I’m experiencing an audio channel bug in Adobe Premiere Pro, and the same issue also occurs in the Premiere Pro Beta version.Issue:When I import a downloaded clip from the Project Panel into an existing sequence, audio only plays from one side/channel. However, when I create a new sequence using the exact same clip, audio works correctly on both sides. What I checked: The source clip is not corrupted Audio works properly outside Premiere Pro Audio hardware settings are correct Channel mapping and sequence settings were checked No export/download issue Speakers/headphones are functioning correctly Observation:The issue only happens in certain existing sequences. Creating a fresh sequence from the same clip temporarily fixes the problem, which suggests a possible sequence audio mapping or internal software bug rather than a media or hardware issue.Additional Information: The same behavior is also present in the Premiere Pro Beta version This suggests the issue may be related t
PC Standby & Hibernation disabling Premiere: If I put my Win11 PC into standby with version 26.2.2 ongoing, when I wake the PC my type tool is accessible but incapable of any editing or fresh typing. When the PC has gone into Hibernation, Premiere is even more troubled; I can access the menus and save, but the timeline won't play or even change the preview frame when I move the timeline point. No full crash with error report, just gone into limbo.
This is getting frustrating and disappointing. Three updates for Premiere Pro have come out, and I can't enjoy any of them because when I select a panel, an extension, or simply make cuts, Premiere Pro freezes. The stupidest part is that to unfreeze it, I have to click many times until the force close window appears; I click "Cancel," and magically Premiere Pro starts working again... until I click on another section and it freezes once more. I am on version 26.0.1; this didn't use to happen. I can't update to any version above 26.0.1, and it's not like my PC is low-performance, the problem is Premiere Pro. I already tried resetting my entire PC and doing a completely clean install of Premiere Pro, but the issue persists.
In Premiere Pro 26.0.0, several dropdown-menus are occassionally empty. Here’s a recording of the Project manager:The Dropdown-menu only populates when pressing Ctrl+Shift+Win+B to reset the Graphics driver. The populated menu only lasts for one click, then it is empty again. Empty dropdowns are found all across Premiere, Effects Panel, Options, everywhere. -------------------------------------------------------------------Windows 11 25H2, Build 26200.7462Nividia RTX 4090, Studio Driver 591.74Single 4K MonitorAMD Threadripper 3970X, 128 GB RAMPremiere Pro 26.0.0
I'm having a problem with the Object Mask tool in Premiere Pro 2026. After selecting the object, I click to start tracking, but the tool keeps loading forever and never finishes. I've already tried clearing the cache, restarting the program, and restarting the computer, but nothing worked. I suspect there was a problem with the most recent update.

Premiere began to block the audio waveforms/sound bar entering the sequence. I can place two clips with audio just fine and then every clip after does not have it’s linked audio appear in the sequence nor do clips in the project panel have their audio highlighted blue, though it plays the sound there. Another issue going along with this is Premiere becomes very over worked/sluggish and unresponsive when accessing the menus. I’m not sure if I’m explaining this properly, so I did a screen recording, which is attached.
On MacOS, you can normally navigate through text one word at a time by holding option and pressing the left and right arrow keys. This functionality is broken in the latest version of Premiere Pro (25.4). It still works fine in all other apps, and it worked in all previous versions of PP, so this is definitely an issue with the latest version of PP. For example, when editing the name of a sequence, I can't jump between words by holding option and pressing the left and right arrow keys. Edit 1: This only seems to affect the Project panel and bins. I can use Option + Arrow keys in other areas of PP, such as transcripts in the Text panel.
Using the latest Premiere pro (V26.2.2). Just created a simple logo animation in AE and exported it with Quicktime (.mov) using ProRes 4444 with an alpha channel (RGB + Alpha). When I import the file into Premiere Pro, I instantly get a ton of red error messages that say ‘Error retrieving frame’ and then it lists a bunch of frame numbers and mentions the clip I imported.I’m working on a commercial for a large client with a tight deadline. I’ve never experienced this before. Been working in Premiere and AE using this workflow for 15+ years.I also tried the animation codec with Alpha and got the same error.I don’t have time to troubleshoot Premiere bugs.
Hello! The audio panel "audio track mixer" is not working after the premiere pro update. Build147. There is simply no information in the audio track settings window. I can't apply any effect to the audio track, just because the window is empty.
When adding a dip to black on a sequence , the footage is very laggy as it scrolls through the dip to black. Ince this has passed all footage is fine again … tested on multiple devices and same issue occurred. This has happened since latest version release
Hi,I’m having an issue with Premiere Pro and After Effects when using Dynamic Link. My system: MacBook Pro, Apple M3 Max, 36 GB RAMmacOS 26.3.1Adobe Premiere Pro 2026 v26.2.2, build 26.2.2.3Adobe After Effects 2026 v26.2.1, build 26.2.1.2The problem happens when I select clips in Premiere Pro and choose “Replace with After Effects Composition.” Instead of opening/creating the After Effects composition correctly, I get this error message: “Replace with After Effects CompositionThe importer reported a generic error.”
Out of nowhere my clip became black. It’s still showing the preview in the timeline, but the source clip in the bin, in the source monitor and the playback monitor are all pitch black. I have tried relinking the clip, adding effects, removing effects, and nothing works.
