I’m trying to export a vid in Premier with on/off subtitles.I can burn the captions directly onto the video and can export with a sidecar file, but I can’t work out how to export the video so they can be turned on/off in viewers such as QuickTime.The only options in the export/captions dropdown are Burn Captions into Video or Create Sidecar file.

I am trying to blur faces in a video, i did this 4 months ago and it was much different because of this new update. I have the mask on and then I press auto track and watch it and then stop it when the mask goes off and readjust the mask to the face and track forward by one frame until it realigns and then press auto track again and repeat until the clip is done. I then go back to rewatch the clip and the mask at the beginning of the video is completely off. I have searched everywhere for why this is not working when I did this 4 months ago and this was working fine. 

Hello, I have a question regarding Adobe Premiere 2026. Is it still possible to use the 'old' masking method?I am very comfortable using the technique of setting a keyframe on the first frame and another on the last frame, allowing the mask to interpolate (move) automatically between them without using the 'Track Mask' feature. On my system, the automated tracking process is very slow, so I rely heavily on this manual first-and-last frame method.However, in the new Premiere Pro 2026, I am finding it very difficult to do this. I’ve even encountered a bug: when I use the Path tool to manually create a mask on the first frame and then move to the last frame to adjust it, the mask doesn't respond correctly. I cannot move the mask points directly in the Program Monitor; instead, I am forced to manually adjust the numerical values in the Effect Controls panel to get any movement. I’ve already tried anything solutions in this website, google, and AI, but none can’t fixed this.Please look into

In January, I started editing a project on a 2017 iMac, 2TB internal HDD with about 130GB free, using Premiere Pro v25.6 and proxies. It had to be sent serviced at an official Apple Store, for an internal cleanup as the fan started making a noise. Chose to upgrade the internal drive from a 2TB HDD to 2TB SSD, details of which I have shared in screenshots below.Meanwhile, I resumed my edit on a rented Macbook Air M1, 2020 (8GB). Mid-project Premiere Pro auto-upgraded from v25.6 to v26 and I continued editing till 2 days ago. The rental period lapsed and I had to return the Macbook Air and resume working on the serviced and upgarded iMac.The first problem I encountered was that the iMac isn’t compatible with Adobe app v26 so I installed v25.6, which didn’t allow me to open my project files as it was created in a newer version. I am creating a stop motion video using Premiere Pro, when exporting my clip the end shows black. How do I get rid of the black ending? I want my clip to end on the last frame/photo.

Premiere 25.5Not sure if this is a feature or a bug. I made a post previously about how it now takes me 5 steps to apply a default transition (click on cut, KS apply transition, click on transition, click on transition again, move to start of cut). Part of this process is necessary because when I apply a default transition, it’s the cut that remains “focused” and not the transition I just applied, so once I apply the transition, I have to find the microscopic point where I can actually click on the transition to “focus” it, then move it. I would swear that in older versions the focus would immediately be on the applied transition instead of staying on the cut.

I created a mogrt in After Effects 2025 and exported it, no error messages. I imported the mogrt into Premiere 2025, no error messages. I replaced the placeholders using the Replace from Finder feature. I preplaced the 1 video and the 1 image with the exact same video and image that I used in after effects to make the mogrt. I then went to edit with the mogrt. I used the “Open in Timeline” feature so I could put in a new clip into mogrt. the clip played exactly how i wanted it to in that timeline that was inside the mogrt. When I closed that timeline and played the mogrt in my main project timeline I saw that the mogrt instead played the clip that I had put in there at the start of the entire clips timecode and not at the point to which I edited it to start at. I know this can work I’ve done it in older editions of adobe. So what’s happening here?

Hello,I would like to set the audio of my video at -3db, ie : I would like that the audio could go up to -3 db (for the peaks), without exceeding -3 db.What is the best Premiere Pro tool to use in order to do it ?

Hello,I recently made the poor decision to upgrade my 2019 Mac Pro (Intel) to macOS Sequoia.  I am running Premiere Pro 25.0.  After the OS upgrade I opened a Premiere project I was working on and noticed that in some areas where I had effects Premiere was reporting it was unable to load frames.  Even after transcoding and replacing the source footage, this problem persisted. While I managed to work around that annying issue, a much larger one emerged.  When attempting to export a project it reached 99% and then suddenly froxe my entire system and caused it to crash.  Hoping the issue was specifically with Premiere, I tried again by sending the project to Media Encoder.  Same result.  99% and then complete system shutdown. I have since managed to revert my system back to macOS Sonoma for the time being and Premiere works perfectly with those very same projects again.  I have seen a few crash threads on here, but nothing that quite match

Is there a problem with Transform effect in Premier Pro 2018 CC? It worked fine the first time I applied the effect in the timeline, but after I exported the video I realized none of the transform effects were applied to the video. I went back to the project, and it looks like it doesn't work on the existing clips in the timeline. If add a new clip in the timeline, it works fine.Is this a bug? or am I doing something wrong?I'm trying to create the motion blur effect with Transform(Distort) by key-framing the scale property from 100 to 130.This is not the first time I'm having problems. Last time Premier crashed and when I opened it back the Transform effect wouldn't work. There are no cuts on the timeline, the entire movie file is one piece even though it consists of several tens of small fragments that I have been editing on the timeline for several days.

