Photoshop

Recently when I went to open Photoshop i rec'd an error message which stated "Could not load actions because an unexpected end-of-file was encountered" which then was followed by another message "Could not initialize Photoshop because the preference file was invalid (it has been deleted). Does anyone know how to fix this? I remember seeing a post similar to this but can't seem to find it now.

I’m using Photoshop with the latest release (26.8.1), but I’m encountering the same issues even with slightly earlier versions. Mac OSX chipset M3 ProI’ve been using the Pen Tool for 20 years, so I believe I know it quite well.Issue: I create a clipping path with the Pen Tool, even for complex images with intersections (with the “Intersect Shape Areas” option selected). After spending several minutes carefully outlining the subject, I right-click and choose Make Selection, but I get the error: "No pixels were selected".After several attempts (luckily I saved the path) and switching the Path Operations option, Photoshop finally creates the selection… but it’s always inverted.Am I missing something introduced in the recent updates? Is there something new I should be aware of? Or is something simply not working properly?

Hi everyone, i'm trying to cut to the cap but im wondering how to ged rid off the white stroke around the cap. I tried Modify > Expand/Contract but then i cut out to much of the photo.. What is the right way to do this?

I'm not sure if it's a bug or if they changed something but I've been using PS for over a decade, and whenever I added an adjustment layer it would send me right to the settings for that adjustment. Now I wanted to add a hue/saturation, and instead I'm always being shown the mask settings instead and have no idea where I can actually edit the hue or saturation. When I click the adjustment icon instead of the mask, I still see the mask settings but simply grayed out. I tried it with other adjustments and they don't seem to have that issue, so far it only affects Hue/saturation - I cannot seem to edit it. Photoshop 2025 version 26.8.1.Mac OS seqoia 15.5 I hope the gif makes it clear what I mean. 

I’m currently working on a T-shirt mockup in Photoshop and would like to realistically replicate the look and feel of 240 GSM cotton fabric. I'm looking for either:A Photoshop plugin that simulates high-quality cotton texturesOr a realistic texture pack (preferably seamless and high-res) that can be overlaid on the T-shirt design.Would love to hear your recommendations on the best way to achieve a soft, woven cotton effect, particularly for white and solid-colored tees. Also, any tips on blending modes or masking techniques to make it look natural are much appreciated!

I’m experiencing an issue where the file version I created on my iPad using Adobe Photoshop is not updating correctly when I try to download it from the browser using the same email. This results in using an outdated version of the file. Please assist in resolving this synchronization problem.

This time I started at 51GB free hard drive space, installed Creative Cloud which dropped it to 49GB, then I installed Photoshop, which failed and dropped me to 46GB. I used the cleaner tool and it only brought me up to 48GB so there is another 3GB just gone right there. Reinstalled creative cloud which of course took another 2GB. Installed Beta which succesfully installed which brought me down to 36GB. So installing creative cloud and a 6GB Photoshop Beta app has taken 15GB for some reason. And I still never got my lost 8GB back from previous failed installations. Please do not reply with a copy pasted answer about the cleaner tool. I need you to tell me the exact location where these failed installation files are being stored so I can manually delete them. Please tell me the exact names of the files and folders. I really do not want to have to reformat my entire computer. It makes me wonder how much space adobe has taken over the past two years. I just saw a recently posted yout

I want to print my image with Fuji Archive glossy paper. When I 'color proof' my original image in Ps, the result is far from the original. I proceed with additional adjustments (Levels, HSL, White Balance, Selective Colot, etc) to bring the 'color proof' version closer to the original, but it does not work.I have made a test print (of the 'color proof' image corrected with the adjutments) but the result is not satisfactory.What else can i do?Is there a 'standard' procedure of additional adjutments to bring the 'color proof' version similar to the original image?(PS: With other images that i have printed on the same paper, the above mentioned adjstments were effective; but this specific image has just a limited range of colors (blues/light blues with white rays) and lots of luminosity: the 'Color Proof' version loses all the luninosity, and when i try to bring it back the hue turns to green.)Thank you for your help 

Tengo instalado Photoshop en mi portátil, y en mi casa funciona perfectamente, tanto sin conexión, como con la wifi de casa o los datos de mi móvil. Pero cuando lo utilizo fuera de mi casa, (incluso dentro de mi propia ciudad), al abrir una fotografía, se bloquea photoshop, no puedo ni cerrarlo, tengo que hacerlo mediante la finalización de tarea desde el administrador. Esta actualizado a la última versión todo el plan, así como Windows. Desearía me informasen y arreglasen el problema o error para poder utilizarlo en cualquier parte de mi ciudad o en mi pueblo. It usually happens when I open a file, but sometimes it happens when I try to navigate an image (zoom, move, etc..) or make an edit.This only recently started happening an update or two ago.. I'm currently on version 26.8.1 on Windows 11 and the issue hasn't been fixed.YES, I've reset all preferences back to factory settings.  Didn't help. Attached is a screenshot of frozen photosohp.  Nothing works.  No menus, no tools.. when I click away from the program, I can't even click back into it to see it again until the freeze is done.Possible solution: Uninstall/Reinstall Photoshop.  I just did this through the Adobe CC Desktop program and so far the issue hasn't happened since... but it's only been a few minutes.However, I notice that while I have several tabs (.png files) open, whenever I switch between them the home screen still flashes briefly, so I fear the issue will happen again in a matter of time.I will update this post if the problem persists..Till then, i

SYSTEM: iMac 2017 (iMac18,3), macOS Ventura 13.4.1, Fusion DrivePROBLEM: After recent Photoshop updates, experiencing:- Kernel panics (logd timeout errors)- System freezes and crashes- Bluetooth disconnections- Severe system slowdownsCRASH LOG: userspace watchdog timeout - logd service unresponsive for 120 secondsIssues started after latest Photoshop updates. System is usually stable when Photoshop not running. Anyone else experiencing similar issues on older iMacs?

