In mid August, my PC Tower did not turn on.I took it too a store to have it looked at. They replaced the power.They also cloned my PC, and upgraded it from 1Tb to 2Tb.Everything seems to be functioning… until I went into Adobe Premiere Pro.When I have a project and I click play, it automatically stops after a millisecond or two. It is just as if someone or something presses stop.This makes editing painful.So I got into a ChatGPT loop… and went through so many ideas. One thing I did notice that is strange is that the Device Manager when it opened flashes everything on and off quickly. Not sure if that is something else or if it is tied to this problem.Finally I gave up on Premiere 2026 and tried Premiere Beta. Same thing.Then I gave up on Premiere Beta and downloaded the last version of Premiere 2025 and same thing. I am trying to create captions for a clip where two people are having a dialogue, but my transcript just says"Did do you do. I got a question. I want to fade the text in and out. I can't seem to do it with captions so I made text layers, but it seem like i need to change the placement and style for every item itself.   

Adobe Premiere CC 2026.The only video transition that it will permit me apply to the time line is dissolve.Transformers, slide, wipe, etc. will not apply. They APPEAR to let me drag them to a clip, but do not show up in the Effect Control window.

I am a professional editor who is transitioning from Avid to Premiere and I am finding the sync lock feature very counter intuitive. If I have a finished edit that I am laying music under then I want to be able to edit that music using the extract function without affecting the rest of the edit so as to match certain sections of the music to the edit.The obvious way to do this is to turn off the sync locks for the tracks that have my music on allowing independent edits to the music, (as in Avid), but in Premiere it seems that I have to turn ALL the sync locks off for all my other video and audio tracks to allow me to edit my music track independently. This seems extremely labour intensive when turning 2 sync locks off could achieve the same result. The way it is currently set up is no quicker than turning all the track locks on.Please can you change the sync locks so that turning off any 1 lock will make that track editable independently from all the other tracks.This would also be use

I know it's a silly one but I'm working on Premiere and sometimes I use that menu. It opens downwards from where I click and since I click it only when I'm on the bottom of the screen, the menu only shows some options and an arrow down to display the rest. What I want to do is to make the menu open using all the screen it needs in order to show every option. I know that's possible, I mean every other app does that. I have adobe premier pro 25.6.6. I am using the app Contentcam to get vertical and horizontal clips. Full disclose, I have never made a proxy edit. I know it isn’t hard. To get some of my clients onto the whole spectrum of social media, I have to do two edits. Aside from having to manually place two different lower thirds and sets of graphics, can you edit the vertical first, then apply that to the same horizontal clips?I just wanted to see if anyone has tried this. Of do you have any thoughts before I jump in and try to experiment?

rendering files doesnt work right after rendering window appear after click render in to out. 

Hi, I used CCleaner, and I think it deleted something it shouldn't have.Now, this is what Premiere Pro looks like when I open it: the startup screen is black, and I can't access the section showing recently used files.What can I do? I'm thinking about reinstalling Windows.Thanks for your help. When I click the home icon to go to the main screen, the screen goes dark.Please help. 

I could have added this as a bug.Every time I select the 25fps template to set up my project, I find that the default sequences are 23.98.  Surely they should be 25fps?Wondering if this is by design or did someone at Adobe forget to change the settings?Andrew

My Canon r6 miii is currently set to record video in XS-AVC S YCC422 10-bit (I’m still learning the importance of Codec’s) and my video files are MP4s. When I watch the videos through the camera, all of the video and audio content is perfect. Then I input my SD card into my Mac (os15.3.1) to view the files on either QuickTime Player or Premeir Pro (2026). When doing so, the video now has cuts in the audio where its replaced with loud static, or the audio is fine and the corresponding visuals are glitchy. Every time I load the file, these missing audio/video segments are at different parts.I’m not sure if this is a codec issue? I’m teaching myself the difference between “compressed” and “mezanine” – to my understanding the content I have is compressed and I’m not sure If that has something to do with it. I was out on a shoot for a few days doing some daily edits. After getting home I load up my project and all my clips are saying offline except for the ones already in sequences. Same drives and everything. I can manually link clips and they are located and link without issue BUT I do not want to go through multiple days of footage manually relinking clips. In the attached screenshot you can see in the bin the clips are there just not online. While the clips in the timeline appear in the timeline and if I reveal those in project they appear while the others are offline. So what happened? 

