Photoshop

Hi!I have a fresh install of Photoshop (latest, 26.2.0) on a Windows 11 PC and Im trying to use the Flame filter. I do have the GPU activated in the preferences but the Fire filter doesnt render anything (not even a preview). No error messages.I do like this:1. Create a new layer (transparent) over the background2. Draw a path using the pen tool3. Apply the Fire filter.  Any ideas how to troubleshoot this?

after updating to the newest 26.2 version of photoshop ive been getting artifacts after adding a stroke effect to type and a different artifact problem when using generative AI

Entering a number into the resolution field on a new document can be problematic.  For instance, when I click on the field and type "150", often times, the "15" will appear and then disappear leaving only the "0".   Maybe I'm moving too fast?  Seems like it shouldn't be a difficult fix, yet it's been this way for at least 2 years.  I took a programming class in high school 30 years ago... Let me know if you need me to come in and look at the code.Thanks!

Issue printing from Photoshop vs Canon Professional Print & Layout app.A friend and I both have canon Printers (and use Red River Inkjet paper).Friend claimed printing via Photoshop made images very yellow & way off from monitor, but perfect match using Canon Pro print & Layout app.I just tested/compared & found the same. PShop image way off & yellow. Canon app -perfect match to monitor.He uses Pro 300 printer, I have Pro 1000. Both on Macs.Pshop 25.12.1 (can't use V.26 on my mac)I was VERY careful to use identical settings in both apps, same Profile, Media settings etc.Checking here to see if a common issue, and if so any fixes, etc. Thanks

I have an old Adobe Suite (Serial number) and would like to reactivate Adobe Photoshop. When starting the program, I get a message that the program is in use by the maximum of computers, although at least one of them I have disposed. I heard somewhere that Adobe can do a reset, but when I asked over the support chat I was referred here to the community.I also have an Adobe subscription with most programs that I pay monthly, but would like to get this old one going on a laptop also.

I cannot package a file because a linked smart object is missing. I've converted all my smart objects to layers, filtered out all the linked smart objects and deleted any that are linked, embedded all smart objects, and still cannot package the file. I've saved, closed, and reopened the file and photoshop will not tell me what smart object is missing. Please help 🙂

Is it possible to paste something on mutliple layers that you selected at once?

I want to resize a layer to this size 6000x4000But I didn't find anything in uxpDoes anyone have a piece of code I can use.

Hello there, I have found a number of posts about some installation errors and also one or two about error 21 "OS doesn't meet minimum requirement". I have tried numerous things: 1. Updating Windows 11 to the latest update (24H2);2. CC cleaner;3. Download CV Redist. versions;4. Re-download installer;5. Etc. But unfortunately nothing works. I have also checked the site with the minimum requirements and as far as I can tell my laptop (Windows Surface Pro 11,  Snapdragon X Elite, 16gb RAM) does meet the criterea. Does anybody else have the same issues with the Surface Pro 11 or is there something i'm missing? Thanks

I use Photoshop (23.4.1) with both Mac Studio Ultra and on PC too from Creative Cloud.One thing that bugs me though is when i use my mouse wheel to zoom in/out on an image.On the PC, its really smooth and goes in smaller increments but on my Mac, every tiny movement on the mouse wheel (IE, one small scroll on MX Master 3) makes the image increase much greater and becomes almost erratic if doing 2 or 3 semi turns of the wheel. For example, If working on a large image that displays at 33%, it can take a few turns of the mouse wheel to get to 100% on the PC and it does it smoothly with just the right amount of turns. Doing the same on Mac, the image goes wildly up in % and the same amount of turns on the mouse wheel can see 300%+ and is really hard to get it near 100% on the mouse wheel alone.I've found the same issue on various versions of PS so isn't just this latest update so is there a way or setting in Mac to slow down the zooming?

