Why do you need this button if it does nothing? 

Before updating to Premiere Pro 2025 Version (25.3),  2024 was working perfect and never had this issue. ever since the update I'm struggling with this issue. I stopped the "Generating Peak file"  thinking it would help. But Still every time its reopened its stuck doing the same.     

I am currently working on a television project that has multiple cams (GoPro's, Sony's, and a RED Gemini 5k). I have setup all my RAW project files for each day under a production, and have had no problems with any footage, until I began importing R3D files. I made sure not to change the file structure when copying the files off of the production RAID and onto our company's server. Then, I used the media browser to import all files. The problem is that every second or thrid time I go to re-open a project with R3D files in it, it does the following things: 1. It will begin relinking media, then stop at a certain percentage, and not go any further.2. If I try to manually relink the R3D files (which have not been moved or touched since first ingest) the program freezes and stops responding until I close it. I have tried every solution I could find including:- resetting app preferences- resetting plugin load order- deleting my media cache files- changing my media cache

Hi All, My wife and I record gaming content through OBS, we play multiplayer games so I am on my PC and she is on hers. I have it setup so that, through both of our OBS, the game audio records to one track, and the mic audio records to another so that I can individually adjust volume if required. This means that when I import both sets of footage into premiere pro there are 4 separate audio tracks, 2 x game audio, 2 x MIC; and I have just started using multicam to edit this footage which is going great so far. However, the challenge I am currently facing is that, each time I switch to the other persons footage, I have to manually mute the game audio track from the footage I have just switched from so that you can only hear the game audio from the current persons perspective.  My question is: Is there a way, given the above scenario and using multicam, where each time I switch to the other persons footage; I can mute just the game audio track of the footage I have just switched from?  T

i opened premiere pro today and all my projects that i have are not there anymore. ive checked files and i just cant find anything! i have put in hours and hours of time into some of these projects so i need some help!

Im having 4 issues with the transform effec in Premiere Pro 2026 (Check video for visuals) Issue no.1 :  when using zoom in and then out , the zooming out is bugged and will always zoom out differently from 2024 (same presets are imported to 2026)Issue no.2 :Using 2 transform preset ( zoom in + zoom in ) will always resault in the 2nd zoom to be misaligned from the 1st zoom in Issue no.3: Changing the scale value will reset the keyframe to liner Issue no.4:When selecting all keyframs(ctrl + A) tryign to move all keyframes doesnt workadobe version : 26.0.0 (build 72)system : windows 11 proCPU: AMD R9 995xGPU: Nvidia RTX 5070 ti Driver: Studio 591.74

I have Premiere set to save the cache in my D drive. I’ve had this set this way for some time and never had an issue since I did it.Today, the program keeps saving on my C drive, in the public folder for some unknown reason, even though it’s still set to put those files in my D drive in a set cache folder. 

Hello,We have developed for my company (a digital media) a whole series of MOGRT templates created with After Effects CC 2025.Each template is very complex. It allows the user to select: a brand (which affects the template colors), a language among 9 available (which affects the called font, kerning, leading, etc.), a format (16:9 or 9:16), and then template-specific parameters (text input fields, X/Y position offsets, safe zone display, etc.). Since the launch of these templates within the company two weeks ago, we have been facing massive feedback from users, which completely calls into question the workflow we had planned to improve the branding of our video productions.In this thread, I will detail a first issue related to fonts, affecting certain letters within certain words (it appears very random).The issue can be observed both during editing in the timeline and in the final export.The letters that seem to lose their connection to the correct typography are chosen complete

I'm running 25.4.1 and I am not able to import an XML from Resolve. When I try to import the file I get an error message without any details or explanation.   Has anyone else run into that lately?

I’m an Assistant Editor and am needing to un-nest nested video and audio sequences in order to export an EDL to our archival producer reporting which archival clips are being used in our cut, and what the Source TC In/Out of those clips are.Is there an extension that quickly un-nests nested audio & video sequences (the audio ones are usually ringouts). I don’t need to carry over any effects, resizes/repositions, etc.; I just need to have the assets within the nested sequences in the sequence so they will show up in the EDL.

