Whenever I hover over certain documents, I get this weird pop-up showing the page number in the bottom right corner. It sometimes looks like this; sometimes just the page number. I am using old acrobat for viewing pdfs and have “enable text indicators and tooltips” turned off. It seems to happen only with documents that I have converted into searchable/editable text. It happens with any tool selected, but seems to go away when I move my cursor off of the page.
The starting point is a 250-page InDesign document with 100s of EPS illustrations and a dozen screenshots. When the PDF is exported it is way too big to share easily and I need significant size reduction. The final PDF will be sent to a commercial printer and posted to the company Website, so quality cannot be sacrificed. Thanks much!!
Hello, For the last two years I have had consistent problems with Acrobat Pro DC being extremely slow/stuttery while scrolling, highlighting, commenting on a document. This happens no matter what the size of the PDF is from less than 1 MB to 10+ MB. It appears to be very poorly optimized compared to other professional software titles which all run smoothly on macOS: Word, Excel, Pages, Numbers, etc. I have tried deleting the prefernce files outlined in other topics, which did nothing to alleviate the issue at all. My computer is a relatively powerful: 2016 15-inch MacBook Pro connected to an eGPU with Radeon RX 580 and an LG 4K monitor (more than enough power to edit PDFs). I am running the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and macOS Mojave and have never seen these issues alleviated by two years of updates. Given the cost of this software, I would really appreciate some help from Adobe's support team, as well as an indication that they are planning on doing s
Using Acrobat Pro This used to be in a dropdown menu under “Edit”
Is there a way to change the pop-up box with the 21 predefined colors? I would like to create my own custom colors and use my own predefined color palette for any new PDF I open.At the moment, I have not found a way to permanently change colors to something other than the 21 shown below. I know you can set a default new color, but that color isn't added to the predefined box. (and the default color method only allows to change one color, and not a whole set).
Acrobat Pro is very slowly processing in my laptop, it makes a longer time to open a file. Even simple tasks take too long I hope an update can fix this and make it faster soon.
I want to add page transitions to my pdf in Acrobat. How can I do this on a Macbook?
Hello. Would anyone here know, by any chance, how to select the type of edges (round or blunt) on the highlight tool in Adobe Acrobat Pro (it's what I'm using, v4, 64bit)? I've been looking all over the Internet for an answer to this, including tons of messages in the Adobe Community forum, but couldn't find anything satisfactory. In fact, many people say it's not possible to switch. But I disagree, and here is why: My highlighting tool had always given me blunt edges until I upgraded to the new Acrobat version (Modern Viewer), which I've been using for over a year now. In the new version, the H.L. edges became rounded, so I thought it was something related to the upgrade. I spent over a year thinking that. Cut to last week (2024-03-15) when my 5-yeard old son hit my keyboard by mistake and BAM -- the highlight tool started giving me blunt edges, right then and there. My son made the switch by mistake, and I now have highlighted excerpts showing both edges in the same documen

There is an Adobe Acrobat bug that does not allow me to use the program to scan documents using a Brother printer. I always get scanner not found so I called technical support. They said that this is a known issue, and I am tired of waiting for Adobe to fix it. Anybody else having this problem? Any ideas on how to get Adobe to fix this?
In my new experience of Adobe, my All Tools toolbar is on the left side of the screen and the Zoom in/out feature and the Rotate page features are in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. I want to be able to move these. I want the All tools back on the Right side of the screen and I want the Zoom & Rotate features back at the top of the page. Is there anyway to do this? I see how to customize the toolbar, but I don't want that small toolbar. let me know if this is possible. Pics are attached in the word document below. thanks in advance.
I use Acrobat X, have for years. Suddenly I get a pop-up when I start using a PDF that says I have too many computers using the same account. I do not. I have checked my laptop, and no other systems I own uses Acrobat X. How do I correct this?
Who thought it a good idea to change nearly everything at once? Guess what - most of us are working for a living and don't have time for hours of tutorials and having to sift through support forums to find out how to use software that has been one of the back-bones of our work-flow. As a designer working in the construction industry, along with being a skilled graphic designer, (you name the Adobe product, I have probably used it) I have found Acrobat to be an excellent, can't live without tool over the years, but this new version has hidden every bit of functionalityy that I personally need. Am I asking for help here? No. I simply don't have time to mess around while some hotshot new designer celebrates his/her/it's new internal slaps on the back for a job 'well done' at Adobe, and the team scrabble around to answer some of the complaints. To say I am dissapointed, is an understatement. Before anyone says it, there are always compla
There are many annoying features of Acrobat DC as compared to the prior versions of Acrobat. However, one of the most annoying and time consuming is the need to click "Post" at the end of each comment that you're writing. Is there a way to turn this off on a default basis and have comments saved automatically? If not, are there keyboard shortcuts that can be used to be able to select the Post button and/or close the comment box without having to manually click on the Post box and the X in the upper right to close the comment. Is this "feature" also present in the latest desktop version of Adobe? If not, is it possible to switch from Acrobat DC to the desktop version?
When the adobe extension is active in Chrome or Edge, I can’t download pdf files. In Edge, there is a Valid Certificate error even though the padlock on the page says the certificate is valid. On Chrome, it just says there is an error. All apps are updated and reinstalled. This has been going on for awhile. When I turn off the extension, the file will download and become visible as an ashx file.I will add it’s a particular site. I’ve spent quite some time changing settings to make it work but I can’t. Any ideas? Thanks
Every time I sign in to the Adobe Acrobat website, whether I’m trying to read a file I received via a link or simply entering the site without the link, it keeps restarting, reloading, and crashing.I’ve cleared the cache, tried different browsers, and used incognito mode. None of the above helped.
Hey all,I've got 20 Acrobat Pro 2020 standalone licenses. I realize this application is going EoL next month. I just got off a 90 minute call with Adobe Support, who finally told me that they've taken the activation servers offline, so my activations can no longer be reset (my keys are all used up, from Windows reinstalls to hardware failures) on these 20 licenses. What's my best course of action here? Is there a department at Adobe I can escalate to, to get this done? I can't even seem to get a response on buying a 20 seat volume license. I can't get an answer on whether or not I can upgrade these licenses to a newer version- they're hard selling subscriptions instead. Any advice would be great.

Hi, to fix certain issues with in PDFs, my work has us export the PDF file into a Postscript file before using Distiller to create a new PDF from that postscript file. One of my team ran into an issue where the new PDF file is never created, the log just says: %%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: þ± ]%%%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %% I’ve attempted to the exact same file with the same process, and succeeded. Is there some setting that we could be missing that causes it?
I am bates numbering several files and want each file to start at 001. how can I do this and does Adobe acrobat pro provide this function
I'm using the adobe-for-edge extension. When I open some PDF's in Edge, almost all of the browser window is a blank white area. Here's a screen shot of the issue:I've been unable to find any element that I can drag to increase the size of the controls and PDF content. This PDF is being sent to me via a link in an email. I can download the PDF using the Download option and open the resulting downloaded PDF file with no issues. It's just very puzzling why I can't locate any options that allow me to maximize the PDF display when the PDF is opened directly from the email link.
When I go to Esign and press the button “Specify where to sign” button it says. However Esign works when I click “More Options” above the “Specify where to sign” button is.It loads and gets stuck on 72% and say’s this error.“File could not be sent due to an error. Please check your proxy settings and try again after some time”I don’t have a proxy setup. I’ve tried uninstalling / reinstalled acrobat. Tried on a hotspot connection and that fails too. Tried a brand new computer. Installed creative cloud and adobe and get the same error.Ensured I was on the latest version 26.001.21529
