Adobe Premiere

Issue – I run two PC editing computer labs. In versions 25 and 26 (newest) of PP, when we click on any drop menu option (“Workspaces” drop menu on main screen, any drop menus in the Preferences section such as Audio hardware, etc.) the drop menu shows up for about one second then dissapears. Steps to reproduce – for example, go to Preferences → Audio Hardware → and click Input to reveal teh drop menu for all the inputs. You can also do this with the Workspaces dropmenu option in the upper-right  corner of PP Expected result –teh drop menu should show up and stay available until you choose an item from it Actual result – the drop menu options will show up for a half-second to one sec and dissapear before you can click anything. I am trying to modify a project done last summer on CC 2015 (I believe). My Mac is now running CC 2017. I get the message: "This project was saved from a previous version of Adobe Premiere Pro and must be converted."I allow it to convert. When PP opens the new file it is empty. In another thread I found someone suggested reopening the sequence from the project pane. However, when I go to my project pane, I see no bins and it says 0 items. Am I missing something obvious or is there more to this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!Tomojo59

Hey folks: macOS 15.7.3M4 MaxPremiere Pro v26.0.1 (and all of v25.x versions) In Premiere Pro, the Essential Graphics panel shows the thumbnails of all of my mogrts, either present in “Local Templates → Local Templates Folder” or in “Libraries →My Library” or “Stock Templates”. I can select a mogrt and place it on my timeline with no issue. However, typing *any* terms in the search bar yield “no matching search results”. Workarounds tried:Searching for an exact mogrt namesor even just a letter or two - no matching results. Any combination of toggling Local Templates/Libraries on/off. Deleting all media cache(s), including recently used and all (requiring restart). Restarting Premeire Pro with SHIFT key down, and checking all of the boxes (clear media cache, reset app prefs, 3rd party plugin cache, one time disable, etc.) The “half” trick: Starting Premiere Pro with half of the mogrts removed form the Motion Graphics Templates folder, restaring Premiere Pro, then searching. I am having trouble getting Motion Array MediaCore .prm files to link with Premiere Pro. I use an installer (MAPluginsInstaller) to link these, which creates a folder with this path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore After rebooting Premiere, I can’t find these .prm files which should appear in the “Effects” panel. The thing that perplexes me is that I’ve been running these files for years and I’ve linked them many times using this method. Recently, I did a factory reset on my PC and now I can’t get them to link. I have tried getting them to link with the newest version of Premiere and they also don’t link there. I’m currently running Premiere Pro version 23.5. Has anyone ran into this issue before?

Hey everyone,Audio / VoiceOver noob here looking for guidance on the most reliable, highest-quality workflow.I’m trying to record VO in Premiere Pro on a Mac using a DJI Mic 2, and I’m seeing some behavior I don’t fully understand. What’s happening I connect the DJI Mic 2 to macOS via Bluetooth In System Settings → Sound: Input → DJI Mic 2 Output → AirPods (also tried MacBook speakers)   In this configuration, all VO record buttons in Premiere are grayed out.However:If I set both input and output to the DJI Mic 2, the record buttons immediately become available and VO works (it records straight to the timeline as expected).The obvious downside is I can’t properly monitor playback unless I listen through the DJI. Sample rate observationWhen VO works over Bluetooth, the recorded files show 16,000 Hz in Premiere.But audio recorded internally on the DJI and later imported is 48,000 Hz.Is this simply a Bluetooth bandwidth limitation, or is there any way to get 48 kHz while record

Hi,I'm unable to use AMD gpu in premier pro, though I have selected OpenCL and hardware encoding yet the video playback(at 1/8 for 1080p) lags like hell and exporting also takes lot of time, when I check in the task manager the gpu utilization is at 0% and max at 1%.Does anyone know how to fix the issue.Thank you Details:-Premiere Pro V14 (2020)Pc- Ideapad 50015ISKOS-Windows11 21H2Ram-16gbStorage- SSD 500gbProcessor- Intel i7 6th genGPU-AMD R7 M360 4gb

Hi.I edit on a Macbook Pro M1 Max full specs. Clips are stored on a fast external Tb3 nvme disk.In Premiere 26, scrubbing through H264 High 422 10bits 4K files is not smooth at all, skips a lot of frames. Put a MOGRT above or speed ramp a clip, and I need to render it if I want to play it in real time.I did a test on Resolve and it’s smooth as butter, just like I’d expect from my machine.Is this a Premiere thing, being a little “behind” ? Or is there something I can do to improve the speed of decoding?Thanks in advance.Cheers.Max

Video Transition Handles is a new feature in Premiere 26. Great if that’s your style but I’m doing hard cuts 99% of the time. The icons keep getting in the way of dragging the clip as well as extending or trimming the clip. Looking for a way to turn it off. 