On an M3 MacBook Pro, Premiere 2025. macOS Sequoia 15The window that opens after clicking "Locate" on the Link Media window is mostly empty space, unable to be expanded/adjusted, and very difficult to navigate. When working on multiple projects, starting a new project, handling media, etc, this window is frequently used, and is very annoying to use like this when handling hundreds of files:  

Using MOGRT in Timeline and changes e.g. text value. "Render and Replace" renders .mov-File with default values! After "Restore Unrendered" and again "Render an Replace" rendered .mov-File is correct. Using MOGRT multiply times in timeline "Render an Replace" always use same filename (not increasing) and replace files thats leads to error retrieving frames. Steps to reproduce:  Import MOGRT via Graphics Templates-Panel multiple times to Timeline Change e.g. text value Render and Replace (Source: Sequnece, Format: Quicktime, Prest: Match Source - Apple ProRes444, Location: Next to Original Media) - select clip for clip (not selct mulitple clips) Result: Renderd .mov-File shows wrong (default) values, all rendered .movs gets same filename, error retrieving frame  Expected result: Rendered .mov-File show right values, multiple files gets increasing filenaming Bug exists in Version 25.5 and still in Beta 25.6.0 (74) not in Version 25.3   System: Mac Studio 2023 (M2 Max)

Input data: Premiere Pro 23.6.0 and Premiere Pro 26.0.0 installed on the same PC with 14600K, 64 GB of DDR4 Ram, RTX 3080, Samsung М.2 SSD. Media: mp4-h264, 4K, 29,97 CFR, 4:2:0.The test performed is here:In this video you can see 2 obvious things: 1) insane lags (actual frame skips) in Pr 26 with silky smoothness in Pr 23, and 2) the difference between iGPU versus dGPU operation.Question: how come? One and the same system, one and the same media on one and the same storage. It’s outta question that before these tests the cache had been deleted and the Premieres started anew. No aggravating circumstances!Opinion: out of all the new features, AI, clever search and generative extend I’d prefer to get the old iGPU over dGPU priority back and have the same fast and fluid timeline performance as it used to be.

We are aware that customers who saved projects in Premiere v25.6.0 may find that those files now open only in v26 (beta) and cannot be opened in v25 versions. We know this is disruptive, and we’re working on a fix.    What you need to know:  Projects saved in v25.6.0 save in the v26 version format.  Because of this, they can’t be opened in earlier versions, including v25.6.1 (even though it is the current generally available release)  We’re developing a tool that will let you convert affected projects back to a v25-compatible file.     Our Solution  We’re building a small app that will convert a v25.6.0-saved project back to the v25 format. We’ll share more information, including availability and instructions, as soon as the tool is ready in the coming days.     We know that there is nothing more important than the reliability of a project file, so we’re working with urgency to get this downgrade tool in your hands

I have dozens of text items that I would like to reposition with one command rather than moving each individually. Is that possible? Using the Master Style tool I can adjust their color and fontof all text items simultaneously, but somehow Master Style does not include any text alignment parameters. Intuitively, you would expect that you could select all text items and then just go to the Effects panel to transform them as you'd do for a single text item. Sadly, that feature isn't implemented. These text items are burned-in Closed Captions that I created manually because the editing of built-in Closed Captions is a mess, but now I'm seeing that the text tool might be limited too. Hi, everyone, I am an occasional user, so I hope it's just a blunder on my end, but I can't seem to find a solution online for this. I am stabilizing a video footage by using the warp stabilizer. It works (i.e., I can see the footage stops shaking in the preview window) but when I go to File->Export Media; it does not export the effect. It will produce an exported video file, but the footage will be the shaky original. Why?!? All I'm doing is:Creating a new project, draging the video to the timeline, applying warp stabilizer (waiting for it to complete processing), and then trying to export. Do I have to apply the changes or something like that? The tutorials in the web do not seem to do that! Thanks in advance! 

Anyone else seeing consistent crashing of Premiere 2026? I have the latest update as of February 4th, flushed cache multiple times, re-installed, restarted computer, etc. But certain elements such as:Scrubbing the Timeline Adding Effects Adding CAPTIONS (of all things)Freezes the program and requires a forced quit. Attached is where the captions usually sit and fail before the crash occurs.I’ll likely downgrade to Premiere Pro 2025 if not addressed soon - but checking to ensure I’m not the only one and I need to look at my own stuff? Currently on Macbook Pro 14” with M2 MAX. 

Hi, I'm running Premiere and Media Encoder Version 24.3.0 on Windows 11. I'm having a strange issue where if a Sequence in Premiere has been renamed at any point (for example 'Amazing_Edit_V001' to 'Amazing_Edit_V002', whenever I go to export that sequence using Media Encoder, it sets the default Output Filename to the previous sequence name,  'Amazing_Edit_V001'. Regardless of whether or not I shut down all the programs or even restart my computer after renaming the sequence. It was always inherit the original sequence name. This will also happen if then rename the sequence again to 'Amazing_Edit_V003', it will still maintain the original 'V001' filename when sent to Media Encoder. I should specify that this only applies to the 'Output File' filename. It correctly recognises the the sequence name as the source name on the left.
