During playback, the Program Monitor plays normally, but the Timeline UI freezes. While the sequence is playing:- The playhead in the timeline does not move- The timeline does not scroll- Clicking clips or the timeline has no immediate response- Inputs seem to be queued and are only applied after playback is stoppedIf I press the tilde (~) key to make the timeline fullscreen, the issue disappears and the timeline updates correctly in real time. The problem only occurs when the timeline panel is docked.1. Open Premiere Pro 25.x2. Open any project (including a new empty project)3. Use the default docked timeline layout4. Press Spacebar to start playback5. Observe that the Program Monitor plays normally, but the timeline UI freezes6. Stop playback – the playhead suddenly updates and queued inputs apply7. Press tilde (~) to fullscreen the timeline – the issue no longer occurs- The timeline previously worked normally in the same environment- The issue started suddenly without any Premiere Pro
I just created a new project and when I loaded the video into the sequence it is showing a pink/light red screen in the viewer (Program). I have cleared Cache, checked all my settings etc. When I open Lumetri is shows a normal screen and when I export the video is also normal. Any bugs reported on this? PremierePro updated today and is running on v.26.
Hi there, I have a long time bug that has existed over several versions of premiere. This has been posted before by other users, but not for a couple of years so thought it worth starting a new post. The issue is that the mouse sticks, usually when selecting a timeline. So, for example, i may have four timelines open within the same pane. Only timeline tabs are in that pane. I will click a timeline. I will then click in, say, the effects tab which I keep in a pane with the effects control tab and the source montior tab. But what happens is that the mouse has 'stuck' so it thinks i have dragged a timeline to the same pane as the effects tab. So i then have one pane with three timelines in it, and another pane with effects, effect controls, source monitor and the timeline that i had clicked on earlier. A quick search has revealed others have the same (or very similar) issues: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/sticky-and-jumpy-playhead/m-p/1
Another day - another bug. This is what I started to see when trying to render and replace an AE comp inside Premiere Pro to something with an alpha channel because I need transparency: Now imagine a Pr sequence with as many AE comps in it as this (the rose ones):Imagine how insanely slow the timeline is. And you cannot render and replace the comps. Pre-caching is not an option because I trim the comps, I move them, I apply transitions to them and everytime the cache resets. And you cannot render and replace nests. Not at all, sir. Steps to reproduce - make a complicated project with dozens of AE comps (made via Dynamic link of course). Try to render and replace them with a codec that supports an alpha channel. Profit. A disgrace board below (I'm not mentioning the Film Impact problem...): Again, in Davinci Resolve, that apparently have better programmers, you can render and replace just anything. How can that be that a small australian company nailed it and the dear big fat Adobe can
I'm not sure if it's by design or a bug, but since it brings certain problems during Pr>Ae>Pr workflow I'd consider it a bug. The bug: an inconsistency between time stretching in Premiere Pro and After Effects when using Dynamic link workflow. What happens: when you stretch a clip via the Rate stretch tool or using the Speed\\Duration context menu and then send it to After Effects, there the stretching becomes completely different.Steps to reproduce: - Place a clip in the timeline. Define a reference timestamp and put a marker on the clip there. Mine is at 00:00:54:21 where there's a scene change in the video, so I can easily identify if anything is wrong. Choose an easyly identifiable part of the video, like a part of a scene change. Also put a marker on the timeline in this part to see how far the markers are from each other when you stretch the clip.- Slow down the video with a Ctrl+R command, say, up to 15% Now the markers are at a long distance from each other. Note that the
Premiere Version : 25.6.2I noticed this issue in a previous beta version as well. But with the latest update, the snap function doesn't seem to work. The snap button is on. Also while dragging clips to the timeline, the clip body is invisible. Please check this video(Title updated for clarity by moderator)
After the 25.6 update, the "Toggle Direct Manipulation" tool (Transform) disables itself after moving forward 2 clips. My previous workflow was to select the program window, engage "Toggle Direct Manipulation" via a shortcut, then use the mouse to drag on the screen and reframe each individual clip. I'd then move forward and back between clips and between the first/last clip frames using keyboard shortcuts. From version 25.6 onwards I have to re-engage "Toggle Direct Manipulation" every time I move between 2 or 3 clips. Up to version 25.5, "Toggle Direct Manipulation" would remain engaged until I manually disengaged it. By trial and error I've found that if I lock the clip's audio track, the behaviour of the tool works as expected. I've now gone back to version 25.5 and the behaviour of the tool is back to normal. I'm on a M4 Pro Mac running Sequoia 15.7.3
