Hi. I have a three or four year old HP laptop that I've been using Premiere Pro and Media Encoder on, and recently I haven't been able to update to the new version of Premiere Pro or Media Encoder. The reason I receive is "not compatible" with a "Processor with Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) support required" message. Could someone tell me what this means and how to fix it so I can update Pro and Encoder? Thank you! 

I am using adobe premiere pro 25.5.0 to apply captions from a caption file to a video.  Some of the captions have too much text at one time so I am attempting to use the "split-caption" button to split the caption.  But when I put the cursor where I want to create the split in the caption and click "split caption" it doesnt split the caption it just duplicates it.  Then i have to manually go into both the original and duplicate caption and delete the sections I do not want.  The split caption button use to function by actually splitting the caption where I had my cursor.  By not splitting the caption but duplicating it, my workload is greatly increased over a long video project.  Is this a known bug and is there a fix in the works for it to actual work as a split button again soon? 

Just updated to Premiere 15.4, and while I'm able to generate a transcription of the speech within a sequence, I'm not able to select a caption style when trying to create a caption track from the transcript.  Here's a video showing how the selection box continues to show "none" when I try to set the caption style.Is this happening for anyone else?The feature works as intended with the latest Premiere Pro Beta version.   

I guess this is a bug?  I don't know what happened in the latest update, but captions/transcripts suddenly became terrible. I used to be able to rely on them for a lot of my edits, but not I'm having to edit transcripts and do a lot more fine trimming. It seems like Premier forgot how sentences work and also only recognizes pauses and filler words about 30% of the time when it used to be just absolute fire. I hope this is addressed in future updates, because it's really increasing my edit times drastically! 

I've downloaded the latest Premiere Pro v 25.2 and once again I cannot add a drop shadow to a cropped image.  BTW, I'm on a PC.   The drop shadow panel is below the crop panel in the effects panel.  Obviously uncropping the image will disclose the drop shadow but I need to crop an image and add a drop shadow to that image.  Any ideas?

Hi there,  I woke up this morning to open Premiere and it said I was logged onto too many devices. For some reason, my desktop was listed as 3 or 4 devices, all with the same name and log in time. After dealing with that issue and changing my password, I went back and opened Premiere (24.1 on a Mac 12.6.6) to find that all my text was missing, and I couldn't create new text with the text tool.  I opened multiple old projects, and found the same thing.  When trying to create new text, there was a red line across the program window (shared below).  I tried manipulating the text under the effects control window to see if anything would pop up, but the text remained invisible (though not sure if it's even there, as I can't select it).  Thank you!  

I have nested two clips in a sequence, but when I want to apply the morph effect to a cut, I get the error ‘Error: Access to clips not possible’ every time. Until about halfway through my project, the morph effect worked perfectly without any problems, but now all of a sudden it no longer works. Since halfway through my project, the morph effect no longer works - even though I haven't changed anything. It worked all the time.I have already reset the layout, completely deleted the cache of Premiere and After Effects, tried to use an older automatically saved version of my project, but the morph effect no longer works - each time I get the same error that the morph effect has no access to my clips.Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Howdy, On a current project I'm running into an issue with Premiere 22.0 and 22.1 where "render audio" renders (literally) terabytes of audio preview files for a 1hr doc. Not had this problem before, and now I can't render audio effects without filling up a massive amount of hdd space. Premiere is writing at over 1gbps for 10-15min when rendering the previews. Sequence has got a number of multicam sequences that are set to two channel stereo, as is the main comp. Audio files for the project are all 32bit 48k wavs, which should match my project settings. Not quite sure what to do here. When I render out the sequence it doesn't spend any time rendering the audio, but rendering the audio previews takes 5-8 times as long as rendering the entire timeline to video. Anyone have any thoughts?

Quicktime clips often containing more than one audio track. Changing framerate in clip settings to apply speed-up or speed-down only keeps first audio track in sync to video. Keeping all the audio tracks sync to  video has worked fine in the past! I'm not sure in which release it got broken.

