Copied settings from odl computer but do not see how to input into new computer  Edit>Presets> only gives me Migrate or Preset Manager options. Input is not an option

I have to fill in small squares on a poster using the quick selection tool, when I select the square, there is no bar saying deselect, with the paint bucket tool coming up and as soon as I let go of the mouse the selected area disappears as if I never selected it in the first place, the only tool I can use is the quick selection lasso tool would take too long to fill it I did try the lasso tool and that bar comes up when I select the area but not for the quick selection tool. (Videos show the tool bar come up when I use the selection brush tool but not the quick selection tool, new to photoshop)

If I un-check the Transfer box and/or set the control to Off, it turns on as soon as I start painting. Photoshop 2024 works as expected.

Ps Update v26.2 and LrC Update v14.1.1 both ask permission "to find devices on local networks" to "allow the app(s) to discover, connect to, and collect data from devices on your networks."What data?Why?Should I have actually read the latest Adobe EULAs?UPDATE: Firefox just asked for the same permission, so I'm gonna guess it was upgrading to Mac OS Sequoia 15.2.

I'm drawing multiple curved, colour lines with the pen tool on one shape layer.  (See screen shot below).For some reason the latest version of photoshop now automaticaly connects ends !?This used to be straight forward - Never used to happen. Is it a bug? Or is there a new way to turn this off?

The jpeg file that I exportted can be read by my laptop, but when I saved it to my usb and insert to my printer it can not be opened.  Anyone have the same problem

I frequently use Photoshop's "Merge Layers" feature. However, I sometimes encounter an issue where I accidentally click "Merge Visible," which is right below it. If I don't realize this mistake immediately and continue working, I later find out that the separate layers I was working on have been merged. Wouldn't it make sense for Photoshop to improve the user experience by placing this command in a different location? Did you have the same issue before?

What I can do with the AI images? Can I use them on my blog or in a conference paper?

I hope I can make this query make sense. If I have psd files with multiple layers containing various changes such as adjustments or other embedded images such as background textures etc., when I flatten the final image to reduce the file size, I obviously lose visibility of what I did to create the final image. I understand that there is a way to track edits in a text file, but I have been using a rather laborious method. I take a snapshot of the layers panel using something like the Snipping tool, and then save that as a jpg alongside the flattened image which can then be viewed alongside the image in Lightroom. What might be the most efficient/easy way to track my edits to enable me to recall them later? Is there some slick action or plugin that would take a copy of the layers panel and then place that image for example on a separate layer? I wonder if that did in fact make sense. Thanks, Martin

On earlier MacOS you were able to right click the droplet as explained in this thread https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-droplet-not-working-for-macos-ventura/m-p/13467622This is no longer a solution on Sonoma.  Have tried to create action and then droplet from scratch. Action runs as it should, but the droplet just get the message that it is damaged.Anybody have an idea as to how we can fix this?

Ok, here I have listed all the bugs I have experienced with Photoshop using a Wacom in Windows ever since Photoshop switched to WinInk. These bugs have been apparent for multiple years and I have them on all my PC's using a tablet display and on multiple installs of Photoshop, so they are not unique incidents. I hope Adobe can troubleshoot these and iron out the last bugs of WinInk once and for all. -"Esc" button doesnt work when doing polygonal lasso 90% of the times.-Canvas scrub/pan using space while doing Polygonal Lasso does not work 90% of the time-Moving a layer in small increments using the Move tool is buggy. The layer snaps back into its original position. you need to use your mouse or move with arrow on the keyboard. This is even if all snapping is turned off. This also includes moving points on a spline in small increments.-Using scrub zoom with a mouse when you have Photoshop on a second monitor and tablet often bugs. It's very frustrating that everytime Photoshop updates it erases all of my customizations.  All keyboard and mouse shortcuts, all preferences, all get reset back to default which is beyond annoying, especially since there is no way to export a preferences file that can be re-loaded after performing an update.

Every single time i open the brush tab and pick a new brush it instantly goes back to the same brush. 

when you are zoomed in to a picture, is there anyway to make hotkeys to move the vertical and horizontal bar sliders to navigate?

I had been working on an assignment, and suddenly, my desktop shuts off. I found the autosaved PSB file in the proper place, but Photoshop is having trouble opening it.  If i open it normally, I get:Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document. if i open as: "Could not open "Mountains.psb" because it is not a valid photoshop document. attatching the file to this post gives me the error: The attachment's mountain.psb content type (application/octet-stream) does not match its file extension and has been removed.

Hello all (:im new to scripting and I was wondering is there a way to have a script which gives a panel with drop-down menu to select layer comp inside a smart object I have on psd file?I just have a lot of artbords in one psd which are just the same banner with different sizes and I want the ability to change a smart object on them to a specific layer comp, so I want the ability to have a panel with drop-down menu who collects all the layercomp inside that smart object and then change the smart object to what I choose. I'm just not sure that its even possible to do with scripting, since again I'm really new to scripting (but I'm using photoshop for about 20 years now).can someone please help?

I keep trying to use my select subject tool in Photoshop. The error pops up " unable to load AI selection model" or "graphics processor has enoutered an uncoverable error. GPU acceleration has been disabled for the remainder of the session" This is a new computer, and Ive never had this problem on other Windows computers
