I have been having this problem for a few months. I am using Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1 and Photoshop 2023 or Lightroom Classic. I have long used presets but now, after I save one, when I come back to it the next time, the saved preset does not retain any of the settings. I tried uninstalling Photoshop 2023, rebooting, then re-install Photoshop 2023. The presets still don't retain settings. I've also tried deleting my P5000 printer from the system settings, and then re-installing my Epson driver. Again, doesn't fix the problem. I also tried printing from Safari and made a preset in Safari and this one does work as it is supposed to. If I then switch back to Photoshop, the preset created while in Safari works properly in Photoshop. I tried one more time to create a preset while in Photoshop, but it still will not work.

One of the things I have noticied over using several Adobe apps over the years is the level of documentation between the apps. Having an extensive background in various database and OS software the developers for the most part provide comprehensive Release Notes and Changelogs with their apps. This allows the user to see what has changed and when. There is a myriad of reasons why this is important. However, this logic does not seem to apply to all Adobe Teams. In fact on of the Adobe Employee responded in one posting in this community group pointing to a "Summary" when asked about Release Notes. The request for Release Notes and Changelogs have been made a number of times, and have went unanswered. I came across a good article today describing the purpose and differences between them. Can only hope Photoshop management takes a minute to review the article.https://featureos.app/blog/best-changelog-and-release-notes-software-featureos
Good afternoon, I would like to report a strange behaviour in Photoshop. The “Discover” icon (the lightbulb with the blue glowing ring in the top-right corner of the interface) keeps appearing with a highlight effect and overlays other windows inside the application. Here is what happens in more detail: the lightbulb effect remains visible on top of several Photoshop dialogs/windows,the highlight reappears repeatedly, even after I click the lightbulb and close the panel,it becomes quite distracting and feels like it is “stuck” on top of the interface, as if it were a permanent overlay. I have tried clicking the icon, opening and closing the help/discover panel and then continuing to work, but the effect keeps coming back. As far as I understand, this highlight should only appear occasionally to indicate tips or new features, and not continuously or on top of other windows. This behaviour disrupts the workflow and seems to be a visual bug. Thank you i
This icon keeps glowing even when I hide the whole bar, I keep looking for options to disable it but haven’t been lucky
[BUG / REGRESSION] Selective Color degraded after latest updateHello,After the latest Photoshop update, the Selective Color adjustment has significantly degraded in terms of precision and usability.Previously, this tool allowed for extremely fine and controlled color corrections, especially when working in specific color ranges (Reds, Neutrals, Blacks, etc.). It was one of the most reliable tools for subtle, professional-grade color grading. After the update, I am experiencing the following issues:• reduced precision in color adjustments• less predictable behavior of sliders• difficulty isolating specific color ranges• overall loss of control compared to previous versionsAs a professional photographer, this tool was a core part of my workflow. In its current state, it is no longer reliable for high-end color work. This is not a minor change — it fundamentally affects color grading quality and consistency. Please confirm whether this is:• an intentional change• a known bug• or a regressio
After update, the action is just one point in the history.I can't see all the steps.Often, I only need to undo one or a few steps, not the entire action. How can I change this?
Every time Adobe launches a new update we seem to continually go through this phase of crashes, instability and losing features regardless of whether it’s Photoshop, Lightroom or Premiere Pro.As someone who has been with Adobe from the beginning, I’m becoming increasingly frustrated and annoyed that as a paying customer I am being supplied with a product that does not work as described. Looking at the multitude of comments across multiple forums, it’s obvious that the latest Photoshop update was rushed through without being tested properly. If it has been then might I suggest Adobe find itself some new software developers. The way Adobe behaves, it appears the company couldn’t care about the opinions of it’s customers. We pay a substantial amount of money every year to use the products yet are continually without fail let down by the quality of the product. Perhaps if customers start looking at the legalities of supplying a product that is not fit for purpose and start to make refu
Dear all,I have a question regarding cropping an image with complex lines. The image is in a High Resolution PNG. The design needs to be printed on one side of an enamel mug. I tried cropping it using the Magic Wand tool via Help > Adobe Help > Remove Background, but this is not precise enough. The client does not have any image other than PNG or JPEG.I want to crop it using channels; can anyone give me a tip on how to do this as accurately as possible?I have attached the PNG as an attachment.
Something really strange is going on. My gradients look fine when I'm editing, but when I export, it's only showing the leftmost color. I've attached images.
