Photoshop

The Content Credentials (beta) panel is not showing in the Window menu. I can still search for it in the search bar, and it points to the Window menu though.When I open the panel (via search), it displays the following error message:The help page documentation says that the preferences/settings for content credentials can be found alongside History in Settings/Preferences. However, there is no longer a content credentials option there.Was Content Credentials quietly killed off and there are just some breadcrumbs left or is this a bug?

I had just finished saving a large PSB file I had been working on when my screen went black.  After turning the computer back on (it’s a new laptop, and I haven’t had previous issues with it) I opened my file.  I had 3 files open at the time of the crash, and 2 of them opened as Recovered.  The main file did not.  Perhaps because I had just saved it?  In any case, although it contained many layers, there was only one layer when I reopened it, and it was black.  I’’ve attached a screenshot.  I Googled if Photoshop saves temp or backup files somewhere, and saw that it can in the folder path listed below, but there were no PSB/PSD files there.  Is there anywhere else Photoshop may have saved this file on my computer?  Thank you.  C:\Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Temp\ 

In the photoshop generative fill / expand, include the firefly aps that I will purchase as an individual. 

Hi,, other than an unlimited AI gen fill plan - how can you work out exactly how many credits a gen fill will use per image with a single text command?Example - I wanted to try gen fill for the first time with a batch of approx 30 tiff files 7000x6000px.  The simple text command was - Isolate the subject - Mask and remove the reflections and smudges and bright studio light in the mirror behind the subject whilst retaining the original background reflection in the mirror but blur the mirror slightly, keep the main subject in focus.Used Gemini with Nano Banano Pro ticked .I paid for a basic gen fill plan which provides 2000 credits and ran out before completing the batch of 30.  Spoke to chat support and they advised 40 credits per gen fill with that premium model compared with 1-10 for standard Firefly.  So by my calculations I should have had plenty with a few spare?So how do you work out how may credits are needed for say a client batch of 100 files?  I’m probably over thinking this a

Depuis quelque temps, j’ai un soucis en utilisant la fonction “Supprimer l’arrière-plan”.J’ouvre Photoshop, je crée un document, je glisse une photo dedans en drag&drop. Là, lorsque l’image est sélectionnée, j’ai cette petite barre d’actions qui s’affiche, proposant notamment “Supprimer l’arrière-plan”. J’utilise cette fonction depuis des années maintenant, elle fonctionnait donc précédemment, mais depuis quelques mois, un message d’erreur apparait après avoir cliqué dessus: “Impossible de trouver un arrière-plan à supprimer”.Ceci se produit avec n'importe quelle photo, et même avec des photos d’un sujet sur fond uni ou blanc, que l’outil détourait très facilement et proprement avant.Je ne trouve pas d’autre sujet concernant ce message d’erreur sur internet… J’ai un peu l’impression d’être la seule à qui cela arrive…Est-ce que quelqu’un a une idée de ce que je peux faire pour solutionner cela ?Je fais toutes les mises à jour Photoshop dès qu’elles sortent.

Recently, Photoshop has been frequently freezing when switching to the “Hand Tool” in zoomed view and moving around the canvas.A good example is when you trace something with the “Path Tool” at 500, 600, 700, or 800% zoom and then “scroll through” with the “Hand Tool.” Photoshop regularly freezes for a good minute and, of course, still recognizes every click that was made in the meantime. In general, the program often freezes when you are zoomed in and are using another tool before switching to the “hand-tool” (path, brush, text etc.).Program: Photoshop 27.3.1PC: Win11, 32GB ram, 1TB ssd

I just installed Photoshop 2026 on my new laptop (Windows 11) and when I tried to install a third party extension, I found that the Extensions is greyed out. I followed some posts on the Internet to check in the Preferences, but the extension panel option is enabled already. I also tried to uncheck and recheck, then restart Photoshop but it didn’t work. I then tried to upgrade the Photoshop to the latest verion via Creative Cloud Desktop, and also uninstall and reinstall, but it still not available. Would really appreciate any suggestions or guidance! Thanks in advance

Hello, is anyone else experiencing a major slowdown with the Select Subject tool after the latest Photoshop update? It now takes much longer than it should. Before the recent update (and even earlier ones), I could select anything quickly in less than 3 seconds. But now it takes way too long, around 20 to 50 seconds just to select something simple, like a picture of a person standing against a white background. Doesn’t that seem a bit strange for such a simple task to take that long? Is there any fix for this? Thanks.

 The newly added modern user interface does not preview when using “apply image”. It also does not save the last known state/settings of apply image like it has in the past. This means if you are doing multiple apply images you have to select your settings every single time which is a huge pain. Please fix this so preview works and last used state/settings is saved or keep this options in the preferences so I can turn off modern user interfaces. It’s great Adobe wants to modernize the UI. Just make sure it works the same as before. To replicate the issue: Step 1. Open an RGB image.Step 2. Duplicate Red channel and Green ChannelStep 3: Select duplicated green copy channelStep 4. I was resizing a smart object layer (imported logo file) and hit undo when Photoshop instantly reverted back to a much earlier state and lost all steps in the history panel.

