Hi everyone,I’m running into a strange issue in Premiere Pro and haven’t been able to fix it. In one of my projects, the view and functionality in the project panel has gone wonky. For one, a checkbock has magically appeared immediatedly after the furthest left display, the color label. I did not add this, and in fact I dont even know its purpose or what the display is even called. Also, the bins in the Project panel now will not expand at all. Here's a summation: A small checkbox appears to the left of every bin and clipThe disclosure triangle stays pointed to the right and does nothing when clickedThe bin behaves like a selectable item instead of a folderDouble-clicking a bin opens it in a new tab instead of expanding itProject panel is already in List ViewOther projects behave normally... only this one shows the issue Here’s what I’ve already tried: Resetting the Project panel view presetToggling between List / Icon / Freeform viewResetting the wo
Hello ! I feel like I need to ask for some serious help here because I don't know what to do...I recently cleaned up my computer and deleted a lot of Premiere Pro and After Effects cache files that were taking too much space on my Finder. Then I uninstalled both software, and reinstalled them in 25.5, in order to completely reset it so that it took up less space. Since then I feel like the Dynamic Link is broken between the two software. Everytime I use the "Replace with an After Effects composition" function, my file is replaced each time by a glitch which I attach to this message.I tried several things:- First check that the two software programs were exactly the same version (they were)- Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool- Install older versions of both software- Check the version of my computer and if the new update is not restrictive for Adobe and Dynamic Link (I have a MacBook Air with macOS Tahoe 26.1)- Save a prproj file from Premiere Pro, launch it on After Effects,
I updated Premiere yesterday and now my current projects will not open. I get the message that it can't open because "It was created with a Newer version" which makes no sence becasue I was using the most current version of Premiere until that version updated to the NOW newest version. How do I get my projects working again? PLEASE HELP!
I'm experiencing playback issues. Like clockwork, every 10 seconds of playback in the timeline, the video and audio skip for a split second and go back to normal. Then repeats every 10 seconds. I've tried all of the troubleshooting (changing audio hardware settings, 1/4 quality playback, proxies, and unchecking high quality playback). Nothing seems to work, and the error doesn't seem random. I provided a screen capture, but the screen capture doesn't show the audio/video stutter; it just pauses for a split second at 7 seconds.Mac OS 15.6.1Mac Studio Apple M3 Ultra 96GBPremiere Pro 25.4.1 (Build 3) Also tried 25.5
I am getting an error when I try to open a project I was working on two days ago. "This project was saved in a newer version of Adobe Premier Pro and connot be open in this version" but I have no updates and am on the latest version. Anyone else getting this error? Is there a fix?

I am VERY new to Premiere Pro. I have watch several tutorials, but I can't find an answer to this.I have a clip where the speaker says "um" a lot. Is there a way to globally remove them? I see where one can remove background noise, but this is in the dialogue. Please be specific. I don't know what I am doing.

I'm working in the latest version of Premiere Pro 2025, Version 25.6.1 (Build 2) on Windows 11. The issue is as follows:Whenever I press play, I get a yellow triangle, and the error: Can't find audio output channelPremiere Pro can't find a valid output channel for audio playback. Please check your audio hardware preferences. The strange thing is, my audio hardware is set up fine. I tried all the options for outputs, the error keeps coming up. Additionally, when I scrub the timeline with my cursor, I do hear the audio being played. But when I press play, I get the error again. This issue has been recurring. I rarely use Premiere Pro, but I need it for ingesting footage for a client. Starting a new project does not help, nor does reinstalling premiere pro. Today I've been working on a project and I've had to transfer it from one computer to another via USB which was troublesome enough (I had to reformat the USB). I used Project Manager to copy all of the files required onto the USB and now I have opened the project on the other computer and it's saying that there are missing media for some clips. So I decide to manually locate the media files even though they are in the exact same folder that the project file is in. So I do that and now Premiere Pro is giving me "Cannot Link Media. The selected file cannot be linked because its file type (video) does not match the original file's type (audio and video).". This is simply not the case, as when I watch the videos in Windows Media Player (now called Films & TV) the video definitely has audio. The videos are in MP4 format. I have used Project Manager to move a project from one computer to another before and it worked fine. Help.
