Why are my files being saved as a .23 File instead of just the regular format of .pdf?!When I send documents to others, they have issues trying to open them, and that is how I found out that almost every time I save a pdf document, it is being saved as a .23 file automatically. It happens when I download a PDF, if I make any name changes it turns into a the .23 file which is impossible to change the format to .pdf, just if I open the file and using the "save as"option and saving the file again it changes to the regulat .pdf format but it takes a lot of time to work like that if I have a lot of files to save or d/l. or I can d/l PDFs and make no name changes and it works as a PDF document - however, this then entails going into each and every document and changing the name post d/l which takes a lot of time as well.I have researched as much as I could and have found no solution that haleped me to solve this problem , I tried reinstalling and a few solutions and guidelines I found&nb

Hello,  I recently started running into an issue with the newer versions of Illustrator regarding window size when using fullscreen.  Firstly, I will describe my monitor setup.  I have three monitors.  My left most monitor is a 2k Vertical setup Monitor, the center is a 4k Landscape monitor, and the right most monitor is a HD Cintique tablet. When making the window fullscreen on my main display (the center most 4k Monitor), or rather maximized to fill the monitor (not the fullscreen feature in-app) the right side of the window extends well beyond the monitor bounds.  It does not extend into the display on the cintique, but rather is unviewable what-so-ever.  Upon trying to drag the window away to make it small again, the window shoots out across all three monitors, extending down bellow my taskbar, completely out of view, and out of bounds of my mouse.  No matter what I do, the program will not properly display the full program on my 4K moni

This happened about a month ago, before all of this, my playback was not dropping frames but all of a sudden, it does now. I been looking for solutions, tried them but they don't work. I record in 4k 60fps on MKV. I have an RTX 4070 super, an Ryzen 7-7800X3D and 32GB of RAM.

Do I need a new computer to use Indesign - My Mac is only up to Catalina - I know my desktop is really old an am guessing the software can't be used on it - is there an earlier version or a fix or do I have to spend the money?!

In the Layers panel, I noticed that all Fill Color layer icons have a gray slider bar illustration at their bottom: What is the purpose of that slider bar icon visualization? What is it inducing?

Charlotte.

Long time Lightroom user since version 1.0. Since Lightroom updated to 14.0.1 (Windows) I have been having trouble Importing photos from my memory card to the (internal) hard drive on my workstation. The process would be stuck at "Copy and Import Photos" and nothing happens. It would not copy the files, let alone renaming and cataloging them. When I cancel the import, Lightroom Classic would say "No photos or videos were found to import" and eject the card. This is the stuck screen.I have tried to:1) Start a new catalog. Same result.2) Uninstall, restart, reinstall Lightroom Classic. Same result. Lightroom has basically become useless. Is anyone else encountering this issue?

If I open a photo in the Detail view, zoom in on it, and then zoom back out, Lightroom will no longer show the photo centered in the view. Worse, once it gets into this state, every photo I open will appear off-center (and cut off at the edge) in the view.   The amount of "off-centered-ness" is proportional to where in the photo I zoom in. If I zoom in on the corner of the photo then every photo after that will have only that corner showing in the Detail view.   The only way to fix the issue is to close the app and restart it.   Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Version 5.2 Build 20220128-1049-86119e0 MacOS Monterey 12.1

I am suffering through yet another gratuitous UI change that turns what was for decades a simple task and turned it into a convolute MESS. I just want to create a simple scrolling text graphic at the end of a video.  I have gotten to point where I can do most of the actions in the properties panel but I can't get a smooth scroll from the keyframes--it just jumps when I set a keyframe for the entering postion and then another for exiting frame position.  There is no "scrolling" checkbox like there was in the past--it is not on my properties panel.  There is something called velocity it but doesn't make any movement happen. Can somebody reply with the simple (4-5 step) checklist of how to create  a simple scrolled text title like I have been doing for decades in previous versions.  Most of the instructional videos are useless since there have been so many radical changes in how to create simple text in the last few years.     &n

Hi there, While trying to use the color picker found within the Color Grading panel, an alert popped-up with the message:  “Adobe Lightroom Classic” is requesting to bypass the system private window picker and directly access your screen and audio. This will allow Adobe Lightroom Classic to record your screen and system audio, including personal or sensitive information that may be visible or audible. I guess it is needed so we can inspect the colors on the image we are working on, but I don't understand why such a broad permission is needed, as the image is shown within the confines of Lightroom app. As I understand from the message, we are granting Lightrrom permission to record our screen and audio system-wide, so whichever other application is open, Lightroom could access it's contents displayed on screen. If somebody knows the reason and could explain it to me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot in advance!

