Photoshop

Hey guys, how do I remove the reflections from the floor, I do NOT wanna use AI Remove as it doesn’t give me what I am looking for. I want to keep the sun outlines from the windows, but make the colors of the floor match. I have messed around for a couple hours and just cannot seem to get it right 

Hi! I use Photoshop on my primary monitor, and I have an additional monitor to my left. When using photoshop, the tool selection overflows to my left monitor instead of remaining on the primary monitor, and I cant find out how to disable this "overflow" setting: This can become quite annoying, as you can imagine. I have googled different phrasing of this, and have come up blank. Thank you for any assistance! 

Is there a way to completely remove this? Even if you make a selection with a large feather radius it is still feathering it regardless, that selection is just invisible. The people here that are answering it are treating it as an error and the only symptom is to not use a large amount of feather strength and try again. The message is really annoying, as I use frequently I might add. So I was wondering if somebody out there could make a script or help me find one, because google itself is littered with this question, but the "resolved answer" doesn't really do anything or relate to what I am asking.Any ideas?I've been dealing with it for years, sure I can deal with it some more, but I just thought it would be fixed down the road, as it is a rather strange bug to leave lying around.

Both times I have used Generative AI to alter photos of nude models, the selected area either generates nothing at all or a black graphic area.  These are nude adults so from what I understand that isn’t a guideline issue.  If it is, then I would assert that most people using Photoshop are artists, and artists commonly have to deal with models or paint human figures, etc.  I have no idea why this would or should be an issue.  Adobe should not be policing what art is made, and in my case these photos are being edited to be reference for traditional figure paintings.  Should I remind Adobe that for thousands of years we have been making traditional, classical nude art?  

I downloaded a .mov video from Adobe Stock.  When i try to open this video in photoshop, it opens only a static black screen.  I can’t import to photoshop at all.  I tried to import video as frames also, that doesn’t work either.How to I open these .mov videos to edit in Ps?The old versions of Ps used to open them. ^ this is how they open, just a black screen 😑

When I use the Lasso Tool in Photoshop version 27.3.1 the selection appears to the right of where my Lasso Tool is pointed. In the included picture I started to at the top left of the dog leash and dragged down on the left, then over to the other side of the leash where it attaches to the dog collar, then up along the right side and finally across the top to the left side of the leash. You can see the selection show where I started, but completes on the far right of the leash. My Performance option “Use Graphics Processor” is checked. Hi-In Photoshop 25.12 on Mac 14.6.1 going into the history flyout panel to "New Snapshot" no longer opens the additional options box for selecting current layer.  Instead, a new overal snapshot is produced like it would be if you clicked the little camera icon at the bottom of the palette.  Any idea if something has changed? 

So recently I have downloaded Nik's Collection 8 to have more color presets to polish my images properly, I like that plugin, but there is a big problem about it. So when I go into photoshop, open up filters tab and open up Nik Color Efex and then I just start to look for some presets that would suit my creation much better and after like 20 seconds the Color efex program just crashes/exits for no reason.Usually I run around this problem by selecting a random present under 20 seconds to apply that color preset onto a layer but when I want to create my own preset or do some other things on that program 20 seconds won't be enough time for me to do my own things on that program.I am using nik collection 8 with photoshop beta 27.3 and as far as up until now I had no problems with photoshop beta itself so it must be nik collection 8's flaw. If anybody has a solution to this problem - please share with it!

 I have been experiencing this error for a while now. When trying to save for web it stops working and gives the warning "Save for web error" "Could not complete this operation. A writer permissions error has occured."Everytme I tried the different solutions found online and they worked just fine but not this time. Everything was fine yesterday but today it just does not want to write this file. I have tried the following:1) reset preferences2) update photoshop3) Restart photoshop4) Restart system5) Give photoshop a complete write access to the disk6) Checking that file and image sizes are the same7) Trying different formats I am on Photoshop 25.0, please help. 

