Hi.My students want to be able to work from a computer at home as well as on the computer at school. Does working against Google Drive desktop work well or is it always better to work against a local hard drive? Is there a risk that editing will be slow when you have to constantly sync against a cloud? From what I understand, it's always best to store the files locally on the computer. So we've never tried anything else. We don't have the option to use Lucidlink, for example. Grateful for your advice!

Wanted to see what efficient ways anybody might suggest for two editors to collaborate on a weekly podcast. We tried Lucidlink with Productions and Lucidlink wasn't running well for either of us. One thing we're looking for is the ability to combine our sequences without Premiere duplicating video files when applying color. Thank you 

If you are having very high GPU Usage like maxing out even without doing anything then it could be AI features that came after 25.2 Update and you having old GPUs which doesn't have AI capability. So, simply go to Edit > Preferences > Media Analysis & Transcription > Visual Analysis (TURN OFF 'Analyze all imported media to visually search your projects'). I literally ignored all updates since 25.2 because of this turned ON. I think Adobe should turn this ON by default only to GPUs by detecting if they are capable of AI.

Hi folks, Since updating to Premiere Pro 25.5 (I think) my In/Out points disappear as soon as I click inside the Text or Transcript panel — for example, when setting an In-point and then selecting another line of text. It seems to clear the marks automatically. Has anyone else noticed this or found a workaround?

For the past couple of months, Premiere has been giving me a black screen, crashing, or restarting my laptop. I've reinstalled it four times now, and the error still seems to persist. I have an ASUS TUF Gaming A15. I don't know how to resolve the issue or if it's a recent update. My computer has:AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS (3.10 GHz)32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable) I edit weddings, mostly using Canon 4K files, not yet in CLog. I hope you can help me resolve this.

I updated to 25.5, spent the afternoon working in a new project, closed it, and now I tried opening the project only to get a "Adobe Premiere Pro 2025.app is  damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash"  Luckily, I had not done much work in the project, so I trashed it.  THen I uninstalled 25.5 and tried to open 25.4 only to get the same error window.  Gotta figure this out bc I have several version 25 projects I need to access.  I uninstalled Adobe Createive Cloud then downloaded Premiere version 25.0 and still got the error window.  I'm stuck but need to make headway on a new project.I'm on a Mac Studio M1 Pro/Sequoia 15.4.1

There used to be an elipse, rectangle and pen tools in Opacity. You could crop an area, apply the Gausian blur and it would track the selection. All that's gone now and I have a rush job that requires I track scrolling screens with sensative content I'm being asked to blur. All the tutorials only cover the old way. Now that the tools have all changed, I can't find anything to show me how to do it this week. I'm using Pr 25.6.0 Beta and Pr 2025 HELP!!!

can anyone help me figure out what is going on here? As you can see from the screenshots, Lightroom and Finder show the correct time, but for some reason Premiere is all over the place. Sometimes it shows correct date/time, othertime its way off. What is going on and is there any solution? Thank you!

I was using Permiere pro 2025, I have used it for about a dozen projects, one of wich i had an issue with it not using my GPU. After clearing Media Cashe it was solved. The current project I have that is not working and neither media encoder or Premiere are using my GPU 3080-Ti. I have installed the updated drivers and cleared Cashe, all settings are greyed out and to use CUDA GPU graphics enabeling. I have never liked adobe products they never run well.   [Branched from older thread by mod]

The Channel Mixer effect has been deemed, "obsolete. " I assume because of old code,  but what new effect can duplicate its features?  I use this effect to accurately and easily create monochrome RGB color seperations of color footage. (As if I shot on black and white film with an R, G, or B  filter.)  Once I have that channel seperation I use it on a layer above with the luminosoty blending mode to add customized color punch to the color footage below.    If I try to replicate this with Lumetri curves by pulling out the unwanted channels and desaturating it it does not produce the same image as the old channel mixer would.  Its density is wrong, its darker and it also does not behave properly when using a blending mode.   Is there an updated replacement for this or am I going to have to dynamic link to AE and use its channel mixer or suffer with the horrible realtime performance of the old effect? 

Help!   Working on a feature documentary with archive footage of different frame rates. The project is 24fps.   In the last few days I've noticed that when interpreting 29.97fps material as a 24fps it's adding duplicate frames which gives it a stuttered look. This is also happening when interpreting other frame rates as 24fps.   I feel like I'm going crazy, because I'm pretty certain that when I've done this in the past it's simply slowed the clip down by the requisite amount - to include every frame from the 29.97 footage in the 24fps timeline.   I'm doing this via the 'modify clip/intepret footage.' And for 25/29.97/50/60 fps footage...   I updated to 24.6.3 not so long ago and wondering if this is a bug in this version?   Pulling my hair out on this and can't see a releavant post on here addressing it - which makes me feel even more crazy.   Any help really appreciated.

