Photoshop

Recently ive been working on an animation in Photoshop and I've been copying and pasting objects into the next frame to speed up the process. It was pasting into the next frame, but now suddenly it keeps creating a new layer instead when I hit paste. And merging layers wont work because otherwise the video layer converts into a normal layer and clipping masks wont work either. I desperately need answers as soon as possible (before this Friday).[Title edited by moderator for clarity to include “in frames”]

i want to ask, i tryna make this type of design but its hard to search the layers, example im going to delete the mouth idk where is that in layer panel, can u give me the fastest way to find it?

I couldn't open or import any photos into my Photoshop. It is not showing any errors. it just stays as it is.I don't know what to do.... I am using the genuine paid version but I'm facing this issue... The worst part is no one is helping..

The quick export as PNG simply doesn't do anything, no dialog on export as either.   It seems that overlays are completely off. For instance, if I create a square and add a new layer that is 1 pixel smaller on each side they don't line up. You would expect them to sit on top with a 1 pixel bezel aropund teh square.Finally the tool just randomly locks up. This has never happened in the past. I have a Mac Pro with 32 GB, M2 Max. I do serious development on this machine. Have had to resort to an older Intel based iMac at times to get some stuff done.I do not have the same issues with the Beta but I use it less.This release appears to be way off.   [Moved from ‘Lightroom Classic Bugs’ to ‘Photoshop ecosystem Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules.]

Looking to replace my laptop and have been considering the Surface Pro 6 or 7. The one thing I really want to be able to do is edit on the screen with a pen. I think the Lenovo C920 would work but wonder if anyone has tried it on that machine. If there are any other models/brands I would appreciate knowing someone who has successfully used them. Hoping to have a few different models picked out so I can keep on the look out during Black Friday sales. 

Hello has anybody faced this issue, somehow during my work photoshop just hangs then corrupts the file im working on.1. All layers get some funny pattern as shown in the screenshot2. All the open files also get corrupted with the same pattern3. none is recoverable Its really annoying after doing a composition for 5 hours (first corrupted file), the current screenshot has like 6 peices on the same artboard, im really stressed. Someone kindly help with a solution or fix. I can't save 32 bit PNG images. Here are the methods I've used...1) No Alpha channel + Save As / PNG => 24 bit2) Alpha Channel + Save As / *** No PNG option ***3) No Alpha channel + Quick Export as PNG => 24 bit4) Alpha channel + Quick Export as PNG => 24 bit5) Alpha channel + Export As / PNG with Transparancy => 24 bit6) Alpha channel + Export As / PNG without Transparency => 24 bit7) No Alpha channel + Export As / PNG with Transparency => 24 bit

hi there...i am trying to make a animation in photoshop with sound. but each time i import audio in the time line and play no sound comes out but i see the adio is there

We recently upgraded to modern photoshop but I am having a problem with how the brushes are working. I want to create a gradient with more opacity in the center graduating to low opacity at the bounds of the brush. However, when I choose a soft general brush and set the hardness to 0%, opacity to 100%, and flow to 100% with the cursor set to "Normal Brush Tip" in preferences I get the following result which shows the resulting color extending beyond the brush outline. This gets progressively worse if I continue to click in the same spot. *Single Click* *Multiple Clicks* When I change the cursor to "Full Size Brush Tip" the resultant color gradient is too far within the bounds of the brush outline. When I click multiple times in the same spot it remains far beyond the bounds of the brush outline. *Single Click*  *Multiple Clicks*Ultimately I am using the stamp tool, and these brush behavior inhibits my accuracy.What can I do to create a soft gradient brush

In windows, I have photoshop set as the default app to open .dng files I want to open some .dng files in photoshop and use its 'file info' to view all the metadata.But my .dng files open in camera raw instead, and I have to go through another step to open in photoshop.I don't understand why this has to be a two step process, to open a .dng file in photoshop. Why are these opening up in ACR first? Any way to change this? thanks for any help or insight.

I'm getting an error that reads "Could not open filename because the file is already in use or was left open by another application." anytime I attempt to open a photoshop file on my main work PC. I have uninstalled everything Adobe I have installed and reinstalled just CC and Photoshop, but the problem persists.

