I’m testing a responsive Captivate project and some text looks fine on desktop but gets clipped on mobile. Is there a simple fix without rebuilding layouts?

I recently had my workplace install Adobe Captivate so I can create training presentations however when I launch it, it shows the Adobe Captivate image, then it flashes grey, then it flashes black and never proceeds from the black state. I don't know how to fix this, it just gets stuck on this and nothing ever happens.  

Looking for a quick answer here to see if there is any javascript available to enable a button in a project to play the project 1.5x, 2.0x etc. This would not be for an embedded video, but globally play the project when playing in HTML5 these faster speeds. I can find the fps script, speed script, etc - but all of these really impact the timeline resources exclusing the sound narration. Thanks! Dave

I am attempting to upload my course on a LMS. The projects publishes and zips correctly on my computer. When I upload it to the LMS, it fails to upload.  However, I have noticed that when I select Quiz - Enable reporting for this project and publish the project, it then uploads to the LMS.  Does the Enable reporting for this project have to be selected to upload a projecto a LMS? 

We recently updated to Captivate 11.8.1 because our Mac users will be going to Ventura. We are now having problems with our closed captioning. The text is black no matter what color you set it in the settings.  This does NOT happen on the 11.8.1 version for Windows, so it's obviously Mac related. We are stuck with this version and we caption all our training which will be going live in a month. Anyone have a fix or a workaround?

OK, let me go straight to the point:Look at this image: I have a valid serial number for Captivate 11:I download the product, install it and... NEVER ASKS ME FOR THIS SERIAL! Instead, I login using the same Adobe ID associated with this serial and purchase and... ta dah!! appears in trial mode.Please is there ANYBODY out there that is able to reply something meaningful to this mess????? Thanks 

I'm a creative cloud user and just downloaded the captivate free trial. It keeps freezing and crashing and is unusable. I have a brand new Mac that is updated and says it's compatible.  i tried every suggestion I could find on these message boards and online. NOTHING is working. Even if I get it to open and begin working I can add one word to a slide and when I go to save it freezes my entire computer and I have to manually restart.  i also found adobe support is practically non existent and their AI chat bot is worse than useless. does anyone have a magic secret for getting captivate to function?  Please oh please I have spent my entire evening just trying to get this to work. 

I created a several test simulation in the "New" Captivate without success (I'm running the latest Ventura on Macbook Pro). The audio works inside the application and in preview, but not when I open the html file in my browser. Am I missing something?There's no way to toggle the audio setting in the preferences in this new version. There's a dropdown menu for an "Audio Virtual Driver:" but there's nothing there to select. I do not know how to fix this problem. I would appreciate any advice!

I've made a project on the New Captivate, everything went fine while working and previewing, but when I publish the project, the fonts I used change completely to Times New Roman. Should I use Arial only? I don't remember having this issue on Captivate Classic. Am I missing something?Another issue I ran into, my project has audio in the timeline, it works fine on Windows but there's no audio on mac, at least not on Ventura, not Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Brave. My project has a video embedded and the audio works when published, but the timeline audio is missing on Mac. Is this a bug?Thanks in advance for any help you can provide here. 

Good Morning All. Our company originally had 2019 Captivate Classic and the "Return to Quiz" feature worked like a charm. Our company decided to install the New Captivate and keep the original Captivate Classic that we had been using. The benefit of using the New Captivate was evaluated to not be a workable fit for our Team at this time. So we the developers are continuing to use the 2019 version. BUT the "Return to Quiz" feature does not work. ANY fixs out there. We are currently having to use "Return to Quiz" buttons on the remediation page, and advanced actions on each quiz question to get it to show when the learner choses the wrong answer.

Is there still a way to create/use geolocation based variables in the All New Adobe Captivate? To us, this was a real differentiator in the Classic version! 

