As updated version of Ps integrated with AI tool, in my view system upgrade also necessary. Usually how often you change your computer?
Moving from one app to the other in the Adobe ecosystem, you use the Shift key to proportionally scale items in Illustrator, InDesign and even Premiere… yet Photoshop decides to now change the shift key to scale unproportionally… Really? Who’s brilliant idea was that? Even Microsloth Word uses the shift key to scale proportionally. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this?
In Photoshop v 27.4 (and even in earlier late 2025-early 2026 versions) there is a bug where, whenever I create a mask and enter the Selection menu, the Select Subject tool selects the borders of the object correctly but displaces it, making the end result something completely different than what was intended. Original image, no selectionSelect Subject result I have tried different settings, including using the Cloud and the device to select, and they all arrive to the same result. This didn’t happen in earlier versions of the software.
Do we know if there is (or if it will be patched in) to switch to the Legacy version of File>Open. The new version opens a new UI box where I now have to press another button to access the files on my local machine. This is the kind of UX change that should always be optional. I have seen this with all software recently where they are adding 'Home' screens and extra steps to open or save files. Be great if someone from Adobe could comment on if this will be adapted to allow for legacy use case.
The current "Recent Files" implementation in Photoshop and Illustrator follows a rigid "all-or-nothing" logic. Professional users need the ability to curate this list to maintain a focused, clean, and secure workspace. This isn't just about privacy; it's about removing "workflow noise"—files opened for quick edits, assets used once, or outdated versions that clutter the dashboard and slow down navigation. The Problem: Currently, the "Recent Files" list is a chronological log rather than a managed workspace. This leads to several issues: Workflow Clutter: Opening a dozen small assets for a quick task pushes important, long-term projects off the list. Version Control Confusion: Multiple iterations of the same file appear as identical thumbnails, leading to accidental openings of the wrong version. Privacy & NDA Risks: In screen-sharing or over-the-shoulder client sessions, sensitive or unrelated projects are exposed with no way to hide them without wiping the entire history. Non
May not be consistently reproducible but photoshop creates artifacts at the bottom and right side of the canvas after scaling an image inside the canvas, giving the impression that other objects on the canvas are extending outside/inside its boundary.Steps where this occurred: Create a new document at 240 x 240 pixels.Create a square block 24x24px to use as a means of setting guides on each side of the canvas.Drag an image of larger scale onto the canvas and then scale it down to fit.Zoom in, then zoom out to 100%. Lines appear at bottom and right of image after zooming to 100% using the menu to select.
I've noticed that the Remove Background tool in the latest versions of Photoshop is behaving differently compared to older releases. In my workflow, I frequently composite students who missed the group photo. For subjects photographed against a clean background, the tool still works perfectly. However, when there are other people behind the subject, the detection quality has dropped significantly. Even when I carefully pre-select or crop the subject area, Photoshop now includes parts of the people in the background. Previously, it would isolate only the main subject (head and torso) much more accurately. My typical process is:Place the student photo on top of the original group photo Roughly crop the subject area (usually a rectangle around the person) Use Remove BackgroundBefore, the result was clean. Now, it often grabs fragments of background people, even when they are partially outside the intended selection.Has anyone else experienced this change in behavior in recent versions? Is the
I recently moved from CS4 to the latest Creative Cloud. One thing I can’t work out is how to select the corner or edge to scale from when doing Transform? The grid in the toolbar is always greyed out - can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
I can work around this issue which started several years ago, but it's still annoying. I do not have this issue with .psd or .tiff files. Properties for all .jpg files show "unknown application". Navigating to link .exe file does not work. Right click "open with" shows a photoshop.exe in the available app list (not a PS logo); but that doesn't work either. Images will open with MS Photos app, so files seem to be OK. I can drag and drop a .jpg into Photoshop as well. I can place them in InDesign. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest PS. I have shut down PC, not just restart. I have deleted preference folders in appsdata\roaming for old versions of PS. One note: the "open with" list shows a photoshopelementseditor.exe, but the Elements app is long gone and I can't find that .exe. Like I wrote, there's a workaround, but I would certainly like to just double click and have Photoshop appear as it should.
Hey everyone! So the problem is that despite everything in brush settings should be correct (pen control enabled) for some reason PS keep setting "always use pressure for opacity" and "always use pressure for size" buttons ONIt's always turning on with brushes that have this little brush icon in right corner and then just keep working no metter I change brush with no icon. Please help me, idk if it's a bug or I'm doing something wrong 😞
Hi,does anyone know how to contact support, but not through the virtual assistant? I'd like to reset devices (which I no longer have) where I have old CS5 software installed. I know such a reset is possible, but it has to be done by a human. Does anyone have an idea how to get through to support?RegardsD
Is there any way to enlarge the Bezier anchor points in this dialog?I find the size of the points awfully small: especially on a high-res display.I looked around for any options, along the line of those found in Illustrator Preferences (for anchoir points) to no avail?I understand one can "click" on the image to "move" the handles but that's less of an elegant solution.I have the same criticism for all Bezier tools in Photoshop... Too small for comfort. InDesign is the worst...
