Photoshop

Hi, I have a problem with the PS startup screen. I don't see thumbnails of recently edited files. I reseted PS settings, reinstalled PS and unfortunately can't turn on preview.Anyone have any idea?  

When I try to print, it goes to PageManager PDF in the printer window. If I change it to my printer, HP LaserJet 1020, it directs me back to save in file name: NsPdf and does not go to printer.

Hello Everyone!Here is a phenomenon that bugs me!After applying certain filters, e.g. Filter Gallery > Dry Brush ... in combination with a Layer Style, e.g. Pattern Overlay (not sure which is the culprit - or both?) (I have the feeling that some layer styles, especially Patterns do put a lot of strain on...?)Working example: a poster of 28"x24", PSD, 8 bit, file size in lower left corner: 168 MB / 300 MBProcessing gets really slow!! ... e.g. saving, enlarging the view (100%) and other actions.I can hear the fans reving up and it takes several second before it reacts.It also seems to handicap to even open the Filter Gallery, which functions fine without a layer with e.g. Pattern Overlay.Btw: this is a very powerful / new machine: 64 GB RAM, Intel i 9, 13 gen., all SSDs, one only for system, Nvidia 2070, Win11 24H2 latest update (March) ... regular cleanup/housekeeping, all in top shape As soon as I deactivate the layer with the filters, all functions normal / fast. Any sugg

Everytime I click on the object selection tool, Photoshop crashes EVERYTIME!   I have lost the edit on numerous photos - as I edit multiple photos simultaneously - I just lost 3 hours of work!  We need better progammers to fix the bugs before the software is released and the automatic updates where all of the settings are reset to to someone else's default settings really causes delay in workflow too!!  Quit ruining our productivity! Machine:Windows 11Intel Core 7128GB RAM   

I'm on Mac Sequoia 15.3.2 and having lots of problems with photoshop.  here are my issues: 1) When I'm in LR and I select an image and then go to edit in PS, I get only one choice....PS Beta.   Then the file doesn't show up when PS Beta opens. 2) Finally after I go to LR again and select to open the file in PS as a smart object, it opens.  However, when I go to save the file, I get the attached error.   The file is saved however it does not appear in LR. This all is really disconcerting and has completely stopped me using photoshop.  Can someone let me know if this has been identified by the powers that be to be fixed?

This bug is about switching languages on Windows. when using Microsoft Pinyin (Simplified Chinese input method), input any character (like "v" to switch to move tool), then press alt+shift to switch languages, blend mode of current layer is changed to Hard Mix. OS: Windows 11 22H2Photoshop version: 25.4.0Screenshot: 

Buenas tardes. Espero que me puedan ayudar. Quiero guardar un archivo que en tamaño de imagen tiene 300 dpi y un peso de 7,8 MB y cuando doy a guardar como jpg, me baja automáticamente la resolución a 72 dpi y un peso de 400 KB. No me aparece con la calidad original. Así que sólo me deja guardar archivos en baja resolución. ¿Cuál es la razón de ello y cómo puedo solucionarlo? Muchas gracias. Un saludo.

I updated to Photoshop version 21.1.0 a couple days ago.  Now I am having a problem.  When using the clone tool, spot healing, or healing brush (might be a few others I haven't tried) I get random diagonal lines.  I have tried to restart, recheck settings etc. but it is still messed up.Any ideas?Thank you...

PS CC 2017.0.1, MacOS 10.12.6, MacPro 2013When opening a file, PS suddenly stopped displaying the Recent Files workspace this morning. It was working fine and then just quit. It still appears when PS first starts up, but when I use cmd-O or File->Open I just get the standard system dialog. Also, if I close all open files, the workspace appears.Preferences->General has Show "Recent Files" Workspace When Opening A File checked. I have unchecked and restarted, then rechecked and restarted with no change.Preferences->File Handling has Recent File List Contains set to 30. I have tried setting this higher and lower and restarting with no change.Is there some other option I've missed? I'd really like to get this back, as I tend to work on a lot of files with similar file names and the thumbnails are fantastic to make sure I'm getting the right one.Cliff

   Picture 3Picture 4why mixer brush tool is not working correctly in photoshop, & full square should be filled with texture compeltely.I created a circle with beautiful and colorful gradient because I want to create 3d brush like picture 3. However, my mixer brush tool is not working correctly in photoshop. I clicked alt to absorb my circle with beautiful and colorful gradient, and use mixer brush to draw the 3d brush, but the result turns out to be something in picture 4. I've noticed that I can no longer select by clicking on an object in the image anymore. Now I need to go into the layers panel and select from there. The exception is auto-select, which lets me select the object by clicking on it. But I don't like auto-select, it too frequently selects the wrong object.  Photoshop, please let us select from clicking again!

Hi All,  Not sure if i am in the right place, but bear with me.  I have kind of been taught this by a previous manager, but I dont recall the steps, hoping someone here knows what I am referring to.  I have a file in photoshop supplied, its like a honeycomb texture. I need to create a spot colour the same as this, that my printers will print as white ink.  From what I recall, I have created a layer the same as the honeycomb shape. I have made it black. I should then be able to place the file in indesign, and selecting that layer only, change it to a spot colour (with the necessary attributes) that the printer will pick up.  Can anyone help me? I havent found a tutorial for it, and chat gpt has told me its not possible - but i know it is.  Thanks in advance, Ally. 

how to copy multiple layer names at once. I have multiple layers and groups. I need to copy all layer names and group names at once and want to paste it into another place like a notepad or Excel Kindly suggest a solution

I am trying to creat a stacked image of a white flower and I am running into an issue that I have never seen before. I load the files into a stack and auto-align the layers without issue. But after I auto blend the layers the resulting image appears like a blown-out negative image or weird pop-art file. If I combine two photos the results appear normally, but I'm using about 11 files to creat a focus stacked image and it will not render at all. I have not had any issues doing this with multiple files before. Appreciate anyone's assistance in identifying what I'm doing wrong as I am very much a novice with Photoshop.

Hey PS community!For those with the same problem; having Photoshop lifting black levels. As shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izYDPxoH-QM (Also happens with the default Adobe RGB 1998 profile)Together with other artists we found out this only happens on Mac M2 chips, we tested with three different monitors (sRGB, DCI-P3, AdobeRGB), three different calibration tools (Spyder5, SpyderX, Calibrite Display SL) and three different Macs (M2 Studio Max 32, M2 Studio Max 64 and a M2 Mini Pro 16)Which leaves us at the conclusion that the M2 chips and Photoshop causing this bug. Adobe Customer Service only thought that turning PS on/off without a monitor attached could fix the problem, but as this is quite hard to do with a M2 Max/Mini I am waiting until they fix this and considering other software in the meantime.

Photoshop version 20.0macOS Monterey, version 12.0.1Image> Resize> Image Size is changing the size of the canvas, instead of the size of the image on the canvas.I often resize large grayscale images that I have scanned, so that I can create smaller multiples to print on one 8.5" x 11" page.  In the new version, resizing the image *also* resizes the canvas to the same size as the image, instead of preserving the canvas size at 8.5" x 11".  (For example, when I resize an image to 2" x 3", the canvas size changes to 2" x 3" right along with the image.)

In previous versions of Ps, when you opened the program it would display your recent files, you could click on a file and it would open that way. Now the start up just wants to display your cloud saved files. I don't use the cloud. All my files are saved on my local PC. How do I change this to display my local files and not the cloud files that it currently wants to display?