I took a bunch of pictures today I wanted to post in an online forum. But Photoshop 25.0.0 insists on saving photos as JPEG 2000. The website I wanted to post it on, part of tapatalk.com, only wants good old .jpg. I had a frustrating session with Adobe's help, which had no answer and wanted $50. Do you have any thoughts? I have a lot of notes written in notebooks and I want to pull the text from these notebooks and remove the notebook background so I can put these hand written notes as PNG format into an app such as obsidian so it can be manipulated by css.When I try to use AI to remove the notebook papaer by removing backgrounds, it only removes the background behind the notebook and not the notebook paper itself.The goal is to extract only the text from the notebook as an image.I'm a novice to PS and searching only led me down how to manipulate documents. Which isn't really what I'm looking for.Please go easy on me, I'm very new to photoshop.

hello everyone,im hoping someone can help me , would really appreciate it. I am looking for ways to creating beautiful landscape lighting effects on my customers homes simulating night time and displaying for spotlight lighting fixtures casting beams on the homes pillars, columns , trees etc.  path light fixtures casting light , and inground light fixtures casting light and they are using a warm white 3000 kelvin colour temperature. if someone can provide me a step by step i would really appreciate someone working with me as i am learning adobe photoshop. I am using windows, and my system is a microsoft surface pro 11. many thanks. 

I cannot for the life of me get a precise path from a bitmap/pixel selection. I make a selection [object selection tool] (typical of a packshot with white background).I then go go path > make work path from selection.but the selection becomes awful, the curves become bended and any straight lines becomes curvy. Is there another way? 

How can I get quick selection back to the regular dotted line?

Hi I am on a PC using windows 11pro (but had the same issue on my preview pv on windows10).I have calibrated my 2 monitors with the SyderX Elite software and sensor and they each have their own colorprofile:My dell: Dell01my Wacom: Wacom Generic PnP-2-1 The problem is that photoshop can't seem to handle 2 different colorspaces at the same time.I have duplicated my photoshop window so that it shows on both screen. When I have selected the dell profile the colors are good on the dell but not on the wacom and the reverse is also true.It is very problematic because I need my 2 screens to check the colors and I use screen capture very often. This means that if I screencapture an image in photoshop on the wacom while photoshop is configured with the dell colorspace, the colors are off when I paste it again, even if I paste it in the same file on the wacom. I don't have this problem if I screencapture the UI or anything else. Is there a way to tell photoshop to use this co

How can I search for layers in Photoshop? Every "how-to" video shows a search bar at the top of the layers panel but I can't see that in Photoshop 2025.

Never seen this before, any ideas?  I do notice the new layer indents to the left of the adjument layers above. Usallly they have been flush.  Otherwise clueless, never had issue before, thanks. 

For some installation check I need to know where my UXP-Plugin is stored, because I need to read the manifest.json to get the version-number.On my PC, I found it at C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP\Plugins\External However, on other PCs (namely on a customer PC), this path is empty, but the Plugin is installed inC:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP\Plugins\External What are the rules for CC to decide on what place it should be installed?   

In the latest update, the ability to "Save As" a jpg is gone, for whatever reason. Now the only way to save a jpg from a PSD file is to us Export As. Even with quality set to high, it always exports the jpg as 72dpi, and there doesn't seem to be a way to specify what dpi you want the jpg to be saved at. Now every time I export a jpg, I have to open that jpg in Photoshop again and convert it to 300dpi, which is so much added time. Please tell me I'm missing something and this isn't just the way it is now!

I'm doing a graphic design and for some reason I keep getting extra white space around my photoshop artboard when exporting. I've tried everything but the issue persists. There's no extra content outside of the canvas and there's nothing to suggest the canvas is larger than the artboard itself.  Hi everyone,I'm currently using Adobe Photoshop, but I'm facing an issue where the toolbar is completely missing from my workspace. I've tried the following solutions, but none of them worked:1. Went to *Edit > Toolbar* and tried to customize settings.2. Checked *Preferences > Toolbar* to ensure everything is configured properly.3. Selected *Window > Workspace > Essentials (Default)* and tried other workspaces as well.4. Reset the toolbar to default settings by clicking *Restore Defaults* in the Customize Toolbar window.5. Closed and restarted Photoshop, also tried resetting Photoshop preferences by holding down *Ctrl+Alt+Shift* (Windows) while starting Photoshop.6. Checked for updates and ensured I'm running the latest version of Photoshop.Despite these attempts, the toolbar is still not appearing. Can anyone suggest additional troubleshooting steps or solutions to resolve this issue?Thank you for your help!
