Hello,I’m using Premiere v 26.2. I am attempting to use the Object Mask Tool to track a moving subject and alter the background behind them. The tool itself works correctly, selecting the subject cleanly and creating a single frame mask that works as expected. However, when I select any of the tracking options, it moves through frame by frame and creates keyframes, but the subject is no longer outlined in the dotted line or the green color (in this instance). After the fact, the mask appears to encompass the entire frame, not just the subject. For example, selecting “change to opacity mask” or moving the mask to the Opacity setting in Effect Controls turns the entire screen black. Adjusting opacity adjusts the visibility of the entire screen. Using the same selection when just one frame is masked, however, works as intended with the subject on a black background. Inverting the single frame version works as it should, but not when tracking has been used.  

As the title states. This morning after updating I was simply trying to cut a video file over top to stay at it’s preferred frame. Once I cut the layer at the preferred point I right clicked to Add Frame Hold, yet no matter what I did the frame would not hold. It would either create another cut and not frame hold, or it would do nothing and not frame hold. Other users in the past recommended right clicking and Clicking Ok once you click on Hold Frame Options, but that did not work as intended either. Obviously an easy work around is to just take a snapshot of the preferred layer at the preferred time and reimport it, but the frame hold saves me several clicks and is easier for project hand off.  

I applied the “Stroke” effect to some still images to add a white border. Then I added scale keyframes to make the image move. Looks great in the timeline, but when I export, the still images (and sometimes the images beneath them) are a drastically different scale, so they get knocked outside the frame.From reading similar bug reports, it’s possible this has something to do with GPU acceleration? Unfortunately I’m on a Mac Studio M1 Max, so it doesn’t look like I can disable GPU acceleration.  Edit: Gaussian Blur effect is causing the same problem. Workaround is to reset all Motion effects (Position, Scale) and recreate those effects using the Transform effect instead. This fixed the problem.

Using version 26.2.2 (Build3) - but also happened on previous version.This is a nightmare issue - I’ve opened up a project I was working on the day before and the sequence of clips cuts have reset to different time codes or to the start of the clip itself. For instances where that timecode doesn’t exist, I have clips that can’t be salvaged. I can remove the cut and bring back the right timecode in places. The attached image might explain. I found some people mention this might happen if you move your clips from a folder to somewhere else but they haven’t moved at all. The rushes file names are all named differently, in their own folders for CAM1 / 2 / 3 etc and Audio tracks are in their own folder too.I managed to fix this happening with audio by renaming ALL audio clips with a new suffix and then swapping them out individually in the project - this took ages and I don’t really want to do this with the video clips.It does seem isolated to this one project, I’ve saved an XML as a backup

When having my more or less complicated project with added,footage sfx,some adjustment layers etc - going to export tab is impossible it loads sometimes if i am lucky most of the time i have to export trough media encoder 99% actually.I noticed it happens when i have a fairly big, normally finished project

Hi.The new Film Impact FX and Transitions are great. But I have an issue with the Dip To Black transition.By default, it is not 100% black at the middle of the transition. In order to have a dip to full black, I need to tweak the Transition Timing “end” parameter to 97%.Can someone try and replicate this issue?Many thanks!MaxPremiere Pro 26.2.2Macbook Pro M1 Max / Sequoia 15.7.7 

In the latest (26.3) version of Premiere, when I'm editing text boxes that use key frames, when I click on one text box, it'll change the other's text settings (font, size, etc) to match the one I just clicked. I constantly have to change that initial text box's font settings every time I type, after clicking on the other. 

After transcribibng captions are not creating

We are seeing some issues with keyboard shortcuts not working in CEP panels in Premiere 25.4 (and 25.4.1) on Mac. It works on older versions e.g. 25.3.For example, the usual copy-paste shortcuts like Command-C and Command-V do not work anymore in any text field used in a CEP panel. Command-X still works for cutting, it seems. If a sequence is open, the left/right arrow keys do not work anymore in any text field in a CEP panel. They seem to be captured by the sequence window and result in frame stepping. This makes it quite difficult for regular users of CEP panels who are used to those keys.Easily reproducible by installing a CEP panel like Vimeo from the Creative Cloud app.   Version info:Premiere 25.4, Premiere 25.4.1 (Build 3)Macbook ProApple M4Sequoia 15.5 

We made the mistake of installing and using the Beta version to try out new features.  Everything was fine for a few days, then we found rendering issues and other feature missing like Auto Colour, and then we noticed that Creative Cloud screen was just white space.  To try and resolve this we elected to uninstall the beta verison and all of the Creative Cloud related Apps and the original version of premier pro.When we reinstalled premier pro we find that it installs everything else but will not install the actual Premier Pro App at all which now means we can not opne access or edit any of the Premier Pro files. Really stuck with this as we have tried multiple times with uninstall and re-install with the same result.For the cost of the Monthly Subscription for these apps this really is not good enough. Does anyone else have any experience with thsi issue or have any suggestions?  Right now Final Cut is looking really attractive 😕

I'm LOVING the enhanced speech feature in Premiere Pro 2024. However, I've run into an issue where, after enhancing the audio from one of my clips, if I make a cut anywhere on that clip (splitting the audio into two separate clips), both of the clips restart the enhanced speech queue. 1. Enhance the speech of a clip2. Cut the clip3. Both parts of the clip restart enhance speech The only way around this is to enhance the speech of the entire sequence and then to nest the clips before cutting (or to enhance the clips after making all necessary edits).  