I’m trying to understand what happened. For the last week my Premiere 26.2 won’t quit or close. How it happens:I work on projects (any) At a certain moment I want to close Premiere, so I save it with Ctrl+S and click the close application button in the upper right-hand corner of its window. Nothing happensI left it for an hour and it won’t close even then. The only way to close Premiere now is to click the application several times to make it blank and “Application does not respond” or close its process. The worst thing - I have no idea what happened. I didn’t install any other programs as of late, I did not change any preferences anywhere. And it happens with all projects, be them new or old, or even empty. What is even stranger - After Effects does the same!My troubleshooting includes:resetting Pr and AE preferences turning off all third-party plugins purging cache restarting, trying the safe modeNothing helps. Before the next step - uninstalling ALL third-party plugins and then the

After changing a sequence's resolution (via Sequence Settings), using **Motion** direct manipulation in the Program Monitor causes every type of element — video clips, images, text, graphics, anything — to move much faster than the mouse cursor when dragged. This is NOT limited to nested sequences. It happens with all clip types equally. The root cause appears to be that Position coordinates remain calculated in the **original sequence coordinate space**, while the Program Monitor canvas now reflects the **new resolution**. This creates a mismatch ratio between mouse movement and actual element displacement.
The following Object mask issues make its use rather complicated:Object Mask + timeremapping: when used together without nesting, the mask is tracked at a normal speed, lagging behind or going further from the tracked object:Applying the object mask and THEN timeremapping brings a visual glitch during the remapped part: This visual glitch remains even if after the timeremapping you nest it and then track and apply the mask. RateStretch + render and replace - object moves inside the cutout, though without rendering the mask is perfect: Reversed time and object mask freezes the mask when rendered and replaced: Transform + Object mask - object moves inside the cutout (I don’t need to mention that motion blur is available only in the Transform effect). Only nesting helps but in some cases to apply certain effects you have to nest the nest inside the nest which totally ruins the workflow: The same happens with any other transform effect. But at the same time transitions work alright, affect
The new mask feature’s keyframing functionality is broken. Sometimes, changing the position value and adding a keyframe doesn’t animate the mask. It just moves it for the entire clip duration.I can’t reproduce when it does or doesn’t work.
Hey everyone!I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out because it’s absolutely killing me.Up until recently, I’ve always been able to hold down the Shift key while clicking and dragging a track's edge in the timeline header to dynamically resize all video or audio tracks at once.Ever since updating my Mac to Tahoe, this has completely stopped working in both Premiere 26.2 and the 26.5 Beta. As you can see in the video I attached: I hover over the track edge until I get the vertical adjustment cursor. I hold down Shift and drag. Instead of moving all the audio tracks together, it completely ignores the Shift modifier and only resizes that one single track. My System Specs: Machine: MacBook Pro 16-Inch (Nov 2023) Chip: Apple M3 Max OS: macOS Tahoe 26.5 Premiere Versions tested: 26.2 and 26.5 Beta What I have already tried that didn't work: Resetting Premiere's UI preferences and workspaces completely. Toggling Mac Accessibility permissions off and back on for Premiere Pr
I imported shots with double-system audio recorded 32-bit float having jammed an FX6 from a MixPre6ii. I can sync camera (with guide track) and audio clips in the timeline via TC with no problem. Here's the oddity: Suddenly the TC overlay in the Program window displays incorrect TC for only the audio clips (up to a minute off), but PPro seems to read the proper TC because I can still sync clips using TC in the timeline. Also, I had TC properly displayed in a couple of timelines, but when I went to another timeline and then back to the timelines that had correctly displayed the TC, they now also displayed incorrect TC, i.e. the display went bad in seconds. I had correct TC displayed in these timelines for weeks until this anomaly occurred. I know because I did a test shot shooting the display of the MixPre, which displayed the same TC as the PPro Program overlay. I uninstalled and reinstalled PPro: same problem. On another computer: same p
As title says when you have multi-cam view open any time you execute a ripple delete, where the playhead would follow the delete to the edit point, it instead just sits in place at the same timestamp, leaving you at some useless point randomly in the footage ahead. A big workflow thorn when in multi-cam. Easy to replicate, create mcam, enter into view, and then try to ripple a clip section with your playhead in the middle of the clip. It will stay in. place when it should snap left to the rippled edit point as usual for continuitySee attached screencap for extremely clear demo of issue.,25.3 Mac
I’ve had this bug since 26.2 and thought it would be fixed in v. 26.2.2 but it wasn’t. I have a huge project with several K media clips in different formats, mainly mxf, mp4 and mov. They all were given to me by a TV company, so they now how to shoot, trasncode and do other stuff with videos. The problem is that after I had imported all the videos I was to work with into the project, Premiere started to generate peaks to all of them and for several files it failed to do that. Now every time I launch this project Premiere does this:The process of generating peaks never starts, always hanging on that 0%. You cannot cancel it. And I would never pay attention to it if my CPU wasn’t roaring:Premiere certainly does - or rather tries to do - something but it never starts and never finishes. Yes certainly I can try and transcode these two MXFs to something else and it will solve the problem, this is not what I need help with. The problem is that YOU CANNOT CANCEL this process.
