Photoshop

Hey there! It looks like neural filters (specifically "style transfer") aren't utilizing my GPU and are instead processing everything on the CPU. I have double checked that my GPU is compatible, enabled, and the mode is "D3D12".Any help?

the home screen stopped working after installing windows 11. I tried reinstalling all adobe and creative cloud programs. It didn't help. I have the latest graphics card drivers installed. I tried resetting photoshop settings and it didn't help either

Nachdem ja immer mehr Endkunden Canva verwenden und damit durchaus sehenswerte Ergebnisse erzielen, habe ich testweise ein Foto sowohl in Photoshop als auch in Canva „per Klick“ freistellen lassen. Irgendwie ist es echt erschreckend – und auch ein bisschen traurig –, dass ein Programm für 110 Euro im Jahr ein Foto deutlich besser freistellen kann als der Platzhirsch Photoshop. Links = PhotoshopRechts = Canva 

when i start photoshop, i feel like getting bombarded with ads and distractions.several banners and popups crying for attention. is there a way to turn all this unwanted stuff off ??????? i cant find words to describe how annoying this is to me. its making me seriously angry. even in the creative cloud app -> huge banner wants to explain to me how to remove backgrounds. i hate this so much. omg

Is there anyway to add a .png image to my watermark and still keep the text editable? I've been using a text watermark on my images and often change the colour so its more visible on whatever the bg colour of my image is. (I use the colour picker in the text bar, works great)I recently decided I wanted to add an icon (which has it's own colour scheme) to my watermark to fancy it up a bit but can't find a way of keeping the text editable with the colour picker once it's C&P'd to my final image. I have a .psd of the watermark with the added .png, if I keep the two layers (linked) then when I C&P the watermark onto my final image I only get the top layer, If I merge or flatten I get the image and the text but can only change the colour with an adustment layer which changes the colour of everything 😞 .Am I expecting the impossible?  answers on a postcard (in simple language) to a troubled photographer

Yesterday I upgraded to version 2026 and after it was installed then I installed the version 2027 (strange that two upgrades appeared one after the other...). But when I go to search on my PC (Windows 11 64x) and type Photoshop it only shows the 2026 version. When I open PS from within the Creative Cloud, the small art-window loading says © {date} - 2025... But when I click on system info on my PS it says: Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.0.0 20251015.r.25 d1c1320 What is happening?   [Mod: Thread was moved to the discussion forum. It isn't an error]  

Over the last handful of years, I've repeatedly been frustrated by changes Adobe makes to the workflow in Photoshop. I've had to find ways to work around the changes to do what I've always been able to do before. The lastest case of this is with selections using the magic wand tool. In the past, I've been able to use it to create a selection (for example, if I'd created a shape of a solid color and coverted that shape to a layer, I'd then select that colored area with the magic wand.) Once I have that selection, I'd invert it, and then use the eraser tool to clear out parts of a different layer. I used this method many times to create the appearance of an object as behind "coming out from behind" another layer. It was simple and easy to do. But now, despite having the "anti aliasing" checkbox checked, every time I use the magic wand tool, I get a jagged edge. Smoothing it doesn't help. Chat GPT provides lists of multiple ways to work around this that add too many steps to the work flow

I started using the latest version of cc with firefly 3 a few days ago. I have no problems creating new images that are excellent and will be used with some of my POD clients.  My only issue so far is with the harmonize command. I am having no success harmonizing images.  I have watched several new videos in youtube covering harmonize.  But I cannot duplicate the process shown in these videos. I have the firefly pro at $19.99. Ample credits.  A couple hours ago I found this link in Photoshop....Blend objects and people with Harmonize.Steps 1 and 2 and 4 are straight forward.  Step 3 states harmonize cannot be used with smart objects. Smart objects are not selected in my preferences.  Step 5 states " Select Harmonize  from the Contextual Task Bar and choose your preferred variation, which appears on a new layer." My contextual task bar does not  show Harmonize.   What am I doing wrong?  Am I m

Hi!I set up a good performance pc:- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700KF- Motherboard PRO Z790-A WIFI (MS-7E07)- 64 GB RAM- three 2 GB SSDs Nvme Gen4- AMD RT6800 video card with 16 GB of VRAMWith the latest versions of Photoshop (from 24) though, when I use Adobe Camera Raw for auto-mask, correction tools, etc, the software starts to lag, sometimes freezing for a few seconds, always.Analyzing the performance of the video card, I can see that the graphics memory occupancy percentage is almost immediately at 100% and from that point on everything jerks and slows down.I enabled the GPU and checked all the boxes in the advanced settings, chose the non-system SSD as the cache unit and put at 70% RAM to use.Is this my problem or does it happen to anyone else?I bought a new computer specifically to handle the new PS features, but...PS Version 25.5AMD driver 24.2.1Windows 11 ProThanksAndrea

Hello,I know that the answer is probably no, but it never hurts to ask, especially that the feature seems useful and somehow basic.My goal is to use a smart object as a mask, which allows me to modify the filters that are attached to it to change the mask at any time. let's say it has sponge+threshold filters and I want to be able to adjust the threshold value to change what's shown or not on another layer. the smart object's pixels themselves shouldn't be seen at all but it should simply act as a mask.I thought that setting the smart object as a knockout layer and removing the blacks from it using blend-if would achieve the result, but the knockout option still sees it as completely opaque.

Recently I got issue in Photoshop particularly with Nano Banana Image generation model in Photoshop new 27 version. From yesterday when I used the Image model it's giving me the result but I don't know why it's changing the size so I had to resize the generated image according to base layer. I thought maybe it's anything wrong happened with syncing issue with creative cloud... So I used the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool and the uninstaller tool. After that when I reinstall the creative cloud app I noticed I get another issue with creative cloud with slowing loading and it's gave relaunch error... Somehow it's open but now the beta tab got missing in creative cloud app. Also now I got one more issue with wacom device option in the illustrator and the auto recover stopped working in illustrator... Gave always alerts about that. This situation really wasting my productivity time.

Hi there,  I'm interested to understand if there is a way to automate/detect the areas within this image that are showing as black? It's a photo from a drone that is missing the sky and a few areas beneath it. I can manually lasso the areas and have AI generatively fill them, but I'm wondering if there's a command or way to interface with Photoshop that allows the platform to analyze the image and identify the areas where there is the black fill.  I have a feeling there should be a way to ask the AI component of the tool to identify the black areas for me. Has anyone heard of something similar?    Thanks 

I have followed any/all the leads as to location of my Photoshop library assets on my PC.  I would appreciate some clarity; are the assets only "in the cloud"?  I've sure spent a ton of time looking for actual files because of wording that says they are available offline.  Maybe this could be explained fully or maybe, I am just missing something.Thank you.

Was the Place Embedded speed key (CTRL+SHT+P) eliminated in Photoshop 2026?

this has happened twice now. not sure if its a bug or not but last time it happened i had to restart my photoshop. it's super annoying and doesn't go away even if i select something else.

I accidentally deleted a couple of gradients from my Gradients > Basics group.  Is there a way to restore them? 

Anyone have information on what the purpose of this executible is?
