Photoshop

Why sometimes when I am doing a focus stack merge in PhotoShop I get the following message?Warning: No pixels are more than 50% selected.  The selection edges will not be visibleWhat does this mean and how do I fix this? Thanks

The above pics are screenshots taken from my iMac. The left images show what my raw photo looks like as displayed in Lightroom. If I open the same photo, either through "Edit In Photoshop" using Lightroom, or in Adobe Camera Raw, the colors shift in a pretty significant way, as shown on the right. It especially flattens out and color shifts the bokeh effect in the background. Oddly enough, if I preview the raw photos in Adobe Bridge, they look exactly like they do if opened in Photoshop.I've tried playing around with different color profiles, both in Photoshop and my monitor. The problem does not go away.I've had very good luck in this forum thus far, so I'm hoping my streak continues. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.FWIW, I'm using an iMac 27" 2017, High Sierra 10.13.6. Photoshop is up to date.

I am not super savvy in photoshop and use Lightroom for 95% of adjustments. I recenltly purchased some photoshop overlays for sunbeams. However, when I apply them, the perimeter of the overlay is so obvious. What can I do to disolve the perimeter of the overlay?

I thought I'd share my (successful) experience reinstalling CS6 apps on a new computer running Windows 10.I am a CC subscriber but still use a few CS6 apps (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, PremierePro) when working with old files/projects. Having read many claims of difficulties reinstalling/activating CS6 I was very worried I would be unable to continue using them. The process turned out to be a LOT easier than I had expected!I used two ISO files (ISO images of the original install media) for the installation and Windows 10 "mounted" each as if they were DVD's and assigned a drive letter (G). The only glitch was when the installer expected the second "DVD" (ejected the first ISO image and mounted the second) to have the same drive letter and Windows had assigned H instead of G. Using Windows 10 "Disk Management" I changed the drive letter of the pseudo DVD drive to "G" and the installation then proceeded normally.For the activation I was prompted to log in to my Adobe account and enter a code

I updated Photoshop to 2020 and moved to a new PC, and this problem was immediately present.The default key pattern SHIFT+CTRL+Z for Redo or Step Forward doesn't work at all.All other Undo commands work fine.I went to Keyboard Shortcuts and the correct key pattern was listed for the command. I tried changing the command to CTRL+ALT+Z and it worked then. I tried programming it back to SHIFT+CTRL+Z, and it wouldn't even regonize the shift command. It would only input CTRL and Z. I couldn't change it back without resetting. This leads me to believe Photoshop is not recognizing my SHIFT commands at all, but I can still use Shift for other functions like caps.Please help! I create a lot of gif animations and never had an issue but now I can't export at all and it will just buffer. I have done everything. Updated my Mac computer to Sequoia, clear caches, uninstalled and reinstalled and it's the same issue.Idk what else to do or what is going on. Even with my Photoshop I've had to reupload all my keyboard shortcuts too as well as when I export photos it won't show the original file name but the layer name (ex: the file will save as "background" rather than "IMG_63673"

Most of the regular fonts I use are 'half italic'. They're not as tilted as the actual italics font but I can't seem to find a setting to stop it. Thanks!

The shadow is located on the lower right side of the face.I used a stamp, content-aware fill and some other  instruments but it didn't work out well.I think that I need to copy the skin texture and put it on the selected part with the shadow, but I don't know how to do it. What is your opinion?

I have the latest version of Photoshop 26.2 downloaded, but I am not seeing the parametric filters option. What is going on?

Photoshop V26 appears to be treating my monitor colour profiles very differently from V25.  With HDR enabled and identical settings in both versions, V25 displays colours correctly, but V26 casts a blue hue over the image and colour swatches.  If I disable HDR, then V26 appears to cast a pink hue over the transparency grid of an image, but the colours are otherwise unaffected.  Changing proof setups in V26 has no effect, except for Monitor RGB.  This results in the image looking like it does in V26 with HDR disabled, (pink hue to transparency grid only) but the colours in the colour and swatch windows retain the blue hue. V25 reproduces colours correctly with both HDR enabled or disabled.  Forcing V26 to use legacy colour management via the Windows compatibility settings resolves the issues, both with HDR enabled and disabled. The generative fill was very efficient 10 days ago but now the expansion is poorgenerative fil (select subject ) effeciency is now very poor it been okey 10 days ago. The select subject doesn't works well now.