Premiere 2026 is freezing each time I make changes: an effect, the size, add text - everything! The Play button is freezing too. The changes are not visible after rendering. And not I'm not able to use an earlier version to finish the project.

Hi,I have a radio event filmed on camera plus the radio station’s audio file of the same, and the timing is slightly different. If I sync up at one point it’s not long before one track outpaces the other.How to coordinate precisely?DC

I attempted to post this to questions, but apparently it should be a bug report? The community expert told me I posted in the wrong forum, but didn’t tell me where it belongs.At any rate, I have a gazillion extra preset copies in my essential sounds panel. I haven’t the foggiest idea how they got there. I can delete them one by one, but it would literally take me the whole day.  How can I resolve this on the finder level?  

When I double-click a clip in the timeline to open it in the Source Monitor, it does not show the frame where the timeline playhead is positioned. Instead, it opens the correct master clip but displays a different frame — often from another section of the same video (for example, a neighboring cut I made earlier or completely different part of the video nowhere near the playhead).If I immediately double-click the same timeline clip again, the Source Monitor then updates to the correct frame that matches the playhead position.This behavior is consistent and reproducible. The timeline clips are all from the same source file, just cut and edited with the Razor tool. Premiere v26.0.1, but has also occured in previous versions just as consistently.Link to video: 

In Premiere 26.0.1, when I create guides in the program monitor, they work fine. But when I switch to full screen, the guides are present but they are not correct.  See attached.  Running Premiere 26.0.1 on a 2025 Mac Studio running Sequoia 15.7.4 

Use the template below to provide us with information: Issue – When I make a change to something that was previously rendered and replaced, it overwrites the previouss render rather than increasing the filename number as it used to do.  Steps to reproduce – Render and replace a comp, restore unrendered, and render and replace again. Premiere gives “cannot find frame” errors until you close and open Premiere again.  Expected result – The file names of the renders should increase. 002, 003, 004 etc.  Actual result – Its overwriting the same file ending in _Rendered.mov Adobe Premiere Pro version – 26.0.1 Build 3 Operating system – macOS Tahoe 26.2 Affects all projects.

ISSUE:Text-based editing transcript selection stopped translating to timeline selection in Premiere Pro 26.0.1 (Build 3). This breaks all manual editing operations from the transcript panel.SYMPTOMS:- Selecting text in transcript does NOT create corresponding selection on timeline (used to work in 25.x)- Right-click "Ripple Delete" on selected transcript text moves playhead but does not delete clips- Keyboard shortcut (⌘⌦) for ripple delete also fails when transcript text is selected- "Ripple Delete" option is greyed out in Edit menu when transcript text is selectedWHAT STILL WORKS:- Automated "Delete All Pauses" button works correctly- Manual timeline editing works and updates transcript correctly- Transcript playback scrubbing and sync works- Timeline → Transcript direction works (one-way only)REPRODUCTION:1. Workspace setting changes every time I export a videoEvery time I export a video, one of the panels disappear and I have to choose a different workspace, then choose another one in order for the panel to reappear. It's been going on for months, even after updates.

In the latest version, I'm trying to use the Mosaic effect to cover faces in video. Previously, when you selected the Mosaic option in an Adjustment Layer, it gave you the option to create shapes and resize and rotate them as needed. Now, in both the new Mosaic effect and the Mosaic Legacy effect, the option to create shapes or masks has disappeared.

Why do I get such crummy playback in Premiere? Do I have something set up wrong?My computer struggled to do basic playback in Premiere so, when I built my next system, I looked for specs that should have allowed smooth 4K editing. But playback was still ****.Figured it was my fault so, this time, I decided to let someone else build it.I just purchased a workstation from Puget Systems.Intel Core Ultra 9 285K 3.7GHz 24 Core 36MB 125W 96GB  Kingston DDR5-5600 MSI GeForce RTX 5080 INSPIRE 3X OC 16GB Windows 11And … it struggles on playback. I have three tracks:1920*1080 MOV file exported from Animate. A single voice over track (.WAV or .MP3) A single music track (.WAV)I’m playing back in a tiny little window (30%) and half resolution. Playback stutters. Sound frequently drops out altogether.Do I have something set up wrong? How does this problem persist no matter how much RAM and horsepower I throw at it?Thanks for any insights. 

Is it possible to make dubbing video in Premiere Pro?  

I downloaded Premiere 26. I clicked on the new AI masking tool on the toolbar, hovered over my program window but nothing happens. The masking tool tracks fine with the circle tool, but does nothing with the smart object ai mask tool. Things I tried:-made sure I was on mercury playback-reset my window workspace several times and into different configurations-tried different footage (iPhone, DSLR canon 90d)-tried opening a new project Nothing has seemed to work. I only have access to tracking through the new shape tools. Really wish the smart object select tool would work so I can select a person.