In last version, when ran attached script (uploaded as text because would not permit ATN version) , when completed filename on window with file showed no asterisk indicating no unsaved changes. However, with 27.6.0, after the script completes, an asterisk is shown (example attached). Nothing was changed after the script ran. Checking Bridge, the complete file is saved as expected. When I attempt to save the image, sometimes I get no response indicating nothing new to save. Other times, I get a prompt to replace or duplicate the saved file. This all worked in the last version. I have used the script over 100 times with the prior version (which incidentally, was current until 27.6 arrived).Am running mac0S 26.4.1, current. Doug
I updated to Photoshop version 22.5.0 and just noticed that File > Export > Export As has a majorly dumbed down JPEG quality menu. Photoshop is for professionals. Having accurate control over quality is import for optimizing to a small file size. Giving a few choices (and not even telling us what quality they are) is not acceptable for a pro app. I know for now I can go into prefs and use the legacy version, but please bring back the quality percentage! I also posted this on the Photoshop Feedback website which I think is a more appropriate place to discuss this, but wanted to see what other people think. It's probably best to comment there so Adobe knows. Photoshop Feedback: Bring back JPEG quality percentage to Export As dialog {Moderator edited title - PS-71391}
After the 27.5 update, when Photoshop is closed, it stays active in RAM. The same applies to opening and closing individual documents. I have 32 GB of RAM, and if I open several documents—for example, using up 16 GB of RAM—and then close one of them, the consumed memory does not decrease; it remains in memory. It gets to the point where, after an hour of work, RAM usage reaches 29–30 GB. And after closing Photoshop, the memory is not freed until you manually terminate the process in Task Manager. Also, until you end the process via Task Manager, you cannot restart Photoshop. I recorded this issue on video, which can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/j0nvMCQoCis System Info: Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.5.0 20260323.r.13 dee573e x64 (final, Release)Number of Launches: 165Operating System: Windows 11 64-bitVersion: 11 or greater 10.0.26200.8246System architecture: AMD CPU Family:15, Model:1, Stepping:0, AVX2, HyperThreadingPhysical processor count: 6Logical processor count: 12Processor sp
Love the new turntable feature. But it feels like its missing a feature to export to AE.That would be very cool!
I have an image that is A3 size. Whenever I scale down the image, so I can reveal a white border, I notice they are not equal on all sides (as in the longest and shortest sides are not the same width). Wether I do this by transforming holding ALT, or alone and centring after, I never have an equal border on all sides. If I change the canvas size (with relative ticked) this makes the entire image larger than A3, which I do not want. How can I scale down my image and add a border, so that the total image size is A3 and the border is an equal width on all sides? Thanks - N4A
There was a similar (solved) post six months ago, but it provided direct links for the Mac version.https://prodesigntools.com/community/questions-712/photoshop-12-0-4-update-for-photoshop-cs5-there-was-an-error-downloading-this-update-1183081 I’m hoping for the same for Photoshop CS5 Windows x64.I have both the download link and the original discs (with serial numbers) for Production Premium CS5. They work great, except I get this from the Adobe Application Manager when I attempt to update to Photoshop CS5 12.0.4: “There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.”Same result for Illustrator, Camera Raw, and Bridge updates. Is there any way to get the update links for the CS5 Windows version?
I am trying to create a paper cutout effect in Photoshop. I use the polygon lasso tool and and click the layer mask button and nothing happens at all. It creates a mask but does not "remove" all the layers underneath it making it impossible to use? im not sure how to provide a video because im not sure where to post it.
I would like to show the actions listed in the Action panel with different colors similar to what I am able to achieve with menu items. I believe this used to be possible, but I can not find out how to achieve this feature. I do not want the actions displayed in button mode. I want to see the list as shown in the figure below.
This is needed urgently! The skin smoothing filter should have been designed to include the neck and chest area from the beginning. It's useless without it! Who doesn't have a neck???? Once can't apply skin smoothing to the face alone and leave put the neck. Especially for women, older people. Arms would be nice to include as well. You guys need to design these filters holistically. Please add at least the neck and chest areas to the skin smoothing filter as soon as possible. It's been asked here before. How can you ignore this? Your response is much appreciated. Thank you!
This has been happening for a while, used to happen with Beta version and still happens on the last stable release too. Sometimes, after using Remove Tool for a while, it starts “freezing” like this, I will select what I want to remove and when I hit Ok, it doesn’t load, it doesn’t do anything.Video recording: https://buzzheavier.com/kil2r1x188v4 Then after that, If I close Photoshop (even If continue using other tools), it will freeze and not respond anymore, I have to force quit. I’m running Photoshop 27.6.0 - MacOS M4 - Tahoe
Please help me with an issue.I specialize in photographing natural materials such as marble, granite, and wood veneer (I shoot flat surfaces, moving evenly across them). I create panoramic images, and from time to time I encounter a recurring problem. Photoshop stitches panoramas from my photos, but sometimes the result is not usable. It doesn’t happen often, but it does occur. I will provide several examples of the panoramas Photoshop produces and explain what exactly is wrong with them.In my workflow, I use Photoshop on both Windows workstations and Mac. On Mac, this issue happens rarely, but it still occurs. On Windows, it happens more frequently. In the past, there were times when Photoshop on both Windows and Mac would consistently produce panoramas with visible banding/seams. Reinstalling Photoshop, restarting the machines, installing updates, or even changing software versions did not help (this was tested simultaneously on two Windows computers and one Mac). Then, after two or
Photoshop 23.2.1 Mac When you open a webp file and try to Export it with the "Save for Web (Legacy)" command, I get this error. "Could not complete this operation. an error occurred while reading the endian type" fyi The 'save as' option works.
Will Adobe ever smarten up and make Content Credentials optional - or at least fix it so that it actually WORKS? I created a piece of digital art and PS insists on labelling it as “AI-generated.” Now, I’m all for awareness of AI slop in cultural artefacts, BUT….PS is also stating that it was created with Adobe Firefly, which it was NOT (I refuse to use Firefly for ethical reasons). The art in question was created using a mockup that employs Smart Objects. That’s it. No fabricated unicorn-centaur hybrids riding a chariot into the night sky against the moon or any crap like that.Is Adobe AT LEAST going to fix this kind of thing so that it’s not misrepresenting my work to the world?
