Hi all,I’ve run into a strange problem twice now while working in Adobe Premiere Pro. Everything runs normally, then suddenly the screen freezes for a moment, goes completely black, and the only way to get it back is to restart the PC using the case power button.I’ve already set up everything needed for Premiere Pro and updated my GPU drivers, and I’m currently using the NVIDIA Studio driver.My system:Intel Core i3 10th GenB560M GAMING HD16 GB RAMNVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti (recently installed)Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W PSU (recent upgrade)Redragon CC-2177 ARGB CPU cooler (recent upgrade)Could this be related to my motherboard, or is it more likely a GPU, driver, or power issue?

I've been trying to export my premiere pro project in 4k and everytime sometimes its at 9% or 18% my render process just freezes or sometimes my entire computer just freezes, this isn't the first time i've rendered a project in 4k I am very confused on why this is happening

Hiya!I was very excited when I finally added my LUTS to Adobe folders, so I dont have to look for them separately for each project.I added around 200 LUTs to the 'Creative' folder and around 20 to the 'Technical' one, all are .cube files.Luts are displayed on the list in Lumetri Panel in Premiere, but when I try to select them from the list, one of the following things happens:1. LUT A - displays fine (for the LUTs that are at the top of the list (I'd say first 5-10))2. I select a new LUT (LUT B), but there is no change in the image, and the name of the previous LUT A is still being displayed as well as the visual3. I select 'no LUT', then go to the bottom of the list, and select LUT C - then Premiere assigns random LUT, from what I noticed it's usually the last one that was responsive.When instead of selecting LUTs from the list that is displayed, I use 'browse' and go directly to the folder with the LUT, everything works great. The problem is this is not the most time effecient

Hey there!I am tearing out my hair trying to batch edit the same consistent position of the text in my graphics layer. I have converted the subtitles to graphics to add motion but now I can't figure out how to change their position? Is this even possible?  Any advice would be so helpful!

I'm running the current version of Premiere Pro and when I try and export a file from an external drive, media encoder says 'offline media detected and will be encoded using the offline media graphic'. The media however isn't offline it's sitting on the timeline (no red screen). Please help! Thanks in advance.

Windows 25.1.0 (73)   When I try to text-based edit, I have this problem where I highlight text, the blue highlight follows, but then when I let go of the mouse, it doesn't highlight the text.  I have to re-highlight the text so I can remove it.  Getting pretty frustrating. Cleared all caches and it's still doing it.    Does anyone else have this? And no - this is a production machine, so BETA versions NEVER get installed. 

Hey everyone, I’m running into a pretty concerning issue with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 on macOS.When I launch Premiere, macOS asks me if I want to allow “screen and system audio recording.”I always hit Deny in the popup.Despite this, macOS still shows a banner saying “Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 is capturing your screen”, and in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, Premiere shows up as if it has access.Screenshots: (attached)This is especially worrying because I’m working on a project under NDA, and I cannot risk any unauthorized screen/audio capture.My questions:Has anyone else seen this behavior with Premiere Pro or other Adobe apps?Is this a bug in macOS (permissions not enforced) or in Adobe Premiere itself?Is there any way to permanently block Premiere from even requesting screen/audio recording?Could this be related to background Adobe processes (Creative Cloud, CoreSync, etc.)?Should I escalate this as a security/privacy vulnerability t

Picture a snowboarding video that is built to be nine-minutes and twenty-five seconds had a huge processing time of 19 hours. After two hours of processing adobe returned Error Code 4 - Selector 17 plus a huge video file size of 22.34GB with only three minutes and thirty four seconds of playback.Here are the nuts and bolts of my recent project I’m trying to finish. Ten Second Intro including Photo Illustration, Motion Graphic Title & Sound EffectsFollowed by Twenty-Eight Audio/Video clips from my GoPro cameras totaling 6.54 GB file sizeOver layed by Three Audio Tracks totaling 15.7 MBFour Photos used in the project including Illustrations equal 8.1 MBVideo transition dips to black followed by credits overlay This is not far from my standard video layout except this time the video is not processing and returns a huge file size. Here is a photo example of what I'm talking about. I want to get rid of the "30 second Intro" and "Main" labels on my audio channels to have a better view of the audio channels. 

Premiere Productions 24.6, Mac OS Sonoma I'm having this strange issue where I go to the transcript and search on a word or phrase and everything works fine, until I suddenly am at some seemingly random spot in the interview where one word is highlighted blue (in one case it was "222", in another it was "into"). The highlight isn't my in/out points, it's brighter blue. I can see those and this blue highlighted word at the same time. Once I see that blue word on the transcript, it will no longer go to the next found word. So, say I was searching on "dog" and had 20 results. I'll click trough until I reach the blue highlighted word and then the transcript won't move.here is one of the mysterious highlighted words: Then if I try to make in/out points and edit, I just get that damn blue word! Hello. I'm using Premiere Pro v14.9. I need to update all the clips in a project so that the "Tape Name" metadata is filled in. Each clip needs to have a different value for Tape Name. Selecting all the clips and opening up the Metadata view and filling in Tape Name there results in all clips having the same Tape Name which is no good. There will be many clips, so doing them one by one isn't an option.If I leave the Tape Name values blank, export an Avid Log Exchange file, update the Tape Name values in the .ALE and then use the .ALE to "Update Metadata" back in Premiere I was expecting the Tape Name values to fill in, but they remain blank. Is Tape Name not updateable via "Update Metadata" from an .ALE? How do you bulk update the Tape Name value in that case? Many thanks!