Hi everyone!Does anyone know another plugin to have "Align and Distribute" in a separate window instead of in the option bar that doesn't only work in Rosetta mode?I've been using an old plugin from Toshiyuki Takahashi in the past but that plugin does only work in Rosetta mode... (for reference: https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/13665/align-and-distribute) It might be just me, but I don't find it very straight forward to align layers, having to switch to the move tool first and then work within that tiny space in the option bar not even showing ALL options at once having to open the three ••• dropdown menu for more...  to me it's not a very efficient way to work. That old plugin I found had everything nice and spread out in a separate window – very convenient!Sometimes I just don't know what the heck the Adobe team is thinking or doing. Thanks!

I think we need more recent brushes in photoshop. Very much needed!

In Photoshop, I am trying to change the colors of the charaters that I using. This feature is not working. am using version 26.2.0.I need help urgently. 

If you go to the print module (ctr+P or File > Print...) > Color Management and set Color Handling to "Photoshop Manages Colors" and choose "Relative" for the "Rendering Intent" the checkbox "Black Point Compensation" does not influence the preview of the print on the left. If you instead use the same checkbox with the same settings and paper profile in the soft proofing window (view > Proof Setup > Custom) it works as intended. The bug has been there for ages. And verified by me on multible Win10 systems and multible Photoshop Versions down to CS6. Operating System: Windows 10 x64 22H2 (Build 19045.5247)Photohop: newest CC (v25+) down to CS6 (v13.0)

Dell XPS 15 with i9 processor just can't handle the workload of PS, LR or LRc with all three installed. Can these programs be removed and re-uploaded only when I'm going to work in them? Thank you. I'm a novice. The gift of your time, expertise and insights is appreciated.

Hi,I am using Photoshop 25.1.0.  I am writing some software documentation for which I want to annotate screenshots by placing a number inside a bounding rectangle at various places in the screenshot.  In the sample below, I have done this in one place in the sample below with the number one.  I did this by drawing the rectangle first with the rectangle tool and then drawing the text with the horizontal type tool.  This resulted in the rectangle being on one layer and the text being on another layer.  Now I'd like to replicate this in various other locations for numbers two, three, etc.  With the rectangle and the text on separate layers, I can copy the rectangle to a new layer and then copy the text to a new layer.  I can then position the rectangle and the text on the new layers where I want them and then edit the text.  This seems very cumbersome,  I was hoping that if I merged the rectangle and text layers together, I could make this task

Hi,  swo i've been using photoshop for years and  years now (around 20 years)  and if i find an error i can usually work around it - but recently i have been getting the problem Could not update smart object files because of a disk error.  This only happens when i'm using one of my actions to update smart objects on one of my actions.  The error can occur at any point as the action is running, some times it works fine, some times not at all.  I dont know if its a problem with graphic card or not AMD Radeon 7900 GRE but its a pretty hefty graphics cart that i only purchased a few months back.  When the error happens the screen goes black, Radeon crashes then i get the error in photoshop.  i have updated all my scratch disk to all of my HDDs, Radeon Drivers are up to date one final thing - the action opens 9 files (which after updating then saves as a copy in jpg format and closed) , one at a time and uses a template f

I always use many open documentsfrom 3 to 10 documentsI need a script that immediately selects the first one as in the figure.I tried to make an action, but it takes into account the open documents,so when I create the action that has 3 open documents and then I want to use it when I have 6, it doesn't work.do you have any idea how to proceed

I want to throw a bunch of TIFFs inside a folder, create a new document, place an embedded linked smart object of the original TIFF, and change the filename.  Most of the relevant details are in the code.
