Photoshop

Hi all! I'm using v. 27.2.0. And all of a sudden, I can't save as a JPG file. I made sure "Enable legacy "Save As" is checked; I tried "Save as" and "Save as a copy." None of these allow me to save as a jpg any longer. I CAN export... but that takes so much longer than just saving! Is this something new in 27.2? Thanks.

I have a bunch of intersecting paths that are forming random triangles. Ctrl+click to select. I want to fill the triangles one by one, changing colors in between. That used to be easy in CC! Leave "contiguous" off, and it would just fill in the single area you filled with your bucket. Can I not do this in 27.2.0 (Win 11)?  

Hi, I have the latest version of Adobe Photoshop 2026, the Swedish version. When I pick the option to adjust exposure, starting with gamma correction and then going for exposure, the gamma correction automatically jumps down to 0,1, turning the image all black. I've attached a video to showcase this bug. I've never had this issue ever before with any version of Photoshop, and it makes working with photos very, very frustrating right now. I hope there's a solution for this.  Thanks in advance! Best regards,Fredrik

I have been using Generative Fill without problems for a couple of months, but now when I try to use it the 'generate' box is greyed out and requires a prompt to be added (which has not previously been the case). If I add a text prompt I am then able to click on 'generate' but I get a box which shows that it is using Gemini 3 / Nano Banana and after about 50% completion the operation stops and I get another box indicating that I have used all my credits and if I want to continue I need to upgrade my plan. I don't wish to use Gemini 3......how do I revert to using the basic Generative Fill.   [moved by moderator from the Firefly forum]

Got this project im working on where there is pixel are involved. Got some really low res pictures that I need to scale up to fit the resolution of my project but whenever I do the pixels get blurred making it look really bad. tried the "nearest neighbor" thing and it did absolutely nothing. any other ways to upscale a low res image and have it be pixelated instead of blurry?

It was an interesting little toy when it came out, but now that you charge for it (with credits) it needs to be, y'know, good! The only practical use I have for it is removing objects and sometimes generative expand, but the latter often completely fails - mismatched colours creating very clear borderlines and the kind of typical jank that was common in AI years ago. It's not getting any better, and if you really want to push AI as the new frontier for Adobe then you just cannot be lagging this far behind every competitor and most free tools out there.  Get it together. 

I have 4 layers selected, zoomed out to 91.61%.When I was clicking the direction keys left and right, to do fine tune adjustments, I noticed the layers did not move uniformly but kind of staggered, so then I started testing it and If you move the selected layers back and forth a few times it will wander to the left after a while. They do not return to the same location.I'm working on a large project and just wanted to see the pixel differents when zoomed out to 91.61% and this is only when the odd bug occurs. Zoom to 100% or closers and there is no issues.Latest certified version installed as of 01/23/2026. 27.0.0

I have been using pPS elemnts for 25 years. I use the shape tool a lot. Now with new PS cc, it no longer functions as it should. I do not make banners and boxes, I do real work and this shape tool is worthless to me. I have been fighing it for months. I finaly had enough and downloaed my elements 9. Well it caused my pc to crash and I lost every thing, had to use recovery. I lost months of work and luckily I am surving the added stress.  The shape tool is now worthless to me. Moving things around for no reason causes great stress. Warn people that all your old software will not work with w11., try it and you'll be sorry.   

Is there a reason that select subject no longer works, or is it a bug?  Or was it changed and has some really dumb extra step that I'm supposed to do in order to get it to work? I tried changing it to device instead of cloud and the button appears like I can click it, and then says I can't do it because it is not available anymore. How do I fix this so that I don't have to keep going back to the previous version, just to select subject and then back to the new one?  Or just use the old version until fixed?  Which is what I had to do for something else similar to this.   Had to use the previous one for almost a year before something was fixed and able to use the new version. Edit:  So I noticed that if I manually click on a layer further down, it allows me to use it........so this definitely is a bug or a bad change that for some reason was intentional.   Before I could do it above my frequency separation group and above my dodge an

I'm trying to figure out how to sort filenames in the Photoshop "Your Files" so it matches the order of Finder on Mac. All of the filenames start with a number, and in Finder these are sorted numerically as in 100, 500, 900, 1000, 5000, 9000. In Photoshop they are sorted as 100, 1000, 500, 5000, 900, 9000 I can't find any way to change this behavior, any suggestions appreciated. PS. This came up because I tried to move 100 files to Creative Cloud and 10 of them failed (silently) to convert and upload. I'm trying to figure out which ones are missing. It would be quick and easy to compare if they were sorted the same way. Suggestions for how to avoid such massive upload failures are also welcome.

Estou tendo um problema com a Galeria de Desfoque do Photoshop. Quando tendo aplicar algum desfoque da galeria, os controle que deveriam aparecer na área de trabalho não estão aparecedo. Por exemplo, quando tento usar o Desfoque Direcional não aparece a seta azul na imagem para que o controle a direção do desfoque. Gostaria de saber como resolver isso.

Using the rectangular selection tool, select an area. Then use the Select/Modify/Smooth operation on it for something like 10 pixels. Now fill the selection with a color and see that the smoothed edges are actually aliased and jagged. To contrast, if you use another selection tool such as lasso and create straight lines by holding down Alt/Option, and create a polygon selection, then use the smooth operation on it and fill the shape, you see that the smoothing is actually antialiased as expected.I'm guessing this has to do with the fact that the "Anti-alias" checkbox is grayed out and unchecked when using the rectangular selection tool, so it's treating it as aliased edges even during the smoothing operation. Finally, why is it so impossible to properly report bugs for Photoshop?

