Problem in Indesign with converting text to outlines.If I convert the text to outlines, a copy remains with the original text. If you view the pdf in acrobat, you will see that the letters are also bolder. If you then edit the file, you will indeed see 2 layers with texts. Is this a bug?

Im looking for some guidance and advice. My company is small, and uses Adobe Acrobat to sign documents. Each employee has created their own e-signature in their copy of Acrobat, and use that to add their signature to documents that are PDF'd.We recently had an audit finding that the signatures are not secure as anyone can create an e-signature and there is no check that who is creating it is the person who should be signing it. This is obviously a valid point. It would be very costly to go to a third-party CA to get e-signature certificates for the company.I have researched it and it appears that I can create a custom CA for internal use, then use the CA to sign employee certificate requests, and then the employee can use that certificate to e-sign. While this would still not show valid to people outside the company, there would be a way to confirm inside the company that the signature is valid. I tried using OpenSSL to do this, but when I got to the point of adding it t

Since the new AdobeSign interface came online, I can't download PDFs that have been sent for signature and have been returned. I get a message saying the PDF can't be downloaded. I checked security settings and can't find anything that would prevent my downloading. This was not a problem before the new interface. Help!

I've been struggling with the crop effect to recreate typewruitter effect. My issue is: The crop effect applies to the full frame of the video, not just to the text frame. When applying the crop effect i aplpy it to the text frame directly. In the effects control panel i have "vector motion" and "text". Vector motion is the full video frame, text is just the text frame but when i add crop effect it cannot be dragged under the "text" it adds as a 3d seperate "layer" that when wplaced above text creates the crop effect, but it applies to the full frame and not just text. It looks like it applies to the vector motion not text.This's an issue because let's say i want to have a small text on the right side of the video frame, and for text to appear from left to right. With how it works right now there're timing dellayes and it's difficult to know when the sctual text is going to appear. Because the crop effect startes from the left side of the full frame not text farme.I'm quite new to prem

Using InDesign v17.2.1, text typed on a path becomes distorted when converted to outlines. As you'll see in the attached before/after images (overall comparison, detail of problem area), the converted text is mostly okay, but the last few words become almost illegibly small. The characters also become reoriented relative to the path ... some characters are vertical, others upside-down. I've tried changing fonts, creating new documents, and typing on paths of different shapes, but the problem persists. I was hoping that this problem would be addressed in the latest update, but it wasn't.  I'm running Windows 11 v10.0.22000, build 22000.

Hello dear community, Unfortunately I'm stuck at the moment and need your help. I have a script in which I have a layer and save the layer index of this layer and whether this is possibly in a group:var originalLayer = app.activeDocument.activeLayer; function findLayerIndex(layer, parentGroup, parentName) { for (var i = 0; i < parentGroup.length; i++) { if (parentGroup[i] === layer) { return { index: i, group: parentName }; } if (parentGroup[i].typename === "LayerSet") { var result = findLayerIndex(layer, parentGroup[i].layers, parentGroup[i].name); if (result) return result; } } return null; } // Get Doc & Layer var doc = app.activeDocument; var layers = doc.layers; var originalLayer = doc.activeLayer; // Active layer var result = findLayerIndex(originalLayer, layers, "Root"); if (result) { var layerIndex = result.index; var parentGroup = result.group; // alert("Layer-Index: "
