Hi, I'm using Photoshop 22.0 in Windows 11. Starting this morning, every time I tried to save a file, the program crashed. I quit Photoshop and reset preferences. Now, not only does it crash on save, it crashes when I use File-> Open...Please advise.
I don't know why it's flickering. I have made a loom that highlights the issue more clearly : https://www.loom.com/share/8f93fb73c7db48e89b6392083b09d077
I would like to make a few questions for this community regarding WebP for web images: Do you recommend switching over to WebP (from PNG and JPEG) for web images?Does it really decrease size preserving quality? I've realized that when I export to Webp, the colors are a bit off from my Photoshop design, whereas JPEGs seem more color-faithful. What color profile settings (or other settings) could improve the color fidelity of my WebP exports? I've found that I need to use an external image compressor (such as [removed by moderator]) to get my file to the optimal balance in quality vs size for websites. Is that really necessary, or can I get to an optimal compression using Photoshop WebP export settings alone? What method do you recommend going from Photoshop to an WebP final image optimized for the web?
Hi,since I am sometimes confronted with the issue of adjusting image proportions, I had an idea for a small add-on in the unit pull-down-menu in image size / canvas size: ProportionI am using this pretty frequently "by hand", but it would be neat if Photoshop calculated (on the basis of the given image proportions) the relative size of the image height / length with regard to a reference proportion. For instance let's say: I take 16 as a length reference (with the goal to resize for a 16:9 format) and PS calculates the according fraction of the height... Best regards, Andreas
I don't know if it is just me, but I cannot use the feature at all. I tried 10+ YouTube tutorials on going around it and read here about how to enable it, but nothing seems to work for me. Method 1: I have a picture where I need to remove 1 Wire/Cable. I create a layer over on which I select the wire via the Remove Healing tool, but when I click on One click removal of wires and cables I get the message that I cannot do it on a transparent layer. So I delete the layer and try to do it on the actual image. Can't even select it. Method 2:I create a selection with brush/laso/object selection tool. Select the surrounding of the cable and try using the same Remove healing tool (both on a layer and on the image). I get the same errors as before. PS setting changes: I tried changing it in preferences under image processing - Remove tool processing from "faster" to "more stable". No luck Yes, I have the latest PS update. Oh yeah, and on top of that, even if I
Hi, I'm trying to use the different types of clone tools but non of them are working. For example: I want to remove a small fly in my picture by using the healing brush. When I drag my finger over the screen nothing is happening. Normally you get like a darker line on the area you drag your finger but now nothing is showing or changing!I didn't change anything in the settings and before it was working with no problem! Just one day I needed it and nothing happened. can someone please explain why it's not working? thank you in advance!
Hi there, Since I updated to 26.2 this morning, Photoshop is a pain [cursing removed] to work with. It became unresponsive, laggy as hell, when I alt+click on a mask it becomes gray and photoshop blocks, well, worst nightmare even. I've tried to deactivate my GPU in the preferences, it smoothes things a bit, but the interface is still not as responsive as before. I'm using it since the past 15 years for my work, on big files, and it's the forst time I have so much issues with it. All my drivers are up to date, and I have a pretty decent workstation, so I don't understand what could cause that. If anybody has an idea, feel free to tell me what you think 🙂 Thanks in advance !!Here are the system info, just in case: Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.2.0 20241207.r.140 bc85906 x64Number of Launches: 1301Operating System: Windows 10 64-bitVersion: 10 10.0.19045.5371System architecture: AMD CPU Family:15, Model:1, Stepping:0 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3, SSE4
Hello! maybe 6? years ago in art class we used something in photoshop, visually similar to posterize, to reduce an image to a certain amount of colours to use in screen printing, we'd then separate the colours to different layers and use them to print with. I'm looking to find the tool that was used for this - The only example I have are photos of a printed out image using this process. I remember it coming up with a small grey pop up in the middle of the screen, and you were able to alter a slider to change the number, which would result in a more/less detailed image. Have been wondering this for years - would appreciate the help so much! Thank you 🙂
I just made a swatch and tried to save it. As soon as I clicked save swatch, the "waiting for libraries" dialogue box popped up and won't go away. The whole program is frozen. I can't even command-tab out of the program to get anywhere else. I had to go up into the apple menu and find safari as a "recent item" in order to type this message. The progress bar has filled up, but the dialogue box won't go away.I hope someone fixes this glitch. This is the second time this has happened to me and all I know to do is force quit and lose all my work in the file I'm working on. 😞~ Sarah
