How can I duplicate a shape layer in a Premiere Pro extension?I know that Track.overwriteClip() can "duplicate" a new clip for source-linked media, but how can I duplicate a graphic clip?

Hi Caroline, We stumbled upon an old post about QT Gamma Compensation where your files were being referenced. That was this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20240524125853/https://community.adobe.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-... (this is web archive). Since the recent Cloud Files change in Adobe (I thought from May) these files are not accessible anymore. I have managed to find the original QT Gamma file that adds the correction, but I am missing the 'undo' file still. Is there a way for you to retrieve these files? We would be thrilled if it's possible to still get the undo file. Kind regards,Joost Adams

Premeire Pro has all but quit on me.  My recent project is stuttering and is so delayed it is unworkable.  I have tried everything.  Its not a "user error", I have been using Pro for 5 years.  I honestly think the program on my laptop is corrupt.  I use proxies, I have cleared caches, cleaned up my hard drive, messed with audioinputs, my driver is up to date, I have plenty of RAM,etc. When I open Pro it now is telling me that certain old projects were opened just a few days or mins ago and that is completely not true. Is it possible to reinstall Adobe Pro without losing my recent project?  If not I have to cancel my subscription.

i am leaving adobe over how bad premiere is. Does anyone at adobe care how buggy it is?  Worked on a large editing project. Imported a clip and lost everything and cant seem to get it back. How can the product be this bad?

HELP, PLEASE. I'm not claiming all these neurodivergent titles but the fact that the window changes every time I click to look for something is QUITE frustrating and makes it difficult to use the app. I've been an Adobe user since 2005, specializing in Illustrator, Design, Photoshop, and Lightroom and love that I can easily click a button and the window panels etc doesn't JUMP around. Can this NOT be a thing anymore, Adobe designers? I'm tired of watching youtube videos to make it stop, or to find something that should be simple. LIKE WTFLIPMODE! WHY IS THIS LIKE THIS! Can someone please make it stop. It's literally causing my blood to boil and all I'm trying to do is edit the captions but can't see the editing tools when I click properties. It shouldn't be this difficult to complete a simple task and I shouldn't have to keep resetting the workspace.

Hi thereI'm working on a project shot at 4k but I'm editin/exporting it at 1080 to allow for a bit of cropping, zooms etc I've noticed that on some of the footage where I've zoomed in a bit to 60 or 70% it looks blurry? any help on this would be greatThanks!

I am working on Sony Fx6 Footage which was shot on 4k Full Frame with some of them was shot with 25 frames and some clips was shot with 50 frames. When I have created proxy files all of it at once, after that my 50 frames original clip is now 25 frames in proxy. And I can't find any button/option to change frame rates too during the process of creating proxies. And it's my ongoing project.Thanks in advance.

I'm able to successfully compile, and the effect runs in Premiere when I test it, but it runs in CPU mode only. Is there something I need to do with the sample project to make sure GPU will work? Or does it have to do with the other things used in compile like boost, directx compiler, cuda? Like maybe I need different versions than the latest versions?Can someone familiar with the SDK help me? I plan to customize the effect to do what I need later, but for now I just want to get the sample project to work with the GPU, because GPU acceleration is important to what I will need later on.

I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find a solution to the exact issue I've been having.Lately, when I've been trying to mask out a moving clip using either Crop or Opacity masks in Premiere Pro CC 2019, I've been finding that the Mask Path keyframes will not interpolate between each other as they're supposed to, rather jumping to the next keyframe on that frame and sticking to it until the next keyframe comes along. This forces me to keyframe every single frame, which, along with being far more time-consuming, inevitably leads to some jittering edges since it's near-impossible to place the points as accurately between two keys as the program can. This feature used to work perfectly for me in previous versions of the software and I could create high-quality masks relatively quickly, but now it's a time-consuming mess with less-than-desirable results.Does anyone have any idea of a solution to this issue? I am learning color grading. My Samsung monitor has 3 "standard" settings.1. Standard2. Cinema3. Dynamic Contrast.When I color grade for "standard" and then switch the monitor to "cinema", it looks terrible. Then I set the monitor to Dynamic Contrast, it looks better than "Cinema" and different from standard.When I look at a movie with the monitor on "standard", it looks flat, washed out a bit. When I set the monitor on "cinema" the movie looks much better. "Dynamic Contrast" improves the way the movie looks too, but "cinema" is betterI know that most people will not have a Samsung monitor like mine. I think the actual cinemas will not have the exact, if close at all, setting I have for "cinema". I also have a BenQ that has an sRGB setting which looks closer to my Samsung in "standard" than the Samaung in the other two, "Cinema" or "Dynamic Contrast".Any advice on what to do? Hello all, How can I assign a native shortcut inside premiere pro to run an Automation Blocks script? I saw in the knowledgebase that there are workarounds with 3rd party apps, but that is not elegant, there should be a Premiere Pro native way to do this.

