Photoshop 2025 (26,3 release) - Saving PSD files takes forever!System: MacOS Sequioia 15.3Machine: MacStudio M1 Ultra maximum specs.Saving PSD files takes forever in photoshop. If the files hit around 1.9gb then it takes almost 2 minutes to save.Solution:In Adobe Photoshop, Preferences > File handling > Dissable compression of PSD files. Yes this solution works BUT.... There is a big BUT here.>>> One PSD file with compression: 1.2GB size. (takes 65 seconds to save)>>> Same file without compression: 1,9GB size. (takes 3 seconds to save)>>> This is 56% of file size increase if files are saved without compression. This is a HUGE drawback! Is there any other possible fixes for this?Perhaps Adobe forgot to optimize this part for the program?I think this is a result of bad coding.
Hello,I'm using window 11, a Huion Kamvas gt-191 display tablet and the standard pen it came with.Recently, after the most recent update to V26.3, my pen pressure is not responding. Every driver is upto date and the pen pressure works in other programs, but not photoshop. Shape Dynamics is on, but has the alert sign (seen below) and every point in the slider changes nothing about this lack of response. It functions in the tablet testing screen, krita and windows Ink (which is enabled), however I am unable to find out why via google why this may be the case. I am perplexed as to why it works in other programs, but not PS. My research has lead me to conclude that there is an issue in PS itself. It has been 6 days and I need my PS working the way I need it to for my job as an artist. Please, help me. Thank you.
As I scroll down the list of fonts in photoshop, my font choices start shaking and scrolling randomly. I can only scroll halfway down before it restarts me at the top. This means that half of my fonts are inaccessible. Also, when I click on a font folder to select a specific style, I am unable to move my mouse without that font folder closing. I'm using the latest version of photoshop on a 16" 2023 macbook pro (M2 max). Please fix asap. The font selection window has been glitchy for years. This should be a top priority.
Hello,I keep getting this error message "All ink colors must be specified" while adjusting ink curves in Duotone options in Photoshop 2023. What am I missing?
Hi,since moving from CS6 to 26.2 a week ago, and needing to ring Adobe each day to fix things, amongst many annoying things, the font keeps defaulting to Times New Roman, thin version and Justified Right, with the Ipsum dolar thing half on and off my page at left.set it to Arial regular and justified left, but then its back to the Times New Roman the next time. Its doing my head in.In CS6 I use Arial regular all the time and its always behaving itself, with a text cursor awaiting where I click it, and its justified left.despite Adobe tell call support and the the last techie saying it will now be ok, IT ISNT ! (as I predicted but he was adamant it would now be ok)I also HATE HATE HATE having to turn off view>extras for each and every image I open, or get pesky magenta mm boxes blocking my view. never had these in CS6 and don want them on by default. You will have to turn them off each image he said. I am opening many images a day here to work on. This is insane.also the black mm boxes
I have a small problemI need to know if a group is open or closedI put up a small script in uxpbut it tells me that the group is always open even if it is closed,this is the script. checkLayerGroupStatus() async function checkLayerGroupStatus() { const layers = app.activeDocument.layers; const groupName = "Color"; const layerGroup = layers.find(layer => layer.name === groupName && layer.layers); if (!layerGroup) { showAlert( `Level group "${groupName}" not found`); return; } const isOpen = layerGroup.visible; if (isOpen) { showAlert(`The level group "${groupName}" is open.`); } else { showAlert( `Level group "${groupName}" is closed.`); } }
I've been facing this error for the last month: Please check your internet connection and try again.Hence I haven't changed anything. But my internet works fine because other new tools like "Frame Tool" which requires the internet and also uses AI work fine. Things I have tried: * Restarting System.* Updating my Mac to the latest version.* Reinstalling Photoshop.* Updating Photoshop.* Checked all the firewall options. Please help me guys I'm stuck with this and it's been more than a month now.
Lately, whenever I try to save a PSD file as a GIF, PS just freezes. I have to use Task Manager to kill the PS process and start over. I finally have to give up and use a free on-line converter. I've made thousands of GIFs like this over the years I've used PS, and never had a problem until the last year or so. What's changed? I've tried fiddling with some settings but nothing has helped. Am I the only one with this problem?
Sometimes you expect intuitiveness and you're met with the counter. Sigh 😑 Let me guess. It's not possible yet.
macOS Sonoma. Dual screen scenario - second screen is acting as a touch screen tablet. Moved the Photoshop main window to the second screen with the new Move To buttons behind the green window button (top left). With the main PS window on the second screen, a lot of the modal dialogs display back on the main screen. Breaks the flow since you are first wondering why you aren't seeing the pop over in the right place. You end up manually moving small windows. Default should be follow the main window unless I've manually placed it elsewhere.
After creating multiple artboards in a PSD and exporting it through Artboards to PDF or file, Photoshop crashes with an error "There was an error opening your printer. Printing functions will not be available until you have selected a printer and reopened any documents."No clue why this happens suddenly. The issue gets resolved with complete Creative cloud uninstallation and reinstallation but don't want to do that anymore. Is anyone else facing this technical issue?
Hello Adobe Community,For quite some time now, I had a problems resizing image without getting it blurry. So, I had come up with the idea of comparing and testing it with an Adobe Photoshop 2019 version which my friend has on her windows computer. After testing, I figured that the Adobe Photoshop 2019 does the job, I can resize the image to the size I want without getting blurry, unlike with the current version they have. So, I am now in the looks to find an installer for the 2019 version because it would help me with my work. Don't get me wrong: I had tested with the current version of photoshop and had subscribed for it last time, but it didn't work. All the photos that I resize with whatever format was blurry. I don't mind subscribing again if it does work. But for now, everything is not and only Adobe Photoshop 2019 version does. I hope you can guide me where I can find Adobe Photoshop 2019 version? That would be a great help for me.Thanks in advance.
