Questions

When I go to use an effect in effect controls, the rectangle tool, the oval tool and the pen tool icons do not show up below each effect. How can I correct this? 

In PP 2026, if there’s a sequence marker on a timeline  that overlaps a clip, when I cut the clip, it eliminates the sequence marker. I can see where this is helpful in some instances. However, for the most part, I’d rather not cut the sequence marker. It’s especially problematic when me or my editor has put information on the marker (i.e., Name, Comments, etc.); I don’t want to lose that info or have to resurrect the marker from an older sequence (or an Auto Save project) if the marker gets cut. Is there a way to have a Setting that lets me choose the behavior? The workaround I can think of is to temporarily move the sequence marker, cutting the clip, then moving the marker back.

See the attached video for what I mean. This only seems to have started happening with the latest update to 25.3.   Problem Behavior: If there is a marker exactly at the cut the "ripple edit to playhead" action will be going to, it will delete that marker instead of preserving it like before. HelloI’ve been getting these frame substitution and error retrieving messages on my Premiere Pro. My Premiere Pro version is 25.6.2. The footage is the A-roll, which I cannot remove and which has never before troubled me. I’ve tried deleting the cache, creating a separate sequence, and restarting Premiere Pro, but nothing works.Is there a way to solve this problem? Updated it to 26.0;still doesn’t work.Attaching a screenshotPlease helpThanks 

I'm working with a composer who uses Ableton Live and I need to send him my timeline with all audio clips in position.I've been exporting AAF from Premiere, but since Ableton doesn't natively support AAF, he was having trouble. He found a converter tool (https://abletonliveaaf.shop) that converts the AAF to an Ableton project, and it's been working well.My question: Are there specific AAF export settings in Premiere that work best for this workflow?Currently I'm using:Mixdown Video Include Audio (all tracks) Sample rate: 48kHzShould I be embedding the audio files or linking them? Any other settings that help preserve fades and volume automation in the AAF?Thanks!

Why do you keep releasing new versions of PP just to make them worse every time? The last half decent version was 2023. I just don't understand the business sense of putting resources into making a worse product 

I have a MAC PRO 2010 with NVIDIA QUADRO K5000 and the last system it let me work in real time with cuda drivers aceleration is high Sierra and adobe premiere 2020 (14). I can't find the installer and the adobe support say the can have only version 15. I would like if anybody can send me the link to download the installer or adobe premiere 14.8 . Thanks

Because the Beta 26.0 was the buggiest version I’ve seen in a long time (understandable, but I will still stay clear if it is)I asked this question yesterday but I presume the new forum ate it. Yay progress. 

Come back to fix something the next day and the previews have all been deleted.  Is there a setting somewhere to change how long they should stay, do they get deleted on exit?  And why not recycle them so we can restore them if we want?

I’m trying to import the completed 5.1 audio mix into my project, in order to replace the original unedited audio.The original sequence was set to Stereo, and had dozens of audio tracks which I had exported for the post sound guys to work on. They completed my 5.1 mix, which I now have on six separate tracks. I read that I have to change the audio settings to Multichannel in order to set this up properly, but when I duplicate the original sequence it won’t let me change this part. So, I tried to create a new sequence from scratch. I was worried about duplicating all of the original video settings, especially since there were already specific adjustments I had to get right to crop the footage into 4:3 (including a few cases of reframing). That’s why I would rather just duplicate it and adjust the audio afterwards. But I tried to create a brand new sequence, and set up the video settings manually. Updated to latest version 24.4.0 and the Alt+ scroll zoom behaves different. It zooms to a totally different timeline area than the usual mouse pointer/playhead. Any workarounds?

Hi everyone,  I am having some issues with the new version of Premiere Pro (v25.1).The playback in a project stops randomly after a few seconds or minutes. When this happens, I can't play anything. I can still navigate through the software, move the timeline cursor or edit the clips but I can't my sequence or preview any files inside my project. The preview and program windows are freezed. When I restart premiere pro it works again for a few seconds or minutes until this happens again.  I am working on a Macbook Pro (macOS: Sonoma 14.6.1. ) with a M3 Max chip and 48GB of RAM. I am already working on this project for several days and today (since the update) is the first time experiencing this issue. I am working with MXF (XDCAM422) files. Is anyone experience similar issues and has some ideas on how to solve this?  Thank you!     

