What I do in LIghtroom: I have small photo catalogues, usually I work with clients via dng files, so my catalogues are very small. My main use is masks, a lot of masks when I edit, also denoise. Do I really need that full support of preview generation or better take faster 5070?I have 265K + 32GB RAM

 Hallo zusammen,wir haben ein Problem mit unserer Adobe Photoshop CS6 Lizenz und hoffen, dass jemand von euch weiterhelfen kann.Unser alter Computer ist leider komplett kaputt gegangen und musste ersetzt werden. Nun wollten wir Photoshop CS6 auf dem neuen Rechner installieren und aktivieren. Dabei erscheint jedoch die Meldung, dass die Seriennummer bereits auf zwei Computern verwendet wird.Das Problem ist, dass einer dieser beiden Computer der defekte Rechner ist. Auf diesen haben wir keinerlei Zugriff mehr, da er sich nicht mehr starten lässt. Deshalb können wir Photoshop dort auch nicht deaktivieren.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, die Aktivierung des alten Rechners zurücksetzen zu lassen oder den defekten Computer aus der Lizenz zu entfernen, sodass wir unsere bestehende Photoshop-CS6-Lizenz wieder auf dem neuen Rechner nutzen können?Wir möchten kein Creative-Cloud-Abo abschließen und auch keinen neuen Vertrag eingehen. Today, Photoshop did not start, because the application was damaged or incomplete. I tried to load the  newest version of the app in the Creative Cloud, but all what’s happening ist, that the state is »waiting«. I now can’t use Photoshop anymore, for therer is no version on my computer und noone is loadable. What can I do?

This is a bit complicated. Sorry.I have been using Photoshop 2025 on current Mac OS. A while ago, CC apparently installed Photoshop 2026 (it is in my applications folder) but launching Photoshop has continued to launch 2025. Further, CC (yes, I’ve logged out and back in and restarted the computer) shows that Photoshop is NOT installed at all.  In Photoshop 2025 if I go to Help → Updates I see no option to update my installed copy of Photoshop 2025 or switch to the installed copy of Photoshop 2026… and under the “Apps” page in CC, while Lightroom and Lightroom Classic show as installed (I see the “Open” buttons), next to Photoshop I see “Install.”)While I can manually launch the installed Photoshop 2026 application, it does not have access to any of my workspace or preferences from 2025. Using the “click the 3 dots in the CC Photoshop square to check for other versions” doesn’t work either, since CC seems to be unaware that Photoshop is even installed on my computer. Again, sorry for th

I need to record a new action in Photoshop 27.7 and when I find it, it is grayed out. How can I record a new action in 27.7. For the record, it appears to me that Adobe has dumbed down the actions panel in favor of amateurs.Thanks to those who know more than me,Joe

I saw in another discussion that Magic Wand tool had been removed from Photoshop Web - is it missing in Photoshop CC now with the recent update as well? Running version 26.8.1. Please explain to me how to quickly selected the transparent outer edges of an image that has had rotation a few degrees applied in Lightroom and I need to fill the edges outside the original image with content aware fill (a situation quite common when doing small corrections to perspective or rotations when there is not enough cropping margins in the original image).  Lightroom is still in 2025 for all its AI magic tools still lacking the ability to automatically fill the edges itself, even though mobile tools like Google SnapSeed has had this for years, so I need to spend time in Photoshop with this. The Magic Wand was an instant one-click in Photoshop to select the transparent outer edges. It's now been replaced by an Object selection tool, that doesn't recognize the transparent outer edge

cannot seem to download a new copy and install it

Hello, I am trying to create an action to help me edit images for my store. There are several steps to editing each picture, and therefore I decided making an action would be easier to go through everything.  I have 2 layers, one is the item (without a background)  and one is the background. I would like the item to always have the same width, that way it looks a bit more uniform on the website. However, since they are different objects, before making them the same size, they always have different sizes. My issue is, when I do the action, and use transform to make the item layer a specific size, it is translated into a percentage. Therefore, the images are resized by a specific percentage, instead of resizing to a specific size, like I wished. The action says "Transform current layer" and then the Width is for example 76,9%. But as you can imagine, different sizes, resized to 76,9% mean different final pixel sizes. Does anyone know how to make an action th

Ok i have about 60 photos that range in size from 1080p 4:3 to 6k 16:9 and some are portrait and others are landscape. I want to send these to a client to choose the ones she wants graded/developed. I know how to batch resize when all of the photos are the same size but how would i process all of this batch so that they are all no larger than 1920px in H or W?

Photoshop 2026 not saving preferences AND locks up the brush panel every time I load or manage brush folders.

How do you get 10 inches at 72dpi to be 2000 pixels? I know there's a trick, but I forgot. I have photoshop. If I use "image size" I get 10 inches at 72dpi at 720 pixels which I worry is too low rez.

I’m trying to draw a solid shape in Photoshop 27.8.0. However, when selecting the Shape Tool and looking in the Options Drop Down, there are not options for Shape, Path or Pixels. All I see is a declaration that No Tool Presets defined for Current Tool. So, I’m dead in the water. Note, this issue is independent of whether I’m working with an existing file or creating a new one from scratch. 

Changing a layer containing a graphic from Normal to any of the options no longer works. Previously as I scrolled down the list, a preview of each choice would display. That is also no longer functioning.Photoshop 27.8.0Mac OS 26.5.2

I installed PS on my desktop and all actions, brushes, keyboard shortcuts, etc. transferred from my PS Beta to PS. However, I installed PS on my laptop and nothing seems to transfer. Is there a way to get it to do that please?

Title says it all! Looking for a simple script to select a group of 2-20 images and load them into a stack. Some may have one or two layers, and I want them to come with the files and stay in order. I have poked around a lot and haven't found anything like this.... sorry!! Thanks!

Hi there , I am quite new to Photoshop and would like to ask , is it likely that Adobe will develop the Place Embeded command into a multiple file facility sometime soon , (I know about the Srcipts/Load files into Stack) but it would be nice to have individual Layers

Have been editing a batch of photographs today.  I have been using AI Sharpen and AI DeNoise (Topaz) without issue. I received a msg stating I was running low on credits, so I purchased a monthly sub. I was able to use these functions a couple more times - but now, each time, no matter the file, I am receiving an error that reads: “We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again.” I have closed and restarted PS and other apps, signed out of and back into my Creative Cloud acct, and tried toggling the Pref->Performance→Graphics Processor option (suggested online). No luck. Stuck. Would greatly appreciate some guidance / assistance. Thx!

Hi,After updating to Camera Raw 18.4.1, GPU acceleration stopped working.I'm using:Photoshop 27.8.0 Camera Raw 18.4.1 Windows 10 22H2 Intel UHD Graphics 620Everything was working fine before the update.Now Camera Raw shows:"Camera Raw graphics acceleration is not supported by your system."The Use Graphics Processor option is locked to Off.I already tried:Updating the Intel graphics driver. Resetting Camera Raw GPU settings. Recreating the CameraRaw and GPU folders. Reinstalling Camera Raw.Nothing helped.Has anyone experienced the same issue after updating to 18.4.1?Thanks!
