About 2 releases ago, I began to have an issue where the spot removal tool, intermittently, takes a VERY long time - like 10 to 15 seconds to do a simple white dot removal on a uniform black background. I’ve tried to work through it, hoping Adobe would fix the problem, but this is absolutely killing my productivity. System:I9 285K RTX 5070 TI 64BG DDR5 Asus ProArt Z890-CREATOR WIFI MB Win 11 64 Latest updates and drivers for everythingSettings:Generative AI Off Remove after every click Spot size ~ 35 Nothing but Bridge and PS runningProblem Details:PS is seemingly random as to when it has this issue. I haven’t been able to discern any pattern. I can be removing leaves from the surface of a pond, for example. I will click on 2 or 3 leaves and they are removed almost instantaneously (as was always the case before this problem appeared) with good results. The next leaf I click on, a popup appears and the progress bar creeps across. 8 to 20 seconds later, it finishes. It might do

I have updated to PS 26.11 but Image->Generative Upscale is not there. My gpu is compatible, I am using rgb color space and the image I am using is pretty tiny. My preferences dont show it as a technical option to tick. What gives?
With some updates of photoshop actions are lost...to be never found again unless user saved a copy somewhere. I would like all actions, and also bridge workflows etc to be saved in the adobe cloud so that they never get lost.
Shouldn't the Copyright info URL be displayed also under IPTC? exporting jpegs and everything is filled out correctly or there another setting somewhere that strips it? thank you
When creating a selection with the polygonal lasso I used to be able to use the ESC key to exit out of the selection. Also, using the delete or backspace key used to allow me to go pack to a previous point in my selection. Neither of these functions are working for me anymore on Windows 10 Pro 64bit and Photoshop 23.4.2
This past week very annoying little pop ups have been appearing on the right side of my Photoshop that I am assuming is AI generated by what I'm doing presently. I don't want them - at all. They just clutter up my screen and have absolutely no value to my process at this experience level. How do I turn them off? No, this is not about the left side panel tool tips and rich tool tips. I've already shut those off through preference and they are unrelated to this new annoyance as far as I can tell. Here is a screenshot of one of these pop ups.
Photoshop 27.x forces large hover tooltip panels (e.g., Generative Fill) with no option to disable them. These appear across tools and interfere with normal workflow. Previous versions allowed turning off “Rich Tooltips,” but that control has been removed. Please restore a simple preference to disable these panels.

GPU not utilized during layer move — 200% CPU on M3 Max (macOS Tahoe)System infoPhotoshop version: 2026 (latest)OS: macOS TahoeHardware: MacBook Pro M3 Max Issue descriptionWhen moving a layer using the Move tool, Photoshop uses 200%+ CPU while GPU utilization remains at approximately 1%. This causes severe performance degradation and makes the application feel unresponsive during basic layer operations. The GPU is recognized by Photoshop but is not being utilized for compositing or rendering during layer movement. Steps to reproduce1. Open any document in Photoshop 20262. Select a layer and use the Move tool to drag it3. Monitor CPU and GPU usage via Activity Monitor — CPU spikes to 200%+, GPU stays at ~1% Expected behaviorGPU should handle layer compositing and rendering during move operations, keeping CPU usage at a reasonable level. Actual behaviorAll rendering is offloaded to the CPU. The M3 Max GPU (which has 40 GPU cores) is almost completely idle. This appears to be a Metal/GPU
Hi all -- I really need HELP... I see @Sameer K addressed this on Sep 12, 2023 (Photoshop tool icons are missing), however, PSD has evolved so much AND I am not super technical. So, before I attempt that solution, I'd like to know if Sameer K's fix is still the right solution for today's Photoshop. Thank you in advance for your help!! I have premier, this seems simple, but i am SUCH a rookie, it’s kicking my ass. It’s simple captions in a music video, the replacement text is so similar that the background barely matters. but like i said, it’s beaten me.help? thankyou
Hi there everyone, Hope everyone is doing well! There is a problem with transparency handling in PNG files exported from Picsart premium APK MOD download . When importing these PNGs into Adobe Photoshop (v25.4.1 - 2024), the transparent areas appear completely black or white instead of being transparent. Steps To Reproduce: Open Picsart on BlueStacks 5. Create a new project with a transparent background. Add some elements (text, stickers or effects) and export the image as a PNG with transparency enabled. Open the exported PNG file in Adobe Photoshop. Notice that the transparent areas appear black/white instead of clear transparency. Expected Result: The exported PNG file should maintain proper transparency, so when opened in Photoshop, the transparent areas should remain clear and editable. Actual Result: The transparent areas become solid black or white. The image does not retain an alpha channel, making it unusable for further editing. Open
Hi All,When I first used the “Define Pattern” function in photoshop, it asked me where I wanted to save the pattern to. I have since saved multiple patterns but it only asked for the location that first time. Now, I am trying to find where they’ve all been saved to as I cannot remember which folder I selected. I am trying to delete certain patterns. I did see that I can right click from the pattern panel but it’s bothering me that I cannot find the file path itself. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Or am I searching for something that doesn’t exist?I am on macOS Sequoia 15.5 and photoshop version 27.3.1I’ve tried searching various folders in my hard drive but cannot find them except that in ~Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2026/Presets/Patterns I found a handful of patterns that look like default patterns. In that folder, there is a file named “Artists Brushes Canvas.pat”. Would my custom patterns all be included in that file maybe? I appreciate anyone’s help. Thank y

