I am using macOS Tahoe 26.4.1 on a Macbook M4 Pro. I have been fighting with Adobe Premiere (both 25.6.5 and 26.2) because none of my hotkeys are working whatsoever. I’ve been having to manually click tools, the playback buttons, and timeline area to get anything to work. The spacebar seems to like to open a new instance of premiere every time I press it, which is tough because I usually use that key to stop/start playback. When Premiere 26.2 is first opened, I get an error saying ‘The shortcut key file “Adobe Premiere Pro Defaults.kys” is invalid!’ and the app resumes loading. That same error does not pop up in 25.6.5, but the symptoms are the same. Here’s what I’ve done so far:I’ve held option while opening, and reset the prefs/cache/plugins numerous times I’ve completely uninstalled all Adobe apps and Creative cloud, and used Adobe’s ‘Creative Cloud Uninstaller’. I then reinstalled CC + Premiere. No luck. I tried manually copying the kys file form the app’s package contents, and pla

 Until yesterday I used frame.io V4 in Premiere 26.2.0 with no problem. Today opening the window frame.io in premiere there is a message “something went wrong”.Even if I reload the window this message appears.The Login in my frame.io V4 account via the Browser  https://accounts.frame.io/welcome?legacy_auth=false&auth_callback=adobe%2Bppro://frameio works well: “Authentication complete. Please return to Premiere Pro.” But in premiere it doesn’t work (“something went wrong”).Opening frame.io via the application-page in creative cloud let me work with my frame.io-account within the browser - but not with premiere (“something went wrong”). The same if I sign in at the frame.io-page.I deleted all cache-files, most recently I reinstalled Premiere 26.2.0. No success.Win11, no system-changes since yesterday… No problem with internet-connection.Thanks for help!

Issue:All interactive UI overlays in the Program Monitor are not displayed. Specifically:- No bounding box when a clip is selected in the timeline- No mask outline or handles when creating/editing masks (Opacity, Crop, etc.)- No text cursor when editing text- No text selection highlight when selecting textVideo plays normally and effects apply correctly, but no interactive UI is drawn over the Program Monitor making masking and text editing impossible.Steps already tried:- Toggled "Overlays" via wrench menu (enabled)- Switched between Editing Overlay / V1 Only / Custom Overlay presets- Reset workspace (Window > Workspaces > Reset to Saved Layout)- Full uninstall + clean reinstall of Premiere Pro- Updated NVIDIA Studio Driver- Double-clicked clip in Program Monitor- Tested on a brand new sequence (same issue)- Renderer dropdown is greyed out (cannot switch to Software Only)System:- OS: Windows 11- CPU: Intel i9-14900KF- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070- RAM: 64GB DDR5- Premiere Pro version:26

I edited a video in Premiere Pro 2026 using gamma 2.4. I did my color grade, my animations, my text, etc. When exporting, everything looks fine in VLC, but when I send it to my iPhone to upload it to Instagram, the colors change. I’m aware that Apple uses a different gamma (1.96), and I know the image can look a bit brighter than normal. What makes me uncomfortable is that the colors change in tone. The image in general becomes more yellow, and where the biggest shift happens is in the red tones. A red text color (FF0000) turns into a more orange tone (FF2B00). I’ve been looking into it and I can’t find anyone with the same problem. Am I exporting incorrectly? Is it normal for colors to change on my iPhone? I’ve checked the same video on different devices: on Samsung it looks fine, but on different iPhones and iPads it looks wrong. Test Image with different tones to look on the iPhone. What processor and how many gigabytes of video memory are required for the stabilizer to run smoothly in Synthesize Edges mode? My Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-14700K (3.40 GHz) can't handle it. Will the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K be able to run stably, or will it also be overloaded?  

Hi everyone,I’m currently developing a UXP plugin for Premiere Pro and ran into a serious issue regarding performance and UI blocking.According to the UXP documentation, the API is asynchronous and should not block the Premiere Pro UI. However, in my implementation, calling my autoSwitchCamera function causes the UI to freeze for a noticeable period. After the freeze, all clips are inserted at once at the end of the timeline. In some cases, Premiere Pro even crashes.What I’m doingI process a list of segments and sequentially apply timeline operations (overwrite + trim) using await inside a loop. Anyone else seeing consistent crashing of Premiere 2026? I have the latest update as of February 4th, flushed cache multiple times, re-installed, restarted computer, etc. But certain elements such as:Scrubbing the Timeline Adding Effects Adding CAPTIONS (of all things)Freezes the program and requires a forced quit. Attached is where the captions usually sit and fail before the crash occurs.I’ll likely downgrade to Premiere Pro 2025 if not addressed soon - but checking to ensure I’m not the only one and I need to look at my own stuff? Currently on Macbook Pro 14” with M2 MAX.

I’m running premiere pro 25.6.4 on a Mac mini M4.I’ve been working on a documentary film for a little over a year and had to import other editors sequences. I was not able to bring them in without also having all of the duplicate media and bins brought in as well. I used media browser to import them and uncheck all of the appropriate boxes and it never made a difference…the duplicates and bins have shown up every single time. Consolidate duplicates doesn’t work. It literally doesn’t do anything at all except wonder if in losing my mind.So, I’m willing to rebuild my project from scratch, but everything I try still brings in duplicates. I don’t understand why this is so broken. My current project is starting to lag due to its file size from all of the unnecessary extra media and bins.  can anyone please tell me how I can import a sequence without also bringing in duplicate files? Or can someone explain why consolidate duplicates isn’t working and how I can get it to work?  

