Photoshop

I must have missed the memo; When did clicking somewhere *gestures wildly* on the Layers Window activate some kind of zoom for the current document? What is exactly and how do I avoid thise seemly annoying feature in the future?  

I have issues with Photoshop not showing correct colors of the photo. The image is desaturated. When I open "Liquify" window inside app it shows correct colors.  I have Photoshop version 26.6. This is not happening with older version 22.2. Image in the liquify window of the Photoshop v26.6 matches colors of the same image opened in Photoshop v22.2.I have calibrated monitor, checked options for color settings and profiles. I tried disabling "Use Graphics Processor". The only difference with this setting is that the colors are desaturated inside the "liquify" window too.I'm working on a Mac mini, M4 Pro, Sequoia 15.5.How can I solve this problem?

There seems to be an issue with the workspace and documents in Photoshop 26.7. There is now a slider on the right of the documents/frame.  No matter what size one is zoomed in on,  the image bounces around frequently with an extended black workspace background jumping out.  I spoke with Adobe support and they looked into this on my computer and suggested I make a 'wish' report.  I am mentioning it here as the form I was directed to wasn't helpful. Please stabilize the documents by removing the slider from the frame.

Hello! Everytime i use Photoshop it tend to freeze quite often wether it's in the main menu and editing and it's just unusable in general. I've tried reseting my preferences and giving it more RAM but nothing works and i am not quite sure where to go next. Here are some information about my Photoshop Version along my PC Specs.Photoshop Version - v26.7CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800XRAM: 48 GBGPU: NVIDIA Geforce RTX 3060OS: Windows 11 Pro If you know something that could fix my issues please let me know! 

While working, the following happens, infrequently:1) The canvas area shows the first screen (the one showing the most recent files; tools bar, layer bar, all that stuff is still on screen); sometimes it becomes stuck like that, "not responding", won't even close from the task manager, needing a system restart;2) If it doesn't freeze like that, then the canvas comes back, but the open gl features a disabled (it shows "Could not complete your request because it only works with OpenGL enabled documents windows" when trying to rotate the canvas for example);  This issue persisted on two completely different laptops (one with a GTX 1080, Windows 10 and now on a RTX 5080, Windows 11). The two consistencies between the two is the drawing tablet, a Huion Kanvas 13, and my files.For the latter:File size: roughtly 8000x5000 pixelsLayers: over 40Mode: CYMK 8bit/Channels Troubleshooting so far:- Enabled the RTX 5080 in the Nvidia Control Panel (for Photoshop sniffer.exe too),

What is the different between these two? 

Once people are detected there is no "People" option to select thuimbnails of each person. I have tried every suggestion to no avail. Any ideas?

Anyone know the degree information when manually adjusting the object using Adaptive Wide Angle filter. Adobe appears to claim there is no reference to alignment. Gives me the perception this run contrary to personal experience. Which leads me to question why a manual tweak is necessary. Once a reference line is drawn, the filter should follow the line as a point of reference.PS 26.6 Win 11

Hi all - when I set up a new document I can't use CMYK if "Artboards is checked. However, I can convert to CMYK after the document is created - is there any reason for this?  

Hi,Complete newcomer to PS.When I hover over an icon I get a pop-out offering me the options to 'Learn More' or watch a 'Quick Video'. When I select either of these nothing happens.I've searched for help but the only thing I can find is how to turn the pop-off!! I seem to have to the opposite problem to everyone else. I'm hoping the info and tutorials will be useful. PS 26.6.1MacOS 15.5.0 Can anyone suggest what the issue might be? Thanks in advance.

I've been experiencing this for a while but only just got round to posting it.  I'm running photoshop 2023 24.0.1 on a macbook pro 2017 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 Its a really annoying bug where if I use a keyboard shortcut, sometimes photoshop doesn't register that I've pressed the shortcut key. For example I will select something on a layer by cmd clicking that layer in the layer panel. Then on a new layer when I hit the g key to bring up the paintbucket tool photoshop doesn't register that I've used a shortcut, I'll have to press it again. It happens randomly and with various keyboard shortcuts, but its really frustrating.   Any tips/help?

