When we want to save a Word or Excel document in PDF maker, we get the following message:Acrobat pdf maker the path of document being processed is too long. Please save the file to a path shorter than 255 characters and retryPlease advise.

For some reason, every time I open a pdf, the comment pane now opens on the right side.  Can't find a way to make it stop.  It's very annoying.  I think it was from the most recent update.  

Hello   To remove some bugs in Acrobat Pro I followed the Adobe procedure: uninstall Acrobat and then use the AcroCleaner.It took me several hours but it didn't fix any of the concerned bugs.   When I reinstalled Acrobat Pro (64 bits) I got a message telling me that Acrobat Reader (32 bits) would be uninstalled, which was done. The problem is that now I can't reinstall Acrobat Reader, each time the installation ends on this truncated and incomplete message (attached) which seems to say that Acrobat Reader is already installed. It says : "Old/new version of Acrobat already in........" What can I do?   I'm a developer of PDF forms and I absolutely need to have Acrobat Reader to test them. Thank you for your help.  

On Acrobat standard (paid). I'm starting to think this is a VERY basic function they're locking behind a paywall.  -I make a rectangle on a document and fill it with a color. Great, works fine. I want to add text IN that rectangle. Text always ends up behind it. How do I get around this? -Second issue. I just want a text box with white background and black letters. How do I do this?  

Recently, I have been getting a very annoying "Access Denied" popup when viewing PDFs in Acrobat for Chrome. This occurs on publicly accessible PDFs, so there are no permission issues. I also do not know what triggers it. I can view a PDF without any problems for a while, and then the popup will suddenly appear and interrupt my workflow.Refreshing the page or clicking the X in the corner makes the popup disappear, allowing me to continue my work, but it remains extremely frustrating.I have a subscription to Adobe Acrobat through my employer. I have tried signing in and signing back out, clearing browser cache, etc. Is there anything else I can try? 

Anyone deal with a big red box "Billing Issue" icon in the top right corner of Acrobat Pro?  I've tried installing and uninstalling.  When I click on the button it says "billing issue has been resolved" but the icon won't go away.  Attached picutres.

I see options for a text field and a bunch of other options like radio buttons or date but I don't see a number option.googled and tutorials from 2+ years ago say to go to format tab in properties but this doesn's seem to exist anymore, atleast not in the PC version in 2025 Are number fields just gone? Am I blind?

We have a PDF of a book that was created with FrameMaker. We want the book to be Reader enabled for commenting so that the users can click on the pages and type their own notes. We did that and had a successful PDF, but then noticed a mistake in the setting of the initial view of the document properties where it wasn't set to open to Bookmarks and Page panels. The person who did the book is saying the Reader-enabling is preventing her from being able to just remove the security (we know the password) and fix the setting and then re-doing the enabling and final security again. Is there any reason she is having problems doing a simple Remove security and doing the needed fix? I do not know the exact version of Acrobat Pro she is using, but I'm sure the Reader enabling is still able to be done on the book. The security settings on the draft with the mistake all worked fine to be able for Reader to do the commenting.

Hi, I have just upgraded to Windows 11 and for some reason when Adobe has been uploaded it appears that I cannot use UK numerals? They all come up in what looks like arabic.  How can I change this? Thanks in advance 

I upgraded to Win 11 and reinstalled Adobe CC.  For some reason Acrobat Pro is not even offered for instillation, although it is part of my full CC package. Can anyone help me resolve this?

In Acrobat Pro DC (2015 release) with the Print Production tools loaded, the Preflight tool has stopped working. Output Preview works, but when selecting the Preflight icon, nothing happens, no dialog box.Did the usual checks, update CC, restart MacOS Sierra 10.12.I have Acrobat XI and that still works.What is wrong with Acrobat Pro DC?

A few months ago I bought the lastest MS Surface with a snapdragon processor. Handwritten annotation and notation work great on PDFs in Adobe Acrobat. Because of some incompatibilities with other enterprise systems on campus we invested in a MS Surface with an Intel processor. The problem is that in Adobe Acrobat the handrwritten annotation and notations are not good. The person using the device often has to write formulas and when writing an equal sign just gets two dots. Other handwriting is often illegible as compared to the snapdragon Surface. The issue only seems to be in Acrobat, not other programs like PowerPoint and Notes that exist on the computer. I've read a similar post that mentioned going to Preferences/General and changing Touch Mode from Auto-Detect to Always but that has not made the handwriting any more legible. Looking for other setting to look at (have already adjusted the sensitivity of the Surface Pen to the lightest intensity).

