Photoshop Generative Fill 26.3 not working

If I select an area, say with a rectagular marquee, and then hit my grandient tool to add a gradient within my selection, then draw my grandient, Photoshop will create a new Gradient Fill 1 layer.  Why?  I don't want this, I want the gradient on the layer I had selected.  Frustrating.

hi  if i zoom in 100% on an image my brush circle on my scrren , becomes a hexagon shape and if i make the brush smaller it becomes a star shape . when zoomed out  and i have the brush soft  i can not see the outer line on the brush circle .  any ideas

I shot something over my head sharpening and wondering if I can post the original .nef here for free educational use -- royalty free perpetual licensing released in Public Domain) -- I think it may be interesting in a sharpening exercise sense. I can post it on a download link (inside a .zip) or how would I attach the original .nef here so you would have the original RAW file If this isn't permitted -- please delete here is a peek (I putzed around with it a bit)---shot on Nikon D810, Nikkor 105MM 2.8 4912x7360 (very close)---Sample opened in CS6, RAW, ProPhotoRGB, 16-bit---viewed at 100percent on a 5K Retina screen running Mojave/CS6 I think it could be sharpened better   

Hi, I've up until a few days ago used the generative fill and expand option, to fill out shoulders and silhouttes from pictures that are cropped, in the beta version of Photoshop. It has worked like a charm up until a few days ago, but now, whenever I try to use the function, both with and without a prompt, it starts up (the "Generating" popup starts and the progressbar goes about halfway, until it stops and nothing happens to the picture. This happens both when trying to use the crop tool with generative expand, and also marking an area and using generative fill.  I have also installed the new Photoshop 25, but the same issue occurs here. I've also tried uninstalling both the beta and the new Photoshop, but no change.  Anyone who knows how to fix this? The function is saving me so much time, and I have quite a few deadlines coming up where I could really use this.. Photoshop version: 25.0.0Photoshop Beta version: 25.1.0macOS Ventura 13.5.1

Hi,Have PNG.Wanted: text on path around shape of PNG (eg. where coulor is green I want text, see image)

When I cut  clips of two different movies next to eachother, frames from a clip of one movie muddle into the adjacent clip from another movie. How do I prevent and fix this?

So I'm using a Mobile Studio pro as a screen for a Mac mini. When I first started using it, my finger wouldn't act as a brush in photoshop but out of no where that stared happening. So now if I go to zoom or pan using the touch screen and one finger hits before the other it leaves a dot which which gets annoying if I don't notice it until later. Is there a setting or something I input without knowing that caused this? Or is there something I can disable to prevent that from happening? I know I can turn off all touch options but I feel like that kills the whole point of having a touch screen in the first place.  Thanks in advance for any help!

starting from the left side I've tryed to produce the same result of the right side of the sample image of the Color correct pictures article in Photoshop Features web page.Not only did the image not come out the same as the one in the example, but it actually got worse. how did you do it?😉 

When I group layers in folder, then go to moving tool, layers are not staying together.

Every time I try Generative expand or fill the progress bar pops up, gets 1/3rd of the way through then it errors out with a message that says "Something went wrong, please try again"I've unintalled and reinstalled photoshop, and this issue still persists. How can I fix this so that genertive fill will work again? I rely on this tool heavily to fix images so they work for publications and i need this to be fixed.

Here is what I am trying to do (Using Photoshop 26.3.0 on a Mac running Sonoma 14.6.1): 1. I have 2 PSDs open2. I select a layer group in 1 PSD and then select Duplicate Layers in the Layers Palette.3. In the Duplicate Layers modal I click on the Document Dropdown.4. I do not see the other document listed as a destination. This works sometimes and other times it does not. It is very frustrating as the only ways to fix the issue are to manually drag the layer group to the other document or restart Photoshop. This second option does not always work.  What are possible causes?

I am unable to use generative ai since morning. It keep propmt error saying "we're facing an issue now"  

Canvas borders are not supported in other color modes except rgb mode.I usually work with cmyk, so I make the background white and it's so inconvenient to see the image in advance.I checked the symptoms on several computers and someone said they don't have these symptoms.Can you give me 5 seconds to test it for me? Is there a computer that develops similar symptoms?I use the latest version of Windows 10 and Photoshop. I asked the customer center about this issue twice and Adobe confirmed it, but it was not reflected in the update.

My generative AI function has not been working for a few days, it takes too long to load, and it always eventually leads to "service not responding, check your internet...".I've tried to use the generative fill on several materials that have been successfully edited before, internet working fine (tried using different wifi and my own phone personal hotspot), tried uninstalling and installing it over and over. Now I'm trying to install the beta version to see if it will work or not.Can anyone please help me 😞

I've had a custom action to place a text box with a numeral in Sans Source Pro font on my canvas for about two years.This january, the action began placing the numeral in Myriad Pro font, despite the action still showing "San source 3 VF" as the defined font.When I re-create the custom action, it works properly until I close PS. Then the same action places the numeral in Myriad Pro again.

Hi all, Mac OSX user here - 2019 Intel model, running Sonoma 14.6.1 When selecting layers in Photoshop I often cut so I can paste onto a specific place in the layer stack. But after the last update I can no longer cut...at all. I can't use the keyboard shortcut and the dropdown menu is greyed out. I can only copy. I've never seen this before and it's messing up my workflow. Anyone else seen similar? Is there a setting I need to change or do I have to wait for a bug fix?

I have a smart object in photoshop. I have a need to replace a product in the smart object. So I am double clicking my smart object to edit. I am replacing the linked file with the new product. The new product is coming in with a white background so double clicking that file and removing the background. However when i save it it is not only updating the file in the smart object but it is saving over the original linked file in the asset library. It never used to do this. Can I change this process so I dont oversave master files?