I've been using Premiere Pro professionally for nearly 10 years and this is a change implemented only within the last few months. It used to be that if there was a clip in a timeline of linked video and audio, clicking on either the video or the audio clip would select both assets. In order to select just one in isolation you could hold down the option key. Now, you have to hold the command key in order to have the linked clip select all its corresponding assets. Please bring the old ways back, or allow for users to change in preferences. Not everything has to be like Davinci Resolve. 

I have had this problem frequently over the past few months. Trying to drag and drop a crossfade between 2 clips and it will only apply it's self to one clip. I have tried clicking on the clips, selecting both, making sure there is no space between the clips. I end up usually having to do a work around that's not the same by putting them on different tracks and fading them over top of each other. I also have these same problems blending audio clips. I believe I have "tried everything" and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. On a recent pair of clips, I applied the crossfade and it went over the 2 clips but on the former clip the transition was longer than the latter clip and I could not make it longer. At all. It was fixed at the size it was and could not be stretched. I don't know what to do.

Hi everyone, I’m running into a frustrating issue with transcriptions in Premiere Pro and hoping someone can help me understand what’s going on. Here’s my workflow: I transcribed an hour-long clip by double-clicking it in the Project panel so it opened in the Source Monitor.In the Text panel, I selected for Premiere to seperate the speakers, clicked Transcribe, and Premiere correctly generated the full transcription for the entire hour-long clip.Then, I dragged that clip from the Project Panel into my timeline.Then, when I play from within that timeline, and scrub around, I only see a transcription of the last 10 minutes or so of the clip, at doesnt even dilineate between the two speakers. Even when I double-click the clip from the timeline (so it reopens in the Source Monitor) and look at the Text panel, it still shows me the same limited transcription.  So basically: If I double-click the source clip in the bin, I can see the full transcription

Hi, I recently upgraded from Premiere Pro 2022 to the latest version because I built a new PC and the GPU sniffer on the 2022 version was not functioning. In the 2022 version when I sped up a clip the audio and video wouldnt desync in the timeline playback or the render but for some reason this version keeps desyncing, I tried multiple different video files and tried converting them to CFR in handbrake first but I'm still having the same issue. Anyone know how to fix? Thanks.

Hi! I have been using Premiere for about 8 years now and have never encountered this issue. I recently updated my computer, and now when I playback my video, my playhead only lands on the tick mark of each second rather than moving smoothly throughout the timeline. (I have attached a video of this below.) My playback itself is extremely smooth; my computer is a beast and has never had an issue with any Premiere. I can click and move the playhead to any interval and make detailed edits when it is paused, but as soon as I press play, it starts snapping to each second again. This makes it difficult to make precise audio edits. I tried changing various playback settings, but nothing has worked so far. I wonder if there is a simple fix to this that I don't know of. Any help is appreciated!

I've been dealing with terrible performance - I thought the issue was ppro 25 (https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/premiere-pro-25-performance-vs-24/m-p/15408676#M565829)but yesterday I used 25 to work on a much smaller project and it was fine.    Why would a large project kill performance? How can the volume of source media slow it down? Does it make a difference that the source media is from multiple paths?   Does lots of warp stabilise data affect perfomace?  Knowing this stuff would help develop best practice with large projects (and tell me when to start from scratch)I'm going to to import this project into a new one today and see if that helps.  

Hello again!I tried to export the still picture portion of my sequence and all of the jpegs appeared as offline.They're fine within my sequence and I "imported" them from my iphoto photo library. The Metadata tab reveals a Status of "Online" within Premiere Pro 2025 and I have no trouble seeing or manipulating them within Premiere.  I have not renamed any files. Any suggestions?Thanks!-Tim

I’m a long-time Premiere Pro user, but I have to be honest—recently, it feels like the software isn’t keeping pace with the industry. Features like rotoscoping, which were hinted at in Adobe MAX, don’t have clear release timelines. Meanwhile, competitors like DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut are rapidly innovating with text effects, AI-assisted tools, and workflow improvements.As a creator who wants to advance and stay competitive, it’s becoming frustrating. Premiere Pro feels like it’s been in “vacation mode” while technology around it evolves. I hope Adobe can accelerate development and bring modern features to Premiere Pro soon, because otherwise, many creators may consider switching to other platforms. I hope it's not too late until it sinks and there are no user left in priemre and everyone switch to different platform.

Scale to frame size not working.  I currently have my media preference set to "Scale to Frame Size" and the clips that I pull into my timeline "fit the frame size". As a work-around I've set my "F" key to "Fill Frame" and press it directly after pulling my clip into my timeline. Doing this for every clip is annoying and I just want my clips to automatically fill the frame once put into my timeline. I've tried resetting my adobe preferences/computer and newly importing clips but nothing works clips. Someone help please.
