I was working on a psd file and I was able to open it just fine on 2024 Photoshop but when I got the new 2025 Photoshop I could no longer open the file. When I tried to open it a popup would come up saying that the file is not able to open and I had to restart photoshop. Not sure what the problem is.
Used to be able to click on a layer effect applied to the layer & create layers from the effect. I am now getting an error message when I try to do this. Layer is NOT a smart object & isn’t locked. Running PS version 26.11.0
Adobe needs to fix the UI scaling in Photoshop. The Adobe ecosystem has different scaling for each and every app. Some work on high end Mac monitors - some do not. Photoshop is an epic failure whereby the font size and icon sizes are miniscule. It is getting hard and harder to work in this app as the sizes are so offensively small. And PLEASE do not tell me to scale my monitor's resolution each and every time I want to use Photoshop - this mandates that after every session I have to manually re-set my desktop. This is NOT a workable solution. How is it that Illustrator can scale properly, ditto Bridge but Photoshop is a nightmare and everything is micro size. Please Adobe provide a fix this!!!!!!! It's been going on way too long!!!!!!!!!! Photoshop 26.1.0Sonoma 14.7.2Apple Studio Display 2560x1440 (default)
The software seems to be good...but the tech support is stupid. Now I am either stupid ..or I dont see it... But how does someone delete a file from photoshop? Like delete the entire project, not just undo, undo undo.
The logo in the Header at the top of every page on my sister's website is actually a 800 x 427 px PNG, but was resized in the page builder by the original developer to 275 x 147 px, which is the size it is being displayed at. The unscaled PNG image is here. (I'm no longer in contact with that developer).I want to create a smaller (116px high) version of the logo.If I insert the PNG logo that is in the header into a webpage and then scale it down in the page builder to the dimensions I want, it looks great, as shown on the test page here.If I create a logo of same height by creating a 427px high PNG from the original EPS (Logo.eps, which I've attached to this post), upload it to here and then scale it in the page builder to have a height of 116px, then it looks better still, as shown on the same test page – which proves there's nothing wrong with the EPS file I’m working form. But if I try to create a PNG from the EPS with the dimensions I actually want (116px high) and upload that to a
I downloaded an image from the internet. It downloaded with an image resolution of 72 dpi. I need to export the image after placing my image on an indesign file for press printing at 300dpi. So if i edit the image with photoshop and put the resolution at 300dpi with ‘preserve details 2.0’ will this genuinely increase my image resolution size and not mess while printing?
Hi, I am using Adobe Creative Cloud which includes Photoshop 21.2.12 Release. I find this guide https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/neural-filters.html But in my photoshop, there is no Neural Filter, see below: So, how to get it. It seems that I need to download it but I cannot find detailed instructions on that. Thank you very much.
Hii,My name is Soumitra Dutta, Oxford based photographer, I’m running into some color profile issues on my USA setup, and I’m not sure what’s causing them. For those who’ve dealt with this before, what would you suggest checking? Any tips would be really appreciated.”
Current Generative fill is a breakthrough, but can you make it even more advanced? Here's what I mean. Now we just add a text prompt and a new object appears. What if we need to match an image + a certain object from another image? Not an abstract hat, glasses, watch, car, etc., but the real ones? So, the advanced mode should make the following steps in 1 click:match the scale, perspective, colors & lighting for a realistic composite. Output: a layer with a mask (in case we need to make some manual adjustments).
Photoshop crashes after launch start. I use this for work and have already lost out on a lot of wage because of this! I've tried all updates restarts, I have enough storage and latest iPad update too. Ive heard this happened before and took a few weeks to fix. All my clients work is on this so I can't afford to not be able to use it. ipad 10.5 ios 17.7.10
I am starting to get real frustrated with Adobe. I don't want to ever save to the adobe cloud, there are much better cloud options. I have set the default to save locally but it seems with the last upgrade it started saving to the cloud again. I once again set the default to save locally but I still get a notifier that I am out of cloud storage. I DON'T WANT CLOUD STORAGEI DONT WANT NOTIFIERS REGARDING CLOUD STORAGEI DO WANT EVERYTHING REGARDING ADOBE CLOUD TURNED OFF How do I do this? This is really blatent upselling. We pay a lot of money for your services the least you can do is respect our intelligence.
I am writing to report an issue with my Adobe Photoshop account. I currently have an active premium membership, but I am being incorrectly blocked from using the generative AI features. When I try to use a feature like Generative Fill, I receive an error message that says:"Complementary generations used. Your complementary generations for this premium feature have been used. To keep using this feature, upgrade to a plan with premium feature access."This message is incorrect because I am already a premium member and should have access to these features as part of my subscription. This error is preventing me from using the tools I am paying for and is disrupting my workflow. Please investigate my account to resolve this error and restore my access to all premium generative features.
Hi,Please help me! I use save actions for files for 4 years now without issues and lately I installed newest Photoshop. First 2 actions were fine but then a problem occured. When I create "Save as" action with high resolution and PSB formats, Photoshop saves filename of currently saved image in action script. And then, this action always overwrites next files on that one file. I tried many times to find solution and repeat recording actions again and it seems that this is random - sometimes it doesn't add filename at the end of action script, but more often it does. And I never know. And then I loose my work. I need your help please.
