Premiere Elements

I’m trying to adapt to Premier Elements 2025, after using prior versions (2021 as the latest) for years. Biggest single problem is, I simply cannot find convenient one-frame-forward or one-frame-back controls. In prior versions, there was a simple button, for each of those commands, which would then allow me to use a cut command at exactly the frame I wanted. In the 2025 version, all I can figure out is, keep expanding, and expanding, and expanding the timeline, until I can use my mouse to create what looks like only a single-frame jump at a time. If anyone can help me find a better way to get single-frame resolution, before I cut/trim a video segment, I would be very grateful.

I’ve been using P-Elements for years, and was comfortable with the 2021 version, but that version cannot handle HEVC h.265 files. So, I upgraded to the 2025 version, but that interface is just so, so totally different, I cannot use it comfortably, or efficiently, and since I’m just an occasional hobbyist who doesn’t do this often, I have found it deeply frustrating, and discouraging, to try to learn a completely new and different interface -- especially since I cannot find any way to move forward or backward by a single frame, before I trim a video (I created a separate post, to try to address that problem).My question is, if I buy the 2022, or 2023, or 2024 version of Premier Elements, will it be able to handle HEVC h.265 files, while letting me continue to use an interface which is at least similar to the 2021 version?Or, can anyone give me a complete step-by-step version of where to find (I’m hoping someone can offer an exact link, rather than just some name that I would need to beg

The floating timeline is not working in adobe premiere elements 2026, also after adobe service support said that the problem is solved and the case closed, the problem is stil there, also after the new update.

I've been using 2021 Premier Elements for years, now trying Elements 2025, want to get newly saved mp4(2025) files to match parameters of older mp4(2021) files, close enough for high-speed lossless merging in Bandicut. I've matched frame size, frame rate, keyframe rate, and audio traits; and, I’ve tried both Constant Bitrate, and Variable Bitrate. But, none of those have been good enough for Bandicut, which keeps saying, “no, if you want to merge those two mp4 files together, you will have to use slow frame-by-frame encoding, and that will be lossy.” How many more parameters do I need to align, and what are they? I’m using a Windows 10 system, to create 1080p files, with a target bitrate of 11 Mbps.

Product/Version/OS: Adobe Premiere Elements 2026 — Version 26.0.0 (20251104.PRE.65345cd3) macOS Tahoe 26.2 Hardware: Macbook Pro M3 Max  Problem:I’m trying to key out a green screen clip and replace the background. My green screen footage looks normal and in full color before applying the key. As soon as I apply Ultra Key to the green screen clip and select the green background with the eyedropper, the foreground subject (me) becomes grayscale/grey (looks like desaturated/black-and-white). This happens even if I place a colorful background video underneath. Important: it’s not just a preview issue — the exported video also shows the subject in grayscale. Steps to reproduce: Import a green screen clip (subject in front of green background). Clip is full color normally. Place clip on V2. Place any background video/image on V1 (optional; subject still turns gray even without background). Add Ultra Key to the V2 clip. Use eyedropper to select the green background as Key Color.

I re-loaded Premier Elements 2021 onto a machine I’ve been using for years, when Win 10 got corrupted and needed a fresh install. Whenever I load a template file, to bring in the parameters I want to start with (1080p, etc), it creates a batch of unwanted folders on my desktop (Autosave, Layout, etc). I have repeatedly opened Preferences, then Scratch Disks, and inserted the name of a folder (which is on a solid-state drive other than the one where my Premier Element project files are located, and other than the drive I save my mp4 files to). But, as soon as I close Premier Elements, it wipes out those folder names, and goes back to “desktop scattering” mode, the next time I open it. How can I get it to save, and use, the folder location I keep asking and telling it to use?

After upgrade to version 26.0.0 the effect “Blend” is missing. I used it to change the opacity of source clips. Does this effect now have another name or is there another way to change blend modes/opacity of source clips? 

I love the new 2026 version.  However, I mis the "Next Edit Point" for all tracks.  This is adding signficant time to my work flow.

I changed to a new computer running on Windows 11.I downloaded Premiere Elements 2026.   After two days, for various reasons, I uninstalled it and asked for a refund (which I have already received, thanks).I downloaded again my old PE 14.   But this required downloading a driver -  PxHIpa64.sys - that created problems.   I could however, suspend the memory protection of Windows and download and install PE 14.   I then changed the name of the file and restored the memory protection.    When I finished a first project, I disactivated the memory protection and gave the driver its original name.   This allowed me to burn a DVD using PE 14 on Windows 11.However, when working an a second project, I realized that my computer was not recognizing the DVD burner any more.   I had to request external help from those who had sold me the computer and access to the burner was restored.   But achieving this result wa

Hi, i had to upgrade my photoshop elements 2022 to 2026 because of the macos update to tahoe.Premiere Elements 2022 is still working and i now also have the 2026 version next to it.I 've used over the years the different version of green screen keying but I can't get the new 2026 Ultra Key video effect properly working. It turns my clip into black and white.I have used the eyedropper to select the background color (green) and played around with the options for Matte generation and color correction. No luck.|Any thoughs?Kind regards, Erik.

