Photoshop

Is there any way to make an existing image look like pewter? I've seen AI generated images with a beautiful, bas-relief pewter look, but I need a way to make an existing drawing or photo look like a pewter medallion. Is the any filter or effect that can do that?

I created a PSD for real estate photos & marketing that I reuse over and over again. Just recently started having an issue upon opening. The 'Adjustment' panel at the top right does not populate, then after a few seconds the PSD shuts down & crashes. It keeps doing this over & over when trying to open. However, when I open again, same response, the 'Adjustment' panel is not populating, but if I put my mouse pointer over 'Adjustment' & click once it will populate after a few seconds & I'm able to use the PSD. I do real estate photography & built my photo editing pc. Everything is up to date, Windows 11, Lr & Ps, etc...The pc operates great no other issues just with Ps. I've created a PSD for real estate that happens to be a bit large, 775MB's. The PSD has many grouped items that overlay on top of other layers for advertising's, banners, headers, post cards, mailings, RE symbols, informational windows, etc... If I'm editing a portrait and want to change the background to black, I tell Gen Fill/Firefly 3 'Dark, solid, even black background,' it often produces a bright sunny landscape or even a white background! Sometimes it's just a mixed up bright pattern. What gives? Any suggestions? Seems like this should be simple...

In Photosho’s Image Size function, there is a selection of presets provided by Photoshop, and the user is able to save their own presets. How to fetch the user created presets and the Adobe provided ones? Please help!

The new photoshop put the gradients in folders. I created a new folder and transfered many of the gradients to that folder. Now I want to restore the gradients to the default way photoshop had them organized. How do I do that. I have opened the G and could not see restore as Adobe said to do. I went to Preferences>tools and clicked the gradient tool and clicked restore but that did not work.

Não encontrei nada relacionado à minha dúvida, então decidi compartilhar.Estou tentando criar um script para automatizar uma tarefa no Photoshop que envolve redimensionar formas e fontes em um arquivo de cotas. O problema é que, ao redimensionar a imagem de 3024x3024px para 1500x1500px, as fontes e formas ficam muito pequenas. Por exemplo, as linhas que têm altura de 1px no arquivo original ficam com 0,5px, e as setas que tinham altura e largura de 10px com traçado de 1,5px diminuem para 4,96px de altura/largura e 0,74px de espessura. As fontes também encolhem muito (antes eram 6pt e 4,7pt, mas depois ficam menores).Já tentei selecionar todas as linhas e ajustar para 1px de altura, mas não funciona. Também tentei transformar as formas em objetos inteligentes, mas não deu certo.Criei um script com a ajuda do ChatGPT, mas ele sempre retorna o erro 1320. Tentei dividir o script em partes, uma para as linhas, outra para as setas e uma para o texto,

It is so frustrating in photoshop when you like the overal image, you just want another background, or you want that the hand of the kid to be holding a pen and you don't have this option! You can click on generate similar but AI do not know what you want to change! Just add a but for us to write what change we want!! Please!! You just don't want a black background! Or you just want the kid to hold a pen! Is really frustrating... Please rethink and open this possibility!!

Hello, I can no longer use the Remini plugin for some reason. It says "Acquired," but when I try to download it, it says "Not Compatible" in gray text. I have Photoshop installed on my D drive—is that the problem? Or what is it?

I would love to see a feature in Photoshop where you can input a list of dimensions to build multiple artboards within one file at one time, perhaps at the file creation screen. I have seen scripts where you can pull a list of dimensions from a CSV or TXT file into Illustrator, and tried to create a similar one for Photoshop. I have quickly learned that apparently Photoshop is not built in a way to be able to run such a script. So frustrating! Please! I work in a digital landscape where I could be building 30+ digital specs for one campaign and burn so much time building artboards. Even just the capability for Photoshop to handle a script like that would be tremendous.

Hi there. MAC OS 15.5. Photoshop 2025. When I make changes to the Print Settings through the Print Dialogue box  (such as Color: Advanced B and W, Max optical Density, Tone: darkest) none of those changes seem to be retianed when I close the window by clicking the Save button. Additonally, If I make changes and create a preset, none of those changes I made are retained the next time I load the preset and check the settings. Anyone else have this problem?

I changed the Image interpolation setting in Preferences>General, but that does not affect the transform tool itself. It keeps defaulting back to "bicubic" in Transform Tool. I want it to be "nearest neighbor" every time. How do I change this. The older version of Photoshop let me keep the setting forever.

When I’m in the middle of working with the Generate Image feature, juggling many variations, and I want to use the current multi-variation state of the document as a new source—say, for composition—I duplicate the image, flatten it, and save it, then use it as the new source. This process would be much easier if there were a dedicated button for it. There are many other practical improvements that could be made to this wonderful Photoshop AI, especially in the field of AI-driven art generation.

Using Sonoma OS. I want to be able to select the Brush tool, then hold down the option key and right click to set the brush size. Currently the feature does not work because holding down the option key while the brush tool is selected, changes the tool to the Eye droppper tool (same as holding i). How do I turn off this feature? I tried turning off Spring-loaded tool shortcuts but that does not affect the Option Key. 

When using 'Export layers to files' I would realy like 'File Name Prefix' to be empty by defaut.Can anyone please tell me what to change in the script to have this box NOT containing the current file name by default? EDIT: My first post was not clear. I also wanted to get rid of the leading sequential numbers.Thank you!

Hello everyone, One of layers have Bevel & Emboss effect to apply metallic effect to shapes. Everything works great, but I miss click and press something instead Ctrl+Alt+E and now Photoshop is broken. This effect looks broken now with sharp edges, and when I merge layers it become brigher. I attached how this effect looks previously and now. The pixeled edge is where the effect ends and another solid layer under it.Color mode is the same 16bit and Srgb, no opacity, fill or blend mode changed. I tried to restart photoshop, open the document in older photoshop version, create a new document. And when I apply this effect it always looks ugly when zoom in and same after merging layers. Previously it looks perfect at laest after layer merge (I didn't zoom in  earlier). It was smooth in visual transition between layers but now very pixeleted.
