Photoshop

I was working on a project and I don’t know if I pressed something while I was choosing a font, but now the little previews of my font styles won’t show up anymore. Now I have to guess what the font style is like because I can’t find a solution for it. Does anyone know if it can show up again??

I am using M5 Pro Macbook Pro and it always crashes PS when i try to open my raw images - for HDR blending. It did work until the latest update, but since I updated PS and LrC, it just does not want to do it. Fix would be urgently needed for me, since I have tons of images that must be edited asap. Please fix this bug. I tried everything at this point, even sent reports on it too through the crash report.

I just updated my Adobe Photoshop to Adobe Photoshop 2026 on my HP Envy x360 2 in 1 labtop 14. I realized quickly I can't remove backgrounds or select a subject. For when I select subject the text comes up saying: " Couldn't find a a subject to select, there might not be prominent objects in the image", even though clearly there is a subject. For the when I want to use remove background it says: "Couldn't find background when there is clearly a background.

It truly drives me nuts that often when I click on a layer (in the layers panel) to then do something directly to that layer on the canvas, it many times will start working on / activate a different overlapping or adjacent layer, most times an adjustment layer. But of course it could be any layer that happens to be in the same vicinity. Is there any way to deactivate this? Photoshop didn't used to do this. You had to click on a layer (in the panel) to change it or work on it. My workaround is to temporarily lock or hide the layer I don't want to accidentally select, but it is silly that I have to do that. Whoever thought that clicking on a layer (to change to another layer) directly on the canvas was a good idea, probably doesn't actually USE photoshop on a regular basis. I cannot be the only person who hates this (?) Help!

This is happening with the History, Clone and Eraser tools…  

The Topaz upscaler is not working and is giving an error for the last 24 hours.I tried 2x and 4x.The interesting part is that other upscalers aren't working either. I have Adobe credits. The image is royalty-free.I couldn't solve my problem at all.  

When I use the Lasso Tool in Photoshop version 27.3.1 the selection appears to the right of where my Lasso Tool is pointed. In the included picture I started to at the top left of the dog leash and dragged down on the left, then over to the other side of the leash where it attaches to the dog collar, then up along the right side and finally across the top to the left side of the leash. You can see the selection show where I started, but completes on the far right of the leash. My Performance option “Use Graphics Processor” is checked. Has anyone here tried the new AI Assisted Editor in Photoshop 27.10?I’ve been exploring the new AI workflow, and it seems like a really convenient option for quick edits. I’m especially interested in how other designers are using it for everyday creative work.The natural-language editing approach looks like it could save quite a bit of time. Would love to hear what everyone is trying with it so far.

How do I enable Clipping Warning for the New Light Adjustment Layer?

As the text above says: I want to save my guides in a layout but Photoshop only saves the ones you can generate while making a layout. Please don’t tell me this works like intended because I can’t find words for how stupid that is.

Using Mac OS, I am manually creating an Instagram Reel in Photoshop by stacking multiple images as layers and then converting them into frames using the Timeline panel. However, despite following the correct steps, I do not see the option "Make Frames from Layers" in the Timeline panel menu. Additionally, the "+" (Add Frame) button is missing. This issue has occurred multiple times. The first time, I resolved it by completely rebuilding the file, but now that the issue has reappeared, I believe I am missing something fundamental about how Photoshop handles this process.  I haven't been able to recreate the success from the last time this happened.  Steps Taken & Expected Behavior I am following these steps: 1. Prepare the Document   - Create a new 1080 x 1920 px, 300 dpi document.   - Load multiple images into separate layers using **File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack.   - Ensure the background is blurr

Could someone please help me figure out how to tint this plain maple wood so it matches the stained wood shown next to it in the attached image?I want to preserve the natural wood grain rather than wash it out. Ideally, I’m looking for a way to tint the maple so the existing grain remains visible while taking on the same color and appearance as the stained wood.  

Enabling 'Spacing' causes this glitch. However, if I uncheck 'Spacing', I can't draw continuous lines or make smooth, connected brush strokes with my mouse.

When I click on text or image layer, the boundry box is tightly fit around the text or opject. As soon as I click the edge of the boundry to expand the text, photoshop changes the slection and includes a much larger area with blank pixels. I used to be able to click and hold a bounry edge and drag to the new size. Now when i click the edge, it expands and then I have to click the new expanded edge to resize.Is there a fix for this? It is incredibly frustrating when trying to align edges. Why can I no longer just drag an edge without it resizing the boundary? If I group the text (Ctrl +G) it will not add the blank pixles when dragging the edge but thats crazy to do for every text layer. What is happening!?

When trying to open Photoshop (any version) the splash screen opens as usual but when it goes away nothing happens, no background task or anthing, Photoshop completely crashes. The splash sceen always dissapears at the same mesage, roughly translated from german it says “calculating memory/storage”. Selection Brush tool doesn't work on grayscale pages, didn’t tried all the other modes, but I’m sure it doesn’t work on grayscale pages.The history shows I used the Selection Brush tool, but no selection is made at all, all other selection ways works just fine, including quick mask mode.

There were some great entries that showed the imagination and skill of this community.The regulars in these challenges will know that sometimes we start with a scene and sometimes an object. This week we have two starter images, the first with a magnifying glass and a paper. The second is the same magnifying glass but with a transparent background. You can use either, or both, to start your entry.
