The June 2026 Photoshop update is here, bringing more creative choices and meaningful workflow fixes. What’s newThis release expands creative choice in Generate Image with access to custom‑trained AI models, similar to what you’ve seen with Generative Fill. You can now choose from Adobe and partner models, including Firefly Image 5, Flux.2 Pro, and Gemini, making it easier to explore different visual styles, achieve stronger photorealism, and get results that stick closer to your prompts. Keeping your Layers panel organized just got a whole lot easier. Layer Cleanup in Photoshop 27.6 and above automatically deletes empty layers and renames layers based on their content, so you can focus on creating, not housekeeping. With a single action from the Layers panel, Photoshop scans your document and removes blank pixel or text layers that tend to pile up during exploration. At the same time, it can intelligently rename layers, giving them clear, descriptive names that reflect what’s inside, so you no longer have to guess what “Layer 37 copy 2” contains. You’re in control of how much cleanup happens. Run it across the entire document for a full reset, or apply it only to selected layers when you want to tidy up as you go. Here is a quick tutorial demonstrating this feature. Why this mattersFaster navigation in complex files Cleaner handoffs when sharing PSDs with teammates Less friction when revisiting older projects Better layer discipline without manual effortWhether you’r

I’m using Geometry panel in ACR on everyday basis, but after some latest update it is harder to use again. Why geometry panel is now collapsed by default, when there is no need to save space for other tools? Why do I have to expand panel for every single image? How do I make it expanded by default? Why do you do these nonsense changes, that dont help, Adobe?
Hey everyone, i've noticed that when I add bullet-listing styling to my paragraphs and then export them to pdf the symbols don't appear (watch image 1) , they only do when exporting to png or before exporting (see image 2) Does anyone know how to solve this? Or is it a bug? Photoshop 2025, version 26.3.0 release
I am experiencing 3 problems with photoshop When I add a text and I want to go to filter gallery and add HALFTONE to add lines on my text It doesn’t apply it All of my blend modes when i hover on them it either turn them white or black and that's it when I want to make a text transparent after I added effect (changing the R,G,B Channels to make a cool effect) it instantly turn it black and if i want to make the background black or other colors it fully cover the entire text. Its so weird because previously it worked perfectly but when I try to do another one this happen. I tried everything from Uninstalling photoshop, Adobe cleaner tool, to graphics card updates but nothing would work
I just installed 27.9 version of beta photoshop today. The profiles seem to be a mismatch between beta version 27.9 and the regular photoshop 27.6 for RGB images. This only started happening when I upgraded to the beta today. All of my RGB images are coming up this way. They should be the same. They both have the same profile. When I re-apply the profile it’s still different, darker. beta 27.9 is on the left, 27.6 is on the right.Does anyone know what’s going on with this?
I was given a lot of photos of diagrams and asked to remove the creases so they would look a bit flatter. How can I do this in Photoshop? The photo shows an example of creases.
i went to developer site, create the project and wanted to add to APIall of the things that i wanted, cannot be added to apii subscribe to creative cloud pro for API and now none of it work. How to make it work?
Ever since I got a new M5 MacBook Pro Photoshop either freezes on launch or locks up just as it finishes launching. It's unusable. All I can do is force-quit. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app (twice) and renamed the prefs folder so it would generate a new one but nothing works.
Photoshop 2026 will not open. It starts to boot but then just disappears/crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have tried starting and holding ctrl/alt/shift. I have tried closing all the adobe related programs in Task Manager. This is infuriating while trying to work with clients. Can anybody shine any light on this for me?
Wanted to upgrade to photoshop elements 2026.Went to the site and downloaded a trail that last for seven days before being charged for the product. After using the software i decided not to purchase. Now I can’t find anywhere to cancel the trial. It is not in my Adobe account. Where can I find this product listed?
One thing that really stands out to me with Adobe’s Firefly-powered features, especially the new Harmonize feature in Photoshop, is that it’s trained only on licensed or public-domain data, never on our personal projects. This means the native Adobe AI model in Photoshop (Firefly) is designed to work for you, not from you. In other words, it helps you create without using your personal projects as training data. By contrast, other AI models may use different methods and don’t always provide the same clarity, leaving the consent process less transparent. So here are my questions for the community: Do you think an ethical approach to training data changes how much you trust AI tools? Would transparency about not using your work without consent make you more likely to try features like Harmonize? More broadly, how does the way AI models are trained affect your creativity and your willingness to see them as partners in your process? I’d love to hear how this tran
I am converting a large number of files (.ai and .psd) to .png. Within Photoshop, I can do this efficiently using automation tools. The only problem is that when I convert a tranche of files, I am noticing that the height and width of the first image in the batch is being imposed on the other images in that batch. Example: If the first image is 5 x 1 in, those dimensions are applied to every other image in that batch after conversion. Desired behavior is that each image should keep its original dimension. I understand how to do this when converting images one-by-one, but how can I prevent this when working in batches? Thank you.
Product: Photoshop Beta 27.9.0 (and previous version)OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 26200.8655If the image is in Greyscale Mode, choosing the Selection Brush shows a circular selection brush as expected, but holding down the mouse button doesn’t select anything - no pink overlay is shown, nothing is selected. Switching to the Marquee Tool confirms that nothing was actually selected (there is no selected area). Converting the image to RGB and using Selection Brush works properly. Convert it back to Greyscale and it’s broken again. This has been working fine for years but broke about a week ago (at least one previous beta version). It still works correctly in Photoshop Mainline 27.8.0.
Is there a way to turn off the sample text in the Photoshop Character palette? I thought I had this one solved by just setting the "Number of Recent Fonts to Display" to "0". This tactic has worked for years and it was working but now the previews are back even with the 0 recent fonts set. I can't figure out how turn them off and I’m about ready to uninstall the most recent Photoshop updates.
I have a new install of Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Photoshop. Before I did anything, I tried using the brush tool to paint a line. I discovered that at 100% hardness, the brush tool does not fill the circle that represents the brush all the way to the edge. See attached photos. (1) The first photo shows the brush filling black paint on a gray background. You can see that the paint does not fill in to the edge of the circle. The brush is set to 100% hardness, 100% Opacity, 100% Flow, 10% Smoothing. Default setup from Adobe install. (2) The second photo shows the Settings for the Cursor in Preferences. Again, all default from Adobe. Why is this not filling the circle 100% and how can I change this? Thank you!
When printing in Photoshop the default resolution is 240 dpi. I would like to increase this to 300 dpi and would be grateful for advice on how this can be done.
My genereative ai credits are disappearing without me using any ai. I opened a jpg in photoshop, went to the adjustments panel and manually used the sliders to adjust the levels. When I opened Photoshop I had 34/1000 credits left. When I saved out my jpg after adjusting the levels I had 33/1000 credits. I did not use any form of the generative ai.Additionally when I do use the generative ai to extend one photo it uses far more than one credit. This morning I started with 60/1000 credits. I opened the jpg I wanted to extend. I used my crop tool to extend all sides to where I wanted them and hit generate to fill in. I flattened my image, saved and closed, my credits went all the way down to 34/1000.