This problem just started today.  First noticed the problem when trying to export.  As soon as export is selected, LR stops responding and becomes non-responsive.  The only way out is to Force Quit the program.  Even if LR is started, and then I try to exit the program, it hangs up and I have to do a Force Quit.Ive tried deleting LR from the CC app and reinstalling it, to no avail.  I've tried downgrading to an earlier version and same thing happens.  I can't create a new catalog or switch to another catalog without it hanging.  I have no idea where to go from here!Macbook Pro 15-inch, 2018Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MBMemory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

Hi, I'm looking to create an "infinite zoom" but it's just an endless loop of one location/scene. When I searched for tutorials and help on this, all I could find is a zoom through multiple scenes/images/locations, which is not what I'm looking for.  What I'm thinking of is something more like this :  I found an infinite hallway tutorial where you build a 3D box of sorts using a photo and perspective tools, but I don't know if I can do that with nature or city scenery like the above GIFs.

suddenly, I can't move objects with the selection tool. I can use arrow keys. I can move only if I drag from the center point. very annoying!I've tried restarting, rebooting, turning various view settings on and off (outline, edges, corner widget), pasted and drawn elements, a wireless and a wired mouse.currently i'm testing by opening a new 500 x 500px document, drawing a red rectangle, selecting the Selection tool, and trying to drag the rectangle. it's the only Illustrator file open, so there's it's about as simple as it gets.i'm using Windows 10, Illustrator 23.0.1 64bit with massive 256GB RAM (so it's probably not memory related).

I pay for premium LR but don't have access to any of the premium features. Infact it has deleted all edited pictures AND my presents I made yet it's still coming out of my bank account?

How do I know the resolution (DPI?) of a PDF file? Can you see it in Acrobat?

Merci d'avance,  Louis b

Something really strange just happened. I have a folder with subfolders , each containing several hundred photos. I was working in one of the subfolders, which contained a mixture of PNG, JPG, and JXL photos. Of the 350 photos, 14 were PNG. Here's a breakdown: I filtered to show only PNG files.Selected all of them and ran an export that converts them to JXL and imports them back into the catalog. After the conversion/import was complete, I selected the PNG files again and used the Remove command to delete them from disk.Suddenly, those 14 newly imported JXL photos are thr ONLY photos that will show up in my catalog. Everything else has vanished—and not only from that subfolder, but from ALL the subfolders in the parent folder. I can't figure out what's going on. If I try to synchronize the folder, it shows that it will import 336 photos, but when the import window comes up there's nothing there because it thinks all the photos are duplicates. If I use the Find All Missing

I have the same (up-to-date) versions of LR and PS on my laptop as my desktop and preferences are identical. LR on my laptop will not enable any of the extended 'Edit In' options for Photoshop 2025 but will for the beta version. Hi everyone!I’ve been exploring how Adobe Firefly can assist in designing creative menu layouts for restaurant-style websites. I’m experimenting with image prompts and layout ideas for a small fan project called mellowmushroommenus.com — it’s not official, just something I made to test design possibilities.Has anyone here tried using Firefly to generate textures, food photography, or layout backgrounds for web design projects?I’d love to hear which prompt styles or aspect ratios give the best results for realistic menu imagery.

The system was unable to recognize ~ as a valid plugin. An error message with this content appears. After building the sample program from the downloaded SDK, placing it in the PlugIn folder, then modifying that program and reinstalling the PlugIn, this message appears. The modification was simply changing a comment—a change that seems completely harmless from a programming perspective. Could this be some kind of security measure? How should I handle this?