Help me how can I random rotate, random size of BRUSH that I specify. Because I need to make a large number of PSD files and don't want a hundred images to use the same brush but only a certain place.

CTRL+SHIFT+A does nothing in both Photoshop 2020 and Photoshop CC 2019. All other keyboard shortcuts I have tried work. Camera Raw Filter plug-in is up to date, as of 1/9/2020. I'm on Windows 10. I've tried the default keyboard shortcuts and modified keyboard shortcuts. I can modify the specific shortuct to something else and it works, but then I can't change the shortcut back to its default manually--it's like I'm not pressing any keys at all; I have to click Use Default to get it back.All legacy shorcuts are turned off.  I know I can change it to something different to get A shortcut for Camera Raw Filter, but I'm used to the default and it's engrained in my muscle memory. 😞

My photoshop app on my gaming PC has been fine this morning until now. I have tried to open a PSD file only to the application not loading it after the bar has filled. There's so much work on that project and it's roughly 300 layers which the PC handles like a champion. Other files open just fine aside from this one. I have dowloaded the file and then opened it as the second attempt, nothing then the application starts up to make a "new" file. My internet is fine, but I don't want to lose all that work. I have purged every file as an extra, but nothing changed as I even reset preferences twice. Now I'm attempting my last attempt to fix the issue by uninstalling and reinstalling. What should I do to ix this?

Yesterday i've updated to the recent version.As you can see, both version run, but no any file loaded, so both are in "idle" state:any idea?

Whenever I try to use the gradient tool in the middle of my creation, it always snaps to the bottom. I added a video of it doing it. Is there a setting to turn this off, or am I using the tool wrong? I added this is a discussion because I'm not sure if I'm doing it wrong or if it's a bug. Gradient tool is my enemy lol.  Thanks.

Mask meaning in Cambridge dictionary is FACE COVER. But in Ps mask means everything is hiden outside the masking region. Why is that difference? I know the meaning in Ae. 

I don't know if it exists, but I am looking for a digital pen that I can use to create photomontages in Photoshop on a Macbook.  Does it exist and where can I find it? Thank you!

Hello, I recently started learning to make gifs in Photoshop. I made several, exporting w/ "Save for Web (Legacy)", with no problem, but now all of the sudden whenever I try this the output is very low quality. I've attached an image of what the gif looks like in PS, what it looks like after I've exported it, and what my settings are. The output is low quality no matter if I export the optimized version or the original version. Please be warned: I'm very new to PS! I am using a 2016 MacBook Air btw. 

I'm having a folder with loads of pictures freshly out of the camera (one RAW and one JPG of each picture).I open up a bunch of RAW files in Camera RAW, do some corrections and open them up in Photoshop. So now I have a whole bunch of tabs with all the RAW images open.What I'd like to do: Create an action to save them one by one as JPG, while overwriting the existing JPG that came out of the camera.Problem 1: When recording the action, I get a "_copy" added to the file name since Photoshop does not allow you to save as JPG without creating a copy anymore. And the existing JPG from the camera is not overwritten.Problem 2: When removing "_copy" in the "save as" dialogue, the existing JPG gets overwritten (which is what I want), but then when I use the action for a second picture, it overwrites the first one, since the file name is the same in the recorded action... Thanks so much if someone could hint me in the right direction! 

I was working on a project and then tried to export it and then it would not let me so I closed out of the project then went and tried to click on the project to see if it works then nothing happen nothing will opening up including all previous projects before that and I can only create new projects.

Hi Denoise feature is not working with my RAW and DNG file in photoshop 2025,  The outputs I get by using denoise is redish in color. attaching two sample image with and without denoise.  Please help to solve this issue.  Thanks 

Salve, è già la 3 volte che provando ad accedere a qualche applicazione, mi da questo codice d'errore in background tra le altre cose ho almeno un'applicazione aperta.Prima volta successomi entrando su after effect, errore, e non sono riuscito ad accedere per ore al programma, avevo però in background aperto sia photoshop che illustratorSeconda volta, avevo aperto photoshop ma non riuscivo ad accedere a illustratorTerza volta, avevo aperto illustator e after, ma impossibile aprire photoshopOvviamente i problemi sono continuanti anche chiudendo tutti i programmi e provando ad utilizzare solo quello che mi dava il codice d'errore.Ho un macbook m2 ultra (onestmanete non so se serva come informazione) ed ovviamente tutte le app sono aggiornate. 

The current selection is the frame of the box, as indicated by the red arrow. How can I select the smart object layer on the right side, as indicated by the green arrow, using JSX script code? I’ve searched many keywords in the forum but couldn’t find an effective solution. I’m posting here for help out of desperation. HiWhen I use the option to remove the green or purple colours often formed against a skyline, I get white/bright rim around the edge of the skyline instead.  I need an option to "content aware fill" this very fine area, where rim  ming exists. (Your sensitive words are driving me mad.  The term here is rim- ming I believe.
