The APIs that allow a GPU accelerated effect to extract its start and end PrTimes on the timeline are inaccessible when the plugin is applied to an adjustment layer. There appear to be no other methods to extract that information, and this makes certain plugins unable to work correctly when applied to adjustment layers. (This bug refers to plugins based on the AE SDK that implement the Premiere Pro extensions for GPU acceleration.)   Steps to reproduce: - Take an existing AE plugin that implements the necessary Premiere Pro SDK extensions for GPU acceleration. - When the GPU effect instance is created, extract the start and end times (in ticks) of the underlying video clip using this sequence: Call PrSDKVideoSegmentSuite::AcquireOperatorOwnerNodeID() passing in the effect’s node ID as received in the PrGPUFilterInstance->inNodeID structure to get the node ID of the clip the effect is applied to. Call PrSDKVideoSegmentSuite::GetNodeProperty() on the clip’s node I

 Old workflow (p for pentool, h for moving the frame, select again with p) is gone, new one n.e., my daily mask routine takes now 2-3 times longerno overlays, edges or anchor points showingoverall very buggy and massively counterintuitive WHY did you do it?

Guys how is possible with a 128gb ram macbook pro and premiere playback still terrible? Or i still have to use a gamma compensation to match what im editing with the export? like seriously.. Im a loyal customer since years and years, but im getting tired of dealing with bugs all the time, this editor job is already very frustrating at times, and WE the customers need a smooth workflow. Is insane that this bugs still here after years for the prices that we pay monthly. again INSANE.

Hit a snag on a project today that I've never seen before.   The overlay on my sequence for my sources show one timecode but when I match back to source file it's a completely different timecode. For example, my overlay is saying the source timecode is 00:29:41:10 but the actual source timecode is 12:34:29:03.  I'm working with merged clips but I also tried with the original raw files and was running into the same issue. I'm working on the most recent version of the software.

Hello, I just updated to Premiere Pro 2026, and now whenever I add a preset to a clip, the focus switches to the Program Monitor or Effects Panel. Because of that, I can’t zoom in or out in the timeline using + and -. Instead, it zooms the small ruler/timeline under the Program Monitor.It’s pretty annoying to click back on the timeline every time I add a preset just to be able to zoom again, especially when I’m quickly going through a sequence adding multiple presets.Is there any way to stop this behavior or keep the focus on the timeline?

The new mask tool is goo and awesome when it works and you do not need to do anymore, and to do masks of humans and objects inside premiere, but when you need to do your own mask, or arrange track position, change path, I simply can not do that anymore, it’s a mess. and happens a lot when visuals change angles, scale, size, rotations. terrible.

I'm not a fan of when people right click on a clip on the timeline and choose "gain" to decrease volume of a clip because it makes the waveform height go down and look smaller. thats what I love about changing the volume in the effects control tab, it doesnt reduce the size of the waveforms...... until now..... This seems like a bug and makes it a lot more difficult to see definitive waveform patterns when the waveform lengths get smaller when i reduce the volume. Please fix this. have been using APE 2026 for a while with no issues. I now cannot put a clip on to edit with the video and audio linked. I’ve used the ‘unlink’ in the past and it is nothing connected to that as the menu will not give me the option to ‘link’. Any ideas on how to fix this would be great as it is doing my head in trying to exactly match the cut on video and again on audio. Only thing that works as one is the ripple delete - even if I try to move a clip manually, I have to move video and then go back to move audio as they will not link up in any way! PLEASE HELP

I have a multicam 90 minute long converstation with 2 people. Each person has their own audio file. I would love to clean things up with text editing but I'm only seeing the transcript for the audio on the first audio channel; A1. Seems like a simple fix but couldn't find anything when searching.  Is there a solution?  I am using version 25.5.  

Greetings.   I hava a timeline that contains both 608 and 708 caption tracks.  The issue I'm having is that both the 608 and 708 cc streams are not embedding in the output file when I export via Media Encoder - Just the 708 stream is being encoded.  The file format being rendered to is MXF XDCAM 422 1080i.  If, however, I do a direct render from Premiere, both streams are embedded as they should be.  Both methods of exporting are using the exact same render preset. I'm working on a windows 10 system.  I have not had this issue previously.

I’m really distraught as I have had this same problem with the last two videos where exporting is either ridiculously slow (predicts something like 31 hours; I do schoolwork on this laptop, and it isn’t feasible for me to not use Chrome for so long), and hangs over and over. The last video I exported hung no matter what I tried, and it wasn’t until rendered it, turned the video into a Quicktime ProRes 422 LT, reimported back into Premiere, and exported as H.264 did it work. I’ve been using Premiere since 25.0 in August, and I didn’t run into this issue back then. It became progressively worse the longer I used Premiere, so I’m not sure if it’s a usage thing or. An issue I’ve run into on my last and current export is the encoding part never starting and getting stuck at 0%. Sometimes it starts and get stuck at a random percent (it was also random, which meant it wasn’t a corruption on any of the clips specifically). Hi all, I am experiencing a glitch with Premiere Pro where any form of dragging does not work. For example, dragging any ‘effect control’ value will treat it as a click and opens the text box, dragging to extend a clip or move a layer simply won’t work, and even dragging to scrub the playhead does not work. It’s a super frustrating glitch that I first noticed in January, but today it’s playing up more-so than usual. This is an intermittent glitch; dragging does & can work, but only half of the time.This issue occurs when using either the trackpad or external mouse, so it can’t be a hardware issue.I have reinstalled Premiere Pro numerous times in an attempt to fix the issue, but the glitch still continues. I’ve attached a screen recording to show exactly what I’m experiencing.I am running Premiere Pro Version 26.0.1 (Build 3) on a MacBook Pro (Nov 2024), 48GB memory, running Tahoe 26.3.I’d appreciate any help and support on this!

So you cannot just post a question here easily any more you have to job through hoops just to post a question. Adobe how do you live with yourself. Insanely poor experience. I have the latest version of Premiere and the Morph transition not only never starts the analyzing it never finishes either. When you do a search you get posts from 8 to 10 years ago with no ability to filter based on date! How does this get past your QA???? you are a software company how do you not understand how insane this is. I am not trouble shooting software from 10 years ago, nobody is.  

How can I break out one stereo track in my timeline into two discrete mono tracks? I know how to do it on a clip, I modify the audio channels. But I have a sequence where there are two audio channels on one timeline track, and I want to break them out into two separate mono tracks so that I can edit them independently, but I have searched all over the web for years for this one and cannot find the solution. Can someone please help?  The sequence is too long modify all the source audio clips and re-cut them in.    

Hi guys, super frustrating.  I am trying to drag and drop a motion graphic into my timeline, but every time I try it says that it is not compatible with my version of premiere and to update to the latest version.  My Premiere and AE are both up to date.This happens with every graphic I try to pull over from the adobe stock essential graphics tab. Screenshots attached.
