I’m not having the wonderful experience with the new color management i expect. I thought it was a feature of my Intel MacBook Pro and its GPU but it seems others are having this problem. If I apply a Lumetri creative LUT and i’m in an Aces color space timeline I get a weird solarised effect. This happens if I select Aces or Rec 709 in the color space box. So i’m assuming the LUTs are not designed for Aces color space. So is there a work around for this ? There should be a way to block or grey out the Rec 709 LUTs so they cant be used if that’s the reason.Or can the LUT be applied on export to Rec709 ? Is there a plan to tackle this problem in a future release ?Thanks Jonathan

Last week, I accidentally allowed an upgrade to proceed, assuming there wouldn’t be any major problems. That was a mistake. Constant crashes, clips disappearing without reason, ridiculously laggy preview scrolling, and processing that stutters for no apparent reason. I’m having the worst experience I’ve ever had. I tried updating Premiere Pro, resetting presets, and clearing the media cache, but nothing helped. I wanted to downgrade, but too many processes have been completed since the update, and there’s a huge amount of data to back up, so I just don’t have the time. It was my mistake to carelessly allow the OS update, but the repercussions have been massive. If anyone reading this is considering upgrading their OS, absolutely DON'T do it right now.

Or is this an error in the sample code? Is there an alternative way to retrieve the sequence video frame rate in UXP for Premiere Pro 25.6.2? For reference, I am currently using Premiere Pro version 25.6.2.

As an Assistant Editor, I have to make EDLs of archival footage/stills/audio used in our sequences. I’ve been exporting the sequence (from our Production) as a Premiere Project, Generate Source Clips, then deleting source clips unrelated to archival (ex. production footage and audio). I then use Simplify Sequence and Flatten all multicam sequences. However, for some reason, the multicam audio remains in the sequence, even when the multicam sequences are completely empty. Is there a way to remove all empty multicam audio clips? Or flatten multicam audio (if it’s empty, it’d flatten to nothing)?

A client wants the copyright symbol (®) to be superscript on a set of captions. Is there anyway to do this. I can only edit an enitre line of caption at a time. 

Hi there!  New to multicam editing. I have a 1hr 15min recording with 2 cameras that are made up of seperate clips and an external audio recording. I figured that the easiest way of me putting it together was to sychronise everything then nest the seperate cameras and create a multicam sequence from those nested sequences.  Now my problem is that I want to grade the cameras to make them match better. I thought that putting an adjustment layer in the nested sequences made the most sense. While this has worked in those sequences, the effect does not seem to translate to the multicam sequence. Is there something I’ve done wrong? A particular setting that needs to be turned on?  I have already edited the multicam sequence so I’d rather not add the adjustments to every individual clip. And I can’t add an adjustment layer to the multicam sequence as the cameras need different grades. Is there another method that could work?  Any advice would be appreciated! 

Apologies for being a bit slow on the uptake but has Lens Flare been removed from Premiere 26? I can’t find it anywhere; it’s not even among the Legacy effects.

I’m trying to figure out an issue with some audio mixes where the duration shown in the Premiere browser and timeline does not match the actual duration of the WAV file, even though Media Properties in Premiere show the correct duration (photo attached).I’m working on a Apple Silicon Mac running Sequoia 15.7.3, and editing on Premiere Pro v25.6.4 (although this issue has also happened in previous versions of Premiere and macOS). I sent an AAF to the audio engineer, and the mix he sends back from ProTools comes in with the wrong duration when imported into the same Premiere project.The mix has the initial sync beep, but it appears to be a few frames short at the end. We’ve tested multiple exports:– 24-bit renders– Printing the mix internally in ProTools, then exportingAll results are the same.I also tried importing the file into a completely different Premiere project, and it still reads the duration the same way, so I’m not sure where else to look.Thanks for any insight.  

My Q and W shortcut keys for ripple triming left and right of the playhead are not responsive.I've tried selecting the default keyboard in the dropdown menu of the keyboard shortcuts interface. That did not work.  Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts>Keyboard Layout Preset: Adobe Premiere Pro DefaultI briefly searched the Adobe community for help and the top result involved saving a .kys file for the default keyboard into a folder in my Adobe user profile. This also didn't work.Anyone have any ideas?

When playing back Red footage, specifically in a proxy workflow, premiere pro program window goes black while audio continues to play fine.  This has been happening since PP 24.  To fix, in the past, I would switch to the software renderer and that would return video image.  Now, I have to restart PP and either switch that on in startup or continue to work until it fails again. I am on windows 105950 AMD CPUNvidia 3090 GPUAll drivers up to date64 GB ramFootage is on a samsung SSDPP updated to 25.3 but as mentioned, has been occuring since 24 The footage will playback fine and then it won't and I only seem to having issues with Red footage in this manner.  Expected result is continally fine playback with no video dropouts.