As of a few days ago, my "Object Selection Tool" has stopped working. Magic and Quick work as they always have, but for some reason, when I go to Object Selection the same error message appears every single time. "Couldn't find an object to select. There might not be enough edge contrast, or the object might be too small." I have to crop out garments from white backgrounds nearly every day for my job so it is not like the images have altered or differed for there to be an issue that way.I have tried resetting the tool, messing with the "Sample All Layers", "Hard Edge" etc, but nothing seems to work. Help please.
I'm using PS 2026 and NanoBananaPro to clean up and restore old b&w photos - the return results often create new facial looks - in the command, I explicitly say DON'T change eye direction (it does to look toward the camera) or facial expressions (it does, sometimes adds a smile) or clothing (it sometimes does - today it added a sweater). This is frustrating. What can I do? I just want the images restored, upscaled, cleaned up, etc. Thanks. Here’s my command: Restore the picture to a high resolution professional photograph taken in a high quality studio. Enhance and upscale detail of the picture with no dust, scratches, smudges or damage. Bring everything into sharp focus. Do not change the facial expressions or direction of eyes. Do not change hair or makeup or clothes of any one in the picture. Result should be a high resolution professional image for high quality printing for an archival print.
I want to use Photoshop as I used to. On my Mac.But it doesn’t open anymore. Lightroom does. Normaly there was a icon of PS in my launchpad, now there is only one for Photoshop beta, and that one doesn’t even open.If I download PS, it doesn’t want to install. What happened, how do I get it right? I’m no computer wizard. I’m panicking a little now… Help?
I have a folder on my desktop named 'CC'. When I use this JSX code, I can't iterate through the number of files inside it, but when I change the name 'CC' to something else, it works. What could be the reason for this? Is there a solution? Thank you.var targetFolderPath = 'C:/Users/Administrator/Desktop/CC';var targetFolder = new Folder(targetFolderPath);if (!targetFolder.exists) { alert('Target folder does not exist!');} else { var filesInFolder = targetFolder.getFiles(); alert('Number of files found: ' + filesInFolder.length); if (filesInFolder.length === 0) { alert('The folder is empty!'); } else { alert('The folder is not empty!'); }}
Hello Everyone. For many years I use the Mask, especially using the Pen Tool, and create a Mask. I never used Vector Mask. I would like to know, that what can you do with Vector Mask that you can't do with a regular Mask and the benefits of each one.Thank you very much.
I use photoshop for basic things. I updated my apps and now I can't find the tool that will select a color you click on a graphic that removes it.
Could I possibly get a step-by-step guide for using Gradient maps? I've tried using it myself but whenever I go to pick my colors it changes it to the greyscale equivalent (ie, picking light blue gives me a light grey, picking dark blue gives me a dark grey). Is there a certain layer type or spec I need to specify first or am I just going about the process wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
I'm new to the community & Photoshop. I'm just recently getting into Photoshop. I've seen some tutorials on YouTube on how to make miniature Sports Athletes. The creators are obviously good at this, but they go over the tutorial very fast and tend to skip over some steps. Can someone in the community point me to a newbie-friendly tutorial on this subject? Thanks in advance.
How do I lock rotation view in Photoshop? It is annoying when the canvas rotates accidentally. I don't understand why Adobe allows the Rotation View to work without even having the tool selected.