Alt + Spacebar that make brush opacity 40% …  I never ever had this issue before … then about a month ago I updated after a long time to 2025 & 2026. This is issue is with both. Again this was never a thing before.Is it a Bug or a supposed to be "new feature"? If so, is there any way to disable it, what is it, why is it so?No where can I find any mention of Alt + Spacebar making brush opacity 40% … so why is it so?I need spacebar to navigate finely & obviously need Alt as well, it’s become a nightmare trying to work this way with everytime having to turn opacity Back to 100%I tried using “H” Hand tool instead, but then it gives me the “Bird’s eye view” which is not suitable for fine navigation where I do not want to zoom out … is there any way to disable the “Birds Eye View”?

I’m on photoshop for web and tried to edit the brightness of the image. When I click and drag the slider, the slider starts to jump around randomly without me moving my cursor. Once it starts glitching, I’m not able to reset the brightness. I had to refresh the page for the issue to go away. I was able to replicate the issue multiple times in a row. 

I have a small, 128 Pixel, Square image (PSD) that will not save as a BMP file.  The image has been flattened.  RGB, 8  bits/channel, and the only channels besides those are a solitary Alpha channel which is necessary for the image to display correctly in the application that I plan to use it in.. I’ve been working on similar projects since PS2, and have never had an issue. I’ve googled all the Help articles, and checked to see that nothing has changed.  The worrisome issue is that I build these images off of one ”Base” file, changing the portions of the image that need to be changed and saving the PSD file.  Some of these images will save as a BMP, while others will not.  When attempting to save the  BMP, the save box comes up, I select BMP files, click Save, and nothing happens… no dialog box asking whether I want 24 or 32 bit, etc I’m not changing anything in the file structure in between.  The changes are basically a “redesigned” image and a new title.  I just opened a psd and save

I have had this problem before but now it’s cropped up again. I’m running PS 27.4.0 on Windows 10. I have done this before, because old droplets work. But now I can’t seem to get new droplets to work. my steps: Create droplet and save it to a dir that’s executable (/documents/adobe/droplets) Right click, go to properties, click on “compatibility tab”. Click on Run program as administrator. Then click on “Change settings for all users”.I used to be able to get the admin icon attached to the droplet icon, like this:  Now when I do this with a new droplet, it just never runs. I keep getting the error:   I can’t for the life of me get it to work anymore and can’t get any new droplets to run. 

When editing a text layer that has layer effects applied (specifically Gradient Overlay with “Align with Layer” enabled), intermittent rendering glitches occur. While modifying the text content, the entire layout may flicker.Steps to Reproduce: Place any background image on the canvas. A detailed image makes the glitches more visible compared to a solid color fill. Select any font and type some text. Interestingly, the appearance of the glitch depends on the chosen font. Apply a Gradient Overlay as a Layer Style to the text layer and enable the “Align with Layer” checkbox. Now try moving, scaling, or duplicating the text layer before double-clicking it to edit the text. 😅You will notice visual glitches. If no glitches appear, change the font and repeat step 4.

I am able to get CMY color from RBG color by using Lighten Blend Mode.    How can I get RBG from CMY?          

While using the Gradient Tool (PS 27.3.0) on a Layer Mask, Mode set to Multiply, this doesn't work properly now.The work around- I have to create a new Group of my layer then add a layer mask and set Gradient Mode to Normal in order to for this to work. This bug is new since I updated PS to 27.3.0

Dragging a photo from outside the window into an object frame in Photoshop will default to whatever the top layer aligns with the cursor rather than the layer that is currently selected. If two object frames are overlapping and I want to drag an image into the lower one, this will not work. If I attempt to drop an image into the 3x4 group frames, my image will instead be placed inside the 1x2 group frames that overlap. I cannot get my image into my desired frames without moving my 1x2 group beneath my 3x4 group.   

Hi everyone, thank you for taking you time to consinder my problem.I have a single raster layer in Photoshop with a transparent background that contains multiple separate white shapes (not touching each other).Is it possible to use ExtendScript to automatically detect each individual shape and create a point text layer (e.g. “Lorem Ipsum”) at the each shape? Before After

I tried to use some very old Topaz plug-Ins. After running the installation script from Topaz they were added to the drop down photoshop filters drop down. These Topaz add ins did not work and hung photoshop.So,I’m trying to remove then. I have deleted then from the addin folder, ran the Topaz uninstall script.They have been removed from the system.The problem is that they still show up in the photoshop filters drop down. Should you try to use them photoshop hangs, How can they be removed from the photoshop filters drop down.Dave