Hi!After working on a vid for a few days, today I opened it and it looked like shit. (In the beginning I also couldn’t hear anything but I succeded to solve that after a few attempts.)BTW, I exported a short excerpt and the vid looked great. So it is just an issue with the Program Panel, I think. 

Ok, I may be mistaken and the solution exists - it's just not so obvious, but right now I cannot find any way to apply mutiple text styles to the text layers.What I did. There is a separate track on which there are my subtitles ugraded to motion graphics layers (they are highlighted):What I need. During the editing I discovered there are some parts of the sequence the subs are not visible because the text color is the same as the background. So I decided to add a shadow to them.Normally in such a case I create a text style and apply it to all the other mogrts on the timeline. This is a workflow I've had no issues in my life. So I created a text style:Now I select all the other mogrt layers on this track and... see no field I can apply my style in:Nor there is any way to copy styles and paste them as attributes (the Vector motion copies motion only):The effect controls panel says there are multiple layers selected so go to hell: So either I'm missing some secret workaround or this

i have done editting on both softwere i edit h.264  4k 4:2:2 120 fps in premeir pro and davinci resolve same machine but premier pro strugle to play and choked my ram and crashed whole system i had lots of data to edit aorund 1 tb at time with 5 days shoot and as i import in to davvinci all smoot like i hav egood playback and thumbnai view fast short selection and all so anyone know whne premier pro gonna support h.264 smoother playback i heard that premier pro uses older tech for h.264 and reolve use theire own i am concidering to shift there (since i know all thing about mezzanine codec tho ) 

Is there a setting that allows me to see audio clip names with audio track at the 1st from the shortest height? I used to be able to do this in PP 2024 and it was extremely convenient, especially on sequences with 20+ audio tracks or when I want to adjust my workspace so my Timeline window in shorter (to make more room for other windows). In 2026, I have to have the audio track at the 3rd from the shortest height, which takes up a lot of real estate when I have 20+ audio tracks.

The scripts I have created with Automation Blocks are quickly becoming very essential to my companies workflow, so thank you for creating such an amazing tool!!! Most of my development has been in Premiere 2024, and they work flawlessly in that version, but when using in 2025 scripts dealing with updating the text in a mogrt is not working correctly.The actual graphic in program panel will update according to user input but, the text field in the MOGRT UI will either be blank, or stay what it was previously. If you click into the MOGRT text field, then the on screen graphic will update but not the text field in the UI. I’ve been capturing PS2 gameplay  using an emulator and want to clean it up and edit it in Adobe Premiere Pro. Some footage looks pixelated or has interlacing issues — especially from older titles.What’s the best way to upscale, deinterlace, or enhance PS2 video clips in Premiere Pro for YouTube or social media? Any plugin or export settings you’d recommend for retro gameplay?

Anyone else having this problem? I updated to the latest version and lost all my custom LUTs and creative look. Only the standard ones remain.

Hi, Premiere 25.6.1 asks to update on the opening screen but it's already on the latest software. Pressing update doesn't do anything. Is this correct behaviour?Probably just something not checked in the hurried release after not checking the 25.6 release. When you go back and check this please also check the fact that premiere no longer exports for a lot of people on mac and on pc or at least you have to keep trying the many options there - try the export window, nope. try file / media / export. Nope. Try file/ media/export/send to media encoder. Success! But i still have to way while it renders every single audio clip on my 2 hour timeline for a few hours despite selecting an in to out of 1 minute duration. Oh, and the text box keeps freezing up after a while too and only comes back after closing and opening the project so when you do test it try working on it for a few hours on a large production.I'm really concerned that this software has reached that point of bloati

The problem is only in the export window. And please don't write that I need to update my monitor, drivers, Windows, or keyboard. That's not the reason.