I am doing a photo project that involves outputting images 6 up on a template that is 41,800 x 29,860 pixels. The area available for the 6 images is 35,000 x 26,000: The images are scans that are either 6k or 8k sRGB and they need to land on the template at 100% (no resize, 1:1). Some of the images are vertical and some are horizontal. They should all be rotated to be vertical.  Each page needs to have a serial number but it would be best to be able to state what number to start with when running the script. And I need a flattened sRGB tif as the output. I tried Contact Sheet X and ran into a limit of 20000 pixels on the document size. I also tried to add my template to the templates folder as a background but it would not show up as a choice when running the script.  I tried Contact Sheet II but this has a limit of 29,000 and it also resized the images (made them bigger). And no tif output. The serial number could come from the Document Tit

Meus atalhos do teclado não funcionam no Photoshop. Todos os atalhos estão configurados corretamente na aba "Atalhos". Já desinstalei e instalei de novo o programa, já realizei as atualizações nescessárias, porém nem atalho funciona. 

Action, layers to file, saving on top of each other problem.I have hundreds of images, as png. Each image has 4 images. I divide them with a nice action as 4 different layers. I save with Layers to file, no problem here. When I run the action manually, there is no problem again. Although each image has a different name, it adds 1-2-3-4 to the end of the name of each image, although the 4 images in each image are separate.The image processor or batch saves the images on top of each other.The names of all the images are different, pay attention here. What is the problem?I tried a few scripts but I couldn't find a solution. I've been really struggling with this for 2 days, I've tried everything I can think of. I downloaded a script, wrote it myself, but strangely enough it didn't work. 🙂 I deleted the scs out of anger. Oh I'm having a nervous breakdown. 🙂 Please help me.I'm also getting a png 24 printout from here. There's no data loss, right? 

I have 1 TB worth of pictures on Dropbox which are not synced to my various computers because of the amount of space required.  Is there a way for Bridge or Photoshop to connect to the web files to view and/or edit them, without downloading them each time?

I'm photographing room interiors and creating panoramic shots by taking multiple shots from one vantage point then auto aligning the shots. This obviously creates severe fisheye which I've corrected with some success with the adaptive wide angle filter. However, the filter sometimes doesn't straighten out angles even when I draw a constraint. The contstraint bows along the curve and barely does anything. Any idea how to get the contraints to fix extreme fisheye?

I am making a font. I wrote the letters as paths and then made stroke outlines and turned the paths into shapes in illustrator. I exported the document to photoshop to make it easier. I want to save the letters as a new font. How do I do this?

Hi, I'm looking for a way to send or save a completed file from Photoshop directly to my Lightroom online catalog wtihout the additional steps of first saving it to my computer and then seperately dragging it into Lightroom to upload it, and then deleting the copy off of my computer.  It would be so much faster and more seemless to be able to complete the process this way, but I'm not sure if it is possible. For clarification, this is the lightroom CC (or whatever it is called, not Lightroom Classic) (I REALLLY wish they'd just call them something totally different, instead of both being Lightroom, but alas), and the image did not begin its life in Lightroom, so I'm not sending it back there after editing it Photoshop, these are files that were created from scratch in Photoshop from a blank page, that eventually I want to end up in my Lightroom catalog and am just trying to streamline this workflow. Many thanks to anyone who knows how to do this.

I want to go into the preset manager so that I can rearrange and manage my brushes more efficiently but the option is not available for me. 

Just upgraded to Photoshop 2025 on my new Macbook Pro (M2 Max running Sonoma 14.7) and can't get Luminar Neo plugin to work.   Luminar Neo works interfaces fine with Lightroom Classic and shows that the Photoshop plugin is installed, but doesn't appear on the Filter menu.

Hello so I made an Among Us parody song of a Mincraft parody song of Drowning by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and now I wanted to make a good thumbnail for it, The first one I made I tried to use flashy colors to captivate the audience's eye but it doesn't look good. For the second one I used the thumbnail of the original song and replaced the person being dragged by a diamond by an among us player. Then comes the question of how do I insert the title of the song on the thumbnail? I did one where putted the text very big and behind our player and on the other one I putted above it. My initial thought was that the one with the text above was better but thumbnails are very small on phones and maximising the space used on it could be benefical, Wich thumbnail do You think is better? Do You have an other idea for the thumbnail? Let me know, I'm very curious. Also is this the right community to post these kinds of discussions or is there an other place?

I am trying to move a motif on a layer on a specific measurement - attached example by 90cm on the 'Y' axis. Every time I type the measurement in the motif moves on some random measurement. I have used this command for years with no issues and now its not playing ball can anyone help? This is  Photoshop 23.3.2. Hoping somone can help me.
