Photoshop

Hi there, I'm having this issue on both Photoshop 2024 v.25.12.0 and Photoshop 2025 v.26.1.0 See attached image. Previously in the Print Settings dialogue, there was an option for media type that had multiple paper type options (e.g. fine art dense, matte photo paper, platinum, etc.). And now there's only the options for paper type to select auto select, photo, or plain paper. I still have my ICC profiles. So I can select Photoshop Manages Colors and then select my profile. But because I can't select the media type specifically the prints are coming out all wrong. Is this a horrible managed PS update? Or is something wrong with my set up? What I've tried so far:Updated to the most current versions of PSDeleted the printer (Canon Pro-1000) as well as all the files under /libraryChecked that I am on the latest printer firmware (it is current)Updated/reinstalled the printer driverReinstalled the printer I've been struggling with a strong magenta cast on my printed imag

My cursor is stuck on the hand tool. I have Photoshop 26.9 and Mac 15.6, so I think I'm pretty much up to date. How do I recover use of my other tools?

I know, I know, CMYK colour space is smaller than sRGB so some colours look dim/dull yada yada yada. I'm well aware of  that, but that's not the issue I'm facing. So I'm working in a Photoshop file and forgot to set CMYK colour space at the beginning. When I go to Image > Mode and set it to CMYK the colours looks CRAZY dull, almost as if there's a white filter with 50% opacity set over the whole image. It doesn't make sense. I have experience in printing and I've seen what printers can do, but my orange colour I'm seeing looks more like gray than orange. When I go to websites that convert HEX to the closest CMYK colour my orange looks SO MUCH more vibrant than whatever I'm seeing in Photoshop. But, if I don't do that, and instead go to Edit > Convert to Profile and set CMYK there than the image looks vibrant.  And if I go to create a new file with CMYK at the start, upload my exported png there that the colours also look vibrant, yet it's CMYK mode from the st

Photoshop 2025 was previously working fine and able to open camera raw files with Sony and DJI. Starting Oct 28, it has not been able to open any camera raw files. Photoshop 2025 freezes, and I need to use the task manager to shut it down. Photoshop 2025 is able to open other file types, like jpeg. I have uninstalled Photoshop 2025 with uninstalling preferences and installed it again, and the result is the same. I have gone to Edit/Preference/ Camera Raw Preference/ unchecked Use GPU. Please advise. 

Hi,I am not sure if this is the right subreddit for a question like this, but maybe you can help me.I got a new PC and installed Photoshop.These are my specs:AMD Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core Processor32 GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 TiI am using PS 25My old PC was 10 years old and obviously not as good as the new one. But since I started using Photoshop on my new system (the old one had no issues), I am no longer able to add other PSD files into my projects, for example to create a mock-up.I always get generic error codes that are not helpful at all, such as caad6f.8448.I already checked my performance settings and allowed Photoshop to use up to 100% RAM and the GPU. It has more than enough scratch disk space, and I set file handling to always maximize PSD and PSB file compatibility.Any ideas?

Hi,I have frequently the following problem : I am signed in two times on the same device.I get the error : You have reached your device activation limite.I have to sign out one of them.

In the first time i save .webp file I could choose the image compression, but after the first time it's gone, how I can change the image compression? In the first time: After the first time: 

Every time I open a file in photoshop it automatically adds a new smart layer. I do NOT have "always create smart objects when placing" checked in preferences. How can I stop this ?

Is there a way to set 0 space between artboards in Photoshop? I would like to arrange 3 artboards side by side with no space, similar to what we can do in InDesign. 

Is it possible to buy Photoshop without a subscription? I don't use Photoshop often but I feel like it would be awesome to have it for when I do need to use it like once every month or two. Thanks!

I want a heart shape. The only options in the menu are Wild animals, Leaf trees, Boats and Flowers. Who came up with that menu????? 

Many of our images need to be exported to transparant PNG's for the websites of our customers. Please Adobe, is it possible to add PNG to the Image Processor in addition to the current JPG, PSD and TIFF options. It would make my day (maybe my year 🙂 ).  To be clear, I'm talking about the Image Processor accessible from Bridge > Tools > Photoshop > Image processor. 