As I recently reported here on the forum, I bought a new video card, the RTX 5060 Ti. I was having problems with crashes and black screens during export, which was resolved with the new Nvidia driver from January 5th. However, I hadn't checked its performance in the Windows Task Manager. Today, while editing a video of just over 10 minutes in Full HD, I decided to open the Task Manager to check its performance. I saw that it was being used between 19% and 22%, and the processor was under higher load, sometimes reaching 100%. The usage between CPU and GPU should be balanced. The low video card usage is extremely frustrating. I am waiting for an Adobe moderator to tell me something. I respect the export process, which took 12 minutes to complete, and the video card usage varied between 19% and 22%. Below are some screenshots of how I configured the video card after installation. Remember that the old driver was uninstalled using DDU, resulting in a completely clean installation, followin
Premiere v 25.6.4MacOS Ventura 13.7.8 When opening a Team Project, timeline or source clips won't play from keyboard or window play buttons. Media is all loaded.I've found the solution is to change my Workspace from a User one to one of the default, everything plays. When I go back to a user workspace everything plays fine as well.
Imported a sequence into a project, then when i went to relink files, the window popped up but was blank, couldnt see any files at all. (see mock up photo, couldnt replicate it on my machine, but the issue happened on a different computer) Restarting prem helped for one file but then happened again with the next file. Using latest prem 2025, Apple mac studio M2 Tahoe os.
Premiere has been plagued with audio dropout issues since upgrading to 25.5 and still occur in 25.6 and the latest update 25.6.4. I have been rolling back to 25.2.3 where the issue does not exist. The problem that occurs - During playback on the timeline, any time the audio becomes slightly more involved (i.e. audio from more than one track at a time) the audio will just drop out one or more of the tracks, in the middle of playback. It is seemingly random when it occurs. It makes basic editing practically unusable. I am working only with ProRes files and WAV files for audio. Often the audio that is stacked is directly from the ProRes files. There is nothing sophisticated happening, no plugins or any audio effects running on these audio clips. Sometimes I will have a Multiband compressor on a specific track, that is about it. To reiterate, the exact same projects will playback normally on 25.2.3. Every version since has been plagu
Danke
Bug Report – Adobe Premiere ProSubject: Audio waveform display is inconsistent and unreliable depending on timeline zoom levelIssue descriptionFor more than one year, I have been experiencing a recurring issue in Adobe Premiere Pro related to audio waveform visualization in the timeline. At certain zoom levels (especially when zoomed out), the audio waveform appears partially missing or visually flattened, as if there were no audio data in those sections. When zooming in, the correct waveform immediately reappears, confirming that the audio was always present and that this is a visual rendering issue, not missing media. This behavior makes waveform-based editing unreliable and misleading, especially in professional workflows that depend on accurate audio visualization (dialogue editing, music, rhythm-based cuts).Expected behaviorAudio waveforms should accurately represent the audio content at all zoom levels.Zooming in or out should only change detail resolution, not cause waveform sectio

When the crash/freeze happens i'm unable to re-launch Premiere Pro.Currently i've trying using a Singel stick o
Hi everyone, I’m currently editing wedding videos in Premiere Pro 2025, and I noticed something that feels a bit unusual, so I’d like to ask if this is normal behavior. My workflow usually involves a lot of cuts on Video Track 1 (around 100–200 cut-to-cut clips from the wedding footage). Playback and rendering are totally fine, no major issues there. However, the problem appears when I import and place a new asset (PNG image or even another video) on Video Track 2, 3, or 4. When I try to drag or trim that clip (especially dragging it to the left, over areas where Track 1 is very dense), the timeline interaction becomes very laggy and heavy.Interestingly: - The same clips are completely smooth on Video Track 1- If I delete or reduce some of the wedding clips on Track 1, the lag becomes much less noticeable- Playback and export remain fast and stable; the issue is mainly during timeline interaction (dragging/moving clips) This made me wonder:Is this expected beha
I use transcript to remove pauses which has made my job faster, but recent updates tends to cut out parts of the sentence. I can't rely on this feature anymore.