Every time I open Premiere Pro, immediately after the splash screen shows up I get a screen that says an error occured.I have already sent the crash report to Adobe, but I'm not sure how long it is supposed to take. I think it has been a week now since this started happening.I have tried deinstalling and installing again, also with older versions. I noticed the same happens for Media Encoder, but not for Photoshop. Since this is on my work laptop, I have also had our IT services take a look and they tried several things but no luck so far.Any ideas on what the issue could be? 

Hello everyone. I am experiencing an extremely odd error in Premiere that I've never encountered before and can't find any exact reference to. Essentially, the Export page is completely broken and nonfunctional. Initially the error presented itself as bening unable to access the export tab at all. I would click it, the button would highlight but nothing else would happen. I woulc becomeunable in interact with the Import/Edit/Export tab at all after that, but could seem to still edit just fine. I was able to solve this issue by selecting my timeline footage first, which then allowed me to click through to the export tab. I've never had to do this before today.However this ended up not being the extent of the issue. Once I actually reach the export tab, there are a brief few seconds where everything works fine, and then the page appears to freeze. I can no longer interact with any of the settings/buttons except for the file name, and pressing export does nothing. What makes thi

Here’s an outline of the issues are editors are experiencing: When utilizing Premiere Pro 2025 & 2026, our editors are unable to switch caption text to Pop-On. In earlier versions of the Premiere - when changes are applied to captions (for both a single caption line and multiple lines) in the Essential Graphics panel the caption type reverts to Paint-On. These aaption modifications are no longer sticking.  The text panel is allowing changes to be made in the essential graphics panel but as soon as you playback the video and/or click anything in your project or timeline, the captions are revert to Paint-On.  Our caption standard is Pop-On captions.Part of an editor’s job is fine-tuning captions, and this bug slows down this workflow significantly.  There needs to be a resolution to this issue because Premiere 2025 and 2026 cause major slowdowns in output. There is no workaround currently that is more efficient than working with old versions of Premiere Pro, and this is not a sustain

Hi,I have a base audio file and a video file. The audio file is completely fine and when manually comparing with the video file outside Premiere, everything is fine and synched.But when I upload it to the timeline, for whatever reason, the audio is looped. As in, midway, it will loops back to the beginning within the same audio track, which is completely weird and abnormal.Any help?

[Moderator: updated subject line for clarity]   I’m experiencing an issue when using Canon Cinema RAW Lite footage from the EOS C50 on my MacBook Pro M4 Pro running macOS Sequoia. Playback in Premiere Pro 25.6.x works correctly, but when pausing the timeline, some frames display black or magenta bars on teh bottom of the actual frame.  System Details: Mac: MacBook Pro M4 Pro - Sequoia (latest build) Premiere Pro: 25.6.3 (Build 2) Canon Camera: EOS C50 Cinema RAW Lite (.CRM) GPU Acceleration: Metal 3 (20-core GPU) [have tried other settings too] RAM: 48 GB, Storage: 512 GB SSD System Firmware Ver: 13822.41.1  OS Loader Ver: 11881.140.96 Additional Notes:  Occurs only with Canon RAW Lite from EOS C50. When I open any project in my default dual display workspace, playback and drag and drop in the timeline are frozen.  This workspace was working fine until the latest update.  I did my own troubleshooting to discover that the issue was related to workspaces.  My fix is to load the default edit workspace then reload my dual workspace.  This fixes the issue and everything works normally.  I believe this is a bug because my workspace works normally after reloading and had worked for months before the playback/drag and drop freezing started.

Select a clip and enable direct manipulation by clicking on it. Guides will only appear for the duration of the selected clip. (ver. 26.2.2)

Not 100% sure this is a bug, but it seems the behaviour of bezier keyframes has changed. Before Premiere 26.0, if I created a “position” keyframe and applied ease in and out bezier curves, the new keyframes created within that clip would also have ease in and out curves. It doesn’t do that anymore, a new keyframe seems to default to a bezier but not ease in and out. This is problematic as I have presets saved with pre-existing keyframes set to ease in and out, and I apply them to hundreds of clips within a session. Now I have to manually add the ease in and out curves to any new position keyframes within those clips. Here's a video of the process. You can see me dragging the picture on the program panel to create a new position keyframe. Whilst the mouse cursor is pressed, you can see some sort of ease in and out bezier curve in effect under effect controls. As soon as I release the mouse button, it snaps into a weird and harsh curve. I then have to manually add ease in and out curves

I’m working of a project of a documentary which contains a lot of music in the background. The music itself is to gradually get lower once the voiceover is in and rise when it finishes. I made a lot of such projects in thew past and never had any problems with ducking but now in Pr 26.2.2 it feels like the Ducking feature is broken because with the same settings I’ve worked with for a decade, it makes music rise up in the volume when the speaker is still speaking their part.Here’s an illustration:The upper track is the voiceover. It’s a studio record, so it’s crystal clear and perfect in volume. The lower track is the ducked music. You can see it begins alright with a higher volume and then just jumps back and forth over the voiceover.These are my settings:These settings have worked for me for years now they don’t. When i am playing back certain video clips in my project, the audio is not playing the correct video file. It is using a different one entirely. Oddly enough, when I restart PP, (latest update as of June 2026) some of the disrupted clips are playing its normal audio, and a different clip that was fine before, now plays a different audio clip. This has been an issue for me for years now, and seems to be no fix. I use a pretty old camera as of today's standards, but it never gave me this issue before. Using a Panasonic AVCHD camera if that helps.

In Version 26.2.2 (Build 3) ,previously i have the special Bezier curve in transform effect that visible in Program panel , after updated new version , i see many bug others not affect me , but the transform special brazier curve more important  for animation stuff , previously it show the keyframe dot  and the frame wise path how it animated ,  but now it show nothing that mean i unable to control the animation path in transform effect its core feature many editor used so as soon as possible fix this issue