Sometimes, when I open Photoshop, it gives me an error box, and all my actions are deleted. This is the third time this week and 9th time all together since less than a month. I am not pressing any keyboards buttons, and I don't notice thing out of the ordinary before it happens. Obviously I have my action folder backed up, but this is getting a bit annoying. 

About two months ago, all the tools disappeared from my Adjustments panel. There is no Exposure, Levels, or any of the other tools that I normally use when editing photos. This panel is very important to me and makes my workflow much more convenient.I have installed all the latest updates, completely uninstalled Photoshop, and reinstalled it, but nothing has helped so far.Could you please advise how to fix this issue? I am attaching a screenshot showing how the Adjustments panel currently looks.Unfortunately, I do not have a version of Photoshop in English.

Photoshop 26.11.2The photograph workspace sometimes disappears when opening a .arw, after making adjustments in Camera Raw,.  i.e, the panels and toolbars have all disappeared and only the photograph is displayed in a blank window.  I use a toolbar preset that I have saved.  The pannels and toolbars can be restored by resetting the photography workspace and reloading my toolbar preset (.tbr file), but it happens frequently and is very annoying. Steps to recreate:1.  Open a .arw file by double clicking on it in Bridge > Photograph opens in Camera Raw.2.  Make adjustments to the photo in Camera Raw (usually auto adjustments, masks, sharpening, dust removal).3.  After adjustments are finished, click Open > Photograph now opens in Photoshop, but sometimes, the side panels (histogram, adjustments, layers) and toolbars (my own saved preset toolbar) have disappeared.   Steps to restore:1.  Click on Window -> Workspace ->

Where does Adobe provide the cost breakdown of credit use for the following Photoshop AI generative tools. Hello,I have been dealing with a Photoshop issue for the past three days, and nothing has worked. Until three days ago, I had been using Photoshop for over a year without any problem, even when my storage was low. Suddenly, one morning, with 180 GB free space and 16 GB RAM, without any updates, driver changes, or system modifications, Photoshop began crashing. One Adobe agent, almost mocking me, told me to open images via the “Open” method, which is impractical and not normal. Another agent connected to my computer and told me my GPU was broken and I should get a new machine.I asked Adobe if they had somehow banned me, because the same issue occurs on both of my devices. I have done everything possible: reset my computer, performed clean installations, changed drivers, and tried every solution imaginable. Four different Adobe agents connected to my computer and tried numerous things, yet none could solve the problem. Despite failing to fix it, some agents told me misleading statements

I opened an ARW Raw file in PS as a smart object.  I have done extensive edits to a single mask in ACR.  When I close ACR, it wrote the smart object.  It was a bit slow to save the smart object, but that was not surprising since there were a lot of edit.  I then did a "Save as" to save the file with a new file name; the save seems to be hung up.  The lower left corner says "Saving 10%", and has been stuck there for hours.  I checked with Task Manage and PS is using 0% of the CPU, with occasional jumps up to 1%.  After a couple of hours I clicked the X next to "Saving 10%" to cancel the save.  No change.  It's stuck on Saving 10%.   There is only one layer, the opened smart object, and the only edits have been in ACR by double clicking the smart object.  A very routine work flow.   I do not want to loose many hours of editing but I see no way to get PS out of this state so I can recover and save my work.&nbs

Hello All, I know, Scratch disks are widely discussed but I can’t find anything specifically about my issue.   Years ago, when upgrading to SSDs I was told that I won’t need a scratch disk since I have my C drive exclusively reserved for the operating system and all storage on D drive, so: “C” = 1 TB SSD NVMe, 796 GB free of 930 GB … 32GB RAM … Intel i9. (Win11 Pro, latest built) As of late, though, I keep reading I should have a scratch disc after all …???   So, besides the D drive (1 TB SSD NVMe, 680 free) I still have a 2 TB Hard Drive (F) from previous setup, empty / not used.   - Would it make any sense to check that one as scratch disk in PS settings ?   - Just F or both, C and F?   - Does the order play a roll? 1 – 2, etc   - Why are there so many articles regarding “How to empty the Scratch Disk / Scratch Disk Full?” I never have any temp/scratch files … if so, where? With PS and a large file open, I can NOT find any temp files from PS, not on C or

Hello all - I usually print on Canson Platine and in the past have had no issues with selecting its profile (which I installed) and matching recomended media type (semigloss). But I am now trying to print on Hahnemuhle's Bamboo and have downloaded and installed (2x) its profile in Color Synch folder and have successfully been able to select it for soft-proofing and in the PS dialog box. See attachments for rest of settings. I am using a 2021 MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.6. Here is the problem: the recommended Media type is Velvet Fine Art - but all the Fine Art media types are grayed out. I can't figure out why this is? I made some tests choosing the Ultra Premium Presentation Matte media type and it's ok - but I imagine I can get a better image selecting the recommended media type. Also to note:- I first had the paper in the auto feeder slot but switched to the rear feeder as recommended by Epson for their own Velvet Fine Art paper. - The ink has switched out to Matte.&n

Hi All,yes, I've seen other posts regarding the same topic. Yes, images are in 8bit, RGBBut when going to Filter > Filter Gallery .. nothing happens. (Filter Gallery is NOT grayed out!)And here is the kicker: closing PS > restart > now Filter Gallery works!! ... same image.After that .. trying on another image ...