Still not fixed on 06-Feb-25 at 07:56 in UK.Affects PS 26.3.0 (also fails in 25.12.1 and 25.0) on Win11.I've logged out of all CC apps, uninstalled and re-installed PS 26.3.0 today but no change in result.
We recently started getting this error message when opening certain template that files we created in Photoshop. In this instance it seems that Photoshop could locate the background image which was in a smart object in the .psd. That image is from Adobe Stock, not that the problem is related to Adobe Stock. We were able to open the .psd in Illustrator to access parts of the file to recreate it. Has anyone else experience this or know the cause/fix? **We are using the most current Mac OS and version of Photoshop.
Pls I need the working email addresses of Adobe Photoshop Product Managers. I have innovative ideas in Photoshop, I would like to share with them.
Hi,I render a lot of products without background but with floor shadows, but they are all cut off at the ends.I would like to find a standardised workflow that allows me to make the shadows transparent towards the edge so that there are no hard shadow edges. It is not possible to reproduce this every time using the eraser. Is there a way to do this? Thanks!
Hi All,Alt + Backspace command for fill background not working for latest photoshop 26.3. I tried to change the keyboard shortcut menu but it doesn't take that command. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.
Hi I've been working on this photoshop script all day(testing and googleing) and can't find a solution so hoping someone smarter than me knows the anwers. I'm simply trying to scale text. I don't want the layer to move. I'm not sure why setting the value for textItem.size makes the layer move. I've tried manually moving back but still having issues and thinking I'm making this too complicated. When I get the textItem.size it returns 313.###### pt but it clearly says 128 pt in the GUI.When I update textItem.size the layer shifts to some random value.textItem.size = new UnitValue(128, 'pt'); Why is there not a simple way to update the text size from a photoshop script? What am I doing wrong? Thank you!
When saving a file (for example saving out multiple images from a PSD with 'save for web') it's often the case that I want to save over old files. When you do this, an alert warns you that the file already exsists and you have to options, 'cancel' or 'replace'. In previous versions of Photoshop, 'replace' used to be the default button, so that you could just hit 'return' on the keyboard and it would assume you want to 'replace'. So, when saving images out with 'save for web' for example, you could use your keystrokes to save for web (shift+opion+command+S) and then just hit the return/enter key to accept the 'save for web' dialogue's 'save...' option, then hit it again to select the 'Save Optimised' dialogue's 'replace' choice, then again when you get the 'Replace Files' dialogue to select 'replace'. A wordy desciption, but basically you could go, 'Shift+Option+Command+S', then 'enter, 'enter', enter' in quick succession, without having to use your mouse to click bu
Cannot install Photoshop Elements 2023 on new Windows 11 laptop. Error message: 183. Help suggestions did not solve the issue. What to do? Regards Mads
I am having an issue with the 'zoom to fit screen' facility in Photoshop 26.2.0 using Windows 11.Zoom tool + Fit Screen works. Double click on hand tool works. Ctrl+0 does not work. This is a new issue.I have tried resetting the Keyboard shortcuts preferences with View->Fit on Screen, deleting the existing entry (still set as Ctrl+0), pressing Ctrl+0 and I get 'The key pressed cannot be used as a shortcut'.Must be a bug, no?
Odd issue. Brand new laptop running Windows 11, fully updated. Installed CS6 Photoshop. Yes, I know, its outdated, etc. This is for a client of mine, she refuses to use CC. So, most of their files are on a Synology NAS and I have the NAS mapped as a network drive. If we try to open a file from the network share by double clicking, right click open with or drag to PS icon, PS will open, but the file does not. If we have PS open and go to File->Open, the file will open. If we put the file locally on the laptop, it will open fine with a double click.I'm thinking maybe its an issue with Win11 and some security setting that can be changed, but anyone else come across this? I've seen a couple of posts from others having the same issue on CC 2019 I think, but no answer.
In earlier version of photoshop i could hold down cmd+ctrl and select a whole path, then hold down cmd+ctrl+shift and select anywhere else on another path to add it to the selection. Now I can only add another path to the selection if i select a POINT on the path. This is very frustrating. I also used to be able to hold down cmd+ctrl+shift and drag the paths to duplicate them, and this also now longer works. So now I have copy/paste and then reselect all the paths again, which is doubly frustrating because of the way selecting multiple paths has changed. Have the keyboard shortcuts just changed or something? Is there something i can do to revert back to how it worked before? Thanks
Is there anyway to use custom graphics/icons as bullet points in bulleted lists in photoshop? I know how to change it from the dot, dash, circle and square. I don't want to use those 4 options. I want to be able to choose a custom graphic and use that for the bullet point. Is it possible? If it is, then how would I go about doing it? I know you can make the bulleted list, then place the graphic over the dots and make it look "almost" like it was typed that way, but it would be a much better solution if you could just choose a custom graphic to use as the bullet point instead of having to do double work and spend all that extra time doing it. I sure hope this can be done, it would be such a time saver for everyone who would like to do this.
Hi, latest Photoshop 26.3 I have always gone with default guideline colours since pshop 4.1....cyan. now when I move one it goes dark blue and against a dark background, its sort of vanishes. Someone has meddled, as no one would want that to happen. week 2 and everyday something else is broken that worked fine in CS6. Just where do we fix this. I get the feeling its a UIcolors.txt visit. as I had to, to recreate easy to read rulers. am I right ? and just what in there is the name of this pesky happening., active guides or something like that.