Unfortunately it's a known bug in Premiere Pro that Adobe has chosen not to address. It seems to appear and disppear with updates. It's why I'm evaluating DaVinci Pro as an alternative because for my work it makes PP unusable.

At work, we have a Production where, every time I open a project within it, the Preview Area shows up, taking up a bunch of real estate at the top of the project panel. I have "Preview Area" (toggle) mapped as a keyboard shortcut, but I'd love for the Preview Area to stop showing up unless I want it to.At the same time, since this is a Production at work that many people are working in, I don't want to do this for everyone working in the Production - just me.Is there a setting to make the Preview Area stop showing up unless I want it to?

Hello, i have a film project i was in the middle of. i took a break from it for a while and when i decided to go back in and open premiere pro. it wasnt there.!the home window that shows all recent projects didnt show up either.. the adobe project folders and auto-save still have project files. just not this specific one im looking for...ive done a system search, etc and still cant find it.!im hoping its just buried somewhere in the data for me to dig up. however im not having any luck.!...how could that even happen, their should be a project file somewhere.!!! any thoughts that may help are appreciated..  thanks.!!!

The Media Encoder is crashing consistently whilst trying to export a project to MP4 video format. I had the project at around 15GB for export but crashed consistently .It didnt like a Warp Stabilizer preset so deleted that from the project. No go still crashed. So then I cut the project in half Part 1 and Part 2 as speparate projects. Tried part 1 at 7.42 GB with 6 sequences for a total duration of around 31 minutes, crashed at 3mins 58 sec into encoding roughly about 2/3 the way complete. It also causes the AMD Graphic to crash as well . I have had soo much drama with this lately and at the point of looking for some other editing program as this is so frustrating.Since posting I have tried to further reduce the size to see if that helps. There were so many issues I have had  to walk away but will attach these Log Reports if anyone can identify the issues

I have searched everywhere for a fix, but I can't find anyone else who has ever had this problem. I have tried every fix that I can find for problems even remotely similar, such as deleting the cache, reinstalling, resetting, restarting the entire project, replacing the problem clips, and so forth. Nothing has worked.  I am trying to edit some audio for a podcast, and when I first started the project, all 6 lines of individual audio worked fine. It wasn't until I finally finished editing the 3 and a half hours worth of audio that it started having problems. Randomly, the audio files started grabbing different parts from other sections of the project. For example, my A1 audio track is completely jumbled to the point where it's randomly pulling audio from that same track from different points in the project, then just throwing them wherever it wants. I am using the latest updated version 23.5.0 (build 56) and the Auto Reframe Sequence was working just fine until yesterday. When I try to reframe it from, for example 9x16 to 1x1 , Premiere crashes. Any ideas why?Thanks!

Hey y'all, I'm trying to figure out how to add a wait timer to my while loop in Automation Blocks.I want it to wait 1 second before it executes again. I need this for sync folders so it checks them to sync again every 1 second instead of hammering the system resources and syncing every nanosecond. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciate to help me solve this. If this is completely impossible then I ask the developers of Automation Blocks to please add this functionality.

Greetings,  The Undo ( Ctrl+Z ) and Redo functions have stopped working for me after I installed Premiere Pro 22.6.4, since 23.4 is supper slow and not working properly.  Now the Undo/Redo Functions are missing and grayed out from both versions. The Copy and Paste fuctions do work and it's not a keyboard shortcuts missing issue. I searched the community and this is what I have tried with no resolusion: I've cleared the Preferences for both on start up.I've Reset to a Saved Working Layout and still no resolution. I only have an US keyboard installed. I Uninstalled and re-installed both.I Uninstalled both, then deleted all Premre Pro 23 and 22 user folders in Documents folder and /Users/Shared/Adobe/ and then re-intalled only Premiere Pro 22.6.4 and the same problem persists.  The computer I'm working on is an iMac with the following specifications: MacOS: Monterey Version 12.6.6iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)Processor: 4 GHz Quad-Co

Hi there. My premiere pro won't open anymore. Everytime I start up the program it gives me this error saying - "Display Surface Initilisation Failed" and then exits the program. My iMac and premiere pro are all up to date and I can't seem to sort this issue out. Please help someone.

I want to set two keyframes (start and end), assign them values, and set their interpolation to Bezier (or Hold, depending on the case). V25.3 and MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1   I can't seem to change the value of either of the two cache settings here.   I can save as a new value, and restart Premiere... but when I go back to the settings they are back to 90 days and 233GB   Is there a way around this?