It's all in the title, I can move clips (audio, video, adjustment layers...) in the timeline but can't see where I'm placing them in real time. It's been going on for weeks without any improvement. Here are the things I've tried so far : - Uninstalling / Reinstalling / Installing previous version of Premiere- Resetting app preferences and clearing cache- Opening another project to see if it's working there I'm usually a very nerdy, self fixing things, kind of guy, but I couldn't find any solution on forums, which is why I'm posting here ! It's unbearable, I can't work as fast as I need, please Adobe, help me Here are my PC specs : - Intel i5-12 450H (2.00 GHz)- RTX 4060- 16Gb of RAM- Latest version of Windows 11- My laptop is a Lenovo LOQ 15, if that can help
When replacing a Graphic Source in Premiere Pro with an After Effects Composition, text after line breaks in multi-line text becomes invisible. Is this error only happening to me?
Ok, I feel like a Beta tester of the current STABLE version of Premiere Pro. Pr 25.6.3, win11 24h2, I am the only user of this PC and an administrator correspondingly, there's only one win account on MY PC.So I opened a project I started a week ago, to add some corrections. Some files were missing - mainly the SFX files that I had brought into the project with a Jerry SFX (zxp) plugin. All the plugin files are here: C:\\Users\\AndyF\\AppData\\Roaming\\Adobe\\CEP\\extensionsBut when I try to relink them, Premiere Pro:1) Doesn't open the folder past the Users > AndyF (which is my account name). It just keeps showing me the Users folder despite the fact that the full address is entered into the Path.2) It finds ... something. Well, it says that the missing file could be found, but the OK button is inactive at the same time, and if I still hit it, it shows me this: Guys, Adobe, what the hell is going on? I've been out from Premiere Pro for half a year working in Davinci Resolve, now I'm
When I have a selected clip and open the Text window, I can usually press the Transcribe button and after a few seconds, the whole video clip will be transcribed. However, now, when I press Transcribe, it acts like it has started the process, stops, and shows the Transcribe button again.
Posting this as a documented solution in case others run into the same issue.Issue:In Premiere Pro 25.6.3 (Build 2), native Sony A7S III clips recorded in H.264 10-bit 4:2:2 were importing with audio metadata showing “0 Hz / Unknown / Mono”.No waveform was generated and no audio played back, despite the files being valid.Clip details:Resolution: 3840×2160Frame rate: 23.976pAudio (verified externally): 48,000 Hz – 16-bit – StereoThe same clips played audio correctly in QuickTime, VLC, and DaVinci Resolve, confirming the media itself was not corrupt.Solution:Disabling hardware-accelerated decoding immediately resolved the issue.Steps:Premiere Pro → Preferences → MediaDisable Hardware-accelerated decoding (H.264/HEVC)Restart Premiere ProAfter this, the clips correctly reported 48 kHz stereo audio, waveforms generated normally, and playback worked as expected. Reimport the clips and delete the ones that weren't working previously. Conclusion:This appears to be a hardware decoder
Hi.Since upgrading to 25.6.2, transmit doesn't work at startup. I need to do one of these things to "wake it up": - Open preferences- Open Lumetri PanelIt kind of reminds me this old bug where you had to move the main screen by a couple of pixels away from the second screen to activate transmit on this second screen. But doing that doesn't seem to do it this time...Premiere Pro 25.6.2Macbook Pro M1 Max / Sonoma 14.8.1Main screen : external LG 4K screenSecond screen : internal Mac DisplayTransmit screen : EIZO CG247X
I'm working with a remote team using Productions with LucidLink and we have editors on a mix of MacOS and Windows systems.Within the Production, we have a project containing rushes, with multicam clips corresponding to those which are then pulled into other projects. The raw media isn't on LucidLink, but there are lower res (720p) h.264 proxies on there. The project was initially made while connected to a local drive with the rushes. The rushes were imported (via Media Browser), the proxies were attached (pointing to the LL directory) and the clips were then made offline (Status = 'Offline: User Requested').This allows the offline editors to just use the proxies, while things like scaling aren't impacted. Unfortunately, we're having a problem with waveforms. Specifically between operating systems. I can get everything to work as expected on MacOS. However, as soon as I open up the same project on a Windows system, even though everything is correctly linked (i.e. proxies show a