2 serious beef with this latest upgrade.  1) Why do we have to deal with the horrible welcome screen to get to PE or PS. Just what everyone needs - extra clicks. This screen needs to be taken out and burned. 2) Why does PE put subdirectories all over the place and then not clean up after itself??? Further, where to find the file location preferences now??? PE & PS need to clean this mess up. It gets more convoluted and more USELESS with every upgrade. THINK USER FRIENDLYNESS AND PRACTICALITY over all this AI bull. 

I just got Premiere Elements 2026 and am opening projects done with Version 2023 to finalise them in the new version. A few open fine (they have no titles) ... but others are just empty. I get two messages during opening of the project: Then it opens, all files as project elements are in the library. However, the timeline ist empty: BUT: the project elements, that are used in the video are indicated as beeing used:  I have tried:- deleting all caches- rebooting- removing titles from video and media library- deleting all clips but one last I assume, that 1. PE 2023 stores something somewhere, that corrupts the import and 2. it has something to do with user defined titles (that are not compatible with PE 2026) Any ideas or suggestions?

I have upgraded to Adobe Premiere Elements 2026 recently. The shortcuts for Go to Previous/Next Edit Point are not working as they use to.  In older version when I press shortcut for Go to Previous/Next Edit Point, it use to navigate to the previous /next cut points, despite of Audio/Video/Track number. In this version, when I press the same key it only respects the cuts of Video Track 1. How I can fix this to behave like the older versions? 

I recently acquired a gift of a digital download of Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 2026 | PC/Mac | Software Download | Photo & Video Editing | 3-year term license purchased through Newegg. I successfully downloaded and installed the applicable programs and accessed them, insuring successful implementation. However,two days later, the programs wouldn’t open and if they did, the pages were distorted. I couldn’t locate a repair option; so, I uninstalled the program(s) and attempted to start over. However, I’m now receiving error messages indicating I cannot download/install a previously used copy. I appealed to Adobe experts and one took control of my pc through remote administration and was able to successfully download and install the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2026, but not the the Premiere Elements before we were disconected. Bonjour à tous les monteursJe monte à titre familial des vidéos capturées sur camescope, et mon essai d'aujourdhui ne me permet pas d'aboutir. Sur la page exporter ou partager la vidéo, j'ai bien les différentes résolutions, mais je n'ai pas la ligne qui me permet de spécifier le nom du fichier, le dossier dans lequel le ranger, et surtout le bouton permettant de lancer l'enregistrement.Ma dernière utilisation remonte à début décembre 2025 où tout avait fonctionné. La réouverture de ce .prel me donne le même défaut.J'ose espérer que ce n'est pas un problème de licence qui n'est valable que pour une durée limitée, d'autant que je suis titulaire d'une licence PE2 que je ne peux plus installer ni désinstaller car le disque dur du PC qui le contenait a planté, le disque dur changé mais Adobe ne prévoit pas ce cas de figure, et les gestes commerciaux ne sont pas dans leur culture.Merci à ceux qui ont des idées et peuvent me faire avancer.

Hello,How many generative credits are allocated with the purchase of Premiere ELements ?I can't find the answer on the Adobe site. 

I have a Macbook Pro M1 Max using Tahoe. I installed Ver 26.0.0 of Premiere Elements 2026 (see photo below). There's no Hand Tool! I hit the "H" key several times but only the selection Tool (V) remains. I then selected the timeline panel and hit "H" but no joy. I selected the Program Monitor panel and hit "H" but again, no joy. 

Premiere Elements is a horrible excuse for usable software. It crashes all of the time loosing all work that has been done even with frequent "save" requests. If this is an example of the quality of the Adobe products, I would never ever consider paying for thier "premium" products. If they can't make their simple products function corrects, why would anyone ever trust their advanced products. Deleting software and going back to "FinalCut" on my ancient Mac, at least it is reliable!!

had a 40 yr old beta tape converted to digital. They did a poor job of capturing. I have it on a thimb drive. frame size: 360x464  apspect ratio: 1.8182  Codec: Mpeg-4 avc (h264). I think the bit rate is about 4000. My Goal is to fill the frame horizontally. Right now it looks like a video from a cell phone vertically. I want to make the picture as large as possible without distortion. The picture is also dark and fuzzy. Is it possible to enlarge picture and then work on making it better (enhanced, berigthtness, contrast etc. I know the old analog was not that good to begin with. Thanks for any suggestions

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2025 on December 29, 2024.  It was a three year license term (Dec.29/24 - Dec.28/27).  When I try to get the software it keeps asking me to purchase it but I've already paid for a 3 year license.  How can I get the software?

Part of my video was accidentally recorded in slow motion on my phone.  Can I fix this in Premiere Elements 2026??
