I tried 'Generative upscale' which is a third party feature. Firstly, it didn’t work at all. Secondly, it broke Photoshop, which now crashes on creating a new file. No choice but to uninstall, reinstall, and never use this feature again - at least, until it's been integrated as a safe Adobe feature and not this third party trash. For the record, generative upscale would be extremely useful if it worked!

I am working on a project and have ran into a couple of issues. See below:How to edit an old image to make it focused when it’s blurry? How to edit an image to remove a braid that is caught between a person’s glasses? I don’t want to move the braid because it will be obvious that something is missing. Just trying to make a clean edit. 

PS has just updated to 27.11.0 and I’m no longer able to use the luminosity masks action that I had been using successfully up to now. It makes an attempt to create the masks but after several error messages, it will only create a selection of the total that it normally would.I work in Lab colour mode but it’s also affected in RGB also.I just need a simple action that can do as I need, I don’t want a separate plug-in. A bit baffled as to why this is happening.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve just read yet another post from a ‘Generative AI is the work of the Devil’ user, and I am thinking that there are things those people could do.  You can remove items from an Application Menu using Edit > Menus (Alt Shift Ctrl M).  Removing the Eye icon will make those items be no longer visible in the menus.  You’d include Layer > New Relight Layer in this. You can use Edit Toolbar and drag unwanted tools to the Extra Tools area so they no longer appear in the Toolbar.You can remove the shortcuts for unwanted tools in Edit > Keyboard ShortcutsI don’t know how you could manage the Contextual Task Bar other than managing without it completely, and there will be some Right-Click items like Harmonize you would need to get rid. When you have done all this, immediately create a Custom Workspace with all options ticked.It won’t be a fully comprehensive removal, but I don’t understand why people can’t just ignore those items they don’t agree with.

In the rush to add AI features please make sure old standard features we depend on and that have worked for years continue to work. With PS 27.11 the ability to save as a TIFF, an essential function, got removed or turned off. More bugs and deficiencies are being introduced as more AI functions get added. 

I am trying to get an inkbleed effect on just the text not the whole image. I have threshold and the blurs activated how I like but its effecting the whole image. I tried doing a clipping mask but nothing happened so I took it off. What is the option here? Thank you. 

Sometimes when I export images via File > Export > Export As…, the exported dimensions don’t seem to maintain the expected aspect ratio when I change the width or height.For example, I have an original image that is 8507 × 6381 px. As far as I can calculate, this isn’t an exact 4:3 aspect ratio, even though I’ve used the Crop Tool to crop the image to 4:3.When I export the image and set the width to 6000 px, I would expect the height to be 4500 px. However, Photoshop sets it to 4501 px instead.If I then manually change the height to 4500 px, Photoshop changes the width to 5999 px.I know this is a minor issue, but I’m curious about why this happens and whether I’m missing something or doing something wrong.Any input would be appreciated!Photoshop version 27.11.0

PhotoShopでデータセットからの書き出しを行う際に、ファイルの名前を設定する欄で、データセット番号+アンダースコア(_)+データセット番号でいつも書き出しできていたのに、突然、2桁の数字しかファイル名に反映されなくなったのですが、どこかの設定を触ったりしてしまったのでしょうか？ 旧バージョン・最新バージョン共に発生しており、別PCなら問題なく3桁以上の数字でも書き出しできてます。

I've been having this issue for a while now where from time to time photoshop takes about 5 minutes to open. Most of the time it's fine, however. Not only that but my photoshop just runs worse than I ever remember. I have a great computer so I shouldn't be having any issues. I've tried everything I can find online, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

HiI use Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign for work, but one day this message came with error code 18000. Its done the same in InDesign and Photoshop. I have a stable internet access, I can go to Creative Cloud and open the apps from there, but the message is still there. When I uninstall the apps and install them again, it works, but the problems shows again the day after. I've tried uninstalling the whole of Adobe with Creative Clouud and install it again, but the problem is the same. Any ideas how to fix this?

Après environ 3 photos, la roue multicolore de macOS apparaît et Photoshop finit par indiquer « l’application ne répond pas ». The PS 27.11.0 update hid the Contiguous checkbox. Now to see whether it’s checked or not, one has to click on the three dots in the Options bar. I am constantly using the Contiguous function, and this is a time-consuming and frustrating change. How can I make the Contiguous check-box always visible?

I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the Gemini 3.1 (Nano Banana 2) partner model in the Photoshop 2026 AI Assisted Editor (Beta) with Firefly. It worked normally yesterday (Sep 24) but stopped working today (Sep 25) and has been failing for several hours now. WHAT HAPPENSEvery generation attempt using Gemini 3.1 (Nano Banana 2) fails with: "Something went wrong. Im Anfang lies sich Photoshop nicht mehr öffnen. Nach den letzten Updates (Windows und Photoshop) lässt sich Photoshop öffnen, meldet aber beim Öffnen von Bilddateien einen Programmfehler.Da keine genaue Fehlermeldung existiert kann ich auch nicht sagen, ob Windows oder Photoshop  den Fehler generiert. Ich nutze die neueste Windows 11 Pro Version mit allen aktuellen Patches und Photoshop 27.10.0

Hi everyone !I'm using Adobe Photoshop 2026 through an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M5 Pro chip and 24 GB RAM.I've been experiencing a strange issue where a small numerical overlay occasionally appears over my image and gets stuck on the screen.This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, the overlay won't disappear, and I have to restart Photoshop to get rid of it.The overlay displays the following text (translated from Norwegian):"Minimum: 1.00, Maximum: 300000.00"I've attached here a screenshot taken when this happened on April 3, 2026.I've never experienced this particular behavior on my previous MacBook Pro (2019, Intel-based), or on the MacBook Pro M1 (2020) I'm currently using as a loaner.I'm not assuming this is a hardware problem.
