There were some great ideas posted in our previous '180' darts challenge. Thanks to all who took the time to participate. This week we are off to Loch Tarff in the highlands of Scotland. The loch is close to Loch Ness on the south-east side. It's name Tarff  translates as bad-tempered or, when referring to weather, as severe or intense. There are some sources though, that suggest the word Tarff used here is a transliteration of the Gaelic word Tarbh which means bull. Tarbh-uisge were mythological creatures said to inhabit moorland lochs.  If those descriptions don't give you a starting point for creating and image in this week's challenge then what will? The “rules”: Use the starter image as at least part of your own image entry. Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright, etc. Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. After the latest Photoshop update, Remove Tool Generative AI became slow and laggy. On some images it fails with a false "check your internet connection" error, while Generative Fill continues to work normally.

Since updating to Photoshop 27.6.0, external APFS disks no longer appear in Preferences > Scratch Disks. The disk is properly formatted, correctly mounted, and visible in Finder and Disk Utility, but Photoshop does not list it as an available scratch disk option. This worked correctly with previous versions of Photoshop on the same system. Tested on macOS Tahoe 26.3.1 with a 256 GB external SSK SSD formatted as APFS. Reformatting the disk as HFS+ (Mac OS Extended Journaled) via Terminal makes the disk visible in Photoshop scratch disk preferences, but macOS Tahoe unmounts HFS+ external volumes intermittently, making it an unviable workaround.

Hi guys, I have a problem, because I don’t know how it happened, but after drawing an object with the Pen Tool and turning it into a clipping path, it selected and cut out the area around the object instead of the object itself. I’ve been looking everywhere for a solution, but I don’t know what to do. Also, I’m working on Windows. Could someone help me?"

What are real estate photographers using to edit their real estate  images? Removing clutter, adding virtual furniture , everything that real estate agents are  wanting 

I'm using Photoshop 25.9.1 on one of the newly released copilot+ PC with SnapDrag. So far the software is working fine but I can not find "remove tool" anywhere. Is this a bug or that feature has not been yet ported on ARM?   This is the menu displayed at the moment:  

i just brought a month subscription of adobe photoshop 2026 yesterday everytime i try to start it up it loads then the program just doesnt open? ive done everything uninstalled everything then re installed, tried older versions. nothing works. all my pc software is up to date and can easily run it

Hi everyone, I would like to report a very critical issue I encountered in Photoshop 27.7. I cannot currently reproduce it further because I do not want to reopen or continue testing the affected file for safety reasons. The behavior looked like possible layer/mask structure corruption or a severe masking/document-state bug.🤔 What happened I had a complex PSD file open. The document contained many layers, groups, and Smart Objects, including placed Illustrator/vector Smart Objects. The Remove Tool was not used.The Modern UI was enabled. After a key press, which I unfortunately cannot identify anymore, parts of the document suddenly displayed incorrectly:text blocks were only partially visible underlying layers suddenly showed through several layers and groups appeared to have rectangular cutouts these cutouts looked as if they had been created in layer masks or group masks Creating these rectangular masked areas manually would normally require several deliberate commands. I am using the Photoshop iOS app and I have having 2 huge issues. The first, when I go to the FILES icon in the menu bar at the bottom, it does not show PNG files stored in my cloud. The second issue, all of the folders are unresponsive when pressing on them. Meaning, I cannot open a folder to get to files that are organized in my cloud. Please fix this. 

Fix the bug in the latest version of Photoshop where holding down Alt to use the eyedropper while using the brush tool causes lag or glitches.   [Profanity removed by moderator]   I’m so freaking annoyed. The latest versions of Photoshop are ridiculously slow and laggy. When I’m using the brush tool and hold down Alt for the eyedropper, it’s so damn sluggish that painting is impossible. I paid for this, and it’s infuriating. Why the hell is it so slow? When I updated this time, I checked “remove previous versions,” so the newest version 27 got installed and Photoshop 24 got deleted. Version 24 didn’t have this eyedropper issue, so I was using that — but now I can’t even find a way to download it again! Adobe, seriously, just fix the [cursing removed] eyedropper lag or whatever’s making it stutter. This is so freaking frustrating.    