As some of you may know, when you try to select an anchor point in Photoshop, it sometimes either misses the click or doesn’t select at all, which can be really frustrating. I wish the anchor points could be scaled up in Photoshop, just like they can be in Illustrator. Please upvote my post so we can see this feature in Photoshop one day!
I’m working in Lab Color mode and I’m trying to isolate the A and B channels while completely removing the L channel. I also don’t want to keep the combined Lab channel. What I want to achieve is to keep only the A + B data (color without luminance), turn that into a visible image, and be able to export/save it to JPEG/PNG/TIFF.So far, copy, paste methods don’t give me the result I’m looking for, as the image becomes black and white, and I understand that A and B aren’t standalone image channels in the usual sense. Is there a way to do this properly or a workaround that would allow me to visualize and export only the A and B information?
I lost all the work I did over the entire day even though I was hitting Cmd+S regularly and still had the ability to work it never saved anything. Then I lost complete control and had to force quit. I lost everything. There was no auto recovery, no saved data. Nothing. This is devastating. I will most likely loose this job because of this! Where’s the temporary files? How can I regain SOMETHING????
Lost all photoshop files. Cannot find them either in my cloud or within my adobe account.
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2628101I am having an issue with displaying layer overlay, as I am working on a WIN10, PS CC machine, but I am based in Belgium (and using azerty keyboard) and therefor, I cannot reach the \ shortcut. For me, that is ALT GR+<, which PS does not recognize. It is driving me crazy! I have read articles and understand the menu shortcut is hidden (that is why I have just spent the last hour searching for it in vain, before I found this article). I have also had to change "change brush size" in order to use my wacom intuos pro tablet some years ago (from "[" or "{" and "]" or "}" to "(" and ")". Does someone know how I can display the mask overlay (in ruby red, as Adobe calls it) for my machine? Reading the above, I don't fancy changing my keyboard just for PS and having to change it afterwards every time, as I often switch between browsing, emails, PS and LR. My question is thus : Make the backslash key for showing/hiding t
I need help with exporting in Photoshop Web. This pop-up dialog comes up: Your document was exported but its Content Credentials couldn't be published or attached. I used the generative upscale on the image of the property but I didn’t like it so I deleted it and when I exported, it won’t let me and it shows the pop-up.
there is a lightbulb icon on the top right corner of photoshop containing tutorials etc. but the symbol itself has an animation on top of it that is really annoying and I can’t get rid of it. I know it shouldn’t annoy me as much as it does, but whatever I try, it won’t stop. On top of that when I minimize Photoshop under MacOS this animation is actually like a separate program layered on top of photoshop which gets SEPARATELY minimized. Please, does anybody know how to get rid of this?I use Photoshop 27.4.0
Hi there, I have an image of a bride wearing some shoes and need to make the shoes look as though they have silver rhinestones on them. Could anybody help me how to do this please? It needs to be high res as it will be the main image on a roller banner. Any help greatly appreciated as I am an absolute novice when it comes to Photoshop. Thankyou
I am trying to translate some jsx scripts I have to use the C# interop and I can’t seem to find an example of how to use the Document.ResizeCanvas function. In jsx there is a UnitValue object so you can specify the units to use. But the interop doesn’t seem to define this object. How do I make sure it is using px, or whatever unit type I want to use?
I'm running PS2025 on an M1 Mac OS Sequioa 15.5 and I've been trying to get 65 images to autoblend without leaving blurred artifacts behind. I grew frustrated with PS not being able to produce suitable images from the auto blend method earlier this year before the price hike and I downloaded a trial software that was able to generate a flawless focus stacked image with no blurred artifacts left behind. My concern is that focus stacking has been a part of PS for a while now and is still very subpar at best. Are there any planned upgrades to this feature? We can remove people & wires, get a near perfect mask in great detail, generate fictional creations that didn't exist in real time at the point of capture using Artificial Intelligence. However, the algorithm to produce a clean focus stacked image suffers. I simply would love to know if work is being done to fix the slop that Adobe Focus Stacking genrates and when can we expect to see this implemented? I didn't fuss to much with the
I am working with Photoshop desktop version 27.4.0 on a Windows 11 computer. I was watching a class on channels that said to turn off the Show Channels in Color in the Preferences/Interface. When I opened the histogram panel per their instructions, it was gray. I have not had it open for a while to the preferences setting may have been a coincidence. The Image mode is RGB, the Channels in the histogram panel is set to RGB. I have reset the histogram panel. I have toggled through all of the hamburger flyout view options in the histogram panel. Show channels in color is checked in that same hamburger menu. I have tried toggling that Show Channels in Color on and off. The computer is using the GPU and it indicates the correct graphics card. The histogram is gray when I open another image or when I create a new one and paint. I have double clicked within the panel to reset it. I made sure that both Windows and the graphics drivers are up to date. Every time I have rebooted Photoshop, the h
I’ve encountered an issue with Photoshop version 27.4.0. At work, I frequently used the "Copy SVG" feature to copy various images into Figma—it was very convenient. After reinstalling Windows, this feature stopped working, even though it still works flawlessly on my work Mac.When I try to copy an image as SVG, I get this output instead of the actual graphic: <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="1890px" height="1417px"><image x="0px" y="0px" width="1890px" height="1417px" xlink:href="data:img/png;base64," /></svg>