I need some information regarding PDF security to prevent scraping by third-party applications. We are facing an issue where such applications are extracting customer statement data from PDFs, reformatting them, and using the information for personalized offers. This is resulting in a potential business loss for us.Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Recently Acrobat DC has started asking about saving changes before closing upon opening every single PDF document.  No changes have been made ever, yet it still asks and forces me to answer to get out of the document.I have read other articles that mentioned possibly corrupt PDF documents, but I don't think that is relevant as it happens on every document.  I have even created new PDFs from blank Word documents.  This also happens with others in my organization.Any ideas on how to get rid of this very annoying, unnecessary, and time-wasting prompt?

hallo ins rund der adobe-community, es läßt sich mal wieder nicht aus acrobat ausdrucken. die software ist nicht gerade günstig, so sollte man erwarten können, dass wenigstens die grundlegenden funktionen ohne probleme laufen. acrobat neu installiert, drucker neu installiert, drucker vom strom genommen nicht bringt den audruck ins ausgabefach. alle anderen programme haben keine probleme auszudrucken. habe ein kleine video angehängt, die zu druckende datei taucht kurz in der warteliste auf, der drucker zuckt kurz, das war es. hat irgend jemand eine idee?

I'm trying to compare pdf drawings in the latest version of DC Pro Desktop.When I select the files using the compare tool I get a warning:Selected document is a scanned PDF and contains no text. Acrobat will perform image to image comparison only.I've tried opening the file and selecting edit pdf, so it recognises the text and re-saving it, then comparing the re-saved files, but the same response comes up.If I compare the files, it just tells me each and every page has been deleted and replaced, rather than finding the changes.I've resorted to exporting both documents to word, then comparing in word, which is a pretty average fix....Can the pdf's be saved as something that recognises the text and actually compares it?

I have lost trust in Adobe today. I was working on an excel wokrksheet and I wanted to send it to someone. I did not want to send the entire workbook only the sheet I was actively working on. So, I clicked "convert to PDF". i got a warning that I would only be alowed 1 excel to pdf conversion per 30 days. This annoyed me, but I looked over the worksheet and decided it was finished and so i clicked to convert it. It sked me to chose a file and listed my workbook as an option. I looked for some way to limit the conversion to the 1 sheet, but found no such option. So, I chase the workbook, hoping it would alow me to choose a worksheet option, but  was not give such an option. Instead I ended up looking at a PDF of my entire workbook. I tried deleting pages but only got pop ups telling me I would need to join Adobe pro to do this. At this point I was more than annoyed, especialy wen I saw that wen the converted pdf pages did not correlate  in such a way that when the data on a wo

Hello,I am making an interactive PDF from InDesign CS5 and would like to have the presentation loop. I have my page transitions set, but I don't see anywhere to set the document to loop. Is there a setting within InDesign/Acrobat that I am missing? Is this possible?I am using Acrobat Pro Pro 9.3.3 and InDesign CS5 7.0

When my laptop computer was first set out by the company's IT department they misspelled my name, so every comment I did in adobe would come out with my name spelled wrong, I had the IT guys fix my Laptop's Log in name but when I comment in Adobe, it still shows the same misspelled name, is there a way to make Adobe recognise the new name in the Windows 10 log in?? By the way I have the "Always use log in name for authors name" checkbox checked.

Hi Team, In last couple of moths I've having too many issue with Adobe with windows- application error.Not sure why it keeps happing, I followed these steps which did temporary fixed it1. Find your Adobe Acrobat program.2. Right Click --> Properties.3. Select Compatability tab.4. Click on Run Compatability Troubleshooter.5. Select Try Recommended Settings.Is there a way around to fix this issue permantaly. And why is it giving diffrent code everytime. There are few more but i believe this would doMany thanks          

Anyone else having issues with constantly having to re-authenticate Acrobat?  NOTE TO ADOBE -  You have made what was a wonderful and convenient tool into a cumbersome and painful one by the introduction of your overly paranoid licensing protocol.   Sign in- sign out – get a code – re-enter passwords FOR WHAT?  So registered users can use the software meant to make communication and sharing documents easier?  The list of PDF alternatives is a long one. Get with customer needs and stop the false campaign of “authenticity” against us.
