I'm really confused on how Adobe allows me to purchase a Photoshop plan, but doesn't allow Chromebook users ability to use their app especially when allowing them to use Lightroom. I hope they're able to change this in the near future.
Problem: The new contextual task bar is great and having it undocked and positioning itself is often very helpful, but It often gets in the way when I don't need it. I find myself continually togling in Window > Contextural Task Bar. Idea: Bring drag+drop docking that exists in other tool bars to the Contextual Task Bar. The tool bar would only contextually position itself when it is undocked. Additionally a dock/undock button would be great since dragging and dropping it to it's position is unneceserry since it will contextually position itself.
I don't think this feature exists, but it would be nice to be able to hold down a modifier key while using a specific tool and have the other options for that tool pop up where your cursor is. It could be a little circle around the cursor or a line right above or below. That would save you from having to mouse over to the tool bar, click and hold the tool button to see options and then select the tool you want.
Prior versions of Photoshop - such as CS5.1 - had the ability to free transform vector shapes on the canvas completely un-restrained to fractional values of a pixel. In the latest version of Photoshop 2025, this is no longer possible (entirely, there are non-ideal workarounds).Even if you disable snapping in all locations: When you try to free-transform your shape using the gizmo, your transformations will snap to (what seems like) pixel increments. Previous versions of Photoshop didn't have this behavior. Here is a video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIbVNdjAzhAIf you watch the video to the end, you will see that it is possible to scale a vector shape or smart object without snapping using the command bar and dragging left or right over the W/H labels. So, the functionality is there but for some reason doesn't work when transforming with the gizmo. As a side-note, nudging (with the keyboard) does work in sub-pixel increments. Scaling does not. When working with lower resolution f
Hi, I've used Photoshop for thousands of hours over my 25 years in print design, web and games texturing. Sometimes in Photoshop you just want to repeat the last thing you did. Whatever that process or step was, to just do it again, to the thing you've got selected right now. Without thinking about the process's quick key -- or it doesn't have one, then digging in menu's and side bars: Imagine, for example: applying a font again, or growing a selection again, applying a stroke again, transforming again *[1], applying a filter again *[2], merging selected layers again choosing the same proof setup again. hitting the Play Action button again. *[1] I know that Photoshop has implemented relatively new actions Transform Again, and [2] remembers the most recent filter. I love these and I do use them! They're great examples, I wish for more of this, but they are supplemental to their process, and duplicating this for every menu function in Photoshop is not feasible. The soluti
Could we please have a "Liquify mode" available for all brushes directly within the main interface? It's surprising that such a powerful and widely used feature remains tucked away in a legacy filter with a separate interface.
Hi guys, Generative Fill and object selection have become super important and everyday tools. Please consider:a) Improving the interaction speed with your servers—it often slows down the process.b) Adding the ability to manually select masks by object, as the auto mode often fails to identify the correct subject. I believe the core of the algorithm is already there. Thanks.
Die Aktionen funktionieren zum Teil nicht, Photoshop statt "Hintergrung-Ebene" "Background Layer" sucht und erwartet.
Hi everyone, I'm interested in recommending this as a new feature within a future release of Photoshop. It is a way to "select" a particular distraction (see attached image—a single tire nub). Then, train or command Photoshop to find, select, and remove similar distractions while utilizing AI technology. Currently, the remove distractions feature is super limited. Is this already possible, and am I missing something I should already be aware of? Let me know your thoughts - OR - if anyone has suggestions on how to go about this another way? Thank you!
This is feedback for Adobe, since it offers no direct contact point, other than a less-than-useful chatbot.I started with PS4, then upgraded to PS5 and PS7. PS7 has been my workhorse for about 20 years, used for photography, artwork, drafting, book figures, and all the patent drawings in 9 granted U.S. patents, starting with 9,401,134 (2016). The only thing I would add to it would be output formats for CNC routers and laser cutters, and versions for current computers. Since my work is proprietary, I want nothing to do with the Cloud. Currently, I've moved my work from a Dell 755 to a 2023 Apple M2 Mac mini, using CrossOver. PS7 runs a bit slow on it, and misses a few tricks, like the right click on the image margin to get "image size". For my current book illustrations I primarily use paths, ruler, guides, fill and line tools, text inserts, level and color balance adjustments, CNTL-T tools to adjust for phone camera misalignment, blur and sharpen too
Once I select a prominent color I'd like to see where/what colors/areas are selected...visually as in a mask. If already possible, please explain how. If not, suggest you add a feature to click to yiled a corresponding mask to see areas affected and to save/apply mask to a layer adjustment of choice. Or perhaps show such areas in gray as done elsewhere in Ps....but that is marginally usewful.
Improve the output with more resolution.Make a curated forum to expand the possibilities of artistic creation with this marvelous feature. I think it deserves more then just a tool of graphic design or dull images, it is furthermore a genuirne revolution in art and I hope to see more devlopements in the area. I have been using it with complex prompts using lietrature and mathematics. I would like to teach on the subject but Adobe could help me in this matter and I would gladly work with your team.
