Solved

I have earlier been able to create indexes of keywords starting with a number, such as "1734 års lag". Now it doesn't work either in CC2025, CC2024 or CC2022. Indesign crasches as I hit ok in the add index post dialog.I also tried to just select "års lag", an then add the "1734" manually in the dialog, but with the same result.I have restarted programs and computer. Working in Sonoma 14.5 on a macbook pro, 2021.What is the problem?

I understand that there is a script to easily assign an export to PDF in printers spreads (printerspreads.jsx) however, I cannot find this in my system or where I might download.  I need to be able to export the catalog without adjusting manually.  New to INDD so any help is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I’m working on a multi-page InDesign document and every time I place new text, it causes the existing content to reflow or shift. Is there a way to lock the layout or prevent this text reflow when adding new content? I want to maintain my current design structure. Thanks!

Hello, I'm drawing a polygon on a PDF and I'd like to create a link from that shape to another file. Once I draw the polygon, I don't see an option to create a link. Can anyone help? Is it possible to create an "irregularly-shaped" link? Thank you.

After two chats, a phone call, and two emails with the technical document tech support branch, I've learned that signing out of framemaker and reformatting your hard drive will not reset activations and Adobe will not help with resetting the activations. They feel that a perpetual license is not perpetual and offer to solution other than purchasing a rental version that seldom is updated.

Hey there. I have made a document which contains embedded YouTube videos which I have published online. When viewing the document on a desktop computer everything appears fine and the videos play as normal however when accessing the link on a smartphone the videos do not appear. They are present because f I tap where they are located the audio begins to play but the video itself does not show. Is there any way around this as I suspect the main way that the audience of the document will access it will be through a smartphone. I have tried this on IOS using Safari and Chrome and neither work. Although it works fine on Android. Is there any way this can work without making significant changes to my InDesign file? I have tried using inserted videos instead of embedded videos but this didn't work as the file size was too large to publish online.   Thanks!

hi,I'm trying to work with folders/bins using UXP, but I'm having trouble navigating through the folder hierarchy and getting references to subfolders.Calling getRootItem() gives me a FolderItem{}, which is expected. However, when I try to go one level deeper using getItems(), I only get ProjectItem objects in return — even if the actual items are folders. Since I can only call getItems() on a FolderItem, I'm stuck. How can I access the contents of a subfolder?root├── folder1├── folder2│      ├── subfolder1│      └── subfolder2│               ├── movieclip1.mov│               └── movieclip2.movHow can I get the contents of something like subfolder2?Thanks a lot!Julian---UXP Developer Tools: 2.1.0.30PPro Version 25.6.0 BETA (Build 9)

Hello! I recently downloaded Lightroom 5 and I've been watching tutorials on YouTube. I'm trying to create my own template for a collage, but noticed I don't have the "Template Browser" tab on the left hand side. How do I get this tab? Thank you in advance!Note: The tabs I do have: Navigator, Catalog, Folders, Collections and Publish Services. When right clicking on the side panel, it doesn't even give me the option for select Template Browser.

Hello! Anyone knows why masking tools are glitching that bad when I try to brush or to linear gradient something? I'm leaving a video to show the exact problem.  This glitch is persisting only on some photos, fot the next photo for example its working fine. I'm having this problem from a while, but I couldn't find a solution.    https://youtu.be/aopu3tpKpV8    [Moved from ‘Bugs’ to ‘Discussions’ by moderator, according to forum rules. I have two text fields - Text1 and Text2.  Both are fomatted for dates in m/d/yy format.  When I enter a date into Text1, I would like Text2 to populate with a date that is eleven months later, plus enough days to go to the end of that month.  For example, if 7/17/25 is entered into Text1, I would like Text2 to populate with 6/30/26.  Since months don't end on the same day (28th, 29th, 30th, 31st), I'm not sure if this is possible.  TIA for any help.

HelloI'm working on a 500-page document in InDesign 18 containing an index of approximately 2,000 names. The indexing was done in Word, but upon import, I realized I'd lost some indexes. So I completed it in InDesign. Halfway through the 500 pages, I launched an index generation to show the author. There were no issues. Now, I'm nearing the end of the work and I want to launch the index. It immediately tells me that the index cannot be generated due to invalid characters. But how can I find these characters? I've reread it several times and can't find anything unusual.I used the KPS Index Editor script, which didn't find any errors. I'd like to be able to export this index so I can analyze it better and find the problem.Do you have any ideas to help me complete this work?

Hello, The software has been very slow since the last update. I have an XPS 15 laptop with 64GB of RAM. When I'm working in Lightroom, I constantly have to close everything and restart to regain some speed. However, neither the processor and the RAM ever exceed 40% and 30% of their capacity under Windows. What can i do ?

New here and not very experienced with Adobe so go easy lol and sorry if this has been covered.  I have Lightroom classic and have imported 200ish raw photos 25-30mb photo size.  When I'm in develop mode switching from picture to picture to compare images it's painfully slow for it to load the clarity of the image and then when I go back to the other image same thing takes like 7 seconds to load the clarity.  This is just switching back and forth between two images takes a long time for it to load then same problem when I switch back to other image.  I read Abobe having slow problems but pretty sure it's not as bad as what I'm dealing with if anyone can help please.   Frustrating trying to develop photos waiting 5-10 seconds for picture to load just to compare two images to see which one is better.  Thank you in advance for your help.

HiI know this might be a trivial question but I can't disable "take a snapshot" function. In previous versions I could change it to scroll screen by hand or smth like that. Here, once I tick it on in edit menu, I can't disable it and change back to normal state. This is not convinient because whenever I click somewhere, all page is copied to clipboard...Im just wondering why Adobe Reader programist don't make such tools idiot resistable. Here is my example 🙂Thaks and regardsPaul

Please enable the Pen Angle Detection and Barrel Roll feature in Illustrator iPad. Thank youCurrently, iPad and the new 2024 Pen have enabled pen rotation, but Illustrator's Brush Tool does not have this setting. This is a very good feature for users. Please enable this.