I have an 8mm and Super 8mm film scanner and it captures the films at 20fps, which looks perfect (some capture methods at other framerates can make the footage look sped up or slowed down). I can edit the files in Premiere at 20fps, but when I go to export, it won't allow me to export at 20fps no matter what container or codec I choose.I'd like to keep the final exports at 20fps because converting them to 18, 24, 60, or something else causes noticable frame smearing, jumping, etc. Is there a way to do this? If I used the Apple Pro Res codec as my previews codec and rendered all the previews, then choose "Use Previews" when exporting, would that keep it at 20fps even though it won't let me choose that from the drop-down menu? Then I could take that file into something like Handbrake and export the h.264 from there. From what I understand Handbrake will let you export using h.264 at pretty much any custom framerate.Edit: I tried rendering previews and then exporting and telling it to "Us

I usually create proxies through Premiere Pro using the Low, Medium and High Proxy settings, but recently, I tried to create proxies directly in Media Encoder, and I could not find those settings in the presets.Are those settings available in Media Encoder?Can they be created as a custom preset?

Hello,I'm working on a feature film that is still in production, and I've run into a series of critical issues after receiving a new batch of media from the post-production studio. The project was running smoothly before this.Here are the specific problems I'm facing:Sudden Performance Degradation: The entire project has become sluggish. Timeline navigation and playback are laggy and unresponsive.Frequent Crashes: Premiere Pro is now crashing constantly, which was not an issue before.Broken JKL Trimming (Rolling Edit): When I try to perform a rolling edit trim using the JKL keys, the clip edge moves by 5-10 frames and then immediately snaps back to its original position. However, trimming frame-by-frame using the interface buttons (+1 frame / +5 frames) works correctly. If I create a brand new sequence and copy-paste all the clips from the problematic one, JKL trimming works again, but the issue returns after about 30 minutes of editing in the new sequence.I have already confirmed with

I just upgraded to Premiere Pro CC 2017. Much to my dismay, the "Replace With Clip" functionality is not working. I've restarted Premiere and restarted my computer with no results. I'm certain I have the clip selected in the bin and the clip selected in the timeline.I'm working on a PC running Windows 7 with plenty of RAM (16GB). I've never had this problem until I upgraded to 2017.Here's a screenshot. The "Replace With Clip" item is greyed out in the contextual menu. My keyboard shortcut to "Replace With Clip from Bin" does not work either.I use this function all the time and need to find a solution pronto!

Ich habe Premiere CS6 auf einem neuen PC mit Windows 11 installiert. Das funktioniert einwandfrei. Das Problem: Es existiert ein älterer Laptop mit Windows 7, von welchem ich das damals erstinstallierte CS6 nicht deaktivieren kann. Ich habe mich als Adminstrator angemeldet, Aktualisierungen durchgeführt und den Application Manager installiert. Ich bekomme immer die Fehlermeldung, ich sei nicht mit dem Internet verbunden, was aber nicht der Fall ist. Daher kann ich auf dem neuen Rechner die Seriennummer nicht freischalten, da die maximale Geräteanzahl (2 St.) erreicht ist. Es gab zwischen den beiden Geräten nämlich noch ein weiteres, auf dem CS6 installiert ist. Dort möchte ich die Software aber nicht deaktivieren, da sie dort ebenfalls noch im Einsatz ist. Ich habe Stunden damit verbracht, nach einer Kontaktmöglichkeit (Chat, Email?) zum Service zufinden, der mir weiterhelfen kann. Irgendwie dreht man sich auf der Arcor-Seite im Kreis und kommt nicht ans Ziel. Ist es denn nicht möglich

Hi everyone, I’m working with some underwater footage for a scene on a film, and both cameramen who provided the material mentioned that it’s worth slowing down the footage beforehand to make it look smoother. The first one suggested slowing it down to around 80–90% of the original speed, while the second recommended converting the 60 fps footage to 25 fps. What would be the best approach? I’m editing in 25 fps and the footage is in 60 fps. Should I just drop it onto the 25 fps timeline, or should I interpret the footage as 25 fps, or is there a better approach?  Thanks 

Obi wan.. paying 30 bucks a month, can't launch.. go to run exe file in adobe premiere pro 2024 exe, says:adobe premiere pro.exe application error the application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142).Can't figure out solutions, no live chat help support. Meanwhile, getting billed. Can't launch Adobe premiere pro 2024, even though I'm getting billed for it. No chat support available.. maybe cause it's 3:51pm Saturday.. no, not late in the evening. oh well.. guess I'll just keep getting billed for a product I cannot launch. 

ADOBE PREMIÈRE PRO 25.5MAC BOOK M3Je place comme d'habitude un masque ( flou gaussien) sur une zone dans mon image, et lorsque j'appuie sur la flèche blanche "suivi du masque sélectionné vers l'avant",  le suivi du masque d'effet ne s'affiche plus en lecture dans la fenêtre programme.  L' effet est pris en compte, mais on ne peux plus le visualiser durant l'éxecution, ni donc vérifier au fur et à mesure si il faut agir dessus.

I am doing a voice over. My problem is that each time I record a new clip I have to apply my audio effects to it manually (this is tedious). I know I can apply effect to an entire track, but I can't seem to apply my preset to it. The problem is that i don't want to manually replicate my EQ mixing in the new window.