In the new Photoshop, the Generative AI model has changed. The quality has dropped drastically, and this has become a disaster for my work.This is the original image:This is photoshp 2024:And this is Photoshop 2025:As you can see from the examples, the difference is simply enormous! The new Photoshop just can't handle texture generation. It's hard to understand how something could be made this poorly, and there’s no way to adjust or configure it. 

 so i edited each frame of all the layers and timeline to delete the background so that i could overlay the gif in the video.  it plays back fine in photoshop.  but the exported image shows remnants from the previous frames.  as it continues to play, some of the frames are removed.  i checked the timeline and clicked each frame and looked at the layers and it only had one layer per frame.  i used the export > save for web legacy.

In Photoshop 2025 for Mac (latest PS and Mac OS updates have been installed), I get the following error message when I use the Trim command "Could not complete the Trim command because of a program error (edcd3b.337)" or use the Canvas Size command "Could not complete the Canvas Size command because of a program error (edcd3b.337)". I have reviewed all of the Adobe "Learn how to fix" suggestions, as well as many other video suggestions (primarily Performance and Technology Preview settings). Nothing so far has fixed this issue. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can print from Photoshop to my Epson P700 but I cannot change the color or color mode settings. After about an hour on a chat with an Adobe tech we determined the problem was some kind of incompatibility between Photoshop and the Mac OS. I can't find anything anywhere that addresses this. As of now, I have a fairly expensive printer that, with a bag of concrete and a chain, would make a decent boat anchor. Is this just another example of Apple abandoning the creative user market that helped define the brand?

I will generate an image using generative fill and then go in for image modifications using generative fill and the reference photo and style icons are gone. This was literally working for me yesterday, but I saw there was an update and updated PS overnight and this morning this option is completely gone. After reading around for the past few hours, I am finding that it was completely removed in the update and a reference object is available in the beta version. This doesn't help when I have generated an image that is done as an animated drawing and all I want to do is change the image of a plant (for example), and it replaces it with a realizstic plant image instead of an animated drawing. The reference image helped ensure that the modifications would be in the similar style as the original image.  I am praying I am missing something because this is extremely important in my job and I honestly don't know what I will do if I cannot get this to work. Hi, I appreciate AI is a bit of a wild wild west situation at the moment! Just wondering if anyone has guidance on this subject though!I work for a company who feature content from big retailer/FMCG/hospitality brands. Occasionally we have to try and expand an image of (for example) a person against a backdrop of some sorts, to fit the graphic we're creating. Are we legally allowed to do this? I ask, because presumably the actual photographer/brand holds copyright and any alterations to images prior to AI would previously have been prohibited by law.We are in theory, promoting that brand, and it could be a subtle extensions of the image that people probably wouldn't notice, but they don't get to ever see it to okay it and I know some companies have incredibly fussy visual merchandising standards. Even if it's a subtle extention of the backdrop only, would it be legal/above board as the whole image would have then been run through AI? What if they aren't okay with having their stuff put

Hey,Is there a way I can change the photoshop brush panel to show a "stamp" of the brush rather than a continuous flow?As shown in the screenshot my brush panel shows the brush as it would look if you were painting a continous line with the brush which makes it hard to visualy find the a brush I want to use. It would be much easier if the view port for the brush just showed it as a stamp like how it is shown at the top of the brush panel once it has been selected.Is there anyway to do this?Thanks in advance for any answers 🙂

Setting up a new Mac Studio and want to migrate my Photoshop 22 settings on my PC over to a new PS installation on my Mac. Can this be done as a single migration (settings folder?) w/o having to do prefs, actions, brushes, keyboard shortcuts, etc. separately? Any helpful how-to links are appreciated. Thanks.

I subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud with the intention of using the AI-powered tools to unleash creativity on my images. Unfortunately, I’ve been running into a series of limitations and issues instead. One of the main frustrations is that Neural Filters in Photoshop are greyed out and not available for use.It would be incredibly helpful if there were an explanation provided in the application itself as to why the filters are unavailable. Right now, I’m spending far more time troubleshooting and searching for answers than actually creating.Could someone from Adobe please clarify why Neural Filters might be greyed out, and what steps I need to take to enable them? Does anyone know a way to export 16bit  RGBA image   from Photoshop  to be then read well it in Substance Designer and Blender ?    Whatever I try Alpha is always 8 bit or something.    Same layer transparency in pngs.    Whatever Pixel depth I set in my document.    Tried  exr .   saved as stepped  8 bit nevertheless .     Alpha works fine with Tiffs  but RGB part goes somewhat  weird in Substance Designer . Like it read it with alpha transparency + some gray background.     Chat GPT tells me Photoshop only respect set pixel depth in RGB  and A is always 8 bit when it saves exr or png . Is it really so or it's hallucinating ?