As per the title.It wasn’t with the latest update, believe the previous major one, but I’ve been finding Warp Stabiliser completely unusable all of a sudden, somehow hell bent on stabilising the completely wrong area of the picture in a way it never used to.Sure, you can still use AE and the tracker, but the ability to drop it in, choose position+scale+rotation and set to 10 or % used to work a treat in taking the edge off a handheld shot, now it seems to constantly overdo it and stabilising the furthest area in shot at the expense of a usable shot. Anyone else found this to be the case?Along with the abysmal masking tool changes it’s the kind of things that makes you wonder why you haven’t moved to Resolve yet...

Adobe premiere is taking up 17Gb of ssd space , media encoder taking around 13Gb, i just downloaded them is this normal?

Olá,Meu Premiere Pro parou de transcrever áudios.Já fiz o que está orientado em outros tópicos deste fórum: já desinstalei o pacote de idiomas (no caso, o Português) e o reinstalei em seguida, já converti o áudio p/ Mono ao invés de estéreo, já desinstalei e reinstalei o software. Testei em um projeto no qual há uma locução em inglês e a funcionalidade de transcrição também não funciona.Quando clico na opção “Transcrever sequência”, na janela “Texto”, o Premiere inicia uma barra de progresso, como se estivesse fazendo a transcrição. Mas depois dela concluída, a janela volta a apresentar o aviso “Nenhum diálogo encontrado”Passo 1Passo 2Passo 3Passo 4 

Audio clips in timeline (32-bit float) have inaccurate time code displayed in the Program window.  When match framing into the Source window the correct time code is displayed.  This means that whenever I need to know the time code of a frame of audio in the timeline I have to F-key match-frame the clip into the Source window, which is a real pain.  And I can’t scrub the audio clip to find a particular time code by looking at the Program window display.  Is this a bug?  Am I missing something?  (Latest versions of PPro and Mac OS on a Mac Mini M4, if relevant.)  Thanks

How do I revert to the old mask tool in the new 2026 update without having to roll back? I really don’t like it I’m sorry to say. 

Can someone at Adobe please explain why:-INSTEAD OF BRINGING VIDEO BACKGROUND REMOVER TOOL FROM ADOBE EXPRESS TO ALSO BE IN ADOBE PREMIERE (so obvious)-THEY DECIDED TO MOVE THE OPACITY MASK TOOL FROM THE OPACITY SECTION AND REPLACE IT WITH A BIZARRE SYSYTEM THAT TAKES 8 HOURS TO LEARN? why?? why??? who asked for you to remove a essential tool?

I’m having a very frustrating issue where every time I open a project, the progress panel in Adobe Premiere Pro starts “relinking media” and “generating audio,” which takes many hours to complete and severely slows down my editing process.I’m currently using version 26.0.2 and working on a large project with a lot of footage. I’m working from a 14TB external USB-C drive. I’ve already cleared the cache that was linked to the external drive and reassigned it to my computer’s internal drive.I need help solving this problem. Thank you.  

I'm editing a vertical video and have greyed out blocks at the top and bottom of my video, over the top of my clips. Not sure what i've done, but unable to get rid of them and they show up when I export the video. How do I remove them?

I have a Hp Z Book running Windows 11 (23H2) Graphics Card is a Quadro T1000 Processors i7 9850 16Gb Ram with 2xSSDs its comes up as not Compatible with Premiere V26. I have a HP Z840 Workstation running Win 10 and its fine on V26. I gather my only option is to upgrade Windows 24H2 but not sure if that would help. Anyone else have this problem. Thank you in advance.

  Fixed issues in 25.0 Audio: Audio waveforms for a nested sequence could be incorrect depending on the zoom level.     Ok... So what was fixed here?  

Audio glitches, dropouts, timing errors and missing audio playback in nested sequences where audio clips in original root sequence contain audio effects, fades or crossfades. This appears to have been introduced with 12.1.2 release. Rendering audio makes little or no difference. The only workaround I've found is to export the audio files with the effects and fades, from the root sequence and re-import back into another track in the root sequence, thus eliminating the effects. This is not a satisfactory way of working. Please Adobe, give us reliable audio performance. I spend more of my time trying to figure out workarounds than I do using this product.

For a project that I am working on, I downloaded Divinci Resolve. After downloading it, Premier Pro started to crash out, running extremely slow and lagging during editing videos. When attempting to transcribe the audio to add captions, the estimated generation time became 6 hours! This was not happening before I got Divinci.Do the two softwares conflict? Or is there something else I can do to resolve this issue?

I recently bought a newer MacBook Air (an M1) and it is running macOS Tahoe 26.3.1. I migrated all of the applications and data from my previous MacBook Air (an Intel one). That MacBook Air had Creative Cloud installed on it at one point, but I had uninstalled all of the Creative Cloud apps from it at one point because they were no longer running properly.Now that my M1 MacBook Air should be able to run all of the apps again, I have re-installed several CC apps onto it, including Premiere 2026 (please don’t judge). Every time I launch Premiere, it crashes unless I disable third-party plugins. So it would seem that I have a plugin lingering somewhere on my system that needs to be uninstalled.Problem is, the plugin is not showing up as installed on the Creative Cloud app, and I can’t find a way to see which plugins Premiere thinks is installed. How do I remove a plugin that does not appear in any list so that I don’t have to keep remembering to launch Premiere holding the Command key dow

I can't seem to be able to adjust the vertical offset of a single keyframe after using auto frame. I can adjust the horizontal offset and the speed of each transition though.Using the image as a guidance, when I click on the 460.2 for example it moves a single keyframe left/right(horizontally). If I move the 1058.0 it speeds up or slows down the transition. But when I go to the Reframe Offset, it changes the vertical offset for the entire frame. How can I do that for a single keyframe? Thanks!
