I'm having the same problem with all PDFs provided by our local bank. Other PDFs from other sources, past and present, seem to be fine. Yesterday, I updated 2 iMacs to Sequoia v15.3.2. On iMac #1, the PDFs are unreadable. On iMac #2, the PDFs are readable. I followed multiple suggestions to fix the problem, to no avail. Reset Fonts in Font Book (several times, with a restart after each reset) Validated all fonts Eliminated any personal fonts Uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Pro Cleaned up cache Ran a maintenance program Ran various Acrobat utilities to embed the fonts. The only success was to convert the fonts to outline. The Document Properties show Arial (embedded Subset) and a strange series of fonts named "T3Font_58, T3Font_59", etc. I was able to edit the PDF and change all of the fonts to Arial. But what a pain in the neck!

When the pdf document comes into outlook, I right click on the attachment and click quick print, then it prints and I use this same way to save this document, using save as. Before I can click save as, it is actually opening the adobe program up. Just frustrating. I don’t know how to share a screen recording, I’m sorry

Actually, that message is from the application, not the file's author. It's basically the same as the pop-up that appears.

This crashing issue still exists. I've sent multile crash reports. Happens on larger files over 100mb. The program isn't stable when you go to press the e-sign button. This needs to be addressed promptly as it is affecting my business.

There are some errors in your file. In particular the startxref value is incorrect and the xref keyword is not on a line by itself as it should be. (There may be other errors, too, but these leapt to the eye.) You should fix the PDF and try again. PS: The value entry in the ref field object is completely broken: /V <FEFF00540044002D0032002D0041002D003300310030002D00300033>ref])

Since the updated in November clearly did not fix this issue, do you have a timeframe for when it may be fixed? Are developers at least acknowledging the November patch did not work?

So despite using a fully updated version of adobe on a corporate licence, I too am having the same insane issue of overlapping text when editing a pdf. It's actually impressive and amazing that Adobe manages to perpetrate bizarre and inexplicable faults like this (like the one where numbers are rendered as symbols) and not only are users in a situation where multiple updates of the software don't solve the issue, we are trying to troubleshoot solutions as Adobe themselves can't resolve it, whilst charging our companies through thbe nose for this appalling software. It's so atrocious it's incredible, a sort of software version of Thames Water's level of management competance. I cannot wait until there is a viable alternative!

@David24315133gwa6 : I copied and pasted the specific link I used to close ALL open sessions for my own license. I worked from my initial log-on screen of my computer, opened my Brave browser, then logged into my Adobe account using only the link below. All open sessions were closed. I can only suggest you log out of Abobe account online, keep all your browser and other programs closed on your computer, THEN use the security link to close the sessions. Perhaps an Adobe employee could explain why youu are still seeing an open session if you've used their security link to close all your sessions..... @alanr22845597 In such a situation, try going to the page: https://account.adobe.com/security/ and scroll down to see active sessions. Clear them all, and then try again.

You could be right, JResk and Dov Isacs. The issue is, especially while working on mobiles, everytime a dialogue box appears asking us to choose the doftware we open with and just once or always; even accidental touching of 'always' causes the problem.

Just created an Adobe account with the ony purpose of confirming that this fix is actually working. I somewhat hoped that creating the "root" user folder would be enough, but no - I thus created the whole path, one folder after the other, finally giving Everyone the right to modify/write the last, "Cache" folder - and it worked. No more annoying debug.log files. So, thanks a lot @patrickr69834338 !

First check your default PDF viewer. Go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps, then look for the .pdf file type and ensure it is set to open with a proper PDF viewer like Adobe Acrobat Reader or Google PDF Viewer instead of a printing service. Another solution is to manually download the PDF instead of opening it directly from WhatsApp Plus. Tap and hold the file, then choose Download or Save to Files (on iPhone) and open it separately using a PDF viewer. Additionally, check if you have any third-party printing apps installed, as they might be interfering with how PDFs are opened. If necessary, disable or uninstall these apps to see if that resolves the issue. Keeping both WhatsApp and your PDF viewer updated is also important. Visit the Google Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for iPhone) to check for any available updates. Sometimes, a simple restart of your device can also help fix app conflicts

Same. M4 macOS 15.3.2 nets blank "Acrobat Licensing Application" window hang. Tried the OOBE (1 & 2) suggestions, install/reinstall, AcroClean tool, and no resolution. Hello, This is a frustrating issue, but it's not uncommon with PDFs, especially those with complex elements or markups. Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions: Possible Causes: Rendering Issues: PDFs can contain complex graphics, fonts, and layers. Sometimes, your PDF viewer (even Adobe Acrobat) might struggle to render these correctly, leading to blank content. This can be exacerbated by outdated software or graphics drivers. Layering Problems: PDFs can have layers, similar to image editing software. It's possible that the content layer is hidden or corrupted, while the markup layer remains visible. Font Issues: If the PDF uses fonts that are not embedded or that your system doesn't have, the text might not display properly. PDF Corruption: The PDF file itself might be corrupted, leading to display errors. Software Conflicts: Sometimes, other software or browser extensions can interfere with PDF rendering. PDF creation problems: The PDF could have been created in a way that is not fully compliant with PDF standards. This can cause rendering problems in many PDF viewers. Troubleshooting Steps: Update Adobe Acrobat: Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat. Updates often include bug fixes and improved rendering capabilities. Check for Graphics Driver Updates: E-ZPass New Jersey Outdated graphics drivers can cause display problems. Update your graphics drivers to the latest versions.

Hi @technology admin,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.
Are you using an IT machine? From the description, there are high chances that the updater has been disabled from the backend.
If yes, the best person to reach out to here, would be your organization's IT team, to enable the updater from the backend.
If not, you can check for the lockable setting mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/4iH7GD9.
Just to give a brief:
1. You need to get to the location: Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist
2. Locate the boolean bUpdater
3. Change the value to 1
If this does not work, please help us gather logs from your machine: https://adobe.ly/4l1gBRA. You can upload logs using this tool and share your Unique log ID with us.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards, Souvik.

Hi @Dave.Cox,
Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.
From the description, it seems like the Add-in has been removed or is corrupted which is the reason you are not able to use the same.
Would you mind trying the steps mentioned in the help article here: https://adobe.ly/4bOk0PS.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards, Souvik.

So they could force you to give Adobe access to all the information stored on your phone -- that's why. Notice when you try to save to a different location, it asks for permission to access that information and a bunch more that you can't edit. Bottom line, this is another in a long line of rent-seeking behaviors by software companies that is threatening data security, causing problems with identity theft, and going far beyond the needs or desires of the user to bolster marketing. It's a well designed trap. There are no good intentions.

The problem happens when combining Adobe Reader and FileOpen. You only need FileOpen if you have to read FileOpen protected documents, otherwise you can uninstall FileOpen and Adobe Reader should work fine. What worked for me is this: I contacted the document vendor (in my case, CIE) and complained in no uncertain words about their failure to provide the documents I bought for quite some money in a way that I can actually read them. I requested to get the documents in a non-FileOpen protected version, with e.g. watermark, labeled with my name and affiliation and date, in a pdf format that disallows editing with pdf standard compliant pdf editors like Adobe Acrobat, PDFXEdit and others. They were actually quite nice and provided this service. Maybe if many standard organizations are flooded with requests like this, they would just get rid of FileOpen protection and protect their documents with watermarks etc. Sorry, FileOpen guys.