Hi, I just updated PremierPro to the latest version (25.2.1 build 2), and stared having issues with the masking tool.Essentially, when I try to modify the mask, it automatically expands. Attached are some screenshots of what I mean, as it is a bit hard to explain in writing.You can see in the second image, when I moved one of the points that it didn't pull the mask with it.

This happens both while working on the timeline and after rendering, RANDOMLY, and greatly interferes with color correction. It started after upgrading to Windows 11, followed by the release of Premiere 25.5, and all the trouble began. The image may flicker in contrast.All my drivers are up to date, and I installed the Studio driver via the N app and Intel GS.I found a similar thread on Reddit that explained that the problem could be caused by the RTX5090 and UHD Graphic 770 (13900k) rendering in different color spaces.Random periods of high contrast appear.To see an example of a render of this kind, watch the first 1-2 minutes of this video: https://youtu.be/Cg4xQBXNSFEHow can I fix or unify the color spaces?

Hello again,I am still trying to “collect and copy” files onto a separate SSD for the colorist, but it keeps freezing up on me.The first time it copied proxies instead of the full resolution media, so I detached them and reconnected the full media. But it still didn’t work, and I got an error message that all the files in a particular folder are still offline.  I have tried to relink these files several times by right clicking on “Reconnect Full Resolution Media” and following from there. They show up when I try to select them. But every time when I try to actually copy I get the same error messages about that same folder.  The weird thing is— ALL OF THESE CLIPS ARE SHOWING UP AND PLAYING IN THE TIMELINE. So, they would have to be linked, wouldn’t they??  What can be happening, how can I link the media properly?

I set the project to REC709 as suggested, which helped a bit but the image still looks different and flat. I tried adjsuting Lumetri changing codecs, exporting via Media encoder and rendering in another software 

Playback of 4K H.265 (HEVC) footage from certain cameras (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, DJI Mini 4 Pro) is unusable—severe stuttering and frame drops—in a new or existing sequence, even on powerful M2/M3 Mac systems. This occurs even with playback resolution set to 1/4 or 1/8. The same media plays smoothly in QuickTime and in previous versions of Premiere Pro (e.g., 24.x).

The "Browse" tab within the Essential Graphics panel remains permanently empty (spinning loading icon) after updating Premiere Pro. No local or Adobe Stock Motion Graphics templates are displayed. This prevents access to all MOGRT files. The "Editing" tab for existing graphics works fine.

Hey, I’ve updated Premiere Pro to new version. Now it takes 3x longer time to render something than last version. Why is that? I didn’t change any settings, the video is almost the same size and time, with almost the same colours etc. 

The playback on my timeline is delayed, choppy, and sometimes stops altogether. Video frames drop, audio comes in and out; sometimes the video continues to play in the Program window but the playhead freezes in the timeline and the audio stops. It’s just generally not a smooth playback experience and makes it impossible to edit. (I’m attaching a screen recording.) I am editing with a SanDisk 4T SDD. My computer is a 2022 MacBook Pro running on an M2 chip. OS is Tahoe 26.2. Premiere version is 26.0.0 (Build 72).In Premiere, Renderer is set to “Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (Metal).” Here is what I’ve tried so far: -resetting preferences in premiere-updating my computer software-updating Premiere-deleting media cache-clearing out the hard drive I keep the project on so there is 1T of free space-reducing playback resolution to ¼-used the Media Encoder to convert MXF files to Apple ProRes 422 LT codec  I have been editing other projects and have not had any issues.Can anyone hel

Hello All, I have read articles from Adobe and followed the steps, and previously had been able to install luts to show up in the Lumetri panel (I speak of third party Luts). However with this new versions of 2025 I cannot find the folder to install the Luts. I do have the Luts that come from adobe appearing in Lumetri. Has there been a change for 2025?  Thanks everyone and yes I know this is such a basic question, but I have spent already 30+ minutes to no avail, and this should have been a five minute process like every other time I had done this.

I'm exported a video from Premier Pro 19 as an mp4 file. When I try to Air Drop the mp4 to my iPhone, I get this message on my phone: "Failed to save item. Save to iCloud Drive Instead?" Why wouldn't I be able to AirDrop this to my photos in a normal manner?