Is there a way to remove the Keyboard Shortcuts for Blending Mode? I have at times hit the wrong key and changed a Blending Mode on a brush without realizing until it's too late and have to start over editing. It'd be pretty helpful with this were an adjustable feature. Is this possible?Thank you
Just began working in the latest version of Photoshop (25.7.0) and when I click in either the ribbon font list or in the character panel font list, there's a left rail of font classes. I can't find the option to turn that font class list off. It takes up way too much space on my screen and I don't need it. Please tell me there's an option to turn it off. Also, it's not in dark mode, which is problematic as well. Using a Mac version of Photoshop.
I suggest adding a set of randomization tools within Adobe Forms (or across Adobe’s design tools, if applicable). These tools would be invaluable for designers and educators who wish to add variability, visual interest, or procedural generation to their designs without manually adjusting each element.Suggested Features:1. Random Color AssignmentApply random colors (within a selected palette or defined range) to multiple shapes or elements simultaneously.2. Random RotationAutomatically assign random rotation angles to selected objects within a specific range (e.g., 0° to 360°) or by specified increments (e.g., multiples of 15°).3. Random Scaling/SizingScale selected shapes or objects to random sizes within defined minimum and maximum values, which are useful for dynamic layouts or teaching scale concepts.4. Random Point Selection on ShapesFor shapes like stars, polygons, or custom paths, allow selection of random points or vertices for animation, distortion, or other creative effects.5.
I thought Focus Mode in Photoshop was supposed to suppress all these kind of "pop-ups" that are very distracting and get in the way of panels such as the one shown in the screenshot below. Photoshop 2025>Settings>Technology Previews (Mac) Edit>Preferences>Technology Prviews (Windows) Enable Focus Mode Some even pop-up right in the middle of the document area when one is actually working on a document. I can't tell you what a distraction that is when your trying show a client some work and these kinds of distractions keep popping up. Photoshop 2025 (ps ver 26.6.1) macOS Sequoia 15.5 2019 MacBook Pro
This is for multi-display users. Given I'm using an older mac (imac 2015) that still works great and using PS 2024. Can someone explain to me why dialogue windows/boxes do not open near the current document, but probably opens in the location you last used it. So for example if I haven't opened the Selective Color Adjustment Window in a while it will open in another screen I probably used it last. So I'll have to drag the window to the currently window (usually my drawing tablet) and use the functions there. Then the same with Hue Saturation or Levels or Curves, etc. Why aren't they opening in the display that is currently being used? Doesn't that make the most logic. Sometimes my tablet is 2-3 feet away from me. I use a trackpad as well, but if I'm using my pen on the tablet I may have to put the pen on the table to use the trackpad (granted I use the trackpad with my opposite hand, too), but it is not workflow conducive. I've been dealing with this seemingly forever, but haven't seen
It looks like scripting listener and recording actions do not allow access to create shortcuts for this.Is there a way to access the layer panel attributes via scripting? I use Not Visible most often, would like to be able to toggle back and forth easily.
Allows for tools to be reenabled if they are not found in the tool bar.
I know it's America but really, generating black or white female park rangers, the first thing you notice is the breast size, seems like the Ai was trained on Dolly Parton
The first suggestion is to create a graphic without coloring using tools. Then the shape layer of the graphic above is filled with colors, but it itself has no effect. I hope it can be filled with colors.Secondly, it is recommended to use tools to create a colored graphic. Then click on the fill in the upper left corner to color it, but the graphic will not produce a preview with the color selection. I hope it can generate a preview.
Concerning Filters / Blur / Radial Blur 1. Add Preview checkbox. If I remember correctly, in the 1990s it took a while for Radial Blur to render, so it is understandable how Preview was left out. Performance is no longer an issue. 2. Support for pointing the center position by clicking the desired center point on the Document while Radial Blur box is open in the foreground, in addition to the "blur center" box.
Why?For plan renderings, I currently use tree/forest scatter brushes with layer styles applied, but this method doesn't look as great due to not having the shadow in the tree canopy. I thought about having a pattern overlay that incorporates trees canopy shadows, but then you have to get precise with tree brush placements on the edge of forests to match up with the texture and if needing to change the shadow direction, the pattern overlay would need to be rotated too and the forest border would need to be refined.General SolutionCreate a tool that can scatter trees on individual layers so bevel and emboss can be applied to each canopy vs an entire forest canopy mass. Downside is it's processing intensive and if there are significant design updates, the quickest thing would be to delete all trees and run the script again so the script needs to be efficient to run on your average laptop. There would be a "forest area" layer that is just a solid fill for where trees should be scattered/sp

I'm working on creating game assets, and I have been asked to save everything (PNGs) with the ICC turned off. I personally really like generating assets for our pipeline, and it speeds up my processes when it comes to exporting them as a batch with different sizes and versions. Unfortunately, Photoshop does not provide a direct option to disable ICC profiles for PNGs during asset generation. And due to the ICC off requirement, I have to use a third party and extra steps just to remove the color profile. It's a poor work around and it would be amazing to have an option to turn off the ICC for generat assets, or even for the entire exporting process. Why is it so hard to turn off, and would it be possible to add a button or command to keep it off for exports?
