Photoshop

I wonder where the option went to feather shape layers. For example, I remember I could draw a circle and put in a pixel value to feahter the edges. Now I only see the fill and stroke option. Was this recently removed, what am I missing? 

just now, DNGs are not opening to usualthumbnails + panels for further processing;only first DNG opens as single "big" image with partial info& mostly unresponsive white space all around it;can't find setting that gets me back to DNG thumbnails + panels;having to hit Alt-Ctrl-Del to get out of Photoshop 2025...help please, if possible;  thanks in advance;  Windows;

14 March 2023Hi, I have a new Fuji X100V (which replaced an X100T I had for years). I can't open uncompressed raw .RAF files using Photoshop CC directly, or when using the "open with" command from within Photo Mechanic (latest version). I am up-to-date with the Camera Raw plug-in in Photoshop CC.  My Mac runs Mojave 10.14.6I just opened some raw/.RAF files created with my old X100T—no problem. I have never had this happen with my Fuji or my Nikons. I would prefer to be able to do as I always have, opening the Fuji raw .RAF files directly rather than converting them to DNG files. Help please! THANKS

Does this work for anyone with Adobe Photoshop 2021? It would be an amazing action set to have, but it just errors out saying "Could not rasterize because the selected pattern is not available." and that a bunch of the actions just don't work or aren't available.   This would be so cute and useful... if it ever worked. Hi everyone ☺️​👋​As per my title, I am having a very annoying problem with Photoshop after the last two updates.I use a Huion kamvas pro 16 2.5k tablet and had no problems before.But now I have some kind of bug when I use the Huion keys.I set the ctrl+z key on the tablet so I don't have to use it on the keyboard but now, 90% of the times I press it it zooms out instead of clearing the last action. I tried changing the shortcuts in Photoshop and then on the tablet but nothing changed.Very often, before I can delete the last action, I have to press the key on the tablet at least 4/5 times. In the meantime photoshop zooms out and I have to put the image back to the correct size and press the key again, hoping it will work this time. It is really annoying and slows down my work a lot 😫 Has anyone had the same problem as me? Unfortunately, the last Huion update is from last year so I can't try to fix it this way. I thought the problem was P

I have been in contact with an agent asking why the remove in the contextual tool bar within Beta isn't already in PS. I am a School Sports Tog and therefore my procedure is isolate subject, remove from backround and then blur and put back subject. this is procedure for every photo i publish. under GDPR  rules i have to and in some instances like when shooting athletics controlled by English Associations have to guarantee it. the remove tool in beta is just what i needed because currently PS replaces the subject with something else and sometimes really obscure so i end up in a loop ending up going back to conventional ways to remove and then blur. so i am now working all the time in Beta because it does what i need and rarely go into PS. can i please ask for this facility to be moved up the priority list and released into PS as soon as possible

Hi, I'm having a lot of issues with my exports on photoshop. The picture looks exactly the way I want it to look on my computer, but always looks way to dark on my phone. I'm using a Mac with a DELL U2720Q display and my pictures look alright on my Macbook screen as well as the Dell. This problem is only happening with the pictures I export. If I'm browsing the web or instagram and I see barely any difference between my displays and my phone, which leads me to believe this isnt a calibration problem, but an export problem. I tried rgb, srgb. jpeg, png. Same problem with all possible combinations.The only way I've found to correct this is by adjusting the gamma value of the picture to 1.5, which corrects it on my phone, but makes it way too bright on my computer. I have no idea why this is happening or how to fix it..

A friend of mine gets strange geometric artefacts when processing their image. Mostly when using a filter like High Pass. I first thought that these might only display issues related to the drivers or maybe a GPU issue, but the artefacts are saved in the image as well after they appeared. They definitely are not in the original image but rather randomly appear during applying filters. You can see them in the image below. They don't always appear in the same place and sometimes might not appear at all.  Here's a link where you can actually see the artefacts appear. Basically what happens is that any activity in a Photoshop 2025 app using a tablet result in 2-3 seconds of cursor freeze. Mouse works correctly, pen also works without any fault in Illustrator or any other app, the issue occurs only in Photoshop. Disabling Gsync didn't fix the issue. I tried adjusting preferences (Preferences > Performance > set 21049 MB of used RAM - this is 84%, set 6 points buffor). I have newest drivers for my tablet, for my GPU, latest version of PS 2025...   I've run out of ideas. Do you have any clue what can I do to fix this? my GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 TiRAM: 32 GBscreen: Samsung LC24RG50, 144 Hz, 32-bitTablet: HUION inspiroy H610PRO V2Windows 11