I am producing 4 lengthy modules that include software simulations (i.e., LOTS of slides in the modules). Next buttons are set to appear when narration for each slide ends. My SME just requested that learners be allowed to navigate freely after completing the course. I figured that would be easy...add a variable to the last slide entry (varModuleComplete), and then show the header with the TOC button if varModuleComplete=true. Unfortunately, Show and Hide doesn't work for the header and footer.It looks like my options are this:Show/hide TOC based on varModuleComplete status (Downside: I don't have TOC button on the playbar, so if learner closes TOC, they can't just open it again.)Have 2 button blocks at the bottom of each slide--one with next buttons showing at the beginning of the slide, and the other with next buttons delayed to the end of the slide, then show/hide both based on varModuleComplete.Is there any way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Hello everyone, I’m running into a weird issue in Captivate 2019 with Next buttons, TOC lock/unlock, and scrub bar disable when publishing to my LMS (uLearn).On Slide 1, On Enter I:Execute JavaScript to disable the scrub barAssign SlideVisited = 1 and SlideFullyVisited = 0Hide the Next buttonOn Exit, I assign SlideFullyVisited = 1.I also lock the inbuilt TOC at the start and unlock it on the last slide.This works fine the first time. But when I refresh the course or revisit it:The scrub bar and Next buttons look enabled at firstAs soon as I go back to Slide 1, the Next button disables again, and it cascades → all my Next buttons on later slides stop workingIf I avoid going back to Slide 1, everything else works fine.Can anyone help me with it? I have enabled self-paced learning, Unchecked never send resume data, and allow backtracking is enabled.I realized Slide 1 is re-running the On Enter script every time, resetting variabl

Hello, I have an issue with Adobe Captivate 12.5. Whenever I try to import an image from the asset image gallery, nothing happens. I click on replace the image, captivate starts loading, but nothing happens, no errors, nothing - the image is just not uploaded to the project and the default picture remains there. The strange thing is that there are no issues with uploading my own images from my pc.  It’s not just images, but the entire asset panel behaves in the same way, i.e. slide templates, icons etc. don’t respond as well.  I tried traditional methods of troubleshooting - cleared cache and properties, and the problem still persists. I’m currently using the 30-day trial version, but according to Adobe’s website, this shouldn’t be the source of the issue.  Thank you for your help.

Thank you in advance for your help.  I'm creating a course for my employer, short quiz is at the end of the course. I've noticed the 'review area' that states if they have passed or not, is really plain, boring and can't be overly customised. I was wondering if there was a way I can create two texts boxes and/or buttons that will show on the slide when they have either failed or passed. An advanced action? Java Script? At the moment I have a 'retake quiz' button that takes the user back to the begining of the quiz slides to retry. I tried using a similar advanced action to that but that hasn't worked. I'm not very good with the coding of it all, just want I've found works by researching. Ideally; when the user passes the quiz, the 'congrats you passed, please click continue' will pop up on the quiz results slide...and vise versa for the fail popup. I've attached a couple of photos of what it's running on at the moment, which obviously isn't working be

I am having issues with the new Adobe Captivate CP. It will not launch.  I have tried to run in admin mode and also tried to uninstall all of my Creative Cloud apps so I could use CCleaner to clean up old files and the applications.  I was able to get it to work for a few days, and now the error message has returned.  Any suggestions would be welcome.  Thanks  

Hi, I'm using Captivate Classic (CpC) 2019.  I'm struggling with the radio button widget. I've inserted a widget through Interactions > Learning Interactions. I am able to add my text and adjust font by double-clicking into the widget. I'm also able to delete a radio button from there (I only want one radio button). But I'm having two issues.   No matter what I do to resize the widget box (whether I use the handles or adjust in the properties menu), the content gets cut off. The radio button only has one sentence, and I cannot get that to display properly both in CpC and in preview. Also, as I'm adjusting the widget size, it just becomes bigger and blurrier - but no matter how big I make it, it still cuts the sentence off from displaying. According to this post, I should have action and reporting options for the widget, but I don't. All I can adjust in the properties panel are Style, Options., and Timing.  If I cut my sentence down to the bare mini