Hello Adobe Team, I would like to ask about LUT preview behavior in Premiere Pro. When I apply LUTs from the Creative section of Lumetri Color to an Adjustment Layer, I cannot preview LUTs in real time using the up/down arrow keys. Currently, the process works like this: I open the LUT dropdown menu Select one LUT Press Enter The LUT gets applied and I see the result If I don’t like it, I have to re-open the dropdown and repeat the same steps In CapCut, I can preview all LUTs instantly just by using the arrow keys, without needing to confirm each one. This makes the workflow much faster. Is there a way to enable real-time LUT preview (arrow-key navigation) on an Adjustment Layer in Premiere Pro?Or is this a known limitation/bug in the Creative LUT section? Thank you!

How could I bring the Subtitle tracks closer to the vídeo tracks to help editing?

When I open a project file in Adobe Premiere, I get this message: 'The project appears to be damaged, it cannot be opened.' What can I do to fix it? I also tried to open the auto-save files, but they don't work either. Can you help me?

Ok so i just subscirbed to creative cloud pro all apps. Though i have hitpaw for upscaling videos i am not satisfied with faces which are far or in background.They look waxy. But faces which are near are sharp and great. Which adobe software will help and how?

I've been trying to export this video in Premiere. Originally, I edited it in the Beta version to have access to the AI generative video features. Since then, I've updated my main copy of Premiere and have tried exporting it from there. I still run into this issue. I know the most common fixes are:- Changing the GPU encoding process (won't work because that panel is greyed out in my settings for some reason)- Clearing the cache (done it multiple times, don't change anything)- Changing the export settings (leads to poor quality video) Do you have any tips? Usually, the content I find on this issue is regarding PC issues. I'm on Mac. 

Hi, It sounds like several others are experiencing this but I wanted to share my situation in hopes of it helping others and/or the developers. After updating from the latest 24.x version of premiere to 25.0, my new project file crashes constantly (during project startup, in the middle of editing, or, most importantly now, when I try to export the project) and sometimes the project file is recoverable, sometimes it's not. Hello, I wish to echo an issue Im consistently seeing accross forums. I maintain a template library for a large news production, and this issue has been been a big burden on our team.Very often, when using the replace media function to place photos into mogrts, a flicker happens. We have tried many work arounds mentioned mentioned in forums, but none consistently work. The only things we have not tried is switching to software rendering, or adding an adjustment layer with Lumitri color on top.Our team universally uses apple silicone, and are all on Premiere pro 24.6.5. I'm baffled. I shot a 3-minute clip with the Canon EOS R6 in C-Log 3 4K/60, and Premiere Pro will not open it.  Premiere tells me it can't open the file until I get a paid Creative Cloud subscription so that Adobe can install HEVC codecs on my computer. I have a subscription, and I'm logged in. I installed the HEVC codecs from Microsoft. No change. It tells me "The importer reported a generic error." It tells me I should delete a folder in C:users\Public....etc. and restart Premiere. No change. I'm told by Google AI that I can try reinstalling Premiere, but it doesn't fix anything. I tried switching to an earlier version of Premiere. No change.    

I am trying to change the audio channels of my clips to be just out of the right media source channel. However, the buttons to select (or cancel) are cut off from my pop-up window. And, since I'm unable to pick them I have to force quit Premiere Pro entirely. This has happened on and off since the 2025 release. I'm currently using 25.1 on an Apple M2 Max with the latest update. To reproduce the problem:1: Right-click on the audio and select "Audio Channels..." When the modify clip window pops up - the issue is there (screenshot attached)

Hello, I'm the author of a Premiere Pro plugin called "Mask To Transform" which is able to convert the tracked mask into position/scale/rotation keyframes that can be applied to a Trasnfrom effect to e.g. make motion graphics "stick" to an object in the scene etc. My plugin is officially available in Exchange: here's the link https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/105713/mask-to-transform Now with the new masking soluion in Beta my customers are writing to me that my plugin stopped working and it would be amazing if I can make it work with the new (and admittedly pretty awesome) object masking. The problem is that the object mask data sits in a binary file on disk and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to read it.  So my question is: for the purposes of extention development is there a way to somehow read the data stored in these object mask files? Thanks,Kamil

I had almost finished a video on premire when my adobe perscription expired. About a week later my adobe perscription came back, I am on a school computer and had to wait for administration to get it back. However, when I logged back in to my account all of my files had dissapeared and my video was also completly gone. I don't think I saved it onto my computer and instead just saved it in adobe but I was wondering if maybe my files didn't get trasfered? This also happened with my files on photoshop. None of my other classmates have this issue it's only me.