Good morning. I remember some time ago, altering something, somewhere in Photoshop, so that each time I apply a mask, it is clipped to the layer below it. I did not create an action (I was new to Photoshop).   The automated use of the clipping mask is driving me nuts, now that I am actually more proficient in Photoshop. I can't find where I can stop getting a clipping mask each time I add a mask. I am wondering if I altered something in my Photoshop Settings/Preferences.I use a iMac. I would so appreciate getting rid of the automated clipping so that I can apply one if I need one, but not have each and every mask clipped each time I add a mask.Many thanks in advance 

I've been making a timeline using the max of 500 layers.  I want to make a flickering light effect by duplicating a previous layer and adding a bit more onto it. Because I can't see the previous layer (not sure how onion skinning works here) I'm having to guess/approximate what the previous layer looked like which makes it appear a little jerky.  Is it possible to onion skin the previous layer where I can then draw directly onto each individual layer?

Hello,I have a problem when I want to update Photoshop.My computer:Apple M18 Go RamSequoia 15,5I currently have version 26.5 of Photoshop. When I ask to upgrade to the latest version (26.8). Creative Cloud tells me that my software is up to date.If I try to update manually, the operation stops after a few seconds with the message that there isn't enough space on my disk (although there are 707 Go available).I don't know if this could be the cause, but recently I transferred Photoshop from my main disk to a secondary disk.Can you help? 

   I have subscribed to the Adobe photography package, but Photoshop does not recognizethe subscription, and I am being forced to purchase a separate subscription.

When we create solid color why mask appear with that? because if we deleted the mask solid color still exist.   

In this book im  studying It says when I need a shape such as a symbol or object the placeI can turn to is the Shapes panel which contains a wide selection of Premade Graphics but nothing comes up in mines. What do i do on that. I need help please somebody

When using COLRv1 color variable fonts, if I select the text with the text tool and change variable axes, after more than one change the font style will change back to the default. (see video attached) If I select the text object using the move tool it seems I can generally make more that one change. (see video attached) But other times the behavior is similar to when using the text tool. I would expect that changing the axes shouldn't change the style. Thanks!

I've been using ai more and more, not to create imagery, to remove objects. Yesterday I was told there was a limit, I was out of credits and I had to use the clone stamp and I am about fed up with adobe. I already pay a fortune monthly for this software. Does anyone have an alternative software that I can look into that is one time payment vs monthly?

Since a few days Photoshop CC version (23.4.1) randomly makes it unable to click anything. It just makes the sound like there is an open window - but there isn't one. This happens after startup, and sometimes during work. All that I can do is forcing to close via the task manager. Only thing thats works is restarting the computer. Which is a pain, since all open windows will be closed as well.  Please fix this.

I installed Photoshop. When I try to launch it, the system tells me: "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory. Please reinstall the Application." I've reinstalled the program ten times, but it's still the same. Does anyone have a solution?

Idk what I did but now the image displays the word "green" at the top and now the paint bucket and any form of drawing just comes out grey white or black. Could anyone tell me what I did and how to fix it?   On Mac, latest version of PS.

Hi,Since updating to CC2017 many things have not worked as they used to at their defaults so this may be user error.I have the eraser set to opacity 100% and Flow 100%, but the eraser does not erase 100%. In the attached screenshot, you can see that I am attempting to erase the black background. I put the green behind to see my progress/make sure nothing was missed. Here is what I have tried:Tried using my mouse instead of wacom tablet.Tried using block and pencil, both do the same thing as brushTried resetting the toolHardness is at 100%Tried clicking and unclicking "pressure for opacity" next to opacityTried clicking and unclicking airbrushTried googling the answer but didn't really find anything applicable.The background eraser does the exact same thing.What am I doing wrong?

Since the last update of Photoshop and Illustrator spacebar and move doesn't work anymore.The hand shows up when I press space but when I left click it doesn't move around.