So I'm not sure what's happening here. I get a file let's say PNG (some other non-Adobe software used to create image), I open it in Photoshop and then I add some text under the file and save the file as PNG. I have some rip software that I use and then it's printed. If I bypass the step where I open the file in photoshop, then I rip it without changing any settings and print it, I get a darker color. What is causing this? I think the darker color is a more accurate representation on the monitor compared to what is printed. It seems like when saving the file I don't have my ducks in a row when it comes to the color profile so it's printing lighter/brighter. Color mode is RGB in photoshop and the other person who is sending me the file shows that he's exporting it in RGB mode as well. I'll attach an image of what my "Save copy" > PNG options look like. Any and all help would be appreciated
la primera es la que me abre PS y la segunda la real
Eacxh time I attempt to edit a photo using the Camera Raw filter "Create New Mask" function, the "move:" tool becomes active and moves my photo around the screen preventing me from using any of the "Create New Mask"Functions.I am using Photoshop 26.3.0 running on MacOS Sequoia 15.3.1.Any help would be greatly appreciated.,
I have designed a full poster, however now I am told I am only allowed my font as Arial. I've tried copy and pasting from docs, etc to see if the font transfers over .. but it doesnt. Is there any possible way of making the font Arial without having to start all over again?
Было бы классно корректировать плотность маски кривой, из этого окна)
Hi! I keep running into this weird issue across all Adobe Apps (including PS) with some fonts. Currently, I'm having problems with the Montserrat font. Default kerning is terrible! Some letters keep getting glued together, others have decent kerning, and I have to correct everything every time manually. All of my settings are at default and I selected Metric kerning. I understand Montserrat is not some anonymous font, and Metric should do a decent job.Am I missing something? Does this happen to anyone else?
When I try and import photos photos and video from folders screen freezes! Previosly it imported seamlessly.
I have a large documents with a lot of text layers. My font got updated and now some letters look a bit different, so I need to update all my text layers in one go instead of wasting time doing it manually with every layer. Problem is, a while back I clicked on "No" then checked "Don't show again", and now I can't make that message to show up again. I tried: Preferences > General > Reset All Warning Dialogs, closed PS then reopened my file, but that message still doesn't want to come up for this exact file (it does however show up for other files). I looked everywhere for a way to apply this update to my entire document but I can't find anything. How can I solve this very simple task?
I've updated the latest version of Photoshop and its still giving me an error message when I want to use generative fill. Any way to resolve this?
Hi thereWhen I wish to save an image or a change in Photoshop 2025 e.g. a new layer I can't get permission. The computer is mine (MacBook Air 2020), the hard disk is mine, Creative Cloud acount is mine. I keep getting this notification in Danish, that I don't have access to edit the file. I never an in to this problem before. Thanks in advance.
I'm using Generative AI with the Distraction Removal tool. I am selecting the snowman in the center of my image to remove, and it is removing it but also distorting the entire outer edge of the image. The edge distortion also increases every time I adjust anything else (i.e. the lantern) How do I avoid this happening? Pics below:
Hi,In Photoshop/Photoshop Beta, I want to highlight the command "New Smart Object via Copy" in the Layer panel, same as I do for other commands. However, I can only find it under the Application Menues (Layer > Smart Objects > New Smart Object via Copy) and can't find it under "Keyboard Shortcuts and Menus > Panel Menus" panel.Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hello, I need to create a border on many (over a thousand) images of different pixel sizes. Most of the images are not square. The borders need to appear relatively proportional regardless of how big or small the image size is. Using an action that increases (relative) canvas size by percentage creates borders of the same proportion, but on images that are not square, the x and y borders are different sizes. (insert sad face here). Is there a way to do this in photoshop I am not aware of that works on non square images? There is an old post on this forum that asks this question, (https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/need-action-that-makes-an-equal-sized-border-for-images-with-different-sizes/td-p/11876979) and (https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/action-that-uses-a-percentage-of-image-size-in-pixel-dimensions/m-p/9897687#M174298) but the answers involve scripting and honestly I did not understand...
Latest version 22.1. I turn on neural filters and this error appears and then PS crashed. What's the matter?
Am using Zephyrus G14 and all versions of PS are slow, hang and ultimately crash - No matter how simple the file, or indeed just opening it. Have disabled GPU, with no effect. Is there anything that works?