Hi all, I 'm looking to hopefully find (preferred) or create (if needed) an action or script that will automatically determine what the longest side of an opened file is and then change the shorter side of the canvas to the same pixel dimension as the longest one was so the file ends up with a square aspect ratio. I want this to work regardless of the original pixel dimensions of the file, the action/script should not need that to make the file square. The reason I want it to work this way is because we have many images that are all over the map in size and I want them, at this point in time, to stay that way. I just need them to be square instead of portrait or landscape. Secondly any extra canvas that is created should be filled with white. Does this exist or is there a specific way to record the action? I have tried in vain to create one or find one and have exceeded my ability level. Thank you in advance for any insight!

Can I hide those useless buttons since they constantly overlap with other buttons (for example when transforming) 

I am helping a scientist use PS to analyse a specimen image. They want to select dozens of points and create a table of numbers identifying the colors (any way is fine: RGB, HEX, etc.). I can make swatches and click on individual colors then copy each one, but we have a lot of samples, so this isn't great. Is there would be a way to export swatches into a text file? Thanks!

If I export a file from Lightroom (not classic) to Photoshop and then saveas to a different folder the file saves to the same folder as the original image.  I want to keep the edited files in a different folder than all the originals.  There is nothing in the UI that says it saved in a different folder than you choose.  So later when you go look for that file and it’s not there you just assume it didn’t save.  In Classic when you saved the file in a different folder it respected your choice.

I saw someone have the same problem with personal account. I can log in, but nothing happened. I checked that I have the latest version, and my school(zju) have purchased ipad version.The version I use is the latest version PS7.4. And the device is iPad Air 11inch M2 with iPadOS 26.3.I’ve tried using VPN or not, reinstalling, different networks.

I’m not sure how it I did it, but on my old computer, whenever I set my font size to 100 pts., capital letters would measure out to 1 inch high on my project window ruler. It was nice because, 150 pts. was 1.5”, 175 pts. was 1.75”,  200 was 2”, etc. When I got my new computer, I set all my preferences to the same values, but now I have to use 72 pt. fonts to get 1” letters. I’d like to recapture the convenience of the simple calculations, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone,I run a small WordPress site [removed] on my own and I've been designing background graphics in Photoshop. Lately I'm stuck with two issues I can't seem to fix. The graphics look great in Photoshop but once I upload them to my site they turn blurry. On top of that the file sizes are way too big and making my pages load really slow. Not sure if it's my export settings or something else. Has anyone faced this? How did you fix it?Thanks!

Hey, hopefully someone can help me with this but when I drag and drop webp files into photoshop now they arrive TINY visually.  They can be re-sized manually to fit the right size bit I didn’t need to do this like a week ago.  For some history, I work with a team of people doing some things with Dead By Daylight content.  I was asked to make a photoshop file with all the killer perk icons.  To do this I would drag and drop from the DBD Wiki page, it would save the image on my desktop as a webp and then I would drag and drop into PS and it would be the exact right size.  Today when I went to update the PS and add some new perks and do something cool with the images of the killers they import at like 10% of the files dimensions and I can’t for the life of me see why.  I also get a new PS popup about the color grading of the webp file that I did not used to get. Now to get it to the right size I can either re-size manually to fit the page or I can right click the the file, open in PS, I g

 Hello, I use Photoshop for professional editorial work, and Faux Italic is required in my workflow. The problem occurs specifically when I work with vertical text. In Photoshop 2025 and later, if Faux Italic is applied in vertical text layout, punctuation such as the ellipsis (…) and em dash (— / ―) becomes excessively slanted and looks broken or disconnected. Earlier versions handled this much better. Could you please let me know whether there is an official fix or workaround for this issue? This is version 22 on the left and version 26 on the right, which is the lowest version currently supported.*This post has been moved to the bulletin Photoshop eco system board by a moderator.

When I crop things move about wild like how do I stop it.  I just tried to crop and I moved up and the next thing I know I have a document that is 250" high.  Is there a setting someplace that sayswith a check box. "Don not move document background all about wildly when you try to crop. " ?

I have CS3, and have had problems with activation failure. Got told that this would do the trick: Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8   "Receive a new serial number and installer  Get a new serial number and installer so you can reinstall CS3 or Acrobat 8 applications successfully. These special versions do not require activation."   I followed the instruction very carefully, yet everything is exactly the same as before, same message about activation failure. What's the catch? Do I have to say a magic word or something?   I really need to get this working, please advice.