Hello everyone, after changing my computer ( the old one wouldn't start anymore ), i had to resubscribe to photoshop. However, i subscribed to the wrong account and i no longer have acces to my présents. Do you have anu suggestions on how i can recover them ? I do not have acces to the "développent" section of my old account on the application and i no longer have thé files saved on my computer. Thank you !

i wonder why remove tool worked without problems with macOS 13.7.8, but when, a few days ago, i updated the desktop app to 27.6 version, the same tool results unavailable because… macOS 14 is requested.A joke inexplicable for me.Is this a bug or a way to make me spend money that i don’t have to buy a new mac? 

In Photoshop 27.7, the Luminar Neo plug-in, which appears correctly in the Filters panel, does not open and reports "The command 'Luminar Neo' could not be completed because the file was not found. How can this be?"

At times, the shortcut keys stop working and I’m having to use the previous tool mistakenly. This happens randomly and I have to press a shortcut for a tool multiple times before it starts working. This happens especially with the zoom tool where I have to press its shortcut multiple times, also with the remove tool. 

This issue is on Photoshop 27.7 and Photoshop (Beta) as well. I’m using a macbook with macOS 26. Whenever I use selection brush tool to select a part of an image, then if I use it again and it intersects with the selection i had previously created, that intersected part gets de-selected for some reason even though the “ADD” function is on. This problem should be fixed and it’s been a nuisance for a long time now. As you can see, the “ADD” function is on, and the place where the pink lines intersect get de-selected.  

Its very delayed but when it does load it doesnt do what I have asked 

I have a large number of photos that were scanned from negatives years ago. Ideally, they would be a perfect 3x2 or 2x3 aspect ratio but that is not the case. I am looking to size them for the web using Photoshop. I can do this manually but I am looking to create an action to do such.This is what I typically do. Size the longest edge to be 1200px. If shortest edge is >= 800px, trim the canvas down so that the image is now 1200x800 (or 800x1200), Else if the shortest edge < 800px, size the image so that the shortest edge is 800px and trim the canvas so that the image is 1200x800 (or 800x1200). Save the file as "<Original Name> (Full).jpg" in a different folder. Size the image down to 266x400 (or 400x266 if landscape). Save the file as "<Original Name> (Thumb).jpg" in a different folder. I'm having problems creating the action, specifically with steps 2 & 3. Any hints or pointers for that?

Who had the great idea of Gen-Z-ing this? With the new Photoshop-Update it is terrible to “act” on my actions. IT IS OVERBLOWN!!! WHO THOUGHT THIS IS A GOOD IDEA??? It used to be easy to click on/off parts of my actions that I’ve programmed (which is such a cool feature from you guys! Love it!) . Now you’ve made it very hard to “on/off” parts of my actions.Do you really need to “stupify” your software? The new “Actions” interface is honestly terrible, it looks like a bad “beta”. Please revert to the old UI. What I hate: the new UI design structure itself is very hard to read – “what’s active in my action, what’s deactivated”… it used to be really easy to change a programmed action within, now … it’s not. Many more steps are involved now. I was much, much faster before the new implementation. Honestly, who thought this is a good idea/update? It is not.You do create fantastic things for us and I love you for it, but this is not one of them.If you need more … please contact me, this need’

When opening raw files in ACR I get a split screen showing my RAW image plus a filmstrip like section with a copy of the image.  I dont want this split screen, how can i get back to a single screen 

I have the latest version of Photoshop,  27.6.0. However I just got a pop up window on my Mac saying“Support Ending for Intel--based Apps. This version of “Photoshop 2026” will not open in a future release of macOS. Learn how to update to an Apple Silicon version.”  But this latest version of Photoshop is the silicon version (and has been since version 22 or so).  What is going on? A Mac bug?

Photoshop randomly stops working/freezes aS I am making edits and then will just stay frozen. If reload page, then it will not save the edits i made at all to image. It has never done this before so I am confused as to what to to do. My computer is up to date. I have a macbook. It has enough storage. I have signed out of photoshop. It’s only photoshop because lightroom is working perfectly. 

I am trying to edit jpg image files from a recent trip, but while Photoshop allows me to open the jpg, it won't then allow me to use any of the editing tools (apart from the crop function).  I also found that Photoshop will not allow me to edit some older jpg images, including some that had previously already been edited in Photoshop without issue!If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this matter, I would really appreciate it.Thanks for your help. 

The function File → Export → Color Lookup Tables does not create the correct 3D LUTs anymore.The output cube files are valid, but the values do not match the adjustments made in Photoshop.