I was working on a poster design in Photoshop and ran into a little issue. When I export the file, the colors (especially darker tones) look slightly different compared to what I see inside Photoshop. For example, a shade with values like R:22, G:12, B:14 comes out looking closer to R:21, G:24, B:20 once exported.Is there a way to keep the colors consistent between Photoshop and the exported version? Am I missing something in the color settings or profiles?

Hi everyone,I’ve noticed a recurring issue in Photoshop that seems to be related to Windows rather than Photoshop itself.When I click on a layer to select it, or use Ctrl/Shift to select multiple layers, the Layer Style dialog often pops up unexpectedly. This happens even though I’m not double-clicking or trying to open the layer styles—it’s just a regular selection action.From what I can tell, this isn’t a Photoshop bug, but rather something caused by how Windows interprets mouse clicks. It seems that a single click is sometimes registered as a double-click, especially when using certain mice or touchpads.Has anyone else experienced this?Is there a known workaround—maybe a Windows setting or driver tweak—that can prevent this behavior?Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, I’m working on a flower illustration in Photoshop and I’ve run into a problem that I can’t solve on my own. In the original image (attached on the right), the flower looks solid and blends naturally with the background. However, in the edited version (left), the inside of the flower seems semi-transparent and the background shows through it. I’m not sure if this effect was created by “emptying” the flower’s inner area, by changing the blending mode, or by some kind of masking technique. I’ve tried different blending modes, masks, and opacity adjustments, but I still can’t replicate the exact result. Could anyone explain what technique might have been used here, and how I can achieve this effect properly in Photoshop? Any guidance or step-by-step explanation would mean a lot. Thanks in advance!  

Hi All  - Had to do a Desktop reset back to factory settings.  Photoshop and Lightroom installed on Desktop and Laptop only (2 computers in total)Open Photoshop and I'm informed by pop-up I've reached my device activation limit.  Pop-up lists 3 items - 1) Desktop with serial number. 2)Laptop. make MSI.  3)This Device - (not activated).  THIS DEVICE is the Desktop that has been reset.  How do I get around this?  Should I 'Sign out' of existing Desktop activation?  I'm assuming that if I do this then Adobe will pick up this 'new' device  (Reset Desktop) and activate it.  Yes/No?  Any help appreciated.Regards - Galena1

so i renewed my creative cloud plan and then when i open up photoshop, all the files i have saved there are all deleted. any help?

Bonjour,  Depuis la mise à jour 2025, je me rends compte que je ne peux plus bouger la fenêtre camera raw. Habituellement il suffit de la réduire et de la déplacer comme une simple fenêtre windows. Mais cela ne fonctionne plus, elle reste figée.  Une idée ? 

I've blended together a number of gradient maps to reach a colour scheme that I'm really happy with. Each gradient map has a blending mode. Upon exporting the colours change. Does anyone have any ideas? I've attached screenshots of before and after export. I've also tried to convert to smart object, however it just wipes away the blending mode it seems like?    

An observation in removing people in images. I removed a few people from an image in LrC. I then decided another person should not be in the image. However, when I moved the image to PS and tried to remove them it failed to recognize the person.  Using the same image in PS I was able to add the person and remove them. Are images tagged in the removal of people between apps? Am I missing a step in transferring the image between LrC and PS?

I am using ACR to edit an ORF (raw) file of a shot taken with my OM-1 Mark II with the 80 megapixel and 14-bit settings. When I turn on reflection removal ACR suddently seems unable to display it at the correct resolution. The preview is low resolution and it also opens in PS at a low resolution. If I turn off reflection removal it returns to the normal resolution. The original file is 61MB and too large to upload, but I have attached screenshots of the preview in ACR with reflection removal turned on and off, and also one with the AI noise reduction turned off for reference. I have also uploaded a screenshot of my system information. I am using ACR 17.5 and PS 26.10.

I can't get it to let me add any photos into my pictures