is there any Premiere shortcut can do this ?trim select clip to playhead->
Hello, I'm the author of a Premiere Pro plugin called "Mask To Transform" which is able to convert the tracked mask into position/scale/rotation keyframes that can be applied to a Trasnfrom effect to e.g. make motion graphics "stick" to an object in the scene etc. My plugin is officially available in Exchange: here's the link https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/105713/mask-to-transform Now with the new masking soluion in Beta my customers are writing to me that my plugin stopped working and it would be amazing if I can make it work with the new (and admittedly pretty awesome) object masking. The problem is that the object mask data sits in a binary file on disk and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to read it. So my question is: for the purposes of extention development is there a way to somehow read the data stored in these object mask files? Thanks,Kamil
I’ve been running into a playback issue in Premiere Pro that I can’t fully understand. Even with a system that should handle editing without any problems, the timeline playback starts lagging, stuttering, or dropping frames after a few minutes of editing. I’ve tried several adjustments, but the issue comes and goes depending on the project. Before going deeper, here are the things I’ve already tested:What I’ve Tried So FarLowered playback resolution (½ and ¼)Cleared media cacheEnabled/disabled GPU accelerationSwitched the renderer between CUDA and Software OnlyDeleted preview filesMoved footage to an SSDClosed background appsUpdated GPU drivers and Premiere Pro versionThese steps help a little, but none of them fix the issue consistently.Specs (Summary)(I didn’t list every detail, but it’s a strong machine with plenty of RAM, SSD storage, and a modern GPU.)So Premiere Pro shouldn’t be struggling with basic playback.Patterns I’ve NoticedThe lag increases when Lumetri Color is appliedHigh
Hi!I have a quite simple situation: I have a sequence with multiple video clips. I add a music to all the clips and I want then export each signel clip as an individual video. The thing is that for the music I want to have a fade out to silence at the end of every clip and a fade in of the music at the beginning of the next video so that each exported clip start with silence, then the music fade in and before the end the music fade out and we finish in silence. Hi have many many clips so I would like to automatize this process... Also I would like if possible to export each single clip automatically without the need of setting in out point for each of them. Thanks a lot!Luca
Hello to all. I'm having an odd issue in my Premiere project setting where I cannot select anything for my renderer/playback. The dropdown menu doesn't open at all and the wierd thing is that GPU acceleration is auto selected but greyed out - I can't open the dropdown to select anything... I don't necessarily have a problem with premiere auto selecting GPU but I'm not positive if my GPU is being utilized in certiain instances. Has anyone seen this issue before? I'm running Version 25.5 and my GPU is a Geforce RTX 4070. I just need to confirm if my GPU is being utilized correctly or not.
Hello,I have a sequence with anamorphic 1.5x footage which I already interpreted as this (DVCPRO HD 1.5) and it's all fine while working inside project and exporting as video. But when I try to export a frame - the photographic camera icon tool below the preview screen - I end with a non-interpreted frame as anamorphic, de-squeezed like the print attached. How can I export frames to be exactly as the sequence shows? Thank you.
I have images in a separate track that appear over the top of my video clip. When I switch to a new image, is there any way to crossfade the images?
Hey there developers of Premier Pro. I've been using Premier Pro for years, and it's such a great piece of software – but the recent update to Premier Pro has got me a bit dumbfounded. I've only recently stumbled upon this MASSIVE oversight due to being intrigued by the new masking features in Premiere Pro Beta. I've used masks a lot in the past, with copy/pasting masks from one layer to another, which makes logical sense – just as you can copy/paste effects/settings/positions/opacity from one layer to another – so I'd like to ask, why/how on earth did you guys think it was a great idea to make mask data non-copy/pasteable from one layer to another? This is a HUGE oversight, and I can't fathom how you decided it would be a good idea. The consistency of Premiere Pro is that you can copy/paste ANY setting/effect/added feature from one layer and paste it to another – but mask data is currently IMPOSSIBLE to copy/paste from one layer to another? Yet it used to be a feature (because it logi
I know this is a small, nitpicky thing, but it is a little bit annoying that we can't resize or move the Premier window while exporting. Right now, I would love to do some other work, but accessing my desktop is prohibitively annoying. So I'm writing this post instead!
The playhead is on a coffee break, making me wait forever to see it work!
I'm having comically bad results with the following four plugins in Premiere Pro 2025. FilmConvert NitrateFilmConvert CineMatchCineDreamFreeLab I'm using Premiere Pro 25.5 in Windows 11 with an RTX 3060 graphics card. The results look the same from all four plugins: just a mess really, an underexposed hideously contrasty inappropriately colored dump. My question: Could there be a single setup error (or user error by yours truly) that's causing this? All four plugins formerly behaved normally with the footage I'm shooting with iPhone 17 Pro in Apple ProRes LOG 4K/30. With Canon C-Log 3 footage from my Canon EOS R6, the plugins do nothing at all - they simply don't work. Nothing happens. Go figure. Ain't tech fun? George
My Premere Pro Timeline doesn’t show video preview.I have Deleted Media Chace files. but does not working.
Ho realizzato un video 1920x1080 ma dopo averlo esportato sia con premiere o media encoder, la sua visualizzazione appare tagliata, cosa sbaglio.grazie per la soluzione
Hi everyone,I’m hoping to get some guidance on a captioning workflow question in Premiere Pro. I want to make sure I’m doing things in a clean, scalable, “best practice” way, especially now that I’m working with a larger volume of footage and dual-language subtitles. My Setup & WorkflowI have a large “Dailies” timeline that contains every clip from a shoot in strict chronological order. This is where I do all my caption creation/adjustments.My workflow looks like this:1. Double-click a clip → open in Source Monitor2. Use Window → Text → Transcribe3. Generate captions from that transcription (Premiere creates a new captions track in the active timeline, which already housed the source clips that I transcribed.)4. Now the captions exist in the Dailies sequence.Everything works great up to this point. The Problem / What I’m Trying to SolveWhen working without transcriptions/captions, I’ve normally created new edits (Reels, other short videos, longer sequences, etc.) by eithe
Before Première Pro 25.5.0 (build 13, Windows 11, Nvidia 5090), when one would grab and move an audio transition handle*, it used to also select the audio-transition itself. If you for example moved the in-point of the transition, and then directly hit delete, it would delete/clear the audio transition. Since I updated Première Pro, moving the transition in-point does not select the transition anymore. I am so used to grabbing the handle and pressing delete (since otherwise, you have to zoom in to select the transition itself). Was this change of behaviour intentional?*