Hi!I have had the hardest time downloading files from shutterstock/adobe stock and opening them up in illustrator to find they are "9-slice scale images." I don’t know much about these I guess? They are images on a transparent background, but when the background is removed the image changes completely and no longer have the same effects. When I try to move the file from Illustrator to photoshop as a smart object the transparent background comes with it. If I try to remove it there the same thing happens. I'm sure there is an easy way around this but I'm kind of lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I'm working with Photoshop Creative Cloud v 26.9 on a MacBook Pro with Sequoia 15.5. I purchased a plugin from Evato for PS and downloaded it along with the License Certificate. When I follow the install instructions I get into the Creative Cloud App and get a message saying I have to purchase the plug-in.... which I'm not inclined to do BECAUSE I ALREADY PURCHASED IT!!How do I get Creative Cloud to accept my Item Purchase Code from the 3rd party?
So, Intel Arc and Adobe Photoshop… It’s ugly 🫡 When I open a simple file in Photoshop 27.3, my CPU is nuked when doing simple things (like moving a layer)… PS is laggy, hard to use and quickly becomes a headache. Here’s what I can tell and my debug process so far : SysInfo is attached. I’ll come back to this later GPU compatibility says that everything is compatible I’ve unplugged my second monitor : no results. I checked, unchecked, re-checked “use GPU” or any settings in the Performance menu : no results. Photoshop was re-installed many times without keeping any settings / cache. No results. On the SysInfo file, you can clearly see where the problem is : Composite Core GPU (comp_core_gpu): on Composite Core Threads (MultithreadedCompositing): on Composite Core UI (CompositingDocumentTabUI): off Composite Core Feature Prefs (CompCoreFeaturePrefs): offAnd it describes the bug pretty well. Mooving the canva / a layer is a pain in the *ss. But using the quick selection uses the GPU.
I made some social media logos awhile back and saved the session with each logo on it’s on layer.I’m doing another project and wanted to use the same logos, but with a different color on the new project. These are circles with the logo etched out of the middle. When I select a portion of the logo and click on similar, it selects the circle as a whole, but I can’t get it to deselect the middle, so when I try to bucket fill, it just gives me a circle. Even if I do the object selection tool, it does the same thing.I’m self-taught and just learn things as needed, and forget them just as quickly, so this could be something super simple. I just don’t want to have to recreate these again. Any help would be appreciated.
I would like to be able to make a really good high-quality selection of an object by identifying it by name. I can do this with various machine learning nodes for awhile now in ComfyUI. Even with the Quick Selection tool it can be time-consuming to make good selections. The Select Subject and Select Sky modes work pretty well (the former better than the latter). It would be great to say "Select the dog in the bottom left" and then Remove it using the Remove button

Hi everyone,After the latest Photoshop update, I have been experiencing frequent crashes and significant performance slowdowns, particularly when working with larger files or using AI-based features like Generative Fill. The app freezes and closes unexpectedly, and navigation becomes slow even on simpler tasks.Has anyone else encountered this issue, and is there a known fix or workaround?
Trust me when I say I've tried EVERYTHING. This includes:clean installing Windows 11installing the latest studio driversinstalling older/factory driversusing Creative Cloud Removal Tool and reinstalling Photoshopincreasing the Performance settings to max (RAM usage, cache levels etc)laptop's cooling is perfect - vapor chamber heatsink, new thermal paste, doesn't get hot or throttleWindows performance modeturning off hardware acceleration (not a real fix) For reference: Intel i9-13900H, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD (7000mb/s, brand new), Nvidia 3500 Ada 12GB All of these only for Photoshop to run like a turtle. This is system wide - brush is laggy (it's not the smoothing setting), selections are laggy, creating shapes is laggy, scrolling/zooming is laggy etc. I have a PC with almost the same specs and same settings, and Photoshop runs fine. No issues there.
Many of the fonts that aren’t rendering appear to be non-Latin alphabets, but others, like Hoefler Text, don’t have anything “unusual” about them. Many of them are Apple system fonts so I can’t just go removing them. The fonts render correctly in Font Book. And there are no errors when I verify them. I can’t figure out why they’re not working in Photoshop. Help?
The message is 'sorry an error occurred' 'Photoshop has encountered a problem and needs to close'. It then closes down. I updated to the latest version and still happening. Nothing wrong with the files, I have opened them many times before. Using latest version 27 in Windows
Problem / Current Behavior:Currently, when using the Object Selection Tool's "Select Subject" feature, Photoshop recalculates the subject selection every time the tool is applied or re-activated on a layer. This occurs even if the layer’s pixel data has not been modified since the last calculation. This results in redundant processing time and workflow interruption, as the user must wait for the AI to re-analyze static data.Proposed Solution / Desired Behavior:Photoshop should cache the "Select Subject" calculation data for a specific layer in temporary memory. IF the layer is untouched (no pixel or mask modifications): The tool should instantly recall the previous subject selection without re-processing. IF the layer is modified: The cache is cleared, and the subject is re-calculated as normal. Benefit: Performance: Eliminates unnecessary wait times for re-analysis (especially on high-res files or when using Cloud processing). Workflow: Allows for a snappier, more responsive exper
Could you please tell me some good computer systems or graphics workstations that are the most compatible with Photoshop and Illustrator? Starting at the lowest price? I am being told that my system can't handle Photoshop. Thank you.