Ever since the new 22 version, this keeps happening. Whenever I'm using effects such as lumetri color correction, or ultra key, the parameters I change simply get reset bak co default, at a random time. So I'd spend 15 minutes setting up a certain color profile for a certain clip, finish it, go to another clip and then when I get back to the previous clip, the settings are simply reset. Sometimes all of them, sometimes just a couple of them, it varies. Sometimes it's happening before my eyes, as I'm filling a parameter, the one I just set above it gets reset. It's incredibly annoying, it results in sending flawed products to clients, it makes me feel uneasy and unable to work properly, because I keep rechecking if everything is still intact, and saving after every single click I make.It happens on more than one computer, more than one operating system, more than one internet connection, there's no correlation whatsoever, except that it started with the 22 version and it doesn't seem to

Whenever i post a job from Premiere Pro to AME  jobs are not getting queued in AME i checked on both tabs  “Queue” and “Watch folders” but nothing is there.I was able to reproduce the issue in another machine by following below steps :Open Adobe Premiere pro , keep timeline ready for export Open AME Export the timeline by "Send to media encoder" It queues into AME Manually killed dynamiclinkmanager with a powershell command Closed AME Opened AME Exported again queue is not happening Here is how i’m posting jobs to AME  var jobID = app.encoder.encodeSequence( targetSeq, destPath}, presetPath, range, 0 );Question : i want to detect this state where queue does not happen either through jsx or  with powershell commands  so that no manual intervention would be required to detect and re-start both the apps.

Using PP 2026 I can make a custom ellipse mask, move it to to the opacity section of effects and adjust opacity to darken the center of the ellipse with the area around the ellipse black, or invert it and get a black center with the opacity slider affecting the exterior.  this is not what I want. I want a clear center, showing the unchanged exposure of the underlying shot, with adjustable black OUTSIDE the ellipse, so I can adjust opacity to create a simple vignette effect.I want to do it via ellipse tool instead of with the built-in lumetri effect for more control.What settings make this possible?  Can it be done right on a clip or does it require an adjustment layer?Nothing I try with blend modes, etc seems to make a difference. Thanks very much for your help! Steve wrongopacity changes inside, not outside ellipse.  

I've been paying for the Adobe Creative Cloud Pro subscription, but for months now I haven't been able to use the regular Premiere Pro app. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times, but every time I launch it, I get the following error:"Adobe Premiere Pro 2026" is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash.I usually end up giving up and using the Beta version instead, but since I'm paying for the full subscription, I don't think it's reasonable that I can't use the standard release.How can I fix this issue and get the regular Premiere Pro app working again?  

I’m dealing with a persistent audio waveform problem in a Premiere Pro project using multicam sequences, and I’ve reached the point where I need someone familiar with Premiere’s underlying audio/waveform system to look at what is happening.The core problem is that the waveforms for these multicam interview clips simply do not reliably exist in the project. Every time I open the project, I end up having to rebuild/regenerate waveforms again. There does not appear to be any troubleshooting step that makes them persist.One particularly strange behavior is visible in the attached screenshots: while the project is initially loading, some of the interview waveforms actually appear in the main timeline. Then, after Premiere finishes loading, those same waveforms disappear.But the disappearing waveforms are only part of the problem. Hi Adobe Community,I've noticed that Adobe Premiere Pro keeps generating .prin files in my project folders. I'm not entirely sure what these files are for. They seem to appear after saving or sometimes even while I'm just working on a project.A few questions I have:What exactly are these .prin files?Are they necessary for my project workflow?Is there a way to prevent them from being created, or at least have Premiere clean them up automatically?I'm using [insert your version of Premiere Pro] on [your operating system], and this has been a consistent issue for me. Since upgrading to the 2020 Version of PP I'm regularly getting black frames at the ends of clips which didn't happen before.Happens on multiple machines, on my windows and mac systems. So far mostly happens to canon 700d footage.I can cut off the last frame and everything works again, but thats just very time consuming to get back to every clip after it is stabilized to check for the ending and if left in the render will fail.

right after updating my mac computer Adobe isn't working. The clips lag and I can't get any work done. 

 VIDEO OF BUG | In the video attached, you can see I make an adjustment to my Lumetri color tab, I play the video, pause it the adjustment is gone. This is also happening when I'm making keyframe adjustments for positions or any other effect. Does anybody know what the cause of this is and how to fix it?

Hola,  Desde ayer tengo problemas para usar Adobe Premiere Pro, en su última versión y en la anterior a ella. Cada vez que quiero achicar un clip en la línea de tiempo arrastrándolo desde su borde (con esa flecha roja que viene pegada a un corchete [ ) se me cierra la aplicación. ¿A alguien le ha sucedido? Es bastante molesto porque es una de las herramientas que más utilizo. He limpiado la caché, he liberado mi disco, he puesto más memoria Ram, he cambiado de Rendimiento a Memoria y viceversa, he actualizado el programa, lo he desinstalado, he usado la versión anterior, he apagado, reiniciado más de 10 veces mi computadora y no logro solucionar el problema.   Gracias de antemano.