Same problem across several versions.  EVERY time I open a project with assets on a cloud drive, including LucidLink, requires manually relinking, and the locate/search function will NEVER search in the folder I have selected. It will literally search every folder on every drive on my machine.  Just fix it. 

When you make the program panel in your timeline fullscreen and you are working with text, when using the shortkey to minimalize it again, you will see the shortkey in the text, so it’s not possible to minimalize the fullscreen without resetting the workspace. This is happening in a lot of versions already. Current version: 26.0.1Macos: Sequoia 15.5 - M1 max 

I’m genuinely curious to get a sense a sense of this. Let me be clear, this post is not about troubleshooting what’s causing the crashes.For weeks now I’ve been triggering multiple crash reports a day, sometimes up to a dozen. I’m typing the same thing into the “Please tell us what led to this error” field and providing my email address every time. I would expect that when you receive 100+ crash reports from the same person with the same problem, you might make good on that statement “Adobe may contact me for fixes and workarounds”But I’ve heard nothing. That’s why I want to know, has anyone in this community EVER been contacted by Adobe with a workaround, after submitting one of these forms?   

Hi!I m an Apple Laptop user and am already forced to loose the camera notch bar space when being in full screen mode of my actual screen as MacOS blacks out the whole Notch line, even though the notch is at a place where no crucial informations are placed = easy to tolerate. But no. Not possible. (?) And being added to that - in Premiere, there is this huge Home bar on top which additionally kills so much space which I dont use while editing. Means with those two conditions I m loosing around 15% of my Laptop screen hight already for nothing. I cant find any solution to switch it off or make it narrowed. And this question is already up for years. So, is there finally a solution??? 🙏 🙏🏼 🙏🏻 🙏🏿

Hi guys, I’m working on a TV show and i’ve inherited some part of footage from my assistant editor. The workflow we use for audio is standard STEREO 2 ch. However the part my assistant made was set to “adaptive audio”. I just copied/pasted it into my stereo seqence and.. there is “Audio Playback Issue”. Fixed by duplicate etc. Now my sequence looks fine. All files are “mono, 7 ch.” as they should be - however I cannot control Volume as they still act as adaptive. After doing some research I’ve managed to walkaround this - duplicate sequence, delete all audio from the new one and drag/drop it from the previous one using “sent to source”. That brings back my volume settings. However… after reopening project it’s back to “act-as-adaptive” mode.Render and replace also does the work - but I want to keep the files as original. How to fix it, for good? (without re-editing the whole thing) [Premiere CC26] 

^^^ Source Window EXPORTED FRAME: crazy blown out ^^^ Source Window, screenshotted (Windows+Shift+S) - so this is what the Source Window LOOKS LIKE to me as I’m working^^^ The same clip in my program monitor in my timeline (no effects added onto the clip in the timeline) -- EXPORTED FRAMECan someone explain why when I export the frame from the Source Monitor that it comes out looking blown out? I’m one of four Assistant Editors on a docuseries and we’re very close to turnover on three episodes. I’ve created & saved a custom Label Color preset and would like to share them with the other AEs so they don’t have to recreate the wheel. I can’t find the Label Color preset in Documents (we’re on Mac). Where does Premiere save custom Label color presets?

Looking for a way to import clips using a “starts with” filename match (Premiere Pro / Automation Blocks / spreadsheet-driven workflows)I’m using Automation Blocks for Premiere Pro to automatically pull video clips into a sequence based on file paths generated from a spreadsheet.Previous workflow (worked well): All footage was shot on one camera. Filenames followed a simple, predictable pattern (e.g. 1J1A0001.MP4, 1J1A0002.MP4, etc.). While filming, I logged the clip number in Excel. A formula built the full file path (path + prefix + clip number + extension). Automation Blocks could find each clip via an exact filename match and import it into a sequence. New issue: I added a second camera (Canon R5C recording .mxf). Canon filenames are much longer and include metadata (date, UUID, etc.). If i do a clean install of Windows 11 24H2 i cannot playback mp4 files with 5.1 audio. Microsoft writes "Beginning with Windows 11, version 24H2, the AC-3 codec is no longer included with Windows." and no solution is available such as "Buy the AC3 codec in MS Store now!!".   To reporduce: 1. Do a clean install of Windows 11 2. Install Premiere Pro 3. Import a mp4 file with 5.1 audio.   Result: The file will be imported as video-only.   Expected result: That the file imports as Video/Audio and that i can playback the file and hear the 5.1 audio.   Additional info: If you have upgraded from a prior version of Windows 11 to 24H2 the AC3 codec is included, so doing a clean install of Win 11 24H2 is vital to reproduce this.   I have a HP Z4 G5 workstation and none of the audio drivers for this machine do contain any AC3 codec that Premiere Pro can use.   Any solution from Adobe?   Microsoft document: Codecs in Media Player - Microsoft Support
